Good morning from our webcomics! Do you like horrible surprises? Well, neither do our characters.
At A Girl and Her Fed, Clarice experiences...horror!
At Side Quested, Peony experiences...not horror, just a shift in her paradigm. She's not that mentally flexible, tbh.
And a bonus panel for you obligate scavenger lovers.

Some more gorgeous contestants!
Egyptian vultures live not only in Egypt but throughout Southern Europe, North Africa, and Western and Southern Asia. They eat carrion, insects, dung, and eggs. They weigh about 1.9 kg (4.2 lb). They are one of the few birds to use tools: they have been recorded using rocks as hammers to break eggs open, and using twigs to roll up wool they gather for nests. This vulture is represented in the Egyptian hieroglyph 𓄿. They are endangered due to hunting, poisoning, and collisions with power lines.
White-backed vultures live throughout sub-Saharan Africa. They are social vultures, scavenging in groups and nesting colonially. When they find a carcass, they will signal their discovery to other white-backed vultures by wheeling conspicuously in the sky. While they are the most common vulture in Africa, their population is declining rapidly. They are critically endangered due to poaching and habitat degradation.

Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Tool use in any non-human species is a rare and notable event; particularly so for the Egyptian vulture. These birds use pebbles to break open the thick egg shells other birds for food, and have been recorded using twigs to roll up wool for use in their nest. These behaviours are unique only to certain subspecies, but are nonetheless remarkable for their demonstration of intelligence.
