i have some snazzy little opinions, so let’s just go down the line:

!!Really long post under cut!!

-Makoto is a basic bitch, always and forever, and we stan that -Taka looks like a Penguin and you cannot change my mind -Byakuya is just trying to look rich- -Mondo’s outfit is so extra i love it- he even added some probably temporary dye to his pompadour that was hard to see due to the lighting in the group pic -LEON! everyone was calling his fit ugly in the group pic and honestly i’m salty because he and i have the same sense of formal fashion. work it king! -Hifumi’s honestly suits him just fine, i was iffy when i saw it in the group pic but it doesn’t look too awful in full -Hiro..... buddy- i- i mean- what do i say??? it’s ugly as shit and really nice at the same time?? -Sayaka’s formal wear is a massive step up from the outfit she wears in her splash art- i never really liked that dress that much- even if it does have a cultural significance the design the picked felt cheap. But this one is really nice, and i dig it way more -Kirigiri looks pretty, it looked waaaay more purple in the group pic, but looking back the whole thing was over saturated for the lighting affects they did, so i shall forgive. she looks oddly nice in blue actually. -AOI LOOKS LIKE A BETA FISH AND I’M LIVING FOR IT! GO QUEEN!! -Toko’s dress looks way better in full than i expected, because so much of it was covered up i kinda didn’t like it all that much in the group pic, but i’m really digging it now -QUEEN SAKURA! BEAUTIFUL!! A DAMN SUNSET OF A DRESS!!! i love seeing her indulge in being a gorgeous queen despite people’s remarks on her physique -Celeste! also beautiful, but girl are you a vampire?? the layers on that dress- and that’s a massive veil- she’s gotta be overheating in that thing. -JUNKO! Fashionista know’s what’s up! it’s alot less gaudy than some of her casual outfits, but in a way that’s actually pretty good. i love the masquerade mask, it’s a nice touch -Chihiro....... Lucky Charms-

-Hajime’s outfit actually looks better in the group pic than here, i think it’s cause the yellow is more vibrant due to the saturation filter, so it stand out more -Nagito’s outfit is great honestly, i love how they put the shirt design on the sleeves, and i love the half-up hair, and the crooked bowtie- it’s great! -Twogami is a king, all he did was invert Byakua’s outfit and he just pulls it off so much better -Gundham’s is honestly underwhelming. This is Gundham Tanaka for fuck sake! Junko’s is more in character than this. where’s the drama sir???? -Kaz... buddy..... the colors look nice on your jumpsuit, but not an actual suit. I love the suspenders though -Teruteru’s outfit actually make him a bit cute. i’m about 80% sure the brown is suppose to be mud as to reference the fact that he’s characterized as a pig in more ways than one, but i’m choosing to call it a cola pattern ‘cause fuck you i’m going to be nice to him for once -Nekomaru’s suit is... it feels like a cursed amalgamation of a noir detective, a car sales men, a mobster, and a casino owner- and i just works so well on him -Fuyuhiko! i love it, fits him well, but the rolled up slacks are odd and kinda distracts me from the rest of the design- showing off some Bi pride there boss baby? -AKANE IS A DAMN QUEEN!! GOD PLEASE SHE COULD STRIKE ME DEAD IN THAT AND I’D THANK HER -Chiaki’s is simple, but it looks really nice on her -SONIA MY QUEEN! the oversaturation in the group pic did her dress dirty! i saw the blue originally and went “that isn’t her color”, but now seeing it without all the lighting crap she looks alot better.... and also a bit Elsa-ish -Hyoko’s in a lovely Kimono, but she’s always wearing pretty Kimonos, so it’s somewhat underwhelming compared to the rest -MAHIRU YOU SUMMER QUEEN! Mahiru has the best sense of fashion in the whole series imo, her wardrobe’s vibes make me so very happy. I grew up in a christian household (i’m not religious anymore btw) and use to be brought to services, and her dress gives me mad Easter Sunday Potluck nostalgia that i just can’t un-notice -Mikan looks too much like a hooker- i’m sorry, they really just went with the fan-service crap here and i don’t like it at all. Even if it wasn’t meant to be fan service, the dress looks tacky and has a shine on it that signifies it’s latex, so that’s just gotta be uncomfortable as hell- and for a clumsy character like her to try and survive a party in??? -IBUKI LOOKS LIKE FANCY RAVE COTTON CANDY!! THAT’S ALL!!! -Peko’s Kimono looks surprisingly nice on her, she wasn’t a character i’d assume to look good in a checker pattern but damn. i also appreciate how she still has the sword, bet- Fuyuhiko tired to convince her to leave it behind but failed

-Rantaro looks like a Used Car Salesmen. -KOKICHI MY BELOVED!!! i already voiced how much i adore his outfit when the group pic came out, so instead might i point out that he’s wearing high-water slacks and tall socks? it’s just as jarring as Fuyuhiko’s bi-slacks, but this is Kokichi so i feel like he did it on purpose. -Kiibo??? he dead ass changed his plating i-???? idk what i’m feeling towards it, but boy howdy am i feeling -GONTA!!! i love his suit, it’s out there in a good way, and i also love how he’s holding what looks like his casual coat. -Shuichi looks lovely in that suit, and i’ll never forgive everyone ever for saying he looked like a grandpa in it. It make him look a bit more Sherlock-esque and i love -3- -KORK IN A DRESS EVERYBODY MOVE!! i love how Androgynous his outfit is, both in gender and in time. like- is it feminine? masculine? modern? 1800′s england? who the fuck knows! -Ryoma looks good, but the fedora- who tf on the design staff decided to get cheeky?? eh- he’s vibing, doesn’t look too bad so long as you don’t hyperfixate on the pointy groin-stabber fedora -KAITO YOU SNAZZY GALAXY PATTERN SNORTING BASTARD! i swear he’s allergic to putting his right arm in it’s sleeve-. anywho, i love how even his dress jacket has a galaxy lining in it, i think it would have been funny if he was wearing galaxy dress shoes too but Maki would have chopped his dick off for that one -Kaede looks like her dress was inspired by one of those cinnamon peppermints- ya know the ones, they have the pink center and all that jazz? -Miu looks like she’s ready to hit up a casino in LA and honestly that’s such a good vibe! her skirt is a bit funky so it took me a hot sec to realize it was indeed a pencil skirt and not a fancy jumpsuit. -Tusmugi’s looks nice, i don’t have much else to say- kinda fitting considering her Plain Jane shtick -TENKO LOOKS LIKE SHE’S THIS CLOSE TO BREAKING OUT INTO A TAP DANCE AND I’M SO FUCKING HERE FOR IT!!! GO QUEEN!!!! -Kirumi is- well- i don’t go to Genshin Impact, but she looks like that one Genshin character, you know the one right? i think their name was a Starbucks drink size- they have a harp?? yeah -Maki’s dress is really pretty, it is a bit odd for her to wear that considering her character, but i can’t say she doesn’t rock it like the queen she is. -Himiko would be nicer without the transparent extra part- it make her looks like one of those half sphere popper things my friends terrorized me with in middle school. Other than that, you go you cute little magical girl you! -ANGIE OH MY FUCK!!! i love- i- dfj;adgad;jdgd!#2342nh;werkw??? i have no clue at this point what culture she’s suppose to be from, but that definitely looks like some traditional garb she’s got going on and holy crap is is pretty

Over all, i think the staff did a great job with this, i love a good lot of the outfits alot more than i though i would from the group pic. I do wish they would have added at least Komaru and Mukuro though- gimmy my queens yo!

He pulled on the scarf with a small frown, “Eclipse are you sure you’re fine with me wearing it?”

“I mean it was the girl’s idea for us to change outfits. I’m a little uncomfortable but it’s temporary.” She laughed as she tried to fix the cravat, “help.” she whined.

He laughed moving to adjust it, “It’s weird. Yeah.” he sighed, “Though… I wish you were in my other outfit, not this one….” he recalled how she looked in his red tunic with a blush.

“I mean I can go put that on instead. You haven’t seen it right?” She laughed as she spun in the tattered purple outfit, “I have it still!”

He turned yellow, “W-why did you keep it?!”

“I keep all the outfits I’m given!” she huffed, “I keep them neatly in that treehouse I used to sleep in.”

“And yet you barely wear them!” He laughed as he fixed his sleeves.

“I’m sorry I don’t like changing in the woods.” she puffed her cheek up, “I don’t see a point to it when I’m just going to get them dirty.”

He frowned, “I.. Snatcher could give you tasks that you don’t get dirty then.” he smirked, a little too maliciously. Making her laugh loudly.

“I LIKE my tasks!” she grinned, “I’d be bored otherwise.” she puffed her cheek up and played with her hair, “Should we see if we can curl it to match yours?” she giggled.

“I---.” he paused thinking about it, “No it’s fine as it is. Not like we can straighten my hair. Well I can change the length but.” he snickered, “Actually, no, I can straighten it I just don’t want to.” he huffed.

She stared, “you can shape-shift?” she blinked, “Really?”

He jolted and rubbed his neck, “Yeeesssss?” He chuckled and chewed his knuckle cursing himself internally, “Just. Minor. I can’t. Um do what ‘the boss’.” he winced. He hated calling himself that. “I’m not as… shiftable. As he is.” he lied.

“I see.” She huffed as she played with the cravat, “Did you know he threw a fit when I first wore your outfit?” she giggled, “it was before I finally got to meet you, the girls found it in the swamp.”

“IS THAT WHERE IT CAME FROM?!” He shouted a bit louder than he wanted, startling the wolf, “Ah sorry I… Didn’t mean to raise my voice.” He gave a sheepish smile as he rubbed his neck. “It’s just. I didn’t even know what Vanessa did with that outfit after she locked me up and changed my clothes.” he sighed.

Eclipse’s eyes grew wide, “Oh? So-So that’s actually??” she turned red and covered her face, “I-I’m so sorry!”

He threw his hands up, “N-no, no it’s fine! Don’t fret! None of you would know! It was something only I and...Snatcher knew.” if he used his name it felt less weird than Boss.

They stood there in silence for a moment as she moved to scratch at her neck with a small growl.

“Hey don’t do that.” he saw as she dug at her scarred skin.

She frowned and rested her hand near her neck, “Sorry I’m just--” she flinched as he swung the scarf around her and tucked it around, “H-Hey now you look incomplete!” she fretted.

“Better than you gouging your neck.” he sighed, “I wonder if you had some trauma… well no.. I know you had to…” he cold fingers touched her neck lightly causing her to shiver. “What on earth could cause these?”

“A collar?” she wondered and winced and pulled her scarf closer, “this helps it so much.” she sighed in relief.

“Then let’s hope you never lose it.” he chuckled and patted her head gently.

“Yeah!” she grinned up at him with a wide smile, fangs sticking out.

“Keep being cute I may kiss you again.” he teased.

“You can’t!” she huffed, “My kisses a-are for S-Snatcher! F-Floozy!”

He flinched, “I-I am not a floozy! Who taught you that word!” he gasped laughing, “I am after a single woman not many. I only want you!”

She frowned turning red, “you kissed a stranger on your first meeting. That’s suspicious.” she huffed, “Prince Arulius or not.”

He felt his face grow hot hearing her say his name out loud, “I-I had a lot of emotions. Forgive me. I said I was sorry…” he looked away ashamed, “i… I can’t apologize enough I just.. Think you are…” he chewed his lip, “Very pretty, kind, strong, open hearted and….” he sighed, “Someone that makes my afterlife brighter.”

She turned a bright red, “F-Flowery words won’t make me less mad about it! T-T-That was.” she covered her face, “As far as I’m concerned you stole my first kiss!”

She puffed her cheeks annoyed as he gave a nervous laugh. He reached and poked her cheek deflating it, “I’m Sorry. I am. Why don’t you ask snatcher for a kiss to make up for it?” he snickered.

“H-He won’t kiss me! He doesn't like me!” she buried her face in her scarf.

He stared with wide eyes, “Eh?” he blinked a few times, “Um. Sorry what?” he wasn’t sure if he misheard her, “What on earth makes you… I know he’s brash but.”

“He’s just using me cuz I’m warm and stuff! He says it himself.” she pouted, “I-I can't just ask him to kiss me.”

He sighed and reached, stroking her cheek gently, “Try it. Trust me.” he smiled softly, “If.. If you ask him I’m sure. Just once at least, He’ll kiss you.”

She was bright red and pushed him back, “I-I can’t.” she frowned and played with her hair.

“L-let’s just show the girls. I want to change. I have.. Chores to do.” she kept her view from him, but he could hear her voice crack as she ran out. He reached out and brought his hand back to his chest with a frown.

“I love you.” he mumbled. He sighed as he took the outfit off and folded it up, shifting his form and flying after her.

She stood a bit away, rubbing at her face. She didn’t seem to notice him as he came up behind her.

“Eclipse.”

She jumped, turning and looking ashamed as tears dripped down her face. He felt his chest pang with hurt as he moved closer, “What’s… What’s eating you? Why are you crying, did those damn nooses do something again?” he laughed loudly, “Look at your face you’re a mess!” he reached and stroked her cheeks wiping her tears away. He shifted and nuzzled against her as she gave a sad sigh, “seriously who’s hurting my minions?”

“It’s nothing.” she gave him a forced smile, “Just. It’s nothing to worry abo--!” she squeaked as he kissed her cheek causing her to turn red.

“Eclipse I own your soul, come on tell me.” he chuckled lowly despite knowing exactly why she was crying.

“I just…” she frowned, “It’s stupid you’ll laugh at me.”

“Yeah and?” he snickered as he moved to fix her dark hair. “You’re a mess. Were you running?”

“I was trying to show the girls sooner than later so I could get back to work.” she flushed, “I don’t want to wear this for long. I’ll get it dirty.”

“Then focus on library tasks. You look...Presentable. Like an actual minion.” he sneered.

She snickered, “yes but. I like my clothes! Plus I’m a little mad.” she puffed her cheek up, “Floozy prince trying to use sweet words. H-he should save those!” she growled, “I-I thought he was the lonely man b-but he just keeps.” she covered her face, “P-P-Plus he… My..” she covered her face.

His chest stung when she called him a floozy and he sighed, “Eclipse maybe he… is.. Lonely. I keep him pretty separated from the rest. He may just be… bad at interacting. You’re the first non minion he’s really dealt with on a personal level in 300 years.”

“B-But he shouldn’t K-Kiss me! I-I Don’t l-like him like that!” she fretted and turned red, “I-I have someone else I see a-as my most important…” She covered her face screaming into her hands, “I finally find the lonely man and now I really don’t know what to do.” she sighed and leaned against the ghost who scooped her up causing her to jump.

“D-Don’t just grab me!” she huffed as he nuzzled her, his fur tickling her. She began to laugh, pushing his face, “Snatcher!” she snickered as he continued and stuck his tongue out at her.

“You stopped crying.”

“Ah..” she rubbed her eyes and sighed, giving him a smile, “Well. you’re here.” she admitted watching him turn yellow.

He smirked. “I’m going to do something~!” he teased, getting closer to her face.

“W-what?” she felt her cheeks growing hotter as the ghost pressed his face to hers. She gasped when he pulled away from the kiss.

He wore a smug expression. “It’s been bothering me, the Prince was able to do that but I couldn’t. I’ve known you longer and you’re MY personal assistant.”

She couldn’t get any words out just stammering as she was bright red and eyes spinning a bit. She hid her face in his fur but she had a grin pulling on her cheeks as she did. He smiled softly and nuzzled her gently.

“My Eclipse….”

So I guess I can't send pictures on anon :( I was gonna send you pictures of my plants... maybe instead I'll post about them and send it to you idk 😐 but the plant I got is called a Money tree! Though right now it's really small!

Congrats on your exam today!! I know you'll nail it tomorrow too!!! 🥰🥰 I told my sister "hey!! Mädch got a 92% on her exam today!" and she said "oh yay!!" So we're rooting for you over here 🤩

I AM a musician! I checked out that channel and surfed through the videos to find one I thought would be interesting and I ended up watching them react to oneus to be or not to be. I had the weirdest flashbacks to when I was in college seeing them in those classrooms!!! My college classrooms looked the exact same, honestly. The chairs with the swing around desks, the chalkboards with staff lines taped on, and the grand piano in the background... like.. those are my people!!! Everything they said made perfect sense to me and honestly.. there were times when I said the exact same things they did at the same times LDJFHF but anyway I will probably watch more of their videos, I really enjoyed the lil talking session they did after watching the video!!

I kinda have a lot of thoughts about mx and their US vs Korean vs Japanese releases, but I haven't done enough listening and I don't know how the members feel about their different styles within their discography, besides the very little I've heard them say in interviews and similar content, so I don't necessarily feel comfortable saying much (aaand I don't know how much you care to listen to me talk about it lfsjskdh), but their English songs really seem like just another facet of the ever multifaceted mx, y'know? Like, they're just.. rounded musicians that are able to have a multitude of styles and sounds while still being them. Anyway that's simultaneously more and less than I wanted to say, so I'll stop there haha, sorry for going off on that a little bit 😅😅

and THANK YOU about my exam ;_____; i was so scared on it but i can't believe i got the grade i did ,,,,,,, i feel like i guessed on a lot of question LOL :') and i did okay on my exam today!!! i initially got an 80% on it which is eh but my prof did some iteam analysts and ended up getting a 82% which i can't really complain about !!! i'll take it hhhh AND PLS U TOLD UR SISTER TOO :(((( you both are so incredibly kind, thank you so much <3

and ahhhh YOU KNEW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT :ooo i feel that's like, really high lever music terms (from someone who has never studied music intensely) like ,,,,, syncopation??? modal mixture ?? all that stuff i'm just like e,,,,,,,,,, musicians must study so much to even pick that up from non classical music u know?? they blow me away eveyr time, you guys are absolute geniuses when it comes to that stuff hhhh crazy !!!!!! i'm glad that video was able to bring back some nostalgia for you !!!! i enjoy so many of their videos <3 i suggest watching the ones for shinee (atlantis and don't call me, i think you'd like those videos) bc they have really cool things to say about shinee (i mean it's SHINEE so <3) ,,,, thank u for checking them out :)

and yeah like we'll never know how the members feel about it !!! like they might love the change of pace or they might hate it ya know? we don't really know that and like , me personally i actually don't like a ton of their japanese releases either but i do think that mx definitely covers a wide variety of sounds, and even tho they don't really push the boundaries musically when they make english things, i do think its MONUMENTAL and AMAZING that they are even making english albums in the first place !!!!!!! it really shows how dedicated they are to just making music, i think it sets them apart from other groups objectively. like look at how much music they have been releasing ever since debut, they barely get a break and i think that shows they just LOVE making cool music and i'm always always proud of them whether their music is right up my alley or not <3 mx are an amazing group and i'm so happy we get to experience their talent together with monbebe !!!!! :D

ANYWAYS DON'T BE SORRY LMAO i just sent a long paragraph about how much i love and respect mx HHH we are on the same wavelength <3 but i hope you've had a nice day angel !!!!!! <3 love u !!!!!!

Stimulate Yourself First!

Now that I have your attention, let’s bring something a little different to this space. Finances. We’re gonna get financially naked here so if finances intimate you, here’s your warning. That said, this is not meant to flex by any means. We all know people who make more or less than us and this barrier needs to come down. Should that be why we don’t talk about this stuff enough? I don’t think so. Let’s generate some value here, shall we?

Before I start this, understand that timing was on my side with this one. I happened to line up a new job, a delayed stimulus check being sent out to me, and my last collection of money for unemployment around the same time. Due to this, there was a lot coming in at once. That is part of what we struggle with however. We’ve got all this money...LET’S SPEND IT! You could. I can’t make your life choices for you...but hear me out and take a look here. No doubt what they want you to do is that whatever isn’t being spent on bills, gets thrown back towards Amazon, or Walmart, or whoever else wants your money. No doubt by now, you’ve figured out where my $1400 stimulus check went. NOT to them. Straight to savings. That’s debatably a bad place too but better than back into the system.that isn’t helping the common man or woman. See 2020.

$1400 just put away without a second thought. I was excited given my current job pays $18/hr to have just over the same amount coming in at the same time...but I didn’t take into account the taxman and paying into social security/medicaid, which is about 15% of that so...whoops. Can’t plan for it all, eh? So less than $1400 to work with. No big deal. From here, we’re paying bills for the month. None of this is for rent. We’re talking lights, internet, etc. We have a little over $1200 to do this with. Roughly $500 is going into past expenses put on credit cards and bills already previously paid with said cards. Credit Cards aren’t as scary as some want you to think but that’s perhaps for another time. This is where we start diving into wants. We’re going big though. My couch due to pets and negligence to an absurd degree has put it in not the best of shape. The couch which will now also be a recliner is $600. Then, gotta get a delivery person. With said $600, I should be getting help with $200 of that from one of two people that were ultimately responsible for the couch in its current state. This means only $400 + delivery which will be around $125 or so. I think we will stop here for the sake of this post.

In this example, let’s do some basic math. Really. Basic. Because I’m terrible at it.

$1400 Stimulus + $500 Bills = $1900 of money we don’t even touch. We paid ourselves first and were responsible in paying bills. Next paycheck, another $1000 will go towards rent. Yay responsibility!

$525 on wants = This is what was decided on for splurging. Long overdue and a good chance to afford it instead of putting it on credit.

Amounts not spoken for, they stay in checking for whatever comes up. Gotta have funds on hand. To this, we are adding roughly another $500 from our last payment through unemployment before going back to work and making a part of this aforementioned money. There’s still a lot to plan for and a bunch of it will not doubt be spent. On what however and for what purpose? We all have to make choices like this.Those choices can become real difficult depending on budget. Some random guy on Tumblr maybe isn’t your first consideration for financial advice and by all means, I am not claiming I am one. I am not. However, since we are not taught what we need to know in school to get ahead financially and/or build wealth, we’ve gotta make our own rules. A combination of consumed content from people that know more than I do about this stuff online and personal values keeps me in check. I’m also in a unique position of knowing what it has been like to live safely between lower and middle class much of my life, so I can empathize with making less, while taking my chances with greater wealth to help plan for the future.

If you get value from this, amazing. I’m just a regular human trying to get by like the rest of you. My biggest advantages vs people in my age group is the lack of debt ever carried for very long, specifically no student debt, and actually having a savings. Average millennial? Not trying to live that life. Life is stressful enough. While much should be done “with a purpose” as my father used to say, that applies to so much here in the finance space as much as it would for something like what clothes we chose to wear.

I’d encourage you, for as intimidating as it is, to at least think about making a plan to get ahead. When you simply come face to face with your own spending habits, only then, and over time, probably through many years of learning, can you go towards a less stressful life and one lived based on your values. Not how cool you look in a Instagram pic having a daily five to six dollar coffee at Starbucks.

I haven't posted any thing for aaaaaages, but that's because I've finally moved into my new house \o/

We have one more trip to do (y do we have so much stuff) and my partner can never tell me off for holding onto things again

Things I didn't know we had and are not sure y we are keeping:

Speakers-we have 7 full on surround sound sets, like y, who needs that much audio? And okay we are using 4.5 of them but still

Axes- neither my partner nor me have chopped wood in our lives, y do we have 3 axes

Same goes for the fence post hole digger thing

2 sets of golf clubs-... We have never and will never play golf? Oh wait yes I remember, my parents left them with us like 5 years ago so they wouldn't have to bring theirs on the plane because they moved interstate, they have come down to play golf like twice in that time... And they bought their clubs on the plane

10 boxes of books-I did know about these and I know what I should do with them, but it's a lot of effort so I've been putting it off for 4 years instead

Anyway what I've learned from this move is there is decor and then there is the kimmi method of decorating which is shove as many shelving units in the room as you can and hope for the best

One of the reasons I wanted to own my own house one day was so I could paint the walls nice bright colours, but the easiest time to do that is before you move in... But I haven't lived in it yet so I don't know what colours I want...

ok so I do know y we have so much random stuff, its because other people move they go hey u have a garage do you want/can you take this? and we, like fools, go sure np

on the bright side I don't care if things match so about 80% our furniture and appliances were given to us by other people

down side I have a giant garage that I can’t currently do anything in because its full of stuff

but I am optimistic! It will be sorted! Eventually!

In the MFB fandom for: been a fan since the anime came out, but only joined fandom in 2015 (the French fandom, originally). So yeah, don’t be surprised if you see me having a ton of Reiji-related (or Beyblade-related tho I probably won’t post it) content even though you’ve never seen me before, I was there! Just on the French side of the Internet...

My OC: Basically me. Except his parents are billionaires (which is cool) and amongst the most awful people on Earth (which is less cool).

Also for practical reasons, his age (18, most of the time) only changes when it’s convenient, it doesn’t necessarily change when I age. So we’re roughly the same age but not exactly the same.

—> Also I have a group of friends who love MFB too, but each of us has a different favorite character (namely Reiji, Hyoma, Ryuga, Kyoya and King) which means to me those 5 are a team even though they have nothing in common. So don’t be surprised if I ever show them together. You’re not having a stroke.

—> I refer to my friends as my family.

So do I have any biological sisters? No. Do I have a bunch of sisters anyway? Hell yeah.

—> I have a tons of AUs (and so do my friends). So if you see my OC being a detective, a prince, a wizard or anything... That’s normal.

—> Yami Marik from Yu-gi-oh is my OC’s adoptive son. Also Yami Marik is called Marilin. Also he lived in a trash before my OC adopted him (actually he still lives in a trash but now it’s a kitchen trash can instead of an outdoor garbage bin). And his personality is... Completely different... He cries all the time and makes no sense at all (for comedic purposes). Basically it’s a totally different character who just so happens to look like Yami Marik. His hair is also the weirdest thing ever and would deserve an explanation of its own. Basically, he could pull a live elephant, the Titanic, and half of Planet Mars out of his hair and no one would bat an eye. That’s just how he is.

—> Ryuga’s “possessed by the dark power” form is called his Gremlin form. And Ryuga is a Gremlin. Other famous Gremlins include William Glass from Inazuma Eleven and Marilin. (Marilin actually means Marik+Gremlin.) Gremlins are an interesting species, with a taste for insanity and whose litters are always consisted of 35 baby Gremlins.

ok so basically this was the plot to one of the stories i was writing called ‘Shoot Your Shot’ however i lost inspiration and wrote ‘Meant to Be’ instead, i’ve never posted this and it’s been sitting on my phone for months so basically i thought i’d just post the first chapter here instead, lol enoy xx

“You must be Y/N?!” your greeted by a cheery voice as the women holds out her hand for you to shake, something way too formal for your liking as you reach out to shake it, smiling at her as you nod your head. “Yep! That’s me!” you smile as she returns her own smile, her overly white teeth make an appearance. Looking down to read the lanyard around her neck, the material a deep red, ‘Victoria Hunter’ a rather intimating name. “I’m Victoria, you can call me Vicky sweety, I’m head of digital marketing and design here at Liverpool Football Club” she introduces herself. Woah posh, big words, didn’t realise we were at a job interview, you brain talks to itself, a habit that’s become way too common now that you’ve started living alone, only moving to Liverpool recently for the new job. “So, I’ll give you a little tour and let you meet a few of the players, then we’ll just take it easy, do a few photos.” she’s smiling as you nod, as she throws her poorly dyed blonde hair into a messy bun, guiding you around the training grounds, showing you the changing rooms as you admired everyone’s kits hung up and folded neatly, the endless amounts of football boots everywhere you looked. “And of course, the man himself Jurgen Klopp”, she’s smiling as Jurgen makes a beeline for you, pulling you into a big hug as he welcomes you, a short conversation as he tries to get to know you a bit more, excusing himself as he rushes back off to his office to prepare for when the boys arrive.

Your stood in the hallway with Victoria, camera around your neck as you wait for some of the boys to arrive, fiddling with the buttons slightly as you shift from one leg to another. Something inside you making you nervous, the little voice inside your head running away with itself as you list every bad thing that could possibly happen, tripping over when you go to shake one of their hands, smashing your camera to pieces as you try to get a good angle, pronouncing one of their names wrong... no, stop! Ok, deep breathes.

“This tall giant is Virgil... Virgil Van Dijk” Victoria not-so-subtly whispers to you as you giggle slightly, craning your neck at the height of the man walking in your direction, holding the camera to your face and clicking away, making sure to get some good shots for the Liverpool instagram. “Ooo, and Mo, make sure you get some good shots” she’s nudging you as Mo Salah comes walking through the doors, clearly someone’s got a favourite, Vicky’s smile is wide as Mo gives her a small wave, walking over and holding his hand out to you “nice to meet you” he’s introducing himself as you shake his hand, “I’m Y/N, nice to meet you” your smiling as he nods, taking a mental note of your name. “Ok ok ok, more pictures, get ya camera ready” Christ, anyone would think the queen was arriving. Nope, someone much better, wow, your breath was almost taken away as two young boys walk into the reception, one with a cheesy grin, the other dragging a suitcase along with him, fresh haircut making him look incredible, deep brown eyes and a dimpled smile as he laughs along with his friend, little pokey our ears lifting with his smile. “Make sure you get pics of Ox, the fans love seeing him back in training” your yet again instructed by Victoria, “And Trent, everybody loves Trent”. Who can blame them. You snap a few pictures as you notice Alex walking over to you, “hi darling” he’s smiling as you smile back, eyes noticing the newly dyed hair, slight blonde bits put into the ends, “you the newbie?” he’s asking as you nod with a chuckle, “Trent!! Come introduce yourself” he’s shouting over to his friend as he jogs a little to reach where the two of you are stood, then coming to a stop awkwardly as his eyes study your frame, taking note of the camera around your neck. “Hi” he’s smiling, eyes meeting yours for what seems like a long time as he pulls you into a short hug, “I’m Trent” his little smile makes you want to curl up in a ball and cry, how can someone be that cute, and your about to introduce yourself, but then your voice is cut off. “Ok, jog along boys, she’s busy” Victoria’s shooing then away as Trent smiles at you “well it was nice to meet you” he’s saying as Victoria practically pushes him away, eyes still locked with yours as he shuffles backwards, then turning and walking away as you watch him. “Helloooo, stop day dreaming” a hand’s waved in front of your face as snap back to reality, continuing with the pictures as the other players arrive.

“What you blushing for?” Alex nudges Trent’s side as he bats him away with his hand, looking to the ground and shaking his head, “nah nothing, not even blushing” Trent’s denying his words as Alex giggles, already knowing the answer to his own question. “New camera girl caught your eye eh?” he’s smirking as Trent pushes him, walking into the changing rooms together to get ready for training, the teasing continuous as Alex lets the whole team know about Trent’s encounter with the new girl, despite it being nothing more then a ‘hello’. The boys bombarding Trent with questions as soon as they watch his face grown evidently redder, “nah, leave us be man! i said hello to her god!” he’s whining as they all wolf whistle. “Even hugged her!” Alex is cheering as the boys jump up and down like children, getting overly excited at something that didn’t even have much significance. “She seems nice alright? Why you acting as if i’m in love with her!?” Trent’s ducking his head as Gomez swings his arm onto his shoulder.

They all make their way out to the pitch, clicking of boots against the concrete as footballs and cones litter the grass, Trent finding himself looking around for the same face he’d been introduced to only 20 minutes ago, and there you were, his chest tightening slightly as he watches you stood in the sun light, same camera around your neck as you laugh along with one of the personal trainers, smile bright as you white teeth become seen under those perfect lips, long hair flowing over your shoulder as a slight breeze tickles it. “Stop staring” Virgil whispers as Trent jumps at the voice, too caught up in admiring your features. “Weren’t staring” he’s making an attempt to defend himself but fails miserably as Virgil pats him on the back with a chuckle. Training continuing as normal as Trent puts maximum effort in, flitting his eyes back to you every so often to make sure your watching him. “Say cheese” he hears as he looks to his left, and there your stood, camera up to your face as you squint your eye slightly, clicking away as you focus on him, and he’s giving you the cheesiest grin ever, no part of it fake, something so natural about it. Your pulling the camera away from your face as you admire the new snap, making sure to post that to instagram as soon as trainings finished, “cute” you smile, “thanks” he winks as you smile, walking away and taking some group shots as those big brown eyes follow your every move, heart hiccuping every time they meet with your own, “looks like you’ve got an admirer” you put the camera down as you hear a voice ring through your ear, turning to meet Alex’ eyes, same cheeky grin on his face as you shake your head with an embarrassed smile, “don’t know what your on about” you smirk as he chuckles, “not noticed the creep staring at you the whole time” he jokes as he nods his head in Trent’s direction, as you follow to where he motions, and there he sits, knees raised, hands either side of his shoulders as he stares directly at you, a smile growing on your face as he winks at you, “go sit with him, he’d love some company, especially yours” Alex nudges you as you roll your eyes, secretly wanting nothing more then to go take a seat next to him, so that’s probably why your legs are leading you in that direction.

new month update/ramble

i’m sorry to say this, but some weirdos are going around saying it’s july?? obviously that’s impossible, we haven’t even had may yet. sadly another example of how fake news can spread quickly on social media. :c

no but the year is half over, cool cool cool. I remember last year being *delighted* that 2019 was coming to an end, but as bad as this year has been so far, I don’t think I’ll feel like that this time around … because I was actually optimistic for 2020 (fool! idiot!!). but maybe the second half of the year will surprise me! (in a good way, i mean, as opposed to the terrifying near-daily ‘surprises’ 2020 has been delivering so far.)

though, speaking of good surprises, phil’s video!! what a sweetheart he is. i admit when i got the notif i was a bit *internal terror* but i guess that’s just how i’ve been conditioned these days. i bought the print - i love the border! i put a holographic border around the pic of phil from vidcon last year, so it’ll be a nice match. i’m going to put it over the tv, i think - maybe if i look at it enough, one day i might start to believe it. i certainly don’t right now.

i need a second hand now to count the number of times they’ve insisted in the last year that the future is bright and hopeful and - quite aside from the virus, though that obviously hasn’t helped - that hasn’t been the case for me. it must be for them, though, so, that’s good, at least, i guess. (i would like to see it.)

I definitely wanted to hug Phil afterwards, and was glad I at least had the memory of doing so to fall back on. (…though. I always kind of don’t like talking about it a little bit? Because I feel bad for those who would love to meet him but haven’t had the chance, or had it and it got ripped away *again*, thanks miss rona. Feels like rubbing it in. I know it hurts *me* to see people’s old M&G pics and vids everywhere on twitter, but I am an Oversensitive and Jealous Fool as we know. It does feel like I missed/lost the only chances I might have had to meet Dan, too, especially now he seems to have retired from internet/youtuber life. So seeing the pics of people hugging him, it hurts man. So I’ve been a bit reticent to post my own with phil; it was my profile pic for a while on twitter but I took it off. I dunno. Probably just me being an idiot. I printed it and put it above my desk instead)

Back in 2019 I ordered a gay corgi pin and stickers for Phil - to give to him at Vidcon - but by the time they were due to ship out they got delayed due to the rona, and didn’t end up arriving until 2 weeks after the event. I hope I can give them to him one day; I feel like he’ll still do appearances once this is all over, so here’s hoping.

At the beginning of June I started using an app called moodpath as a mood tracker; sort of out of vague interest really, but it’s actually been really useful. It generates a result for you every 2 weeks, and it generated likely ‘severe depressive episode’ for the first 2 weeks of june and ‘moderate depressive episode’ for the second 2. (Progress? yay?) It’s interesting though; it generates stats and even generates a letter for you to give to a doctor or therapist as a jumping off point if you might find that helpful. Eh, it’s just an app, not a professional, but I thought it was interesting. (Also, yeah, the first half of June fully sucked)

youtube was a bit of a rollercoaster yesterday lmao. started off with finishing up the last of us 2 (no spoilers, I loved it; I kept waiting for the moment that seemingly had gamers in a frothing rage and it never came, so i assume it was simply the presence of gay and trans people), then i started watching tati’s vid, then phil’s went up, then back to tati’s. Re dramageddon 2 … I - don’t really have any investment in any of these people - the only vids of any of theirs I’ve ever watched was shane’s series on tanacon when I wanted to know what that was all about. It’s kind of like watching a soap opera, except that obviously real people have been affected… who knows how it’ll go down this time, they all walked away with their careers intact last time and i suspect, for J* at least, any publicity is still publicity, so. *shrug*

animal crossing is still great, always fun when it’s a new month. i’ll miss my pride month decorations. maybe i’ll put a permanent rainbow flower patch somewhere. i hope we get an update on pickle island some time, even as i have a sneaking suspicion it might be an abandoned wasteland. who knows, maybe it’s a thriving metropolis and that’s why phil was so quiet in june.

anyway. whenever i find myself particularly struggling i often come back to playing mass effect, and i started doing that again yesterday, so yeah. decided to give myself a break over feeling guilty about not writing or whatever - the ideas will come when they come, or they won’t, and I can’t force the issue. so i might as well enjoy doing something else.

i am starting a new thing. i mean, hopefully it’s new. idk if anyone else has dont this. probably. eh whatever! so, my idea. it’s where someone sends in a picture of their pet, and in return i give them a picture of my pet. for wholesomeness. i call it-- a pet trade. y-y’know..instead of an art trade? yeah, i dunno about the name either. but if you send me a pic of your pet then i’ll post a pic of my ferrets. i get that it’s kinda selfish, but i just wanna see people’s cute pets ok? we all need a little wholesomeness in our lives. so if you wanna submit a picture of your pet, you can. and if you don’t, i’m not forcing you into anything. i just want some cute pet pictures :3

Good to know the Alliance wouldn’t do any illegal AI development. I’ll take care of this pesky VI who is definitely not gaining sentience nor whom will I ever interact with again, no problem!

Time to head to the Sol System!

The only thing on G’loot Praktaw Mars is a few small prothean ruins archeology teams? Boring! Why would anyone ever go there?

The near-complete lack of cover as soon as you run into that room combined with them very easily getting to flank you and shoot rockets at you close up is nothing but a deathtrap.

Technically, I shouldn’t have this quest yet, since it’s the high-paragon exclusive mission, but well, I’m here now, so why not.

Trying hard NOT to kill civilians is always a bit iffy.

I... only had to reload once, and I’m pretty sure that the one civvy that was killed wasn’t my fault the first time, though.

Also, this place has some pretty great loot once you’re done.

Sadly, this mission is bugged, and imports will always think that this mission ended in a bloodbath.

From the wiki: Due to a bug, when creating the correct flags for the Mass Effect save, the file is flagged as stating that the Sirta Foundation never recovered from the attack and will likely be shutting down regardless of decisions.This bug is not fixable by editing the save file.

As far as I can tell, ME1Re doesn’t fix this. Luckily, it doesn’t have much of a bearing on the future.

Okay, a shorter update, but now I need to play some more to have more to post. Next time... maybe we’ll get to Feros?

Eh, it’s been fine. I had to deal with one of my more frustrating PM’s at work, but then I had ice cream for dinner, so it evened out pretty well :)

Planning for rpg’s, mostly! I have my Pillars one, the one I’m GM’ing, and the new one that starts tomorrow! Also reading, video games, and re-binging some of my favorite tv shows.

If you are in some sort of quarantine / self - isolation, is there anything you’d like to achieve in this time?

I’m working remotely so I’m still the same amount of busy for the most part. I am hoping to do more gardening and yardwork in general. I still really need to weed my flowerbeds, but at least I cleared out all the yellowjackets trying to take over my backyard!

‘Til the End of the Line (or Not) OR: See? We TOLD You “No Homo.” Love, Markus and McFeely

*****WARNING: 99.9% SALT!! Contains spoilers for Avengers Endgame!!****

I guess this is part two of my personal processing of Endgame. @pitchforkcentral86 was not satisfied by my timey-wimey Endgame post, which centered on Steve’s choice to go back in time to be with Peggy and the implications of that choice. She remarked that yeah, it’s great that Steve might not be a total piece of crap, Pym particles, yada yada, whatever, but it still didn’t make her feel any less despair over this ending.

The source of her agony: Steve and Bucky’s relationship and its utter lack of satisfying resolution. So I shall address that now, because I think I feel worse about that than anything, and I can’t explain it away with Pym particles.

Anyone who has any investment at all in the relationship between Bucky and Steve — whether you are a Stucky person or whether you view them as platonic but deeply connected best friends — has probably had to spend the last two movies scraping around the floor, searching for crumbs, signs, any hints that these two people care about each other. We have been begging the Russos, the screenwriters Markus and McFeely, anyone who would listen, for anything to suggest that they are even on the barest of speaking terms, let alone that they have the intensity of relationship that the MCU spent 3+ movies explicitly convincing us that they have. I’ll even come out and say that although I ship Stucky in fandom and fic hardcore, I am not an MCU canon Stucky person per se. I’m 100% fine if the MCU wants to treat this as a deep, fraternal friendship. In fact, I see some benefits to this interpretation. How wonderful if men could love each other so deeply and have it NOT be sexual or romantic. But I’m also 100% fine with people interpreting this as romantic love, and there were times throughout this franchise where the actors, various parties in production, and Marvel itself has been agnostic on the subject, if not encouraging of gay interpretations of their relationship. Let it be what you want, fans have been told. Or just flat out post a pic of Steve and Bucky on #National Boyfriend Day like Civil War comic writer Mark Millar. Sure. At times, it almost felt safe to ship them. As soon as Civil War drew to a close, however, it started becoming... inconvenient for Bucky and Steve to be together. Steve needs to go to the Raft. Bucky needs to go into cryo. Steve needs to become Nomad and go secret avenging. Bucky needs to do his Vibranium Brain Magic (TM)/goat herding complex PTSD recovery program. Side note: Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) is my provisional diagnosis based on virtually nothing, because Bucky’s character has gotten so little substantive screen time that we can only guess at his psychological state, save what can be conveyed through glistening eyes and woobieface and “... but I did it.” Wow. Bowl me over, you really got me right in the McFeelys. Though +1000 to SebStan for working what he got to work with to the max. That motherfucker can act. We know for certain approximately jack shit about Bucky’s internal experience post-Winter Soldier. And so, like pretty much everything with Bucky and this friendship/ship arc, I will just guess at what is actually wrong with him. But after 70 years as a POW being tortured and possibly gaslit and definitely brainwashed, that is almost the textbook recipe for complex PTSD, so imma go with that. Returning to this distance. Now, it first appears to be largely logistical in nature. Steve is over here, Bucky is over there. Golly, just too busy to hang these days. All this secret avenging without you. And when we pine — pine — for the meaningful reunion of these two in IW, instead we got a “Hey brah, how's it hanging?” “You know, old and traumatized lol” exchange and a “let’s make sure our dicks don’t touch” back-slappy hug that lasted two seconds. This is without any hint as to whether these two have seen each other yet after Bucky’s de-thawing, leaving us to wonder whether this is really the big reunion we have been waiting for.

(If we had audio, the sound would be 70% slapping.)

I’m going to pause here, because for many of us, this was devastating. After all, we were left with this shot of Steve as Bucky made the choice to go into cryo, a choice that seemed only somewhat justifiable on the vague grounds of “I can’t trust my own mind.” (Me either, pal.)

Ugh.

Perhaps this was also an avoidance strategy — easier to go back on ice than deal with the emotional fallout of what just happened. And who could blame him? He is probably still relearning how to cope effectively with things after his entire coping system was destroyed by his time with Hydra. But Steve was clearly disappointed or, at the very least, saddened by this. He gets something back just to lose it again. Enter distance. He leaves and goes avenging. Emotionally, perhaps this move to cryo created distance as well. Their relationship was on such fragile ground at this point, mostly an artifact from the ‘40s, and their chance to deepen it was taken away by the writers because Bucky wanted to go on ice for reasons and Steve needed to do Steve things. And so when IW rolled around, oh, did we want them to have a substantive reunion. But alas, we did not get that. We saw equally substantive exchanges between Bucky and Sam or Rocket and far more substantive exchanges between Steve and pretty much anyone else. And then we got the ultimate separation — (fake) death. Again. A traumatic, unplanned loss that costs another five years from their timeline, all before they even got the chance to properly re-establish a friendship. Again, I’m going off of what we actually see portrayed, not off of what we assume or would like to see. We have absolutely no idea how much Steve and Bucky interacted in Wakanda. But Steve busted Sam out of the Raft quite early, early enough that he still had a messed up face from the time Tony went in (unless he was getting beatings on the reg, which is possible). So if he was hanging with Sam since before Bucky went on ice, and Sam just visited Wakanda for the first time in IW, either Steve was borrowing the Quinjet to secretly visit Wakanda on his own to hang with Bucky, or he hadn’t been back to Wakanda since he left the first time.

Regarding Steve visiting Wakanda between CW and IW — I found this bullshit from Markus and McFeely on the subject of whether Steve and Bucky met or talked prior to IW. The writers could not even agree about their own characters, with one saying that Steve and his crew probably visited Wakanda and hung out with Bucky and the other saying, eh, the two of them “maybe Skyped.” As to the former, this is not at all supported by the narrative or by logic. Infinity War is clearly Sam’s first time in Wakanda, with all that drama about “zomg you’re gonna hit those trees, bro!” as they are flying into the city. And why would Steve leave his team alone and vulnerable, probably taking the Quinjet, their only form of reliable and safe transportation, so he could go visit Bucky alone? He’s not there for a booty call, y’all, because these guys have barely even rekindled their friendship. Moreover, the other secret avengers know how important Bucky is to Steve. This isn’t a secret. There would be no reason to go alone and no reason for T’Challa to forbid Nat, Sam, and Wanda from coming to Wakanda. So it makes no sense that Steve has visited Wakanda prior to IW, and thus, that would make IW their first meeting, which is… utter and heartbreaking garbage. But at least they had motherfucking SKYPE. MAYBE. Fuck. You. Very. Much.

So, in the face of this shit reunion and Bucky’s subsequent dusting, some of us kindled hope for the upcoming Endgame. Perhaps we would get flashbacks. We knew there would be flashbacks or time travel because we saw stuff in the trailers and sneak peeks from the set. So maybe there would be something there to account for the utter lack of attention to their relationship in Infinity War. Again, this was the mere request that Markus and McFeely and the directors acknowledge wholeheartedly what they have been building for these characters since the beginning of their time in the MCU. This was not even strictly about Stucky. This was about doing justice for these characters as humans. But there were no flashbacks. Who knows what happened in Wakanda. We will have to fill in the blanks on our own. Not a single comment could be spared to even signal whether the IW Wakanda scene was their first time seeing each other since cryo. “How’s that new arm treating you?” or “God, it’s been so long”/deep emotion would be all it would have taken to not keep us wondering one way or the other. This suggests a lack of consideration to the fans of these characters and this relationship — which, again, Markus and McFeely slaved to get us to pour our hearts into. So… Endgame. What was that? Bucky and Steve didn’t stand next to each other at Tony’s funeral. Okay. Bucky is not an A-list Avenger. He did kill Tony’s parents. Awkward. Bucky was comforted by Sam, his… guy he sat behind in the Volkswagen in Civil War and fought next to in IW, and he needed comfort apparently (?) because he… killed Martha and Howard Stark (??), which was sweet, and much more spontaneous affection than we’ve seen from Steve in an age, but what the actual fuck??? Was that Mickey Mouse standing behind the Iron Man 3 kid wearing a “Falcon and Winter Soldier” miniseries t-shirt?

And that ending. This was maybe the one implied nugget of friendship between them visible with an electron microscope. They obviously had at least one deep conversation about Steve deviating from the plan to go have a life, and they obviously had a discussion about who would succeed him as Cap. My dreams of Bucky Cap were dashed into dust, but as @pitchforkcentral86 said, it would have been cruel to give it to Bucky. Bucky would possibly have taken it if Steve kicked the bucket in EG, but it makes the most sense to be passed along in a planned way to Sam. So maybe they had at least one good conversation. Way, way off camera. Bucky said he would miss him. Recycled TFA line. Thank God it was not involving the words “jerk” and “punk.” Glistening woobie eyes. Steve leaving to go be with the one person who can make him feel like a whole human being, apparently, because there is nothing and nobody tethering him to this time in history anymore.

Whoa— wait— WHAT??? These are the moments where I literally double check the credits for the Cap movies to make sure that it says “Markus and McFeely.” Then I check the latest Avengers movies to make sure they also say “Markus and McFeely.” And they ALL DO!! The same two men painstakingly crafted the story of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, two men who — let’s be literal in the narrative here, for the sake of making a conservative argument — are best friends from childhood. They hammered on this story HARD, making sure that their relationship was so strong that by the time 2016 rolled around, the depth and intensity of their friendship and Steve’s commitment to it would tear the Avengers apart. And along the way, something else happened.

When you put two people in relationship like this, you have to know that there will be consequences. People will grow very emotionally invested in their relationship, because that is exactly what the writers were asking the audience to do. These dudes did their job, all right! And then something else happened, quite easily, even though these things will also happen under much harsher conditions: Stucky. Winter Soldier alone probably launched a hundred thousand ships for these two — gay, gay ships, so very gay, the glitteriest, gayest of cruise liners — from a hundred thousand ports around the globe. This ship has permeated pop culture even outside the fandom (some dumb gross man jokes from Screen Junkies within, but the Stucky shenanigans start at around 3:15).

And perhaps that’s when Markus and McFeely realized what a monster they created, one that would clash in ugly ways with their forthcoming (heterosexual) narrative, — their endgame for Steve. And so what did they do? Overcorrect. Wildly. Pull the plug. Bucky and Steve can’t fall out as friends completely, but what’s the next best thing? Give them almost zero screen time together, lest anyone be tempted to think they have a serious relationship — and again, I’m just talking friendship at this point, let alone anything else. Make their lines devoid of substance. Keep us wondering about the nature of their dynamic. Did the distance grow too great? Is Bucky not able to reconnect with anyone? Is Steve too busy? Too salty?? Who knows! These are possibilities, but none are explained. Then just poof Bucky off the face of the earth for 5 years to create existential distance. And in the meantime, ensure that Bucky is shown as not even a passing thought for Steve Rogers. Ensure that his name is never once uttered by Steve until he is about to leave him to go be with Peggy — oh except when, in a real dick move, when he emotionally whumps his past self with the news that Bucky is alive for the sole purpose of getting out of a stranglehold. At the same time, ensure that Steve is seen becoming single-mindedly fixated on Peggy Carter, and make sure the audience — including all those pesky Stucky shippers — knows that he considers her the “love of his life.” Ensure we see the compass with increasing frequency and with maximum longing. Insert Steve finding the absurd photograph of himself on the Director of SHIELD’s desk, facing the door for any junior colleague to see her pining over him like a schoolgirl long after he died, which is just about the least Peggy Carter thing I can ever imagine (and these people created and wrote for the Agent Carter TV series!!!).

Then give us our first openly gay person in the MCU. And drop him in the same scene that you confirm once and for all that Peggy Carter is the love of Steve Rogers’ life. Have Steve be so fucking cool with it that he makes us proud and relieved that he’s not a homophobe. Whew! Only… it makes us feel kind of gross, and maybe we can’t quite figure out why at first. But maybe it’s because it feels personal, like a concession, like the writers and director knew exactly what they were doing to a lot of people who feel a very specific way about Steve’s sexuality and about his relationship with Bucky Barnes. It feels like a tone deaf nod to the fandom. Sorry, guys. No homo. We really did try to warn you with the whole Sharon Carter thing. (Sharon Carter, in an act of gross and misogynistic misuse, remains one of the most criminally mistreated characters in the entire MCU, arguably serving almost entirely as a “no homo” device before being completely discarded, never to be heard from again.)

Which got me thinking — was this move to distance Steve and Bucky so abruptly a reactive move? The divide between Steve and Bucky that happens in IW and EG feels so cold and inorganic. It does not feel at all driven by the natural arc of the characters as established by the creators themselves. It feels rushed and confusing, like it just needed to happen for plot convenience (though not even clearly that), and once again, we are left trying to figure out what the fuck is actually going on.

Part of that is probably needing to lay the groundwork for Steve’s feelings of alienation, which lead him to his ultimate choice to go back in time. He can’t feel too connected to Bucky or he won’t want to go back to be with Peggy. But could part of this also possibly be a reaction to how strongly Stucky was adopted by the public? Did Markus and McFeely realize how much more strongly we love the idea of Steve and Bucky — as friends or lovers, who cares? — rather than Steve and Peggy, which was probably their ending for Steve all along? Did they realize their terrible mistake of bringing them so close, endearing them to us so much, and then realize “OH SHIT,” and then slam on the brakes? Is that why IW and EG felt like absolute shit for their relationship, even for those who are not total endgame Stucky people?

Okay, but what if their friendship just ran its course? Friendships do that, even really deep ones. These two have had a huge chronological and experiential rift that never was really healed (thanks to our dear writers). Steve saved Bucky’s life thrice but they never really reconnected. Presumably. As far as we know in the narrative we are given by the writers. Okay. Let’s say you need to get Steve back with Peggy and for Bucky to become pals with Sam instead because contracts and actors. Whatever. Fine. But if you are going to play the “our friendship has come and gone” card, you need to fully PLAY IT. You can’t make it some vague option that might be true because we can’t figure out what the hell is going on. They need to have an actual conversation. For fuck’s sake, if we have time to fuck around with Korg and Miek on the couch and time to have Banner take selfies with kids and do stupid time gags and a bunch of other little shit, there is enough time to have a brief conversation somewhere to imply that “things have changed” or “people change” or something to imply that the writers were even thinking about the course of Bucky and Steve’s relationship as more than just a platform to launch Steve back to Peggy and launch Bucky toward Sam for their spinoff series.

There was just no depth. How can they give us three movies composed almost entirely of Mariana Trench levels of depth between these two men and then give us virtually nothing in IW and then next to nothing in EG to “round out” their entire storyline? The shape of the emotional momentum in this relationship is so wonky and dissatisfying, and the lack of comment on the dissolution of their friendship in the narrative, the fact that it isn’t even being acknowledged, is one of the worst parts. This relationship died without being honored or even attended to at the most basic level, after being told that it is perhaps the most important relationship in Steve and Bucky’s lifetimes and being shown evidence of that fact.

Moreover, let’s get real — calling Peggy the love of Steve’s life should do nothing to diminish his friendship with Bucky Barnes. That’s not how love works. You don’t just get one person. You can have a best friend — hell, you can have two best friends — and a woman you love. (And even moreover, you don’t have to leap back through time to find closeness just because you can. But that’s another matter with Steve’s character that I will address in a future speculative character analysis on Steve in an effort to explain how he got to this point, because I have a super depressing head canon about it involving traumatic grief and loss.)

But just like comic book science, perhaps there are comic book rules about love and affinity. You only get one person, and Steve gets Peggy. And apparently Bucky gets Sam. Because contracts. But as I said before, I would have been okay if they had a dissolution of their friendship because that was the course of their friendship. Just tell us what is happening. Have the decency to respect your characters by giving their relationship a true arc, whatever it is. You can’t just recycle a TFA line and call it an arc. That is not an arc. Markus and McFeely goddamn know better and we know they know better, because we just saw a beautiful relationship arc closing with Tony and Pepper and, on a smaller scale, with Tony and Peter fucking Parker.

By the way, the small in-person and symbolic interactions between Tony and Peter in EG? Those are what high quality, emotionally salient, brief interactions between people who care about each other look like.

1. Tony’s picture of Peter in his kitchen: He can see from where he does his dishes. He looks at it meaningfully and thoughtfully before making a major plot-essential decision that risks his way of life.

2. Tony and Peter’s reunion hug: It starts off with some humor and classic Peter rambling. Becomes a full-ass, real hug. Nobody slaps the other’s back. Peter remarks, very sincerely, “oh, this is nice.” <3

3. Tony’s death scene: Peter is visibly and truly wrecked. Tony looks at him in a heartfelt way. Words are unnecessary. It is perfect.

Bonus IW moment, because it is one of the most moving images I have seen in the MCU: Tony has Peter’s ashes in his goddamn mouth, eyes closed. Defeated.

Jesus Christ. Don’t tell me Markus and McFeely don’t know how to write characters and brief, powerful interactions, even when the characters are not together. They most certainly are very, very capable of this.

So why did we get the lifeless, quippy drivel and lame physical contact they gave Bucky and Steve in IW and EG? Which, regarding their last convo, was Bucky spilling his guts and Steve being like “Yeah brah, you’ll be fine, don’t be a fucking idiot while I’m off being happy with the only person in the universe who can make me complete #surprisesoulmates.” Bucky offers his quippy mandatory TFA callback retort so that the audience remembers that these two once gave an actual fuck about each other at one point in the narrative. Cue slappy-back-no-dick-touch hug. And please don’t tell me that this is just how men from the ‘40s hug. I would buy that for TFA, but after everything they’ve been through in Winter Soldier and Civil War? I am not buying it.

So we get a Steve Rogers who exits the MCU permanently by making a contentious, questionable final choice with questionable implications that take a graduate degree and/or a hive mind to questionably figure out (or else I’m just a fucking idiot and I’m the only one who needed those things). And we also get the profoundly dissatisfying demise of a relationship that we invested a tremendous amount of emotional energy in because that is what the screenwriters and directors asked us to do.

I am not writing this as a diehard Stucky shipper. I love Stucky, don’t get me wrong. It’s all I read and write in fandom. And I can certainly buy a world (at least, in Caps 1-3) where canon Steve’s love for Bucky is the gay kind and vice versa. Sure. But I am writing this as a person who loves good characters and good story, and this is such a hard fail that even if I had no emotional investment in these two characters, I would wonder what Markus and McFeely had against Steve and Bucky that they let their garden succumb to drought while they tended so considerately to Tony and Peter and Tony and Pepper and Steve and Natasha and Steve and a dead woman and Thor and Bruce and Thor and fucking Rocket, pretty much all of whom (with the exception of Tony and Pepper) have had so much less at stake, so much less time invested, and so much less of a reason for the audience to give a fuck.

But more importantly, I am writing this as a lover of Steve and Bucky, two people who have a well-established, rock-solid, indisputable human relationship that deserves so much more than what it got, especially given all of the unspeakable suffering these men have experienced separately and as a byproduct of their separation. Canonically. This is not made up fandom shippery superimposed upon Markus and McFeely’s precious creation. This is the truth of these two men as determined by the hands of the creators who also neglected them into nothingness, which is arguably a fate far worse than one or both of them dying an actual, final death.

I am left feeling disappointed and betrayed as a fan, wishing, as others have confided in me, that I was more of a Tony person and had been all along. Because then I would be walking away from this still grief-stricken, but at least it would be for the right reasons.

I will leave you with this, arguably one of the last in-character moments for Bucky and Steve in the MCU.

wow the quality of the video really sucks after it has been compressed but well i don’t have a choice!

anyway, i’m moving back to tumblr again mainly cus wordpress sucks and it’s not allowing me to post videos unless i buy their premium plan which is tbh a no cus idk why platforms for blogging should even charge you for the features that they were supposed to have???? also sadly, tumblr also only lets you post 1 video per post limit which is why i’ve put the pics and videos i took into in one but it’s better than not being able to post a video at all.

we’ve been officially together for 3 years and 5 months now and wow, i’ve only just realised what a long time that is 😂 honestly, if you want to count how long it has been since we first met each other, it’ll probably be about 8 years now. tho han sees it as 8 years but i see it as 3y5m cus idk who he was back then ya know what i mean? like i know the 3y5m him now than the him 8 years ago.

han sent me his live location as he does so every sat, and i was late. even tho he came all the way to my place i was still late :/ and i was so sorry 😭 i know there shouldn’t be any excuses for my lateness but i have my reasons, even if anyone thinks it isn’t valid :/ so i alr prepared right? like i mentally prepared and visualize what i wanna wear and etc. and so i went to take a shower and all. and then my mom all of a sudden asked me to do things like ordering food for her, clipping her nails, airfrying some sotong balls cus she was feeling peckish. initially she asked me to order food, which i then did but it was immediately cancelled due to the weather. it suddenly rained really heavily. and then while i was in her room drying my hair, she suddenly said she wanted sotong balls which i then went to airfry. and then when i alr did that and continued drying my hair, she then asked me to clip her nails and i was like “i’m going out ibu later farhan will be waiting for me alr” and she was like nvm la it will only take a while. so i did that and then i had to just rush cus i checked his live location and he was alr nearing tenaga area which is so damn close to my place alr. then i quickly picked out the outfit i wanted to wear. i mean come on, it’s our monthsary and i wanted to dress up right and i alr had this mental image of what i wanna wear right? so i took it out, wore it and then i realized that it was still a bit rainy??? like kinda drizzling so i figured he’ll be coming up first to wait till the rain totally stops but he texted me asking me to come down instead. and at this point i was sweating profusely. yeah, it was rainy but i was feeling so warm from rushing and doing so many things at once. oh ya, i was wearing this satin white shirt with shorts and that was my initial outfit like it looks laidback and casual and effortless but i decided to change cus i was perspiring and it felt so uncomfortable wearing a satin material when you’re perspiring like heck!! so i ended up wearing my fav tee with the same shorts and brought my hoodie along. it’s also my fav hoodie from uniqlo. i think their hoodie quality is bomz it’s not too thick or too thin and i wanna buy more but maybe wait till they have sales or something. so i ended up just looking super hobo as heck like it just looks like i didn’t even bother to dress up and i felt sad but i didn’t want han to be waiting even longer.

so when i went down he was alr sitting at the seats at the void deck and i can feel anger radiating within him lol like i knew he was mad and he still had his helmet on and his rain jacket on and all. and then he gave me different options of where to go for our lunch and then i just sat there pondering for a bit. and then i asked him if he wanted to put the jacket and pants at home but he didn’t want to so he took it off and then put it on the table and he took off his helmet as well. and then i asked him if we could eat at genki and he told me that genki was one of the options that he forgot to list so we decided on genki! his anger didn’t last long and as he stood up to head over to his bike i went to him and open up my arms cus i just wanted to hug him lolol then at first he tried to act all “ew” and moved away but he ended up hugging me anyway hehe and then don’t want to let go lol so bobo so cute. honestly i’m still shy??? around him wtf. like when i initiated the hug itself i felt so shy loooooollllll and when he didn’t wanna let go it made me blush wtf but ofc he can’t see cus we have to wear the stupid mask bc of stupid covid. i hate it wtf my face is so sensitive and it’s breaking out bc of having to wear the mask so my skin can’t breathe. like what’s the point of me not wearing makeup underneath the mask when i still break out anyway right zzz hais. ok sorry side track a bit but ya hahaha so then i told him i wanted to show him something!!! and then he was like “eh eh who said you let go” or was it “who said you can stop hugging” but it’s either one la hahaha then i took his hand and pull down my mask and then kissed his hand 😂 then i told him to look and i said “no transfer”!!!!!! hahahahaha cus i was wearing this lipstick and wtf man the formula is damn amazing really didn’t transfer anywhere at all. i even kissed my own hand and i even drank water but not transfer AT ALL. it was a gift i got from two years back i think hahaha for my bday from rai, a kylie kit and i haven’t worn it out before mainly bc the color didn’t suit my skintone cus the shade felt so light but when i wore it this time it felt like the shade was darker somehow? idk if i became pale from staying at home all the time or idk lol but i like the shade now 😌

oh at first i didn’t wanna go to tampines cus we always go to tampines hahaha and i guess i made a face and han teased me about it lol as much as it annoys me it’s a good kind of annoying? 😂 cus he’s so cute whenever he teases me in that way lolol but we ended up just heading to tampines anyway cus he wanted to save up on petrol also and i thought ok ya cus he has to work now and he has to go to and fro everyday so it’s better for him to save the petrol as well. i put on my hoodie and then we went to the usual parking spot at tampines. and then bc both of our masks were down i could actually kiss him hehe. and then from there we walked to the front entrance of the mall cus of this covid there’s only one in and out entrance but entering was a breeze tbh cus even tho there was a long line, we didn’t have to wait long.

then we went up to the escalator. and genki wasn’t crowded at all either so that was great!!! we did the safe entry thing, got our temperature taken and got our seats. then we ordered some food hehe. i was excited cus lol i love genki. not as much as i love my bf but if i have to choose an express sushi shop i would choose genki 😂 i wanted something soupy and filling so i got their beef udon since i alr had their duck udon the previous time we went there. and then i got a drink and chawanmushi as an appetizer. i love their chawanmushi as well and it’s something i will always get. i used to buy their clams miso soup but since it was taken out of the menu, i got their chawanmushi instead. and i was so happy when han decided to try the chawanmushi!!!!! i’ve always knew him as someone that wasn’t into eggs but he actually liked this one!! and he even ate the prawn and the naruto/japanese fish cake when i fed it to him omg 😭😭😭 i was legit so happy wtf hahahaha and then his fried squid came, also one of the hot foods i will always order but usually i’ll get it if i didn’t buy any of the udon. but since i alr got the udon i didn’t order it. and then his mini chicken teriyaki don came and lol the bowl was rly so mini ahahaha i wish i took a picture of it but i didn’t. but it was worth for the price of $4 i think since it was actually filled to the brim. there was even slices of tamago in it. he fed me a spoonful and it was nice!!! i’m gonna try that next time i go to genki if i’m feeling like eating rice 😂 i like udon cus of the chewy texture of the noodles and the soup. and then a plate of mentaiko fries came 🤤 there was A LOT of mentaiko on it it was so amazing and i was so surprise cus i didn’t order it but at the end of the day han said that he saw that i didn’t order the fries so he ordered it for me 🥺😍 so sweet hais and i really enjoyed it. i love genki’s mentaiko sauce it’s so damn goooooodddddd. so salty so nice. and then my udon came hehe and i devoured it. i fed han some too and gave him one of the fish cakes cus i think they made a mistake and put two pieces. the udon was so good i love it hahahaha. and then han ordered a seaweed roll, 2 more beef sushi and 1 mentaiko salmon for me hehe yes i know how to eat salmon now!!!! but it must be seared. i still can’t eat raw ones unless i rly dipped it in soy sauce or if it’s cut super thinly then maybe can try 😅

then after we finished eating, we went up to see if we can catch a movie. i wasn’t sure if we’re allowed to sit together so i asked him to ask first if we have to be separated and yay we don’t have to separate!!! so we decided to watch train to busan 2: peninsula. since we alr watched the first one together and there wasn’t much movies that were showing so we decided to catch the 5:10pm slot. it’s been so so so long since we last watched a movie tgt so this was nice. we didn’t get anything to eat since we just ate and i was still full but we had some time so we went to fairprice and got some candies. then farhan bought a root beer slushy which turns out to be scam!!! cus it’s just ice and it was practically solidified even after the movie was over it didn’t even melt much within 2 hours wtf. and then he also got a hotdog bun 😂

the movie was great. not as great as the first one cus the first one was definitely much more impactful but this one was not too bad. a bit too much “racing” scenes but i guess it’s to keep its audience on the toes. the storyline is a bit meh as well but i guess the suspense from some parts made up for it. it’s quite tragic though.

and then after the movie, i asked han if he still wanted pizza but when we saw the queue there was still a bunch of people waiting for their orders. even some foodpanda and grab delivery riders were waiting so i told him we’ll just order in and at first he was like we’ll see how but i ordered anyway. then we went out to head home and han finally lighted a cigarette. hahahaha he actually had to suppressed his desire to smoke cus we didn’t have time since i chose the earlier slot for the movie and im so proud of him for being able to suppress the feeling and yet not turning into a cranky momok.

while on the way back, he wanted to top up some petrol so we stopped by spc and then he wanted to top up his cashcard so we had to go one big round from the carpark to where he can top up his card but the machine is stupid!!! and he got upset cus he wasn’t able to top up his card. i think he still prefers the card with chip reader than the contactless ones. so then we decided to head to 7-11 so he can purchase one with chip but they ran out. so we decided to find another petrol station cus he said usually it’s being sold there too. so we did and this time round i guess i was being cranky cus the seat of his bike was eating into my skin and it hurts like heck so i told him to just top up the card since they don’t have the chip ones and he needed to top up anyway but then in front there was another petrol station and apparently they had a chip + contactless card there and i think they only accepted cash for it so he came out and then went in back and bought one there. and i was still cranky lol and i was perspiring so much both from my scalp to my body and it was drizzling too so all i wanted to do was head home so i got upset and i lashed it out on him when we made our way back cus he kept trying to make a joke out of the pain i felt and it just triggered me cus it’s like he doesn’t understand how much it hurts??

but it’s not his fault. cus i’m the one that chose to wear shorts even tho i know how much it hurts when i sit too long on the bike. and then he said he’ll cut the netting off but i was like no wtf. cus 1, we don’t meet everyday which sucks but ya we don’t and thus i’m not the one sitting on the back of his bike everyday so having to sit one day out of the week doesn’t bother me as much as having to sit on it everyday ya know what i mean? and 2, the parts that are still protected which is probably about 90-80% of the seat is still useable so it’ll be able to help protect the other areas from getting damage by the claws of cats.

and then when we got back, he wanted to pass his gummies to me but no one in this household eats gummies or candies. my mom can’t even eat sugary content cus of health, my dad isn’t a fan of gummies or candies he much prefers chips and chocolates and my brother too prefers chocolates or ice creams. i don’t like sugary content either but unless it comes from cakes or pastries or ice creams or chocolates so rly, no one is gonna eat it. and then he got mad at me and all i could hear was “you do to me can but when i’m doing it to you cannot” and i didn’t get what he meant by that tbh so i just kept quiet all the way till we’re home. i quickly took off my hoodie, changed into a more comfortable shorts went to take a piss and then went into my room. i sat down for awhile in front of the fan cus i was sweating so much and then i cooled down before i apologized to him and then asked him if he was still upset. i tried to get him to explain what he meant but couldn’t get anything out of him cus he just prefers to sweep it under the rug whereas i like to talk about it so i can see what i did wrong or which areas i have to improve or change so it can better our lives ya know but he’s not like that and i have to understand it so i just kept quiet and then i kissed him and stroked his face and hair a little.

and then he asked me if the pizza was here and i said ya hahaha it’s alr in the kitchen and whether he wants me to take it so he was like yes and as i was going to take the pizza he grabbed me and hugged me tight and i just instantly melted. it was genuinely hot lol i like this kinda shit hahahahaha but i’ve always felt afraid that i was gonna hurt him with my weight so i didn’t dare do anything that will shift my whole weight onto him but he didn’t care and he said it doesn’t hurt 🥺 haissss

honestly going home was all i was looking forward to. it’s not bc i’m horny lol or maybe that’s one of the reason but it’s mainly bc i just want to lay in his arms and just cuddle and give him kisses and also receive kisses. i’ve missed him all week long and we haven’t really been able to talk much since he’s working and he’s always tired when he gets home but it’s good that he’s working hard for his future and for our future.

and then the time for him to head home came. a truly saddening end of the day and he left a little later than usual but i’m just glad he got home safely and didn’t get lectured for being home a little late.
