I try to but I also get very nervous responding because I often don't know what to say back and I feel like it's almost rude or disrespectful to respond to a comment, esp the very nice ones that are long and in-deph with just a keysmash or a bunch of emojis, but I do read every single one since I have email notifications on for them

I'd like to sit down and respond to many but I really don't want to make it awkward so pls dear god readers forgive me

I don't like unhappy endings. I enjoy angsty stories but I like when it's at least ending happy to me

Not really? Most adults (in my experience) know the 'don't like don't read' rule and know basic online etiquette. I've gotten some for discontinuing a fic or switching fandoms though

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don't write or draw NSFW! I like to make some suggestive themes sometimes, but I'm a very ace person, it's not something I do often. (I do have a current running goal that if my friend reaches their donation goal for their medical bills that I would give NSFW a shot, but again its not really my cup of tea)

10 – Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Nah I haven't written any cross overs, but I do draw them sometimes. Recently I've been spinning a Alice in Wonderland x COTL crossover in my head.

11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yep. I've had people copy and paste my work, go in with a thesaurus to change a few words (like changing 'angry' to mad, 'upset' to 'sad', and so forth) to try and avoid detection and re-posted my written work under a different title name. AO3 staff took them down for violating their policy against plagiarism though

12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. I wouldn't mind it so as long as I'm asked before hand, though not on anon so I can actually work with the person to prevent any mistranslations or mishandling, and that I don't want my work posted to other websites

13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?

I think I did when I was a teen but I cannot remember now

14 – What's your all-time favorite ship?

Eh I don't have any favorites, just ones I really focus on for a long while

15 – What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I can sit down for hours or several days and work on a writing wip completely in the zone. I cant do it on command but its at least something I can do

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

Spelling and grammar, and sometimes long running sentences. I just kinda write, theres not really a goal for it to be perfect though so as long as the story gist and vibe is right, im fine with it

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I've done it before but only minor, had a friend help me with it (one or two lines of dialogue) Aside from that, I'm not comfortably fluent enough in anything to do it again without assistance

19 – First fandom you wrote for?

Soul Eater, when I was wayyy too young to be posting anything on the internet. My fanfics I wrote are still on fanfic.net to this day

I'm so happy you like my ask (this is long overdue).

I bet that the people of Fontaine are very happy because i have been doing nothing but hanging out with the Melusine instead of doing the archon quest(though that will eventually come to an end soon). I also bet that new laws/regulations are being proposed because the amount of wacky stuffs the Traveler and their companions is up to all the time. Imagine you just joined the Traveler's team and your first experience is watching a forest watcher beat up some of Fontaine's local legends lmao (and after your recent post, Childe is seething if he learned of this).

New laws being proposed because of the traveler is amazing. It has the same vibe as that gliding law in Mondstadt about taking off using anemo slimes (yes, it works, no, it is not very useful as far as I know. I don't even remember if you get an achievement), because you KNOW there's a story behind it, someone must have tried it and it must've gone very, very wrong, and the wacky circumstances that lead to the creation of new laws would be hilarious to witness.

However, on a more serious note, Wriothesley and Neuvillette would be grappling with the issue of teleportation - how do you arrest someone who can simply just... leave? It doesn't matter how secure a prison is if a bored entity can just take control of one of the prisoners and whisk them away on a whim? Worse yet, since Wriothesley is officially a Vessel, what would happen if an Overseer decided to take control of him and sign official pardons? New rules in the Fortress of Meropide have been implemented - any orders given by the Duke while he is on the team are automatically overruled unless it can be proven that he is acting of his own accord.

I can only imagine how confusing it feels for the newcomers to suddenly join the team and find themselves in the kind of situations the Traveler faces daily... and for the onlookers, of course. "Oh, I wonder who that newcomer is... such a distingushed gentleman, perhaps he's here on business?" "Guys, not to scare you or anything, but that 'distinguished gentleman' dropped a meteor on a crab." "Oh, yes, that huge crab in the-" "No. A regular crab. On the smaller side, even. He just threw a huge meteor at it - didn't even bat an eye. The crab practically disintegrated." "What the hell."

And for those that don't know their teammates - any of the knights of Favonius being placed on a team with Klee know exactly what she's capable of, but someone less familiar with her is about to be shocked. "What in Celestia's name is the Overseer thinking? This is a child, she'll get hu- oh. Oh no."

On the other hand, imagine being a nun-turned-idol, looking to the side to check who your teammates are, and there's the Raiden Shogun standing there as if it's no big deal. A little bird lands on her fingers. She watches it with a wistful expression as it flies away. You look to the other side and see the Dendro Archon chatting with that kind but often drunk bard as if they're old friends. You find yourself in what looks like a domain but soon realise, with no small amount of dread, that you're in the Abyss. At least you have two Archons beside you... Barbatos help you, the challenge has started and there are more monsters than you thought. You're doing your best to keep all your teammates alive - you wouldn't forgive yourself if you were the indirect cause for the fall of a god. So you sing your song and put the hydro circle around your team, but there's just too many enemies, coming from all sides... And then you hear a faint "ehe", and the specters are pulled into a vortex of wind. The Shogun doesn't even need to pull out her signature move, just the swirl reaction the bard has caused is enough. You see him shoot down one of the things with a single Anemo-infused arrow. It dies immediately. He's dealing damage on par with the two Archons on the team. Just what is this bard capable of? Suddenly those rumors about him being Barbatos are starting to seem a little less nonsensical. Surely, it couldn't be true, right? You have half a mind to ask him about it once the four of you exit the Abyss, but as soon as you find yourself outside and able to regain your breath he just gives you a "whoops, gotta go!" and floats away on a wind current you're pretty sure he just created.

Now that I think of it, it'd be fun to imagine how different team dynamics would work - I'll make a separate post for this, but if you've read this far and want to send in asks with your team comps... 👀

I know, I know I'm a scratched record

But I'm dying to hear your thoughts on the Wakfu finale when you get to it!

I just finished watching it and it's uuh... hmm. I read people saying the finale was "satisfactory" but I am not fully on board with that sentiment.

Too much left unanswered, not enough wrapped up, too rushed to get to the end.

I know the Waven game is a continuation of sorts, it takes place decades after Wakfu's conclusion so that game might hold some answers or closure, buuuuttt... I'm not interested enough in the game to play and find out. I guess I've grown a bit tired of the whole cross-media info/lore some franchises love to do (like Blizzard and covering important info across the Warcraft games, books and short stories).

Wakfu season 4 obviously has an open ending, no matter that it is the final season, so who knows what might follow. I'm just a little saddened that the story picked up a little too late this season but the animation, particularly during action scenes, was pretty great... when not using the same static images of characters xDD They loved that a little too much but I understand the budget wasn't that big so I can't really fault Ankama for it.

Did I like this season? Mmmyyeeaaah, it's a mixed bag. Better than season 3 but not better than the first two seasons or even the OVA episodes. Glad it exists but I don't feel super satisfied with its conclusion.

HEAVY SPOILERS ahead, so be mindful but gonna share some thoughts:

Seeing Joris play a bigger part in the second half of the 4th season, and him vibing with Adamaï made me very giddy and happy. Love that for them, hope they become good friends. And thank fek neither of them died. RIP, Qilby, Armand and Brakmar (maybe?). The guys who needed to redeem themselves got their chance, at least.

Goddess Eliatrope was a big disappointment and an unlikeable character but I guess that was kind of the point...? Angry that she totally ignored Chibi and Grougal, like what the fuck even? Didn't even show a hint of acknowledgment towards them. What if they wanted to meet mom, huh?? And what even happened to Baltazar and Glip, who were in Emrub with the same kids that were asleep in Goddess Eliatrope's belly? What did she do with them?

But hey, at least my headcanon that the Sadida and Eliatropes will combine into a single kingdom/people (which I also wrote about in my Rebirth fic) actually happening was pretty satisfying x'D It even has Wakfu-infused trees, om nom nom.

A little frustrated with Necroworld (not the same Necroworld from the Transformers: Lost Light comics) because it's supposed to be a different planet in some other universe but it had dofus (dragon eggs) and races of the Twelve like Sadida, Sram and Sacrier. It was pretty confusing... Imo, it should have been something similar to The Upside Down (Stranger Things), or an alternate version of the world of Twelve rather than a completely separate place. But eh...

Why did nobody care about the state Inglorium was in, or that the Gods have disappeared? That bothered me so so so soooo much during the first two episodes; nobody non-Eliatrope or non-demigod cared that their God/Goddess was... well... gone. Aside from God Iop, where are they?? Hated the disinterest, hated the silence around it. Guess that's a mystery that will be unraveled in some other media.

Yugo grew tall and handsome and I'm not afraid to say it. Happy for him, though him suddenly growing so quickly was a bit silly. I figured there would be a time skip to justify his 'growth' that we saw in promotional images and teasers. Won't complain though, he deserved to finally be in a body that reflects his actual age, it took him long enough!

"Bootleg Alys" from the Dofus movie made a cameo in episode 11 which made me snerk. (I noticed a few more background characters from the movie that were re-used in episode 11.)

And that's all I have to say, at least here on Tumblr. It was quite a ride.

A big thanks Ankama and all the Kickbackers that made it possible; this show had its ups and downs over the past decade but it was enjoyable and loved. It still holds a special place in my heart and I will keep a tiny eye out for more Krozmos stuff in the future (like Welsh & Shedar, gimme!!).

Hi hello I'm back! I got myself lost in the hype of Rune Factory 3 rereleasing so I disappeared for a bit. But Im back now! Heres the Bracelet Girls dressed as some of the bacholorettes!

Yuzu! I was debating between going for either Shara (flower girl vibes) or Pia (in reference to my mermay piece, pink hair, and the fact that shes the girl im going for in my current run), but ultimately thought Shara fit her better.I absolutely adored Shara as a kid, and when RF5 came out last year, I always wore the Shara outfit. And Yuzu looks great in it! Im very happy with how it turned out, it really fits her aesthetic.

There was only one of the bacholorettes that I was gonna go for with Serena, and that was Raven. They have the exact same vibe in my opinion. I dont know if Raven's outfit really matches her color pallet, but eh. I like drawing Serena with her hair down.

RINRIN♡ Rin started this whole idea for me. I originally compared her to Carmen, and then thought she was quite a bit like Marian as well. I decided to go with Marian because Wind Witch vibes. This started out as my least favorite when Id sketched it, but i ended up really happy with the details when Id finished the coloring!

In my opinion, Ruri doesnt really have a bacholorette in RF3 that I can compare her too. She reminds me more of Felicity in RF1 or Leann from RF2. So it was down to whichever RF3 bacholorette I thought her aesthetic matched to the best- Sofia or Sakuya. I went with Sofia because I think the colors of the outfit would go better with the rest of the girls. I feel like im not really great at drawing Ruri though, so I hope to draw her more in the future.

Yes--not sure what is meant by "kind." M/F and F/F--soft and gentle, hard and fast, mildly kinky, plot-relevant and pwp, etc. A variety of smut, haha.

Not really. Crossovers aren't really my jam, but if I wrote one it would probably be Inquisition characters in Mass Effect (like a genre switch thing, not picked up and dropped into our solar system).

When I was like 13 on FF.net, yes. It's why I stopped writing fic until I was 28.

God. Don't ask me this haha. My first DA ship was Fenris/Hawke and it still lives so closed to my heart, but Cullen/Lavellan got me into the fandom and Zevran/Tabris brought me someone very dear to me. I don't think I could ever judge any of them by the merits of the ship alone at this point!

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hmmm more than I'd like to admit :/ Probably The Red Crossing Arrangement, which is an arranged marriage/Halamshiral still belongs to the elves AU. It took so much more world building that my ability to write it slowly petered out. The odds are high that it will remain at roughly 80k for the foreseeable future (unless I suddenly want to get back to working out trade routes and governance and commerce, which is what did me in; I'm good at world-building culture on account of the degree and all, but the semantics of daily life don't really interest me as much) (tragically, this means the Adalene and Elandrin fix-it portions of this story may never be published :C and this does honestly make me so sad :C)

16. What are your writing strengths?

Voice and characterization/internal dialogue. I've been told that the canon characters I write feel very similar to canon and that's something I'm really proud of c:

Physical space. I forget to define the setting very, very frequently. It's the next thing I want to focus on in my writing, actually, when I get back into it!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Eh. I think it can add flavor, especially in fantasy settings where the cultures and worlds are built dissimilarly to the real world. I don't think there's anything especially fun about not being able to discern what's happening in conversation---I think it's most effective when it's a handful of phrases that repeat (hello, I'm sorry, I love you, etc.) or when followed by a translation of some sort. As a lover of Latin, I especially find google translations very unreliable and often incorrect. Better to just italicize it and indicate it's another language, imo.

In eventually, Camila and Jasper have a decently supportive relationship, right? Like she's a supportive person in general, and he's able to reassure her that Luz is doing amazingly well in the Demon Realm, and sure there's still Jasper's issues but for the most part it's good.

Right, so what if in BvB, Camila and Will are just. Incapable of NOT setting each other into a panic.

Camila: I've been so worried about my daughter being in another world.

Will: Eh, don't worry, she holds her own. Her glyphs are no joke, she set one of my scouts on fire once. And she really packs a punch.

Camila: …wait, HAVE YOU BEEN FIGHTING MY DAUGHTER??

Will: Shit.

And like, Camila can't comfort him much either.

Will: So, as a parent who's been separated from their kid, can you tell me how that made you feel? For science.

Camila: Once I realized Luz was missing, I was prepared to do whatever it took to get her back! Fight the entire demon realm if I had to! Kill whatever monsters might get in my way!

Will: …well I can't say I'll be surprised if Hunter's dad kills me.

Camila: Oh! No! I mean--look, I'm upset at Eda, but I'm not gonna kill her! She's been taking care of my daughter and doing her best to help her grow and protect her and even if I'm upset I'm still grateful to her for that!

Will: *thinking of all the dangerous missions he's brought Hunter along on* Yeah I don't know if he's gonna be.

In bvb they've got a slightly different vibe and it's generally like... I mean. Jasper actually has a fucking adult friend. And hunter is a lot less traumatized than eventually. And also since jasper has actively been trying to kidnap him for three years I think it's a lot easier for hunter to forgive him for anything because like. He was visibly fucking doing his best lol

But in eventually like... Camila is empathetic and kind and like. Jasper is deeply fucking troubled. But I think... Surely she must see herself in him? He loves his son so fucking much but it's... Not enough. Just loving him is not enough. it's the same with luz-- she loves her so much, but Luz cannot be happy with her. She can't be. And it's not Camila's fault and there's probably nothing she could have done about it. Luz found a place she can be happy, and she has never been happy where she was. How much must that hurt? To know no matter how much she loves her, the best thing she can do for her is let her go.

And jasper has let Hunter go. Hunter is happier living with Camila. He loves him enough to be without him even though it's agony. She's literally done the same thing with Luz, and she ALSO hurt her. Not to nearly the extent as Jasper, but-- she tried to change her and I'm sure after Manny died her emotional connection with her became really strained and unhappy. And she knows she hurt Luz and that theres nothing she can do now. She can't fix it or change. And she clearly regrets that so much. Of course she has to sympathize with jasper and his regrets and pain and consequences.

I just... I know she must be in a lot of pain. Luz loves her but she still has to go. She just has to be okay with knowing that ultimately she did fail as a mother, because her goal was to raise a happy child and she didn't. Even if it wasn't her fault, even if she had tried her very best and couldn't do any better, it doesn't matter. That was her goal and she failed to reach it. That must be so painful. And so... Again. He was in such an impossible situation. What could he have done? What should he have done? What would would SHE have done? What must it be like to live with that?

He saved her sons life. Over and over again. He has also at this point has probably saved luz's life too, or at least, has protected her in a way where he might have. I think it's clear that... Jasper is a good person. But also... Something is so wrong with him. A lot is wrong with him. She's a vet. She's seen what a traumatized animal looks like. She's seen a frightened and confused dog who expects to be hit biting hands that try to help it. She has a lot of empathy for what's going on with him. And pity is not the kindest thing to feel for other people but... It's gotta be really hard not to pity him.

So yeah I think she like... Feels a sort of... Protectiveness over him. A little similar to how Gus feels extremely protective of hunter. He is technically her peer, but at the same time he is so much less developed. If you've ever had a friend you really cared about but also seen how fragile they might be and just feel... Like extremely protective of them... I think that's what she feels. He's sort of a friend but also like. Very concerned and protective of this person in her life who is really struggling and doesn't have much of a support structure in his life to help him. You know what? Luz pointed at Hunter and said My Brother Now. Camila has kind of done the same thing with jasper. Only Luz was like This Is My Annoying Older Brother Now. And Camila is like this is my fucked up little brother now and I keep trying to get him to come over and eat a fucking vegetable

for your next music recs post i got a few:

1. “rabbit heart (raise it up)” by florence + the machine is a good one for rainhaze imo. it might work a little better if he was a girl just bc the singer refers to herself as such in the song but other than that it’s a pretty good fit

for the next two, i remember someone tried to recommend an ethel cain song for corm that ended up not being a good fit, BUT i feel like her music in general does match up with the vibes so here’s a couple songs off that same album (preacher’s daughter, def give it a listen if you get the chance) that i feel would fit:

2. “thoroughfare” would be a good one for hush puppy, wild rose, or even slugpelt depending on the context you take it in; lyrically it’s about a girl who falls in love with a smooth-talking guy and they plan to go on the run together. however, if you take it in the greater context of the album (bc it’s a concept album), the guy later turns out to be a serial killer/cult leader sooo you can imagine how that turns out

3. “ptolemaea,” which is a couple songs after the previous one, and sort of serves as the climax of the album; while i’m not sure if there’s a specific character it fits, it ABSOLUTELY fits the overall mood/themes of the story. i wish there was more i could say about it, but this is one of those songs where it’s best if you go in blind. trust me

Eh, I never care too much about the gender of lyrics unless it's actually relevant to the character's meaning. I like it with Redpelt, too, though! Since Rainhaze and Redpelt did have a relationship to each other, maybe they can both be singing the song.

2. I did listen to a bit of the Ethel Cain album, though it's not really my taste.

The specific song sounds really great to work with Wild Rose, in the context of the rest of the album. I have described her as a character with wanderlust before, so I imagine she'd want to leave Defiance with Deepdark.

3. Oh, what an intersting song this is. If I had to assign a character to it I'd say Deepdark, with certain other lyrics in the song as victims of his throughout the years. Specifically the phrasing of "I am the white light" and "[the] wolf, crawling to thee" are very relevant to some imagery surrounding him.

task seventeen: spring forward

1. first things first: do you like spring?

Yeah, it's fine I guess. Not my favorite but I don't really have anything against it either.

2. what is your favorite thing about spring?

Look, my favorite season is winter. I like the cold. I like the snow. I like that nobody's trying to get me to hang out at the beach. But I gotta admit the sunshine and the warmer (but not hot) weather feel pretty good.

3. what is your least favorite thing about spring?

I'm gonna be real with you. I fucking hate summer. Spring means we're that much closer to it and that I have another, like, six months before it starts to cool down again.

4. do you have a vegetable / produce / fruit garden?

No. I've thought about starting one, it'd be way better for my cooking than being at the mercy of whatever's in stores. But it's a lot of work and I don't think I've ever kept a plant alive in my life.

5. how about flower beds, or things planted in the house?

My house gives off a certain vibe. That vibe says "I'm 22 and I've never lived anywhere but a college dorm" which, despite not being factually true, feels accurate. Learning how to not kill a houseplant would really go against that aesthetic.

6. regardless of what you do or do not plant, are you good at growing plants? have a green thumb?

I think I've done a very good job explaining I'm fucking terrible at growing shit.

Shoe. I don't need them getting back in the house the way they came in and fucking up any fruit that's on the counter.

Yeah. I didn't come to Merrock with much stuff, so I don't have much to declutter yet. But I am big into making sure every room is deep cleaned at least twice a year - in the spring and in the fall.

19. do you switch over your wardrobe from cold weather to warm weather clothes?

I saw a meme about switching from your winter blacks to your summer blacks, which sums up how I feel. I mostly wear jeans and tshirts year round, so all I really do is put my thicker jackets away for a few months.

20. how about the house: does your decor change for the spring season? do you rearrange furniture?

Yeah, I tend to switch out my decor every few months so it doesn't feel boring. It's been awhile since I rearranged furniture though. I like where it's at now.

Pastels, right? Isn't that the big thing every year? The easter bunny is usually made in pastels, I notice a lot more pastel clothing when I'm doing photoshoots too

Same thing I wear every day. I don't really think about my clothes unless I need to dress up more. And even then, I just make sure I look nice enough without putting a whole lot of energy into it. most adorable looking baby animal that you ever did see?

Thank you for the new chapter! I love how Daemon really acknowledges that he’s a fucking pervert. Straight up shameless at all times but he’s still caring in his own way. His thought process of “oh my wife is too tired with making my child, I won’t wake her up and use her hand. I’ll just do it myself and cover her with my seed” like 🤣 Also! I realized he didn’t actually sing to her, what a cheat. And is that hints of him not being able to keep up with Babey in the bedroom I see 👀

The story about Daemon’s childhood was cutee, of course he’s been a mischievous rule-breaking brat since the very beginning. Imagine one of his future kids acts just like him and everyone(esp Viserys, if he’s still alive) is just like “yeah, now you know how we feel”

For example, Daemon is in his solar working and not wearing Dark Sister. He steps out for a moment *ahem* to fck Babey *ahem* and his young child breaks into the solar, steals his sword and goes on a dragon ride. Bonus points if it’s their first solo dragon ride.

And awww Rhaenyra feeling melancholy. You wish it was you huh? Welp, it wasn’t meant to be you girlie. I hope she doesn’t feel too down for too long though cause I love Rhae too.

Hey, 💎! Nice to see ya! I'm so glad you liked the new chapter, for some reason it was literal hell to write haha. Probably because I was introducing a whole bunch of plot threads, which made it difficult to navigate through some of the character groundwork I was laying. Plus I've been spiralling a little over whether or not I'm doing too much telling and not enough showing, which is such a fun exercise in insecurity!

Daemon is a grotty, bad man - and he knows it. Revels in it, even. If Babey's too tired for seks, he's gonna beat himself off and nut on her (gods, what an awful sentence). No impulse control, no "eh, let's hold off maybe?" vibes, STRAIGHT to "I'll get myself onto my partner's skin in her sleep". Jeeeeeez. As for the 'old' comment he makes, I guess I'm just really into the idea that he enjoys the fact that he's so far apart in age from her, a dirty ol' man corrupting his smol niecey. Plus, the robe and slippers was such a fucking hilarious domestic!Daemon image in my head - the sight of this man stalking down the corridors of Dragonstone at night, on his way to fuck Babey's pussy right up. Get it, you old coot.

I'm glad you enjoyed the incorporation of a childhood scene; not a lot is written about what Daemon was like as a kid other than 'he was wild' or something to this effect, so I extrapolated from that to build the scene with Jaehaerys. The old king isn't someone I've ever played around with before, so I thought it might be a good idea to bring that thread in. I hope it worked the way I wanted it to. Lol, I'm snorting at that what-if scenario. He's definitely gonna have a little munchkin like him to serve that good dose of karma, stressin' him out and all.

As for Rhaenyra, don't worry super much about her, I'd say. I've explained the general vibe of her reaction in this post, but it's not something petty and awful - I mean, it's not fair, but neither is it a "I'm gonna steal your man" angle, either. Just something I thought would be realistic in light of the circumstances she's found herself in and the fact that she's regularly seeing her uncle and her sister in happy domesticity together, when her uncle was once the only man she ever wanted.

Sid & Joey

The silly guys! Sid and Joey are the oldest kids? (I think I made them like 19 initially but I'm still calling them kids I don't care) out of the Legacy Students. Thought it would be fun to have twin characters because as we all know twins are not at all significant to the plot of DR I only had to make one sprite yey. Their main personality trait as a pair is the pretty stereotypical wacky, prank-pulling twins. Sid's technically the older twin and is a bit more aggressive and weirder. Joey is more charismatic and friendly. They dress and act the same in public-facing situations for shits and gigs but they do have distinctly different personalities. I'm not sure I'm like, entirely happy with how I initially characterised them. They just felt too similar to Leon at some points but eh. Had a mini freak out because I wasn't sure if wacky coloured hair is like....genetic in the DR universe?! Whatever.

Daiya

Oh Daiya. Daiya, Daiya, Daiya. She was the first OC I created for this thing and the one who I spent the most time on. I thought it'd be cute if Taka's daughter took one look at Mondo and was like you are my entire personality now. He's definitely a father figure to her (Ishimondo was end game in this AU btw, also on that note any father/mother pairings in this AU do not equal couples or anything. That was all done out of fulfilling the contracts. Half of them are gay/queer in some way I promise) Anyway, I always kind of pictured her as a rebel - as much as she could be in such an intimate place. Getting answers wrong in class on purpose, and hanging out in areas she's not supposed to be in. A big part of the plot of the AU hinges on her creating a club with the sole intent of escaping the school. Her dream is to travel across the land Mad Max style. Daiya ended up being the more or less 'antagonist' archetype for this AU. I still kind of flip-flop between giving her delinquent and queen bee bully personality. The twins are her lackeys.

Ren

Sad girl hours time! Ren is a jumpy, skittery mess. She knows her existence was a mistake, so she spends her time desperately trying to make up for it.

She loves being around children and is the designated babysitter for the younger Legacy Students. When she's not being mercilessly bullied by Daiya or alienating herself from others, she also likes to make toys. Another really big aspect of this AU is that Toko voluntarily locks herself away (to protect the others from Genocider), so Ren takes it upon herself to act as her caretaker. I'm still kind of working out what her relationship with Byakuya is. I definitely made it more fractured in the original concept, but I don't think he would be that cold to his own child.

Kaito

Hi I am very unhealthy about Kaito he is my favourite. Before you ask, I made him before V3 came out and I absolutely refuse to change his name even though it makes everything I write really confusing (I think he'd get along really well with V3 Kaito though) He's my favourite attempt at mixing two Danganronpa characters together and creating an amalgamation because he ended up becoming a chill and friendly surfer vibe new age one with the universe bro friend. Also he's a blind seer who kickstarts the AU story with a horrifying vision so that's always fun! He's definitely one of the most complex Legacy students because he has tons of layers to him. Something something happiest people are always y'know - not.

Ah yes, gotta have the quiet, stoic guy who stands in the corner. Yuki start off a lot meaner/more sarcastic when I first made him but then I was like nah I kinda like making him the guy who says like five words a day and judges you quietly from a distance. I was also going to make him more martial arts focused but I ended up making him more into meditation once I figured out his whole thing, that being he's afraid of his own power so he tries to keep himself in a calm state as much as he can.

and that's all the older kids! If anyone ever wants to discuss them or anything I am always open lmao they've rotted my brain for like 6 - 7 years so I have some weird ass lore for all of them.

All For One is a hero in the Asphodel Angels au and he goes by the hero name Athos, based on the Three Musketeers!

His "official" Quirk is called "Roulette", a Quirk that is said to randomize different effects at random times. It does it spontaneously and can range from incredibly powerful to mildly powerful. It definitely isn't another Quirk entirely and definitely isn't related to the cases where people lost their Quirk on a whim. Nooooo. Definitely not.

Of course, just because All For One- sorry- Athos, is now a hero, doesn't mean he isn't less of an asshole as he once was. He enjoys watching the public flock to him like the lambs they are, unaware that they are simply being lead away for the slaughter. He always did have an idea in mind but this? Oh this is so much better than he ever thought it would be.

For Shigaraki, yes. He is a hero as well and his name in this universe is Shigaraki Tenko. A young one who is up and coming and a protege for Athos. I'm sure that won't go wrong whatsoever.

He's still very much Shigaraki but he's slightly more chill here. I say slightly because several civilians have been reported to cry after he saved them. It's his feral vibes and him being rude and blunt. He means well he just doesn't have tact. He's good at his job though so that's great.

Backstory remains very much the same with some more...minor adjustments and a new hero to look up to. Was his childhood happy? Eh. Happy as it could be considering he accidentally killed his entire family. But he has to say that his UA years and his time as a Pro Hero is one of the best years of his life.

Class 1-A's whole thing is complicated. They're villains yeah but they would probably also argue that they are just doing what needs to be done. The hero world is sick. It's all sick and they believe they're doing society a justice by getting rid of those corrupt heroes and shady businesses. And so they made the Children’s Angels. An organization made to expose the injustices and right them.

They mean well it's just. They’re very violent and destructive in the ways to do it. The media is still not allowed to talk about the grape incident.

Said methods include: Murder, “Accidents”, Blackmail, Heists, Destruction, Fear Tactics, Breaking And Entering, Threats, and much much more in terms of crime.

All of their civilian identities are kept in the dark and no one knows who they are exactly. There are many theories on who they currently may be but no concrete evidence.

Now of course, because Class 1-A are the- ahem villains, there obviously have to be someone to oppose them right?

So who would be better than- Wait a minute those aren’t the Protagonists Athos was expecting. All of them are some sort of flavor of neurodivergent and mentally ill. In fact three of them aren’t heroes at all.

Well, it seems that group won’t be the “Heroes” after all. Although it would be rather interesting.

Yes they won’t be the heroes that would strike the Children’s Angels down but Athos has to admit. It is incredibly entertaining watching them flail around trying to carve their own place in the world.

I feel like I have a good grasp on one single type of sarcasm aka the very animated exaggerated kind, so I’ll use that sometimes but still don’t get it when people are sarcastic with me with a straight face, you’re just speaking to me normally yeah of course I took what u said at face value and believed it lol 10 years and my ex still uses dry sarcasm on me and is shocked when I believe what he’s telling me????

5: what sports do you play/have you played?

I was on a basketball team for one day as a teen and left the first practice bc I failed every layup we had to do and cried hysterically bc I was so embarrassed LOL no sports for me.

6: what's the first thing you notice about people?

eye contact, if you make strong eye contact i immediately am very very afraid of you.

idk like a darker grey/blue??

8: scary movies or happy endings?

hmmm idk i haven't watched a movie in at least a year or so, so whichever kind of movie wont make me cry whether that be happy or sad tears bc once i start crying i literally cannot stop myself lol

sims, and for a while collecting squishmallows but i have to get rid of all of them to move :-( i have tons of clay and earring supplies though so i'm hoping i'll have the energy/mental capacity to begin exploring that once i move!!

12: do you have any pets?

yes at the moment i have my siamese cat nelson, and my ex and i's pitbull Nala who'll be staying behind in texas. my heart dog chappie passed away about a year or two ago so i'm hoping to get another chinese crested one day again, they're such special little babies and i've never experienced a love as unconditional as chappie's that little guy was my whole entire world :-(

somehow this usually surprises online mutuals, maybe i give off taller vibes?? but i'm 5'2!!

14: favorite subject in school?

art!!! i had a very rocky high school experience and honestly did not attend school very much AT ALL, but my high school art teacher was so kind and supportive and always made me feel so safe coming to school when i otherwise didn't. and fun fact she was Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong's ex girlfriend and was even in Up in Smoke LOL

15: dream job?

i used to be a librarian before i moved to Texas so i'd say that's my dream job once agian!! i've been a dog groomer for 8-9 years now and it's quite literally destroying my body and I really hope I'm able to find another librarian position back up north soon.

I beat Final Fantasy XVI yesterday and am still processing it. My thoughts on the ending if you're curious are past the break! (ENDING SPOILERS FR FR)

That ending was such a fucking gut punch. But also was kinda weirdly Mass Effect 3-y (though I'm sure there are lots of endings where you go to an otherworldly place to defeat the evil and fire beams and leave your protag in an ambiguous space) and I was confused at how I felt as the credits rolled and the because of that. That starlight song HUUURRRTSSS OH MY GOD. I can't remember the last anything that like churned me inside like this with its ending.

Then I was reading interpretations and like I do with a lot of ambiguous endings I tend to lean to the happier interpretations. There are too many clues for me pointing to Clive's survival, and with him casting Raise on Joshua I'm ready to headcanon the full sappy "they all made it" ending including Dion cuz if we didn't see a body fully turn to stone or get super murderized, something they had no issue showing prior, then they can all make it (copium yes I know but it's a headcanon!). I'm a sucker for soft endings in stories and softness in general and I feel like after all the suffering and healing they went through, ending with more suffering doesn't sit right with me.

But at the very least I think Clive made it. The side quest with Harpocrates hoping Clive writes the story of this all one day, Clive narrating the intro and outro (the intro narration makes little sense otherwise to me), the book in the epilogue point to him having written the thing. Though Joshua as the author throws a wrench into things, maybe Clive dictated it to him so Joshua could lend his brother a hand eh?

Also everything with Jill's last quest and the symbolism of the ending.

ALSO IT'D BE DUMB AS FUCK FOR EVERYONE TO TELL CLIVE HE HAS TO LIVE AND SAVE HIMSELF AND STOP SELF SACRIFICING ONLY TO IMMEDIATELY DIE. The Clive dies interpretations feel just dull to me, not just from me favoring happy and bittersweet endings, it just feels at odds with everything if it's all just "and then they die." I know there's more to it than that but that's the vibe I get thinking about the ending that way.

"Before we broke camp, the morning after the storm, do you know what I did? I slipped away from my governess to climb the tor. And from there I saw a sea of petals, all reaching for the sun. And I realized that no matter how terrible the night…dawn would always come. That you…that you would always come for me. And you have. Again and again."

Dawn comes at the end of the game after a terrible night, symbolic of Clive coming home and fulfilling his promise. Jill praying to Metia the whole game and her prayer is finally answered at the end is a lot more beautiful to me than just. "The star Jill was praying to the whole game was really pointless oops star go out." Her relief feels less like "The big struggles are over and the sky is clear again" but tying back to the side quest from an hour or so earlier.

The idea that not engaging with the side quests prevents you from building the community as well is really interesting, almost doing two endings that way, a bitter one and a bittersweet but maybe hopeful one. I can't imagine how beat down I'd feel if I skipped all the big side quests before getting to that ending. It's also interesting how ambiguous they left it, I don't know if it makes the ending better but it hits me harder in a different way if that makes sense. The things the other way are the state Clive's in at the end, Gav crying (I'm so glad characters like Gav and Byron didn't die but oh my god it hurt so bad seeing Gav cry there), Jill feeling it and crying, Torgal howling...

BUT! I read wolves whimper and cry when they lose someone, like Torgal did when Cid died, but they howl when they're trying to bring members of their pack home. I just feel like there's more to hopeful if you look into the text around the ambiguity than not, like a reverse Sopranos ending.

Maybe TMI too but this was my like "dive deep into this during a depressive episode" game and I was kinda going iwth the interpretation like. All the characters telling Clive to stop sacrificing himself and save himself. That hit really hard with the depression for me. So for it to end like "well then he dies immediately after" feels so against that in a way that hurts. But fighting on and defying fate could be a really beautiful thing about facing ones own struggles, at least that's how I'm feeling. I pictured my depression/anxiety cycle as Kupka and me going against it like Clive in that scene like "I will show you no pity. No pity and no mercy. Now DIE!" like that was motivational for me for my current struggles. and the ending kinda muddies that and I don't know how to feel really.

All in all its up there with my favorite FF's, with the highlights being the huge battles like Titan and Bahamut, along with the smaller character moments like Clive and Uncle Byron's reunion. Also oh my god Ben Starr was amazing, one of my favorite performances in a game ever. My big downsides were I really would've been fine with a simpler happy ending after how much everyone suffered in this game, and that the women really got shafted in this one, it felt like a Shonen Jump manga in that regard lol. Jill getting benched to wife waiting for husband to come home as one of the big offenders. She didn't get shafted as bad as Luna did in FFXV at least, yeesh. I hope the next FF has lots more ladies!

Been in a very visual novel/otome game/dating sim mood lately.

Started with Tears of Themis, got worse with this one Xiao x Lumine one on Itch.io, got even worse by some non Genshin related ones on the same site (Project Blue and Blooming Panic, eugh, I'm feeling sappy), and now I've been replaying one I got in 2015 I think

Too bad it's Amnesia:Memories.

I used to love the anime cuz, eugh, the character designs were so extra and I was like 16 and deep in the anime hole. Also Shin is so pretty and he's all black and red lol. I even made several Shin themes for my browser lol. These designs are so cursed btw. Thigh high boots, everything's ripped and the whole outfits probably take like hours to put on lol. Kinda cool but dumb.

I remember not being too happy with the game, though, and it took me until now to realize why.

Back then I only got 1 out of 5 good endings. Kent my beloved, no wonder I have fond memories of only him lol.

Going in again my main thoughts were "Shin's mean", "Toma's creepy and crazy", "Ikki's gross" and "don't care about Ukyo" buuuuuut

I still think Shin's mean, but now I kinda get it. He also softened in the good ending so I'll let it slide, but his constant boundary crossing makes him a bit iffy. And, unsurprisingly, I love his voice. Tetsuya Kakihara might always sound the same but eugh I love him anyway.

Toma freaks me out, can't trust him on any route. He literally puts MC in a dog cage cuz he's too overprotective. It's resolved in the good ending, but it's crazy enough for me to not be able to get over it. He's also a freak on Shin's route. Some might be into the yandere stuff but eh, not my thing.

I wanted to quickly get through Ikki's route before going for main man Kent, but turns out I actually really liked Ikki. Kinda worried that he might end up being my fav lol, I'm a sucker for the "playboy actually falls in love" stuff lol. Positively surprised.

Can't wait for Kent next time. I think he was a silly little math nerd who blushed a lot. Iirc he makes the player actually solve math problems lol. That's the way to my heart apparently xD Oh, I like his voice too, Akira Ishida. Not one of my favs but still.

Had to stop for tonight before starting Kent's route, and I finally unlocked Ukyo's, too. He seems like the meta guy (like Seven/707 in Mystic Messenger) and he pops in on every route talking about how "you probably don't remember me but be careful" and sometimes goes a bit crazy but I'm definitely interested to see how his good ending goes. Probably gonna end with me crying and wanting to hug him to make things better lol

Might even go for some of the bad and normal endings afterwards, who knows. Gonna ruin all the good vibes immediately xD

Anyway I don't think anyone's gonna read this but hey, it's there for those who might go through the game's tag soooo suffer!
