The only thing ineffable bureaucracy showed me is how hyper focused this fanbase is at seeing one thing and one thing only and everything else is a result of that one thing
1) no, Beelzebub and Gabriel are not a straight couple. Nor is Crowley and Aziraphale a gay couple. Stop the non-binary erasure or go outside and talk to an actual non-binary person cuz clearly you have no clue what non-binary is "they're straight presenting" wtf? If you think that please give me your name so I can block you. Cis people, I fucking swear.
Reminder that Beelz used they/them pronouns btw. Sorry that Beelzebub doesn't "pass" for you, it doesn't make them any less non-binary. Not to mention it was stated and already IS CANON that none of them have genders. They're god damn demons and angels, bruh.
2) "it's Gabriel's and Beelz's fault that ineffable husbands didn't get their happy ending": no. It's their own damn fault for not communicating and Aziraphale's inability to accept Crowley as he is. Gabriel and Beelzebub put each other first. Y'all sound salty as hell cuz two people managed to work their relationship out and yours didn't work out. "But if they didn't get together---" y'all really saying shit like this??? Do you hear yourself? That's so sad. Wishing for the doom of one LGBTQ+ ship cuz the other fucked themselves over. THEY CAN BOTH CO-EXIST. And you know what? They will. Cuz Ineffable husbands is clearly canon, the story just wants time with them cuz they're the main characters, not like Beelz and Gabriel who were side characters so had their story summarized.
3) "that should have been ineffable husbands" no, cuz Crowley and Aziraphale aren't Gabriel and Beelzebub. They're different characters with different backgrounds, personalities, relationship structure, and different relationship dynamic in general. They'll get together in a way that fits THEM. And that way requires ups and downs that makes them finally understand that they're perfect for each other without the need for either of them to change.
4) Gabriel was such an asshole wish Crowley got his revenge and--- bla bla BLA : Crowley was happy for them. You hold a grudge over Gabriel that Crowley himself doesn't. Y'all worse than a literal demon. Smh.
Be happy for what we got and look forward to the future where ineffable husbands will certainly become canon and it'll be worth the wait. Don't tear down the LGBTQ+ presentation we got just cuz the main ship didn't get the limelight THIS TIME.
Let things cook, that's how writing WORKS.
But I'm just an Agender demi person and tbh? I would prefer if things took their time.
I love both ships a lot but I'm not gonna hold pitchforks over one ship getting a happy end and one still developing. Come next season, that happy end for Gaberiel and Beelzebub might not last. We DONT KNOW. Do we really need to sacrifice one for the other? Why can't we be happy to have both?
Just really think the vibe of the fanbase rn fuckin SUCKS and I'm not enjoying trying to go through the ineffable bureaucracy tag and seeing people complaining about how it should have been ineffable husbands or how it's their fault.
Okay? Alright.
After this imma start blocking ppl I swear. Just had to throw in my two cents.

Things I Hope For in Season 2:
Huskerdust - I heard Vivzie is hoping for at least 3 seasons and while I enjoy a slow burn, I also don't want them to get together at the very last minute. I want a chance to have a season of them being together before we say goodbye. So if we are gonna get 3 seasons then can they get together in season 2, please?
Velvette - She's in my top fav so I hope we get a chance to learn more about her since she's still pretty mysterious compared to the other Vees.
The Vees - I really want them to have a genuine familial and caring relationship. Someone else said it better but in general I just want them to be god awful selfish people who care only about themselves and each other and nothing and no one else.
Valentino Break Down - I'm sure you've seen that TikTok. The one with that song I can't remember the name of where Val is losing it over Angel breaking free. I want this! I want a whole song number of Val just having a massive tantrum when he realises Angel is steadily escaping him.
Flashbacks - I've heard this is apparently actually going to be a thing. I'm looking forward to whatever it is but if I was being greedy, I want flashbacks both of their human lives and of when they first ended up in hell.
Niffty Explanation - I still stand by that I both am terrified and in love with this character. But more than anything I'm curious about her so I would love to learn what her deal is!
Chaggie Date - This is kind of a filler episode idea. I have the highest of hopes that now the show has done so well, they'll give it more episodes and maybe we can get some filler type episodes. One of which should include Chaggie having a date! I don't care what whacky scenario follows, I just want to see them being cute and cuddly!
Angel's family - I really hope we see more of his family. I also hope that Molly has a chance to somehow interact with her brother. And, to be evil, I also hope that Arackniss is a bastard and we get some angst with him and Angel because I heard (no idea if it's true or just gossip) that Angel's family was mostly homophobic. I mostly want angst because I then want it to be followed by comfort from the rest of the hotel.
Fat Nuggets Origin - Either a flashback of even just Angel telling someone about how he got Fat Nuggets. I know Val gave him to Angel, but I am curious as to how it came about. Was it when Val was pretending to not be an asshole, or was it an "apology" for being a dick or what? I need to know!
More Overlords - I'd love to see more of the Overlords who didn't really get much screen time in Season 1. Like the T-Rex looking one whose name I'm not sure because I've seen multiple ones for her...
Lilith and Lucifer Reunite - Vivzie has managed to make me love this couple despite never actually seeing them together. Just the way she describes them as a corny sweet romance, I desperately want to see these two together. I want to see the corny sweet romance between them! (And you know, figure out what's going on with Lilith and answer all the questions and blah blah blah, give me the romance!)
Lucifer Vs Alastor - I love these two together. I need more of them pissing each other off. I have been spoiled with fancontent and now I need something canon.
Cherri - I want more of her in general! But I also really, really, really hope we see a softer side of her. I pretty much originally fell for her because of the Addicts music video, seeing her stand up for and look after Angel when he was at a low point. And while I still love her being the good intentioned bad influence that she was in her episode, I do want to see that side of her again.

Well well well, look who's having a real day off for the first time in six thousand years! I'm gonna write because that's what my soul needs! It's time for Audio Drama Sunday! Here's some shows I enjoyed this week...
♟️ @camlannpod first of all. I called it. Second of all. How DARE you. The discussions about names and power in this episode were fascinating and...I don't know, I love a hero who's devastatingly normal. Gwen/Shujun can make anything happen with her words, is the damsel in distress, but she's just normal. Perry is normal, Morgan is normal, and Dai might not be normal by neurotypical measures, but he's just some guy. Except that he's really not. And the group of them can either embrace it or suffer.
🧃There is never a week when @thesiltverses doesn't go all the way off, and this one went ALL the way off. We have to talk about Shrue having a whole breakdown and then moving forward anyway. Felix, Ray, and Daisy were amazing, but I also have to give all the flowers to Rhys Lawton, who I met recently and was an utterly terrible villain in this episode. Corporate horror. Who knew? (Anyone who works in corporate knew.)
🐗 The season finale of @victoriocity was funny and amazing and incredibly well done as always, but the stand-out moments are the moments of friendship between Clara and Fleet. I just. I love them your honor. They are best friends. Do not separate them. It's really good to see Fleet cracking open a little bit. Just a little. He's still Fleet, after all.
🍦I listened to the new Among the Stars and Bones on the way home from work and it was absolutely chilling. My word. The number of times I screamed. Oliver Smith was incredibly scary even in the midst of the horror, Jordan Cobb is always a treat, and my word, the crowd of Nabonidas crew members...Hey, Chris Magilton, writer of Among the Stars and Bones, what the hap is heckening???
1️⃣3️⃣ I've started listening to Thirteen! I love a horror anthology, but especially one with a central theme. So far most of the stories present you with a protagonist who is missing closure, and a creature who offers it, for a price. Thirteen is about grief. The stories are rhythmic and spooky, and at one point alone in my house I actually really scared myself listening. Check out Thirteen, it's a treat.
⛽️ In other shows I've started listening to, @desertskiespodcast is gorgeous and lovely and...the only word I can think of is effervescent. It's like a cold soda on a road trip. It's maybe just what I needed. My favorite part is definitely the cold opens, especially the one about Cash laughing. Jared Carter has incredible comedic timing.
In Inn Between news, we just posted 5.8: The Blood, which might be my favorite episode of the season, depending on how the next one turns out. In The Dead news, this next story is a HUMDINGER. Did you cry at Giancarlo in the last story? GOOD, now it's time to run for your life through London. Y'all are gonna love this.
Catch y'all next week or whenever I have time to write again! If you like what all this is, maybe drop me a tip?

season 5 episode 3 of camp camp was amazing, actually
okay so i didn't really like season 5 episode 1, and episode 2 while better, was pretty mediocre to me. Nothing funny, nothing that really moved character interactions forward (besides the slip that david is upset gwen isn't a counselor), some stuff that felt out of character (david doesn't seem the type to worry if he's a good counselor or not so much as worry about literally anything else), and some stuff that was supposed to be funny but was actually unfunny and out of character (the campers choosing to try to open the freezer before even letting anyone know about the cave in). It really was just okay, and only that good bc i love anxious!david
episode 3, however, was absolutely wonderful.
on one hand, you have some of the greatest jokes of the series (david switching over to word associations after explaining exactly nothing, the cut back to the boys where david is taking notes on something nurf is saying, nerris immediately thinking someone born in 1985 must be dead now) (though i'm not exactly a fan of the implication that cj is a child predator being played as a joke).
On the other hand, you have honestly one of the best portrayals of what its like being a tween/young teen girl in media.
ered doesn't know what she's doing, and feels unprepared by her two dads to become a woman, so she goes to gwen to ask for advice, who she thinks is a cool adult woman but is also just so happy to be thought of as cool that she's not even sure what she's agreeing to do. ered asks all the questions she hasn't been able to ask, and gwen realizes quickly she doesn't have all the answers, but still fakes it anyway.
nerris goes off and finds the diary of a kid named jessie, and as they read it they feels seen in a way they never have before. they read more and falls in love with jessie, only to realize that jessie was a kid in 1985, and concludes jessie must be dead by now.
nikki ends up at a spa, and tries new "girly" things, that she previously derided, and finds them enjoyable. once she sees the sum of all the ways she's changed herself, she panics, and realizes she's looking like what she used to hate. how can she still be herself if she's enjoying this?
nikki and nerris go running to ered and gwen for advice, and gwen says "goddammit". ered, realizing that gwen doesn't know anything either, takes helping the younger two on her own. she tells nerris that feeling lost and unsure doesn't mean you're alone, that we've all felt that way. she tells nikki that while its okay to question who she is sometimes, she can be whoever she wants to be and the questioning doesn't make her any less herself.
and it's just chef's kiss. nerris getting a first(?) queer love and realizing it's not gonna happen and not knowing how to handle the heartbreak because it's their first time experiencing it. nikki exploring femininity and realizing it can be enjoyable, even if its not what she usually does, just for her own sake. ered realizing older women don't have it figured out either, and even if she doesn't know everything, she's still gonna step up and help the younger two out. i just love it.
it's literally what becoming an older girl/enby is like. trying to figure it out, helping others try to figure it out, realizing those older than you haven't figured it out either.

Invading your ask box!
I suck at coming up with questions and also I'm curious of everyone's answers, so in light of manifesting season 7, what are your hopes for when we hopefully get a full season 7?
Go as wild and unrealistic as you want!
Oh boy, this is tough 😂 but thank you so much for asking! I’ve missed being on tumblr and this was so nice to see in my inbox last night 🥰
Well, we might not know what the rest of season 6 will bring but if it doesn’t come up in any of the other six episodes, I’d love to have Lucy and Tim talk about officially moving in together and then actually doing so. I know they’re practically living together already, but I’d love for them to maybe get their own new place together? Get a whole new apartment/house that’s theirs. Honestly, just gimme all the cutesy domestic moments they can fit in because I’m a sucker for that - what else is new? But also, please let them keep working on properly communicating with one another even if it’s hard because no relationship can survive without good communication.
And, you know, if they're feeling like it, I would also not say no to a proposal.
I WANNA KNOW BABY GIRL EVERS’ NAME FFS. Obviously I’m most invested in Chenford, but it’s driving me insane that we’re 4 eps in, and still don’t know her name. Speaking of kids, I’d love to see more of all the kids Lopez and Harper have. Get rid of some of the unnecessary Bailan domesticity crap and gimme any of the other couples instead.
Speaking of Bailey.. I’m not a hater, also not exactly a fan, but can we get her in a storyline that doesn’t involve Nolan in some way? I think if she were to interact more with the other characters, we as the audience could potentially get more involved with her character. She’s basically tied to Nolan, and sometimes it feels like a disservice to everyone (including Jenna as an actress) to limit her interactions to basically just him and quick two-sentence exchanges thrown in every 20 eps like with Lucy in 6x04.
I know it’ll never happen, but I would love to see Chenford babysitting either Jack and his baby sister or baby Leah because we know they’d just.. well, maybe not suck at it but they’d likely struggle and lose a kid or two lol and it’d just be so much fun to watch.
I also gotta broach the sensitive topic.. I’ve been hoping for Lucy to do a long-term UC op practically since I started watching the show and even more so since Chenford became canon simply because I want to see how she would handle not being able to contact anyone she cares about. Give her a handler that’s not Tim, not Harper, not anyone she’s familiar with so she can experience what it would be like to be completely cut off from her life and the people she loves. Maybe I’m understanding her desire to be a deep cover UC officer and she’d flourish under those circumstances, but I think if she experienced an op without any of her friends (or her boyfriend) as her handler/back up, she’d have a better idea of what her life would really look like if she chose that path. She’s a people person, and I personally don’t think she’d like it as much as I think she wants to like it. (6x02 hinted at her not being as fine about it as she claims to be, and I hope we get to see more of the topic.) If not that, I’d also just like to see an op gone wrong. They’ve all been fairly straight forward without any kind of consequences even after her cover had been blown, and I’d be very interested in seeing something just not go as smoothly. Also, Lucy could do ANY job within the LAPD and absolutely kick ass. Where are all the departments wanting her on their team that the cop offering her that spot at UC school talked about?? Where?! WHERE?!?
I’m rambling now, great. Okay, I’m gonna stop here. I may have missed some obvious wishes here but for now these are some I could think of right off the bat.
Oh oh oh! Lucy’s called Tim babe before, can we get Tim calling Lucy by a pet name? Pretty pleaseeeee 🥺 and last but not least, give us Kojo back. And bring Genny.
Now I’m done. Thank you so much for thinking of me, Suz! ❤︎ This was so much fun!

From the last anon - I could go on and on about how much I just don’t get bylers who like mike when he’s canonically done stupid shit and still don’t really know the reasons. Put away all your little theories away for a second and think about it, he’s literally not a good person. The way he treats el and Will are just a testament look at the stank faces he pulled at Lucus’s game, he wasn’t just being annoying he was showing how he doesn’t know how to be a good friend. I think his character arc should be completed with him learning how to be a better friend to everyone around him maybe then would I be interested in him. Maybe then he could apologize to hopper for whatever season 3 was where he was being disrespectful for no reason.
What I’ll give Mike is him helping Joyce with the whole possession thing in s2 at least he was trying to be helpful to the plot. Season 4 he really didn’t do anything but sit there and yell at will make a weird attempt of apologizing to him, sit in a van acting oblivious to Will pouring his literal heart out then going back to el and saying the most cringe monologue in that entire show. That’s not someone I’m gonna really like or tune in to especially since they killed his character development he’s not developing.
So yes this happens to be the el show and the Will show the hopper show and the Joyce show I’m gonna say core 4.
and i'm gonna say you sound dumb as hell why are you camping in my ask box when you clearly know i'm just going to keep calling you stupid?
i don't even know where i could start to tell you you're wrong here this is just a complete disaster statement
you're baffled that people are interested in a character who's agency and reasoning is unclear? or a character that had good and bad moments? have you ever been in a fandom? one of the main reasons Mike is so interesting to me personally IS the fact that his pov is purposefully left unclear. having engaging characters that aren't laid out to you with all cards on the table while offering enough content so you can guess what's going on is always going to draw people in. that's also the reason why Will's involvement with the UD works so well, that hasn't been explained yet either and people are looking forward to it in s5. i really don't understand how the concept of being invested in something that's open ended is making you this upset
no one is forcing you to start liking Mike anonie, i promise it's going to be okay, maybe the reason you're so upset is because you're engaging with blogs that Do care about his character? have you considered that before?
also since you apparently think the show is simultaneously the El Will Joyce and Hopper show i'm assuming you Know that it's an ensemble show and there's multiple main character (sadly for you that just happens to include Mike as well based on the narrative itself and on what all the actors and writers have said until now but oh well)
also also are there actually people that think Mike should apologize to Hopper for some reason??? he was being annoying and smug in s3 that's the most forgivable teenage behaviour why should he apologize? Hopper is a cop and full grown adult and directly threatened Mike in a car because he sucked so bad at talking. i don't know what to tell you, might just be the evil Mike sympathizer in me talking, but i feel like the adult responding to an annoying teenager by being threatening because he can't think of anything else to do doesn't deserve an apology here💀

ALL OF THEM FOR EIF YA BITCH
Tumblr media
first of all, how rude.
What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?
His resilience. Eifra is constantly seen as an easy target, and physically, he's not particularly strong, but he's endured a lot and has the ability to bounce back from just about anything.
What is your OC's fatal flaw? Are they aware of this flaw?
His kindness. It's the one thing he's most taken advantage for. He's aware of it, and people constantly warn him, but I don't think even he would choose to be different.
When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?
All of the above lmao. Depends on the threat. He does naturally frighten easily, but he's also a very seasoned hunter. Even if he's afraid, he has the ability to temper his nerves to withstand a fight, but if he knows it's a fight he'll lose, he'll happily flee.
How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want?
Eif would never endanger others, but he would put himself through a world of pain if he thought it would help someone he loves. Again, all depends on the context.
How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?
Not... easily. He would have to be put in a very precarious position, to know it was his only option, or if someone's life depended on it. But he's also not so much of a goodie two shoes that his moral compass is swung so far to one side.
What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?
Ah, this is a fun question. I think I mentioned before I actually intended for Eifra's PoV to only exist as an introduction to Zeh's. But instead he became pretty much the defacto protagonist and narrator for the sequel. I didn't expect to love Eifra as much as I did, and I got attached to him, both as a writer, but also through Zehel. In the same way that I fell in love with Yeryn's romance, Zehel and Eifra's relationship *is* the main dynamic of Arcaen'vel. Eifra is Zehel's crux. He's his driving force and he pushes both the plot and Zehel's character development forward. I went in thinking Zehel would be the main character in what I thought was his own story, but Eifra really had another plan (though I'm sure if I explained it that way to him, he'd disagree and hold Zeh's pedestal that much higher lmao). The two share the spotlight in different ways. But if you asked me like three years ago if I thought the successor to Yeryn's line would be some random hybrid kiddo I'd have slapped your face.
Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?
NO lmfao. Eifra would never just commit murder. But he certainly wouldn't have the braincells to get out of it if he did.
Do you have a specific lyric or quote which you associate with your OC?
Yes! Zehel's theme for Eifra is "A Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay, and I can literally not listen to this song without thinking of him. "Cuz you get lighter the more it gets dark, I'm gonna give you my heart."
What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC?
Tbh, I think Eif would work in any AU, but I'll have to choose the most boring and say I'd love to see him in a modern storyline with Zeh. Just because Eifra adapts so well to our timeline.
What is your OC's weapon of choice? Have they ever actually used it?
Bow and arrow. He can hunt well regardless, but his arrows are also the only way he can channel dragonfire. It's the only defense he has, not having been born with arcane magic.
Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways?
Yes, and no. I think he sometimes gives too much of himself away, but I wouldn't say he's actively tearing himself down. But he'd be willing to let people walk all over him if it'd make them happy and that's not a particularly healthy way to live, either.
If you met your OC, would the two of you get along?
Probably LOL. I mean he's a much MUCH better person than me, but his self-deprecating humor is so relatable. He's a really uplifting person, which is actually the type of person I most enjoy being around, but he does lack the petty shittalk side I require my friendships to have so that I may thrive lmao.
How does your OC want to be seen by other characters?
I don't think he much cares how other perceive him, but I think he'd like his friends to see him as reliable. Someone that can be depended on, even when things get difficult.
Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?
We all know I don't do real human face claims, but I do have an artwork I pinned ages ago that encapsulates his vibes down to his stature and dress style, the only thing off about it is the hair, otherwise really spot on: here.
What is your OC's pain tolerance like?
Surprisingly high. Eifra has been through... shit. And he's conditioned himself for things most people have never had to. He's been forced to survive most of his life, and I think that gives someone a lot of internal strength. He also has an incredibly good hold of his mental. In a situation where he knew he'd have to endure something to save someone, he wouldn't even miss a beat.
Is your OC more cold and detached or up close and personal?
He's very personable, but honestly he understands people wanting space. He gets attached to Zehel so easily because he feels like he owes him his life (he kind of does lmao), so it's a bit of specific situation. Normally, Eifra is the type to only approach if asked, but he'd always be able to reply. He's incredibly charismatic.
How does your OC behave when enraged?
I think Eifra has only been truly angry a handful of times in his life. Only once severe enough to have some physical repercussion. Usually he lets things slide off him, and doesn't get caught up on negative feelings.
Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?
Unsurprisingly not at all lmao.
Does your OC have any illnesses or disorders? How do they handle it?
Neither, but I suppose in the context of their world, he's sort of "broken". He's half elf, half dragon, but he was born magicless, and his wings never developed properly. He's also not able to shift into dragonform, which is usually something that gets bred out over many generations. As he's a "first generation" mix, this is exceedingly odd. He's the only known halflyn to have one dragon parent and not be able to shapeshift.
What character alignment would you consider your OC to be?
Lawful/Neutral Good
What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?
Desire. Eifra has an incredibly difficult time asking for anything, even if he needs those things to actually survive. He feels embarrassed and burdensome to ask favors of others, and hates to be indebted to them. He constantly sees himself as a weight holding back his friends, and would rather starve than to ask for money for food or anything similar.
What is your favorite thing about your OC?
His tenacity. Eifra is such a hard person to keep down, and even though I find these people really annoying irl, I think in stories, juxtaposed characters like Zeh, they become so much more likeable, and important. I think Eifra has a lot of qualities I gravitate to, but being in Zehel's head for almost four-hundred pages, my love and violent need to throw my life on line to protect Eif at all costs is so deeply engrained in me LOL. Zehel really following in Daddy's footsteps by being the world's second biggest simp, only in his case it exists within a platonic friendship, and honestly, I think it's the most fitting storyline I could have written for him.

Thoughts from watching the ATLA live action!
I initially wanted this to all be one post but. It got too long and also Tumblr accidentally posted it once instead of just drafting as I asked while I was writing it and I had to reconstruct the whole thing so I'm just going to make one post per episode I think.
So, episode 1!
Oh my god the show really opens on just showing the letters "Capital City", genuinely that's kind of hilarious?? I kinda always thought of it as Caldera City collectively because Capital City sounds dumb (very The Hunger Games of them, ngl) but like... I do recognize that it's only technically the rich district- even so I feel like maybe they should've reimagined that one in particular because honestly it's always been confusing for the capital to have two cities in it (Harbor City is the other one, basically the poor people district). Anyway not a big deal overall, just... Kind of funny to not change this
Truly a weird way to start the show with just some random Earth Kingdom revolutionaries, but based on the fact that I've heard they're not in it I'm just headcanoning it to be Haru and Tyro lmao otherwise it's just. A truly bizarre choice
Oh never mind they're??? Opening before the war??? They literally have Ozai in the first season, why wouldn't they just have a menacing Sozin in a war room, with like maybe some very subtle hints to him grieving someone who died disagreeing with him, and him going forward with it anyway? Idk it's genuinely very strange to open a show with such iconic and recognizable characters by focusing on some random mostly irrelevant people you're never gonna see again because the story takes place a hunder years in the future. I mean, it was a cool fight scene (when I could see it lmao, I wish it wasn't so dark- would've looked great in a cinema but this should have been made for people watching on home screens) but?? Why should I care about these people or what they're doing, either as a veteran who knows they don't matter or as someone new to the story who DOESN'T know that they're never going to see them again?
Oh shit wait, AGAIN??? They keep zagging on me lmao this is like. Exactly what I wanted!! I read they started things off with a lot of fighting and showing the war so I thoght this was what it was but no!! The random guy meets non other than Sozin... Who genuinely looks incredible and does a fantastic job at portraying exactly what I wanted!! I think there's something in the eyes specifically? Like, there's a certain sadness mixed with idealism there, which works really well with how determined, calculating and cold he otherwise is. He feels 100% like the sort of guy who'd reasonably be the ancestor to the mess that is the Royal Family we see during the rest of the show, and I'm genuinely really happy about it! Sozin feels like the sort of madman who believes in his own just and it's perfect, like, the exact vibe I got from him in the original!
Is Gyatso talking to Bryke rn or...?? Lmao fr Aang never learned any of the things he mentions which is why he was a bad Avatar, and why in the end I don't like canon OG Aang. Addressing it in the first episode is extremely bold of the LA tbh, but you know I love to see it! Also everyone was talking about how Aang wasn't silly enough, but literally in the OG he was too silly and never learned to take responsibility or work with others so?? This Aang that is already blending a whimsical air with what seems like a degree of emotional intelligence the original lacked is!! Such an improvement in my eyes, actually! I'm hoping they manage to properly resolve these things this time around, but already their direction with him just within minutes of meeting him feels a lot more palatable to me. Also they rewrote that scene in a way that makes Gyatso infinitely more likeable because now he actually GETS it, OG Gyatso was a kind man but in the end... He was wrong, he coddled Aang too much. Here, in a universe where the Air nomads want to help defend the rest of the world, he recognizes that while Aang is needed, he genuinely isn't capable of helping yet which!! Also feels like an improvement in terms of co-nation relations, it feels like there actually used to be a harmony of sorts before! It will help make the Air Nomads feel less out of place and "out of sight out of mind" in the bad way they were in the original. The Air Nomads already planning to get involved also feels like a way to rid Aang of his idealistic and childhish views of his own culture in a much more direct way than the more subtle approach just showing Gyatso surrounded by skeletons of people he likely killed. Also, again, saw people complain aboit the Air Nomads wanting to get involved being ooc and?? Okay, so? Have you maybe considered that them being so insular that their loss was barely felt in the original whenever they didn't need to make Aang have an emotional moment was a bad thing??? Like, I get that it isn't in line with their characterization, but personally? Them choosing not to get involved in an attempted genocide was always a bad look tbh, and as far as I'm concerned, this is a fix and a way to make them look much better than just like. Hermits unconcerned with the world- they care, they want to help! Honestly overall everyone in the Air Nomads looks so much better here, this feels like a net good in terms of like... Idk Air Nomad publicity lmao. Also, showing the different temples coming together to celebrate is!! Incredible, I wholeheartedly love that addition to the lore!
Ngl tbh so far this feels like a fanfic I'd read, in like. Literally the best possible way
Yo the "Gyatso and Roku were friends" theory looking realll possible rn with that "you will always be my friend" line 👀
Ah so I see what people meant about Aang's characterization in this episode being a bit tell-y rather than show-y, that's fair. That said, it was a really nice scene that established the bond between him and Appa quite well imo! Also now I'm genuinely curious as to whether they'll have him get a bit drunk with power like in the original considering the focus they're putting on how much he needs to NOT do that!
To everyone saying Aang running away was important and should not have been cut- no, it fucking wasn't, it was one of his biggest unresolved character flaws that got ignored when the destroyed his character arc in season 3 and I'm fucking glad it's gone. I do find it interesting that here Aang basically only just finds out about being the Avatar before getting frozen rather than having a bit more time to get used to the idea and see how it changes things for him- it makes it that in a way, this Aang has both a lot more and a lot less baggage! Essentially his entire journey of discovery of what it means to be pronounced the Avatar will happen alongside people who never knew him as anything but, it's an extremely finite and dramatic closing of the chapter of his life where he wasn't the Avatar- it kinda shows he has no room for confusion anymore, he must now become The Avatar because that's essentially his people's last request of him. It's a very different sort of vibe from "I wasn't willing", it's "I wasn't ready", and that is much more easily fixable in a shorter show! Also the og literally just "solved" the willingness issue by having him enjoy the benefits and refuse to do any of the work so. Not sad to see it go at all
Battlefield Sozin?! Firebending rockets?! Wilhelm scream?! Cool battle scene all around tbh, really heartbreakin and difficult to watch, which means they did a good job with it! I do still wish it was brighter though lmao
Uhh forgot to type anything for a while because I was crying but. Yeah I generally really liked the portrayal of life on Wolf Cove! There are definitely some very noticeable changes with our two leads here, and I actually don't think they're necessarily bad, they just feel very strange and might take a bit to get used to. Katara actually isn't passive, which is weird considering that's how a lot of people described her? She's just extremely cautious. All of her defining traits feel like they're still there, but some of them do feel like they're lying a bit under the surface due to her situation which! Makes sense as an alternative way of writing her! Sokka genuinely feels like such a big brother here, I like the emphasis on his sense of responsibility and how he doesn't quite know how to be a real leader yet- it goes very well with a Katara who desperately wants to be a fighter but can't and has to try and blend in. Both of them have very clear aspirations and the traits that will eventually allow them to get to where they want to be, but they're very far from reaching them at the start. A lot of the scenes do feels kinda awkward tbh, but idk, I think they do a fine enough job at what they attempt to.
Now, hearing that Katara wasn't the one to break Aang out in a fit of anger wasn't a deal breaker for me actually, but? Honestly the way he gets out is just needlessly confusing here, genuinely unclear if Katara did it or he just... Idk somehow reacted to another bender's presence or whatever. Idk, it felt extremely weird and I think just like? A bit of clarification here as to what happened could've saved this scene without it having to happen via anger if that's the way they wanna go with Katara, and specifically her relationship with Sokka (which, again, does really feel authentic and well done here imo!)
Aang saying that Katara is the only one who tried to fight for him is fucking wild, but I guess that's the impression he got given that Gyatso told him he had to go away and he didn't hear the meeting about him here. Still a wild thing for him to say, felt really weird right alongside Sokka being the bravest person he ever met. Idk that whole exchange was off and awkward and just... Strange
Iroh doing his best to help and teach Aang when he can is very sweet. Idk how to feel about how hard he's already going in on the whole "your daddy doesn't love you" thing with Zuko tbh, because it does make Zuko appear much less lost when he's got someone who's giving him the answers rather than leading him to them, it's kinda a book 2 vibe from them? It's strange. Also a straight talking Iroh feels so strange in general, literally his only "eccentric" quality so far is loving Jasmine tea and very clearly not being down with the war, it's... Certainly A Choice, but not one I'm really enjoying so far tbh
There's something really interesting about Katara immediately relaxing and allowing herself to be silly and mischievous around Sokka here, it's kind of a flip from their dynamic in the original but there's something really fun and sweet about seeing those hidden aspects of her come out around the one person she knows and trusts to accept and protect her just as fiercely as she would him. It's definitely different, but I'm genuinely really enjoying the unique spin they put on their relationship and how it correlates with their own individual personalities and how they perceive and present themselves.
Taking the burden of always being the only one who can bring Aang out of the Avatar State away from Katara feels like a big relief. Also in general I like the way they still kept Aang's attachment to Gyatso and his parallels with Katara, while also solidifying Sokka and Aang friendship which wasn't really... A thing in the original? Having Sokka protect and reach out to Aang feels much more personal here in a way than it did originally, I think maybe the weird scene where Aang praises them kinda worked to serve that? Idk I've read people saying they don't feel like a family but more like friends here but. They never did in the original in season 1 either tbh. If anything there's a sense of everyone being equal here which the original lacked in places, I like how both Sokka and Katara support and save Aang in equal measure here and how they look out for each other as well. Aang is kinda naturally a mess this whole episode but here's hoping he returns the favor for them for once in the future!
Edit: dammit Tumblr literally just did it again I didn't mean to post this yet, but I'm kind of at the end of the episode so fuck it, it stays I don't wanna reconstruct it in the drafts again. If I have anything to add it'll go after this.

Have you read Off Season, Monster Season, and Family Season? If so, how do you feel about them? Any expectations about the anime adaptations?
i read all of those! sodachi fiasco stood out the most to me in orokamono, i cannot wait for it to get animated. i'm so excited that it's going to be the first arc to get adapted. it's gonna be so different from what we're used to, it doesn't even take place at naoetsu, there's so many new characters SHAFT are going to have to actually design and animate. there's no going around it. and sodachi is just superb. i love her.
more thoughts under the cut for every book
the first arc i had read after the anime was suruga bonehead because i love ougi and kanbaru. i remember thinking it was too bad i was reading a translation. i'm sure it held up a lot better in japanese, i haven't read all of the novels that were already adapted into the anime but i can tell it's kind of ougi's gimmick that you have to solve it before they give the answer, the way you would with a detective novel. likewise i can't wait for that one to get animated, the wordplay eluded me (i think i understood at the time because it was translated well) but i think the anime will do a great job at conveying the creepiness of the arc. it felt more like a comedy centered around a morbid puzzle in the middle when i read it. also OUGI IN CASUAL CLOTHES and tooe full design reveal?!?!?
tsubasa sleeping was fun now that i think back on it. i loved that we got to see dramaturgy again. i had also been waiting for someone aside from koyomi to become a vampire so it was exciting when it happened, even if it was temporary.
i absolutely adore the princess beauty arc but i don't think that's a secret.
i don't particularily care for either karen ogre or tsukihi undo. tsukihi undo was pretty funny but i don't think it was very memorable aside from that.
nademonogatari was awesome. i was still at a point after watching the anime where i actually mildly disliked nadeko. from watching the anime adaptation i had thought she was not such a good character compared to the other heroines ; i liked when she snapped in otorimonogatari, but i'm especially averse to yandere stuff that happens right after, and i thought the twist about her being delusional and breaking into koyomi's house was not well-foreshadowed in the anime at all. no clue about the novel though. but well. it turns out that not only is nadeko fantastic as a narrator (she's my favorite narrator), but she also becomes a specialist. this was another one of those things i felt might happen to at least one of the kids and i was so excited about it, especially since i did not expect it to happen to nadeko of all people. this novel marked the biggest shift in her character so far and god knows she's already had a LOT of twists and turns. also, this book features many character interactions that we'd barely seen or even not seen at all before, and nadeko's relationships are always interesting (when they don't involve koyomi). as usual the core message was very uplifting, and this one felt very on the mark.
now onto musubimonogatari. this one was a bit odd. i thought the monster of the week gimmick was pretty fun, koyomi ending up as a cop was hilarious. unfortunately i did not find the characters he helps and investigates very interesting. but i really i enjoyed seeing what everyone grew up to be. so, a bit of a mixed bag, but i would say i rather liked it overall.
i really liked yoimonogatari. it started off super gruesome until you thought about it some more. the twist was predictable but even so i had fun looking forward to it. it was also very touching, i was moved by the little girl's monologue and description of her home life. as opposed to musubimonogatari, this novel got me to care about a character we won't see again. this one also has information about the specialists' curses, and more nadeko, which was exciting.
shinobumonogatari was whatever. it felt like a cheap rehashing of yoimonogatari (edit: i probably meant another one, since yoimonogatari came after). the puzzle-solving in this one felt off. there was no way a reader could've possibly reasoned that one out. even without the answer to the cryptogram it was still fairly obvious that the culprit was not DVS, it felt like the difficulty of the riddle completely mismatched the end result. i was glad we saw her again but i didn't like this one.
i enjoyed amarimonogatari. that shit was crazy. it took a different direction from what i thought it was gonna be about but i was still hooked by how insane that development was lol. also loved yotsugi in this.
i did not read shinomonogatari as there is currently no full translation since nobody likes it enough to pick it up lmao?? i screamed when i read that covid is canon though
did not enjoy ougimonogatari either but part of that i think is that the translation was to blame. polaris has released a translation of their own since then. i was not very interested in the subject matter/overall theme. it felt weird to be "hooked" by the mention of sexual violence (something that was already explored as early as in hitagi crab) only for it to turn out to be something along the lines of "oh no i didn't mind so i wasn't getting raped but the perpetrator keeps apologizing and saying he raped me". the entity itself was whatever. whatever!!! bonus points for ougi though, always a delight, but still not enough to make up for the overall score. i loved the second half about nadeko's new mission though but was left hanging (ok i was reading a digital version so maybe that's why i didn't see it coming).
ikusamonogatari was pretty boring in the first half. it picked up a little late for my taste. i still enjoyed reading it but most of it felt like fanservice fluff, this was intentional since this was the first release in a while by nisioisin standards. still, the ending was cute!
ok that's it for my detailed review of every novel lmao

CHAPTER 8 -
EVERY TIME WE TOUCH, I'M ALL SHOOK UP
Oct 16th, 2014
The tour has ended and everyone gets some much needed time off. You, Natalie, and Harry head back to L.A. The other boys go back to England and Ireland.
Harry insists you both stay at his house. He doesn't see any point in you getting caught in a lease, or spending money to stay somewhere for the month you have off. Natalie protests at first, saying she doesn't want to hear you two going at it every night. But she has actually (secretly) gotten close to Levi from the rooftop party, and he lives close by, so she finally agrees.
Things have happened so fast! You feel like you are living a dream. Since getting back to L.A. Harry has done everything he can to make the most of your time together. Of course, he's always being watched, so you two either go out with Natalie, Levi, and some other friends… or you sneak out late at night, taking midnight drives, and tucking away in private booths at restaurants. It's too difficult to do all the 'normal' things that couples do, but you are enjoying every minute of what you can get with him.
You don't actually know if you're a couple though. You have these secret little rendezvous, and enjoy spectacular sex as much as your bodies can handle, but you haven't actually talked about what this is to you both. You know Harry doesn't like labels much, and things are just good now that you don't make a fuss of it.
Like all dreams though, this part is sort of coming to an end. Harry is leaving tomorrow for London. He generously offered to have you stay at his place until you both rejoin the crew in London for interviews and book signing events.
Amelia has asked you two to help out during the tour "off season" because she loves how you two work and style. Sarah and Jade will join the team again once the next tour starts in February. You could tell that Sarah is a little resentful, but Jade is looking forward to being with her family again.
"You know, Sunshine, you could come with me…" Harry suggests as he packs his suitcase.
"No. You need to spend some time with family, and free from distractions," as you point to yourself.
"That's not gonna make a difference. I'll be thinking about you the whole time either way." He pulls you in towards him and places a kiss on your neck.
You let out a sigh. He's found a favorite spot to kiss that you both enjoy. He pulls you towards him as he sits on the bed, a mischievous smirk plastered on his face. "Can I have you just one more time?"
You immediately drop to your knees. "Or I can take you…" you offer as you bite your bottom lip. His mouth drops open a little at the thought and he quickly unbuttons his pants, picking himself up just a bit to take them off.
[You've really gotten so bold being with him]
You look at his briefs and frown. "Nope, off. Get 'em off." And he quickly complies.
He got hard fast and you can tell he is getting squirmy already. You're going to make him wait just a tiny bit, so you just sit back on your legs and stare at him, smirking.
"You tease! That's not nice" He whines.
"Oh! Did you want something?"
"Y/N, Sunshine, babe, please!" He begs.
You spit in your hand and start to stroke him, getting back up on your knees to grab his hair with your other hand and kiss his lips. He's propping himself up with one arm but brings the other to grab your own hair. His breathing is heavy. You know he is just yearning for your mouth to take him in, so you sit back down on your legs. You gently lick up his length and finish at the tip. You spit on top and then take him in your mouth as far as you can without gagging. You hold his base and match the rhythm, using your tongue to add pressure as you slide up.
"Fuck babe, you're too good at that!" He mumbles as you continue working him. He's always been so good to you, in and out of the bedroom, so you love when you get the opportunity to make him feel good too. You can feel how desperately he is trying to stay still. His excitement is exciting you, and you have to squeeze your own legs together to stay focused on him.
You slow down, but take him deeper and he throws his head back, moaning. He looks down at you and meets your eyes as you glance up at him.
"Safe?" He asks. You don't want to stop, so you nod and hum "mhmm" which makes him moan even more. He holds your head and you let him guide you up and down, as you try to fully take him in. You feel yourself start to gag, so you tap his thigh and he releases his hold. You quickly compose yourself and place your mouth back on him. "Can we do it a few more times, love?"
Once again, you hum "mhmm" against him and he instantly moans out, "fuck, fuck, fuck!" You fully take him and he hits the back of your throat. He howls. "One more?" His movements are getting erratic, so you take over the rhythm, getting him all the way into the back of your throat. He leans back on the bed with both elbows. You slide down deep again, and grab his thigh more intensely. "I'm- shit, I'm gonna come, love!" and suddenly releases into your mouth. You stay on him until he is coming down from his orgasm and starts to sit back up.
"You're too good to me, Sunshine." He grins, panting. "Your turn."
You shake your head. "This was like a goodbye gift to you, rockstar."
"No, that's not fair." He argues.
He grabs you and pulls you up onto his lap, finding your favorite spot on your neck. You exhale deeply.
You can't keep yourself from grinding on his lap. He grabs your waist and gently flips you over onto your back. He starts his kisses back on your neck and slowly makes his way down. He stays on your breasts, sucking on your nipple so good that you have to hold back from crying out. As he makes his way further down, you can't handle the yearning much longer.
He couldn't have been slower taking your pants and underwear off.
"Please, Harry, please-" You're interrupted by your own groans of impatience. "Please!" He moves his head back down to you and you can feel his warm breath between your thighs. "Please!" You beg one more time as your hips start to buck up. He holds them down, and his tongue glides over your center.
"Safe?" And you reply, "yes, please!" He hums against you.
With that, he slides his tongue in and then up to your clit, sucking on it ever so gently. "You're so wet! Shit!"
He runs two fingers along you and gently pushes them into you.
"Oh!!" You let out. He thrusts them in faster as he continues to suck at the top, focused solely on your pleasure.
"H- Harry, I'm already close! So close." Suddenly he stops, getting you back for your tease earlier.
You gasp out of frustration. "Oh, you're evil!" But as soon as he goes back to his position, every muscle in your body tenses and you unravel. He gently slides his fingers in and out until you're done, needing him to pull them out because it's way too sensitive.
You look down to him and as he sits up, he licks the two fingers that are covered in your juice.
Panting, you chuckle. He crawls up and hovers over you. His chest, the tattoos, and his dangling necklace could send you spinning again at any moment. [He's so beautiful, it's almost annoying]
"You want more or something?" You wink.
"Oh god I would love to, but I need to pack."
You pout.
He laughs. "You know… you came across so… not sure really… pure? But you're definitely not." He bites his lower lip.
"I have to perform well being with Harry Styles!" You try and joke.
He starts to frown. "Don't say that. There's no pressure, ever. And I want to be just Harry to you."
You reach up and place your hands on his cheeks. "I want to give my best to you, Harry." You smile, "not because I feel like I have to… because I want to!"
"You're too good to me." He shakes his head. "I'm about to pack you in my suitcase so I can take you with me."
He gives you three sweet kisses and heads to the bathroom to clean up.
[Whatever you two are, it feels like pure bliss]
~~~~~
Oct 28th, 2014
It's been a long twelve days. You and Natalie arrive in London and immediately meet up with Amelia to go over the schedule and what your duties will be. It's a lot different than the tour. You'll basically be picking everything on your own and just giving them a couple of options for shirts. It's definitely more responsibility on your part.
And now since you and Natalie are the only interns there, you'll be doing a lot more and working closer with Amelia, which you are excited about.
You basically get right to work. You pick a couple graphic t-shirts for Louis, plain shirts and a sweater for Niall, and find a muted purple button up shirt with a subtle black floral design for Harry. You're hoping you can encourage him a little to make those bold choices he liked so much before.
You get to your hotel room and flop down on your bed. Jet lag is getting the best of you. You hear a knock on the door and figure Natalie forgot her room key.
You were wrong. There stands your Harry.
[Woah, pump the brakes on that one].
"Oh my god, it's Harry Styles!" You sarcastically fan your face. "I'm freaking out!"
He instantly pushes his way in, picking you up, and kissing you as if his lips had been dying without yours.
"I missed you Sunshine." He confesses, as he puts you back down and holds your face as he gives you one more soft kiss. "Want to do something today?"
"Nap."
"No…" he whines.
"I'm beat. My eyes can barely stay open while you are standing in front of me. That should tell you something."
He giggles.
"Where's Nat? Can I nap with you?" He smiles.
"She's shopping with Amelia. So, yes please!"
"Okay, but you've got to get used to the time change. So an hour tops and then we go do something, m'kay?"
"Deal." You both get under the covers and you lay on his chest. It feels so right. You've missed this.
You're so comfortable you fall asleep almost immediately.
~~~~~
Harry's alarm goes off and you let out an irritated growl. He leans over to you and kisses all over your face until you open your eyes. "How are you so annoying and so adorable at the same time?" You snicker.
"It's a gift. And you love it. Now get up! I want to take you somewhere!" He sounds very excited.
"Dressy or casual? Please say casual." You ask.
"Casual."
You roll out of the bed and throw on some jeans and a crop top, with an open zipper hoodie.
"Where could we possibly go where you won't be followed?" You ask.
"I have ways, love." He winks.
~~~~~
One of the security cars takes you down some back alleys and you cannot even fathom where you are going.
"Are you going to kill me Harry Styles? I would've dressed up for the day I die! I'm a stylist for goodness sake!"
He shakes his head and laughs.
The car suddenly pulls up to the back door of some little establishment. Harry knocks on the door. "Yeah, this is definitely some kind of mob shit" you whisper.
A cute old lady opens the door and smiles, letting you both in. The most amazingly sweet smell hits you instantly and you can tell that you are in a bakery. Harry turns around to see your face as you get to the front. There is a table set up with two chairs and the cutest little vase of flowers. You notice that no one else is in there, and the sign on the door says 'closed' with the shutters closed.
"What is this?"
"We are going to try as many mini desserts as we can manage." He grins.
Your heart beats faster than it ever has. "You… you did this for me?"
"Of course Sunshine. Your first time to London needs to be memorable."
"It's too much. I would've remembered it either way. But this is so wonderful!" You are beaming.
[Who does this? You may not have a label on it, but you know this thing you two have is something special]
~~~~~
Oct 29th, 2014
You wake up excited to see how today is going to go, since you haven't had to style for anything other than the tour.
You meet with Amelia, Natalie, and a few assistants in the hotel lobby and are shuttled over to a 'secret location' where all the interviews will take place.
There are basically three rooms you'll be working in. The first is the obvious place you'd be… the changing room. It doesn't take long to set it up.
Then there were two rooms set up for the interviews- with couches, lights, fake plants, cameras, a giant poster of the Four album cover, etc. They looked awesome.
You set up the boys' outfits when Harry sneaks in, hugs you from behind, and gives you a quick peck on the cheek.
"Hey Sunshine." He cautiously steps back, just in case someone walks in, but he bites his lip when you turn around to face him.
You smile and shake your head, "get it together please Mr. Styles."
"It's difficult when there's this beautiful girl running around here. Have you seen her? Gorgeous." He winks, "She keeps trying to undress me!" He drops his jaw pretending to be shocked.
You laugh loudly.
"Alright there rockstar, here's your shirt, get changed."
"See what I mean? She's persistent."
He's still so close, you can feel his breath. You love the way he towers over you in the most comfortable, secure, and sexy way.
Suddenly Niall bursts through the doorway. "Oh geez you two!"
Harry growls, "do you ever bloody knock, mate?"
"Nope! Someone's gotta cool you two down." He laughs.
You're kind of glad someone knows. It's hard to keep this thing, whatever it is, a complete secret. Niall and Natalie are the only ones who know.
Harry puts the shirt on and looks down, studying it for a minute. "Why this one?" He asks.
You shrug. "I like the subtle color and design. And I like you in styles that are a little bolder than normal."
"Then it's perfect." He winks.
"Yeah…" you look it over, "too many buttons used though."
"There she is again! I swear she just wants me naked." He smiles.
~~~~~
You are in the room where Harry and Liam will be interviewing and Natalie is with Niall, Louis, and Zayn. You watch one where the interviewer creates a question game called 'Fourplay'. You try so hard not to laugh when Harry gets squirmish after being asked what four things he sucks at, looking straight at you, and pretending to get up from the couch.
For the most part, they were all pretty fun to watch.
You were a bit thrown off during an interview they had with 4 Music though. When the interviewer started asking the questions, an assistant who was with him came up to you to ask some styling questions. Harry sees and gets quiet, staring at you whenever the guy is talking.
There's a break right afterwards to adjust mics, hair, and outfits. You walk up last to check over their clothes. When you bend down near Harry, he ever so slightly whispers to ask, "what the hell is going on over there?"
You have no idea what he's talking about and you give him a puzzled look.
"Talk later, love," he says as more interviewers walk in.
You walk back over to your little corner but hang back even further into the dark. [What the hell was he on about?]
~~~~~
When the day is finally over, you head back to the dressing room to pack it up. All that's left to do is get the guys changed back into their street clothes.
Natalie walks in a few minutes after you. "That was wild. Some of those interviewers are weird!"
You subtly laugh. "Yeah Harry and Liam played a game called 'Fourplay', it was… interesting."
One by one the guys come in to change, Harry coming in last. His head is hanging low and he let out a huge sigh. Natalie immediately walks out.
"Are you mad at me, love?" He asks.
"No. Why would I be?"
"Umm… you were watching and smiling the whole time but then you talked to that one guy through the entire segment and then stood in the back."
"What guy? Which segment?" The day is such a blur at this point.
"The guy, with the red sweater… came with the 4 Music crew…" he tries to remind you.
"Okay. Yeah. I don't get why that means I'm mad at you…"
"He was talking to you so much. You just looked very interested in what he was saying." He shrugs.
"Oh, I was definitely enjoying the conversation…" he starts to wince, but you stop him. "Because he asked me for fashion advice… for his boyfriend… whose birthday is next week. I liked being able to use what little expertise I have to help him." You lower and shake your head.
"Oh." He looks so embarrassed. "Shit. M'sorry, love. I just didn't like thinking he was flirting with you or something."
"Wha- like you were jealous?" You ask.
He has yet to look up at you, and he sighs. "Maybe, yeah."
You pull your lips to not giggle at his ridiculousness. "Hey rockstar," you walk over to him and put your hands on his shoulders. "Look at me Harry." You lift his chin. "You don't have to be jealous. Who would choose anyone over Harry Styles?" You try to joke to lighten the mood, but he frowns and you realize that it was a bad joke for a serious moment.
"Sorry. You don't have to be jealous. You're too good to me." That helps him start to smile. "And hot." You wink.
"Right back at you." He leans to kiss your forehead.
Just then, Liam walks in. "I knew it." He laughs.
[Well, that's three people that know now]
"Don't say anything dude." You plead.
"No worries darling. Secret's safe."
And then Natalie walks in. "Good god. Spend the night in his room if you're gonna be all lovey-dovey tonight." She looks at Liam and dramatically rolls her eyes.
"Wait, so I don't get to cuddle with you?" You joke.
Everyone laughs.
~~~~~
"Good morning Sunshine!" Harry says as he runs his fingers up and down your arm.
You hum out of happiness, eyes still closed. You love waking up next to him. This is a dream.
"Breakfast?"
"Yes please! But in one moment." You curl in closer to his chest, feeling his warmth and breathing in his smell. He wraps his arms tightly around you.
"What would you like?" Asking for your breakfast order.
"You!" You pull your head back, open your eyes, and meet those beautiful green ones that you could stare at forever.
[You're falling, hard and fast]
He chuckles and kisses your lips. "Dessert before breakfast, love?"
You kiss him back, grabbing the back of his neck to deepen it even further. He hums and wraps his arms tighter, letting one run over your waist, grabbing it and he scoots closer to press against you.
It doesn't take much for him to be turned on by you, and he is already rock hard. You grab over his briefs and use your palm for pressure as you move along him. He moans and moves his hand to grab your ass. You love that and let out your own moan. You push on his shoulders so he turns into his back as you move over to straddle him. He has the happiest grin on his face and grabs your hips. You lean down to kiss him again, moving your lips across his jawline, down his neck, and over his clavicle. He's starting to buck his hips up to feel you more. "Please Sunshine. I need to be inside of you!" He begs. You bring your lips back to his before you sit up.
"Safe?" You ask, and he nods. "Can I get on like this?" You ask, knowing he doesn't have a condom on.
He thinks for a second and nods, "I'll pull out," he mutters.
You get up on your knees and then lower yourself onto him. He moans loudly. It's the first time he's been inside you raw, and the sensation is so pleasurable for both of you.
"Oh fucking hell babe!" He grunts and throws his head back. "It feels so good to feel you like this!"
You let out a "mmm" as you place your hands on his chest and move faster on him. "I love it!"
His head snaps back up to look at you, and the dimples with his smirk pull in so deeply. "Say it again." He asks.
"What?"
"Say it again. Please." He begs.
"I love feeling you like this."
He can't help but thrust into you. You moan loudly.
"Can I take over, love? I can't hold back much longer." And you nod.
He thrusts deeply. "Fuck!" He gets deeper and faster, perfectly hitting your spot with every thrust. You sit back a bit more, your arms behind you, grabbing his thighs. It gets him even deeper. "Harry! Yes!" You're panting. "I'm getting close!"
"Me too babe!" He exhales. "I need you to go first." He grabs your hips tighter and holds you down as the thrusts in again. You throw your head back and let out a deep moan and instantly come undone.
"Thank you!" Harry whispers, and you laugh as you exhale. He thrusts in one more time. "I'm gonna-" You lean forward and he pulls out, relieving himself onto your stomach. You roll off and lay on your back next to him. You're both panting and giggling. He turns his head towards you and kisses your cheek.
"Let's get cleaned up and then order actual breakfast, yeah?" He chuckles. "I'm really hungry now!"
You laugh with him and nod.
"This was the best way to start to my day!" He adds.
Not sure if this has been asked, but if so then you're free to ignore this message. I was wondering if you could articulate why you like Aemond Targaryen as opposed to Daemon Targaryen. The latter seems to have more prominence in the story than the other.
I'm gonna go off the show, since that's what I'm currently more invested in when it comes to Dance stuff (I read all of F&B but the parts I reread the most are always about the Conquerors, as I love them).
So, part of it is that, quite simply, Daemon's a misogynistic ass and Aemond, as far as has been portrayed, isn't. I don't care for Daemon trying to groom his fourteen year old niece, I don't care for Daemon calling his wife misogynistic slurs when she didn't do anything except be married to him, I certainly don't care for him bashing her head in with a rock and getting away with it, I don't care for him trying to ruin Rhaenyra's reputation, I don't care for him then literally leaving her half naked in a brothel in a city notorious for being dangerous (she could have been raped, she could have been killed, the fact that she got back to the Red Keep without a scratch is a miracle), I don't care for him calling Alicent a whore because his half-rotting brother finally croaked, I don't care for his neglect of his children by Laena and even Laena herself (and I don't care for it in metaverse either, I really liked Daemon and Laena's book relationship and I hate how they screwed that AND how it's yet another example of how poorly the Velaryons, the only prominent characters of color, are being handled by the writers), and I definitely won't care for when he orchestrates Blood and Cheese to go after women who had fuck all to do with what happened to Lucerys's boring ass. He's a dick, which already isn't gonna endear me to him, and he's a sexist dick at that, and I don't like it.
Getting a bit deeper into it, my dislike of Daemon also comes from the fact that there's just nothing there. I've complained about this before, but everything that's actually interesting about Daemon seems to come primarily from stuff admitted about him after the fact or from Matt Smith's own acting choices beyond the script. In the actual writing of his character, he's an asshole and he wants to be king and he has a sexual obsession with his niece who he's known since she was a baby; that's it. It's left to the audience to then lean into Matt Smith's choices for the character, extrapolate what we can from creator interviews and some pretty heavy subtext, and then try to craft something ourselves. And even canon events about Daemon that I could get invested in, like his relationship with Nettles (problematic? yes, but it still tickles my fancy because there's a Lot there), just hasn't happened yet and isn't enough to get me pre-invested.
That's not the case with Aemond. The stuff about Aemond I enjoy and that endear me to him as a character, like his struggles with bullying, his bond with Vhagar, his contentious but ultimately loyal relationship with Aegon, his love for his mother, his internal issues surrounding justice denied and the need for retribution, even just his basic characterization in the four episodes we've seen him in, those are in the script. Those are integral parts of his character, that are present and visible and impactful to other characters and the story at large in the broader narrative. There is actual substance to Aemond as a character in a way there just isn't as Daemon. And even Daemon is going to be more "prominent" due to his connection to Rhaenyra, the storyline at the ready for Aemond is FAR more interesting than Daemon's. Daemon in season two is going to orchestrate the worst thing that happens in the Dance and then bounce around Westeros doing God knows what, the only thing I'm looking forward to from him are any interactions with Alys Rivers, but because I'm excited for her, not him. Aemond, on the other hand, has a lot of good set up. Because of his actions, he created an accident that he tried to avoid that has had profound repercussions on his family, and is tied to a horrible act that is going to affect the people closest to him. How is he going to deal with his emotions regarding his own culpability? How much hate and blame is he going to place on Daemon? On Rhaenyra? How will this impact his relationships with the people affected, his mother and his sister and his brother? How is this going to duel with his feelings of superiority, especially once he becomes Aegon's regent? What's gonna motivate him to take the regency but also never allow himself to be called king and remain steadfast for his brother? Is he going to enjoy it or not? We seem to be getting more stuff with him and Criston, how's that gonna be affected by Blood and Cheese and their subsequent military campaign together?
Like, see? There's so much more richness available for Aemond's character, because there's so much more to Aemond's character than Daemon's. Daemon may be more prominent, yes, but he's incredibly shallow on a writing level, and combined with the fact that he's mostly a shitty person, he becomes something I dislike (and I love characters who are shitty people, my favorite character in The Magnus Archives is Peter Lukas and I constantly blab about how I want his cruel sadism to be given more attention by the fandom). So prominence doesn't really factor into it for me, because there's just too much working against Daemon beyond that, and conversely, too much in Aemond's favor.
Feeling very down right now, just want to vent...
(Treating this like my old Livejournal since I don't really have anywhere else I can complain LMAO)
I've been out of work since August after completely running out of FMLA.
Between getting severe COVID in February and being out recovering for 6 weeks -- and then with Long COVID making the chronic fatigue and migraines I already had even worse -- I ended up missing so much work that I used all the time FMLA allowed before the year was even half over.
I'm living with my parents now and don't really have income except my savings; honestly most days I don't have the physical or mental spoons to even contemplate applying for even a part-time remote position yet. Thankfully I also have a retirement fund I am slowly cashing in, even if that also isn't really sustainable long-term. (But me losing my insurance will definitely be an issue soon when I run out of refills for my prescription meds...)
I'm aware that I've been pretty isolated since August; I've gotten maybe like two texts from former co-workers. I'm mostly asleep during the daytime and don't drive, so going out is hard. The person I consider my BFF is out of state and is busy with their own life. The only people I talk to most days are my Mom and Dad. (Admittedly, I am also pretty terrible about calling or texting people!) Tumblr has thus been the majority of my social interaction, for good or ill.
On top of all that, my birthday is this Friday and I always find myself depressed anyway this time of year. Like, it's probably half Seasonal Affective Disorder, and half a reminder that I'm a year older and having mixed feelings about where I am in life, IDK... But the current situation of *gestures vaguely at everything* isn't helping. So I am very blergh in general.
My parents and I had made vague plans a couple weeks ago that we could all go out for dinner on my actual birthday; nothing fancy, maybe the nearest sit-down Mexican restaurant. I was kinda looking forward to it. Mom just informed me that she is now unavailable after 5pm on my b-day itself since she offered to babysit kids for someone in their church that evening and night. We can't do it tomorrow night either, because Mom & Dad will be at a craft show from 4pm to 10pm.
And... it's fine, I guess. I'm disappointed but I'm an adult. I'm not gonna throw a tantrum or yell and cry or try to guilt her about it. She brought me flowers from the grocery store as a sort of peace offering and says we can still have cake or whatever. We'll probably do something on Saturday instead.
But EVERY YEAR, it's something. Last year, it was the cheesecake I asked for as a birthday cake getting dropped on the way into the house from the car; over half of it was smushed and then Dad stole the best remaining slice for himself. The two years before that, it was during the worst of the pandemic so I just had mediocre delivery food. I literally cannot remember the last birthday I really enjoyed in over a decade and half.
Another big source of anxiety right now -- we found out have 60 days to move since the leasing company is selling this house. So we have to find a new place, be packed and then move by January. Meanwhile home inspectors, realty agents and potential buyers are walking through while we're still living here, and it's super stressful. Words can't express how much I hate strangers being here any and all days of the week.
I guess I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself. I'm not trying to be whiny or woe-is-me, but my mental health right now is uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Not Great (tm) 😅. I do try hard to be positive but it just takes so much energy and I'm stressed and a little numb.
Not really sure how to end this. I just really needed to put it all in writing as a journal-type situation so that I don't end up crying in real life LOL.
Current Mood: burnt-out 😑
Current Music: HGTV playing in the background
Stefani has three sons with ex husband Gavin Rossdale.
Blake Shelton is looking forward to many more years with his wife, Gwen Stefani.
Speaking with ET's Cassie DiLaura from his new bar, Ole Red Las Vegas, on Wednesday, the 47-year-old country singer reflected on how much his life has changed over the last decade since he met Stefani, 54, during her freshman season as a coach on NBC's The Voice. At the time, she was just months out from welcoming her third child with Gavin Rossdale, whom she split from in 2015.
Looking back on the 10-year anniversary of their first meeting, Shelton said that while they didn't really talk much during her first season on The Voice as she had just given birth to Apollo, it didn't take long for their lives -- which were "falling apart," according to tabloids at the time -- to fall together.
"You would see her out at the red chairs if there was a production meeting or whatever and I feel like I got to know Pharrell [Williams] more that year than I did Gwen," he said of her first year. "It wasn't until the season she came back, the next one, that the pieces were falling together."
"If I could have a repeat of these past 10 years, [that] would be perfect," he said of what he hopes the future holds. "Next month, we've got an 18-year-old, which it blows my mind that already happened. And in a couple of years, we'll have another 18-year-old. And that's... it's gonna be I guess a lot more alone time, which I'm not mad about that either."
He added, "But we still have Apollo, so we have another almost 10 years before we can kick him out, so it should be a lot of fun."
As for whether or not Kingston, Zuma and Apollo have made him see things differently as a person, Shelton said they have changed him "in every possible way." While he has known the boys since 2014, the singer officially took on the title of stepdad in July 2021 when he and Stefani tied the knot, less than 12 months after he popped the question, which came five years into their relationship.
"I learned quickly, not because anything happened, but just, you know, reading the room, you’ve really got [to think], 'I have to take a step back,'" Shelton said of his mindset shift while stepping into the role of stepdad. "When people say it's not about you anymore when you have a kid... I think, if you're doing it right, it's not about you anymore. That's true."
The GRAMMY Award nominee has long been open about his commitment to raising Stefani's kids and embracing them as his own from the get-go. In a 2022 interview during the Country Radio Seminar, he pointed to his own father who raised his younger brother by marriage as his guiding light for how to approach the situation.
The relationship between Shelton and the boys is not a one-way street, though. He told ET that while they have certainly impacted how he sees the world, he has done the same thing for them, giving the teens a completely different perspective from that of their rockstar British dad and punk princess mother.
"I get to teach them the country, you know, and I love that," Shelton said. "Whether it's music, whether it's literally getting out, getting their hands in the dirt or being out on the ranch, seeing the animals, whatever, you know? I absolutely love being the person that gets to introduce them to that stuff."
As for how whether or not he still pinches himself at getting to wake up next to Stefani every day, Shelton said some things will never change and that includes being shocked by how fate played a hand in their love story.
Shelton continued, "If you would've told me the first season that we met that -- what was gonna happen, I would've been like, 'No, we actually don't even have anything to even talk about, you know? What are you talking about?' ... It's crazy how things work out."
Ted Lasso Season 3 Spoilers
Ya'll this season is so off to me. there are definitely lovely moments but so many storylines contain things that are just so out of character? Look I want Nate to have his redemption arc as much as the next gal, but where is all of this self confidence and kindness coming from? He wants to apologize to Ted in the elevator and then he won't even wave to Henry at the match? I get it Rupert intimidates him, but then why the hell would he invite him to his attempt at the diamond dogs if he knows Rupert wouldn't support that kind of vulnerability? And I get it healing isn't linear and you're gonna have backslide-y moments, but I don't really get what motivated Nate to start becoming a kinder/less self hating person in the first place. He's been nothing but rewarded for shitty behavior at West Ham. He doesn't seem to even be that sorry about what he did to Ted (and lets be real the entire team, that sign meant a hell of a lot to them). I just don't get it. It seems like he'd make that journey through love and encouragement of a supporting environment or to resist against a super toxic one, and Nate is somehow doing neither? Like how is he doing all this work without either a) recognizing Ruperts way of doing things is highly toxic and making a choice to not be like him b) Realizing that his own actions were very harmful and try to make amends c) receiving some other form of support that's helping him learn actual self love. And at least on screen none of those things have happened.
Then there's the whole thing with Jade, Who is this woman? It seems like we know nothing about her besides that she works for Taste of Athens and she doesn't care for Nate and suddenly one comment in defense of her workplace and she's his girlfriend? Suddenly she's swinging back and forth like a pendulum between that same cold aloofness as before and extreme warmth and understanding? I get that Nate has changed and that can be alluring, but I don't think we know enough about her to make that character development meaningful for *her* and not just for him. She is the only character I can think of that just feels like someone else's partner and not her own person. I'm not saying I need a whole Jade backstory, but she just doesn't even seem like a whole character. What is motivating her to go out with Nate all of a sudden? It's that question that makes that huge step forward for Nate feel hollow.
Then there's all these characters who I cannot figure out what their thematic value is. Shandy? She was introduced as this smart (if rough around the edges) friend of Keeley's and she turns out to be just a total psycho. For what purpose? what did Keeley learn? what did Shandy represent? To just not trust people? To not give people chances? Why spend so much time on that character just to tell a story that is just so not like this show. I do kinda get the point of Zava, you can't just win on one guys coattails, you have to learn to be a team, even though I think that story could've been way shorter. Then there's Jack, we're supposed to believe Keeley just doesn't know who gave her the money to start her business and then after finding out begins a relationship with that person? Especially this episode 8 there were so many moments where I was like Keeley for the love of god break up with this woman and then she just doesn't, despite Jack being so so so awful to her. It seems like we're giving Keeley so much more airtime just to tell the audience she's actually very incompetent, unconfident, and oblivious, despite the fact that the show has been telling us she's the exact opposite for two seasons. What is the fucking reason?
Even Ted has just been drifting for forever. I thought episode 6 was a turning point and he really got back into coaching, but now he's skipping practice and dinners with his son in order to stalk Michelle? What? I'd understand that behavior from season 1 or 2 Ted but Jesus we've got four episodes to clean all these storylines up and so far they've done nothing but create questions.
I just remember the first two seasons I felt like we were solving problems along the way, or at least laying the foundations for whatever growth needed to be done and I feel like we're 8 episodes in and the only direction we've moved is backward.
Like I said I still love this show, I loved the Amsterdam episode, I loved finally getting to meet Sam's dad in person, I love all of Jamie's amazing moments this season, I love that Bex is getting her little barbs in at Rupert, I love Beard and Henry's Hey Jude scene, I love Colin and Trent in Amsterdam (actually went to the homomonument yesterday because damn I love that scene so much, and my mom lives nearby) but they are not crafting this show the way they used to, and that makes me sad.
Afterparty check in! Only two episodes left… how you feeling?
Ah definitely a mixture of excitement and 'what am I gonna do with my Wednesdays when this show ends'.
I've had a lot of fun with this season because I watched the first season like a month ago, by myself in the span of a couple of days, and I didn't really pick up on any clues. Having the community around me for this season has both been really fun and very helpful; I wouldn't have any theories whatsoever without the Reddit and the fandom on here.
My main theory at the moment is that everyone looks so suspicious because a lot of them tried to kill Edgar, but only one person was actually successful in killing him. I've flip-flopped on the idea that Ulysses accidentally poisoned Edgar instead of Feng because Reddit's changed its mind about that now. After that, I'm kind of suspicious of Travis at the moment because of how much he wanted to sit in on the videos. Someone I've pretty much crossed off my list is Feng because- my friend made this pretty good point- if he was going to kill Edgar, why would he film it?
I'm fairly certain that, in the next episode, Isabel will accuse the wrong person and then the Vivan/Zoe episode will reveal who actually did kill Edgar. If my 'multiple attempts' theory is correct, I think it could be revealed in either of the episodes. With this theory, though, I must stress that I genuinely have no clue and I'm looking at this from a 'this would be cool from a storytelling point of view', and this would be the perfect way for the writers to make things more tricky after the last season like they intended.
I'm really excited for Isabel's episode because I'm pretty sure it'll reveal some kind of manipulative relationship between her and Edgar, possibly with him drugging her; again my friend had this really good idea that Edgar could have been insistent on Isabel eating the cake because it had some kind of drug in it. I feel like the whole manipulating and/or drugging thing would fit really well with the suspense genre they're going with. Not to mention the scene with Edgar and Isabel at the wedding with him insisting that they'll eat the cake was sinister and chilling as fuck.
Also, I'm expecting more Sebastian and Hannah in Isabel's episode than we've had in the past few, since they're more related to Isabel than they are Danner (of course), Ulysses and Feng.
I also think that since Vivian and Zoe's episode will be a soap opera, it'll have some dramatic reveals, which will be really cool for a finale.
I'm prepared for anyone to be the killer at this point- obviously anyone apart from Aniq (the spitter), Kyler (the skater), the Auntie (the snorer) or Colonel.
Part of me really wants Hannah and Grace to be able to run off into the sunset together, but I also would love some sapphic angst to destroy the rest of my year. By the way, I was so happy when Grace said that she thinks she's in love with Hannah. I'm looking forward to seeing what Hannah hid from Aniq and Danner (as referenced in the Sebastian episode, I believe?)
If anyone has any theories and/or wants to chat about this show, feel free to comment, reblog, DM me or add me on Discord (my tag is mxpiggy).
I really dont want maya to stop being a firefighter mostly because she loves it and I dont see maya being happy without the physicality of it but they could always write her like that but for me and my perception of maya as a person infant see it and also I think that gives of a really bad message like why cant women thrive in a more "masculine field" and why would having a family and a marriage stop them? Like ben and dean didnt have to give up firefighting? And if ben quits its gonna be because of injury not his family. I'm still annoyed abt how dirty maya was done in her career and I dont think that it's fair for her to let it all go and it being water under the bridge. I mean obviously I'm happy thay shes not in a horrible place anymore but I dont want her to lose her ambition. Character development and having a personality transplant are 2 different things. I hope her happy ending is she gets an offer to be captain at another station that's best case scenario for me
I mean to be fair Maya's plan has always been to become Battalion Chief by 40 so I don't think it has much to do with the 'physicality' of it, especially now. The higher you get in the ranks, the less it actually becomes about fighting fires so Maya had to know that when getting into it. If she just wanted the physical aspect of fighting fires then she would just want to be a firefighter without the other titles. To call it a personality transplant is a stretch in my opinion. The way Maya treated her job in Seasons 1-3 was unhealthy to say the least. There's absolutely nothing wrong with her now finally having something else to look forward to in her life, something that means more to her and that something being her family. I agree that it would be sending a wrong message that a woman can't be a mother and a successful firefighter at the same time and ultimately I don't want her to stop being a firefighter either but if they do it the right way and for the right reasons I'm not going to say it's out of character or crazy for Maya to consider it when she's in a much healthier and better place now.
This show isn't the best at showing the balance of life and work though and they didn't handle the whole Maya not putting her name in for captain therefore Carina decided to come back home thing good at all and the message that sent so I do worry how they would go about it. The one thing Marina's storyline is missing is having a conversation about this and Maya still having her ambition and Carina fully supporting that but also Maya feeling at peace now with how things are in her life compared to early on. What does Maya actually want now and what is her goal knowing that Andy is ultimately going to be the captain of 19 for the foreseeable future?
I had always wanted her ending to be captain at another station as well but that doesn't bode well for if the show were to get picked up or saved so with it still being a possibility I don't know if that's the best idea.
