No plant exists and thrives without a network of support, soil, sun, water, air, nutrients and all the unseen elements that contribute to growth. We are just like that. Even if we feel we are alone, we are part of something bigger. When we truly need to lean on someone for support, someone will be there for us. Today I am grateful for the support of my community here in Miami and the global family of Ashtangis who keep the fire burning. In this short video I’m giving progressions into Eka Pada Rajakapotasana, from Sanskrit Eka - one, Pada - leg, Rajakapota - king pigeon, so it’s One Legged King Pigeon Pose. It is a deep backbend that puffs out and opens the chest, making the yoga practitioner resemble a pigeon.
