You are "pro-elain" because you have a flat perception of her character that is shrouded in purity culture. You treat her like a self-insert feminine entity to wipe away a dark, tortured Azriel of his sins. The same Azriel that only lusts after her and desires her because a) she's the prettiest of the Archerons and b) he will NEVER be able to "have" her.

I'm pro-elain because I want better for her and I recognize that the IC is dogshit - they do not care about Elain or see her true potential. You know who does though? Her mate. Her equal. The person she's spiritually most alike and connected to. Another youngest sibling who is neglected by his family and the world, who has lost someone they thought was their "true love", who shares Elain's qualities of boundless kindess and tactful diplomacy. He was the ONLY one to go on a deadly mission on pure faith that Elain's visions were true. Elain, who is "loyal like a dog" (according to Nesta), deserves someone equally loyal back.

It’s funny how people call Elain the boring one when Lucien has done absolutely nothing in four books other than bitch about everything.

Elain is a seer (which is technically a spy). She is a part of the inner circle, she killed the king of hybern, fought off hounds to protect Azriel, found a trove, is willing to help with whatever the rest of the inner circle needs etc.

Lucien has done fuck all except find Vassa (which is great), complain about everything, show how ungrateful he is and continue to be rude to everyone.

And all people continue to do is baby him and say how great he is and he deserves this and that and the other thing.

People who ship Elain with Tamlin for no other reason than “hey Elain likes flowers! Tamlin should be her mate!” Has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve heard and I see it everywhere all the time. She doesn’t know him. Hasn’t spent any time with him. What do they even have in common? But most importantly he is an abuser. He emotionally and physically abused her sister. That’s how Tamlin was written, that’s how the author intended him to be viewed and interpreted. An abuser.

Shipping the “quiet, docile” female with the abusive male because she basically would know to keep her mouth shut (unlike Feyre…which is a weird form of victim blaming for some in this fandom) and “likes flowers” is dumb. I’m sorry but it is.

In the cover of ACOWAR we see the truth teller like is stabbing two forces one looks like shadows the other one looks like smoke in a form of a rose. Does this mean that after elain and azriel had their heart break their love is possible?

Who would chose Nesta?

Cassian doesn't deserve Nesta. Fight me on this. Nesta would risk life and limb and death all over again for him. She'd face her trauma, climb mountains (regardless of how ethical it may be), and put her pride aside for him.

She would face her traumas and search for the cauldron for Elain and Feyre. For the court they love. She gave up her powers for Feyre and Nyx. She fought a war for Feyre. She faced Braylin, and found the trove so Nyx wouldn't grow up in a war-torn world.

Yet not a single Character would put her first, the way she puts them first. They didn't even try to accommodate her trauma by finding an alternative for baths, despite her telling them the issue and them promising to help.

Not one would love her unconditionally the way she loves them, or sacrifice for her, what she'd sacrifice for them.

always insane to me how everyone is jumping to blame Nesta for her families poverty instead of their father?????? this happens the entire series and then when Papa Archeron shows up last minute for the finale battle everyone is just like “🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹” expect* for Nesta who can only remember how he actually never really cared for her and how she is the one who holds his mantel for not doing anything/providing for them. its okay though he gets a pass bc his knee! its shattered, expect it was miraculously healing before his sudden death! but that’s okay Nesta suffers and becomes violently depressed/traumatized by his death in which no one helps her progress through! it takes Cassian the entire book to finally realize the fire sounds like a snapping neck and that’s why she flinches around it. but he sure noticed her huge boobs on her sickly thin body!! absolute himbo frat boy chad of a man. guys on a serious note when are we going to stop holding Nesta accountable for their father’s actions? im getting sick of having this discussion. 

also i find it hilarious Cassian sticks up for Feyre here when he literally does not care about her, if he did he would’ve done the same when Rhys told him to keep the wings secret. just like if he truly cared about Nesta he’d stick up for her, too. instead he insults her and sets himself up to look like a fool all in one go.

I’m so sick and tired of people constantly shitting on Elain and her character. All people do nowadays is hate on feminine characters and it’s wrong.

Everyone wants characters who start off as “badass” and have no actual story. They’re just there to wield a sword and fight. They want a character who only has hard edges and no softness in sight. It’s stupid.

You know what I want? I want a character who is soft and feminine and at the same time, knows how to handle herself. ELAIN. I want a character who still tries to see the good in things when so much bad has happened. ELAIN. I want a character who has actual growth and who is willing and capable to do so much to help others. ELAIN. I want a character who has already done so much but has the potential to do so much more. ELAIN. I want a character who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty when needed but doesn’t have the hard edges that make her seem one dimensional. ELAIN. I want a character who is kindhearted, loving, gentle, caring, but also hardworking, sticks up for herself, determined, trustworthy, willing to do whatever she can to help her loved ones. ELAIN.

I don’t even consider any “girlboss” characters warriors and I don’t consider them stronger than those who actually have more dimension to them. I consider Elain Archeron stronger. I consider Juliette Ferrars Stronger. I consider Evangeline Fox stronger. Feyre goddamn Archeron. Because they don’t need to wipe their tears away, they don’t need to hide their feelings and they have more personality to them that makes them seem more REAL. They don’t need a sword, an axe or training 24/7 to prove that they’re strong. You see strength in their kindness, in their everyday lives. And that shows the reality of it.
