Enid's Secretion!

My band member @bunicompost and I just finished our newest record, Plastic Dolls, it's our sixth release under the band Enid's Secretion. The idea behind this piece was to create a sound that was a little dirty and grungy while also having very atmospheric shining and textured, upbeat synths. Bunni's inspo for the writing and vocals was to create a semi ambient sound while still fitting the beats and maintaining a flow. Another inspiration we both drew from was the idea of drugs and drugs use in the city. we both exited a community together that was entirely surrounded by drug use. Some of the songs in this make specific references to our experience, the character of the Diamond Dealer is meant to portray a man who is keeping Enid locked in her drug use. CIMC, Cartilage and {([urn, they])} were inspired by a period in which we were using cocaine. {([urn, they])} in particular sampled the end of Burning Flowers off of our last release Crocodile Tears.
