that elisabeth pipeline is hitting again I fell in love with the three recordings we have of jesper tyden playing tod 2001 in essen I fear my academic career is about to be ruined
There is a musical called Elisabeth, it's about a queen of the Habsburg Monarchy. And the best character is Death himself in it. A couple of years back we have seen the play in theater and I loved how they portraid him. Not the usual black cape dementor-like reaper you imagine. Oh no. They dressed him as a gentleman with white suit and striking white eyes. He was a sight. Plus the actor called Balázs Koltai-Nagy is an awesome singer.
Note: I'm sorry for doing so many comic translations. They're the easiest for me to do at the moment, but I promise I'm almost done with an actual interview (lol).
Edit ) I just learned that kururin in onomatopoeia for swirl so.

GOOD MORNING TO @elisabeth-in-english SPECIFICALLY
I have been wanting to make a proper album art piece for our English demos for a while, so it is only right to share it with the world. Also a poster, if you’re into that sort of thing!
Ahhh I'm so happy my Etsy order is finally here. After my friend @a-reading-dreamer got me into musicals the first was Elisabeth and the latest Tanz der Vampire (after I watched the movie first). I needed some merch and I came across these lovely things in Etsy and I love them. The wooden Der Tod pin based of Uwe Kröger, the picture of Rudolf x Tod and the Herbert x Alfred sticker are all so beautiful.
So a massive thank you to @emptymasks and his wonderful shop on Etsy where he sells wonderful musical merchandise and other stuff like from marvel. Check it out if you are interested in these things or his blog.
everyone has danced with death, but no one like elisabeth…
i felt inspired by my friend @ladynephthyss to make a gif set since i’d never done one before but wanted to - so i chose my favorite elisabeth production, pia’s last performance in essen in 2002! i love how it’s all potrayed, to me it’s just so beautifully and well done! can you tell i tried to keep a blue motif? all clips are from a recording on youtube, though i can’t seem to link it right now.!
It still floors me how Broadway producers wanted to combine Der Tod and Lucheni’s roles together for an English-language Elisabeth. Of course it’s ludicruous, but also on a very practical level…how??? How would you even do the opening scene in the underworld with Der Tod as Lucheni???
Judge: But why, Death???? Why did you kill Empress Elisabeth of Austria????
Death:
Death: Er—
Judge: Answer me, Death!!!
Death:
Death: I loved her—?
Judge: Love??? Death??? Don’t give me such fairy tales!!!
