would u ever write about helion and eliska? i love it when men act stupid
Probably not :( I've done enough heavy lifting on the world building front, but there's just not enough of their characters in canon for me to play with. At this point, they're basically OCs. Sorry!!
But i agree, Helion is down bad and has turned to mush around her

Character’s POVS I’ll write from:
Listed from most to least headcanons currently-
2p Prussia / Klaus Beilschmidt
2p Poland / Mikolaj Łukasiewicz
2p Romania / Andrei Popescu
2p Hungary / Laci Héderváry
2p Switzerland / Voss Zwingli
2p Liechtenstein / Luise Zwingli
2p Estonia / Egon Von Bock
2p Slovakia / Alexej Kováč
2p Czechia / Eliska Novakova
2p S Italy / Flavio Vargas
2p Austria / Roland Edelstein
2p Belarus / Natasha Arlovskaya
2p Lithuania / Tomas Lorinaitis
2p Portugal / Miguel Pinto Ferreira
2p Latvia / Guntars Galante
2p Japan / Kuro Honda
2p France / François Bonnefoi
2p Spain / Santiago Carriedo
2p Russia / Viktor Braginsky
2p Germany / Lutz Beilschmidt
2p N Italy / Luciano Vargas
The way I present the 2p’s and their universe is that the same countries exist, but history has worked differently creating different events that didn’t happen in the 1p (essentially our) history and vise versa. The 2ps in this universe aren’t ‘insane’ or bloodthirsty, their war torn and many traumatized by war.
This blog takes place in a time where the surviving 2ps have moved to the 1p universe after coming to an agreement of (relative) peace.
The rest of the 2ps are there i just don’t have enough headcanons to write for their pov, feel free to request what headcanons I have for them though.

Currently trying to write more about other characters before writing them here, I realized I hadn't come up with a solid look for Eliska as well as the twins yet!
(I also don't have a solid antagonist yet )

fandom: kuroko no basuke summary:
The breakup hadn’t been bad, per se. It could hardly have been anything the way it ended.
Akashi reaches out to touch the maple in front of the house, its last leaves dangling helplessly in the breeze. Mayuzumi takes out his phone—to jot down notes, as he does. A single leaf symbolizes loneliness, footsteps in the snow are foreboding. Silly things that he doesn’t quite know why he still keeps track of when he has not written anything worth publishing in such a long time.
pairing: mayuzumi chihiro/akashi seijuurou notes: they go on a not-date, i guess! it’s been a while folks.

Title: Abruption WC: 900 Episode: When the Bough Breaks (2 x 05)
He is a step behind everything, and not just in his semi-regular Absent-Minded Creative way. From the beginning of Eliska Sokol’s murder case, he is more than a step behind. He is—he and Beckett are—utterly out of sync and at cross purposes.
He’d like to lay the blame at Paula’s stilettoed feet. She did, after all, descend upon him that first morning, brandishing shoot-the-moon hypotheticals. He doesn’t, though. Even that first morning when he finally arrives at the scene only to find the body just departing. He has the perfect opening not only to blame Paula, but to casually drop the information that his agent was on his doorstep in the wee, small, body-drop hours of the morning to present him with the hypothetical to end all hypotheticals.
He doesn’t blame Paula, though. He doesn’t even mention her or let fall the merest hint of what might soon be breaking news on the three-book deal front. It’s her question—Beckett’s question: Did you have something more important to do, Castle? It sets him back on his heels and leaves him mumbling something generic about getting held up at home.
Did he have something more important to do?
Obviously, in the heat of the hypothetical moment, he’d thought so. The fact that he’d even hesitated in declining her call had seemed absurd. In this corner, we have certain British Secret Agent, and in this corner, a run-of-the-mill murder. There’d be other bodies, he’d reasoned.
But there might not be other bodies. Heat Wave is officially hot off the presses, and there might not have been other bodies even if there weren’t (hypothetically) a certain British Secret Agent in the mix.
It’s the most basic of realizations. His ride-along has been about a character study for a book that now exists. Character study over, ride along over.
But he’s somehow never considered what comes next—what would ever become of the two of them. It’s left him flat-footed and one step behind, and now he finds everything is going wrong. He finds that the two of them are having two different conversations at every turn.
She wants to know when he was going to tell her about the other book. He freezes, unsure whether he’s enraged that someone else leaked the news to her, shamefaced that he wasn’t the one to give her the news, or bracing for the sting of her good-riddance relief that he’ll be moving on. He turns cagey, she’s confrontational. They do a verbal tango so awkward that he’s sure they’ll go right down the rickety stairs, bringing the entire SRO down on their heads. It eventually comes out that she’s not talking about a certain British Secret Agent at all.
She’s talking about Nikki Heat. She’s talking about more Nikki Heat and although he’s curious as to where she got that idea, that’s not the meat of the story. He’ll be damned, though, if he knows what the meat of the story is here. She might as well be speaking Czech for all he understands her side of the conversation, even once they’ve sorted out who’s talking about what book. His scorecard shows she was pissed that he was going to write more Nikki, and now she’s . . . defensive about the fact that he might not? And it’s possible that he’s . . . relieved that she’s not relieved, despite the fact that he’d rejected out of hand his mother’s implication that Beckett would be glad to see the back of him.
There’s no time to sort out what she is—what he is—about the possibility of future Nikki, the hypothetical intrusion of a certain British Secret Agent, or even the matter of whether there will be more bodies in any case. There’s never any time, and everything feels like a waking anxiety dream. He is constantly a step behind, and everything seems to map back on to one damned phone call.
Fool that he is, there’s a shining moment at the launch party where he thinks they’ve come to rights again. She seems genuinely charmed by the dedication. She’s awkward, but he says something simple, something true in reply, and it feels for all the world as though they’ve come to rights. There’s a clack of Newton’s cradle energy from him to her and back to him that has been absent since his thumb first came down on the decline button.
The clack of energy takes the form of inspiration. It gives him a jolt of forward motion when it comes to the case he’s been a step behind on since he missed the body. It’s the way with them, this entanglement of work and whatever else it is they’re doing.
A what if . . . comes tumbling out of his mouth. Her face falls. Her posture stiffens. He knows, instantly, that she wasn’t talking about the case. She wasn’t at all interested in talking about the case and he has missed a crucial moment.
He understands all this in real time, but his mouth keeps running. Hers joins in, off the beat, and they are fighting about Nikki Heat in the most backward way imaginable. He dismisses the character as insubstantial. She dismisses him as not up to the task of writing the character.
It’s a mess. It’s more than just him being a step behind.
A/N: Stinkily amorphous. I blame summer teaching. And Paula.

As I outline my writing plan for A Beast’s Rose, the current, tentative title of the WLW Beauty and the Beast retelling I'm writing, I've noticed an odd trend. In scenes that depict death (or near-death) and grief, by sheer coincidence, the sources I've chosen for inspiration are all scenes from other fiction that depict a "tragic bromance" – a male character's grief at the death of a male friend. Even though in all of my scenes, the person grieving is female, and none of the relationships in question are platonic friendships, I've somehow gravitated toward male friendship examples for each of them.
When the heroine Shanna describes her mother Eliska's face after the death of her husband early on, I've drawn inspiration from the gifs @midnightcowboy1969 has shared of Midnight Cowboy's final scene, showing Jon Voight holding Dustin Hoffman's dead body. It's a shame to draw inspiration from a Trump supporter, but his expression (silent, contemplative, not outwardly emoting, but still with tears welling in his eyes and "puppy dog sadness" subtly visible on his face) is just right for the character of a quiet, tough yet vulnerable peasant woman like Eliska. And since so many people apparently view that movie as a queer love story, not just a bromance, maybe it's especially fitting to let a character wear the same expression after losing her spouse.
Meanwhile, her children's struggles with the loss of their father draw inspiration from the climax of the middle-grade friendship novel Freak the Mighty (and its film version The Mighty starring Elden Henson and Kieran Culkin) and Max's grief at Freak's death. I've written before about how that book and movie traumatized me when I was forced to read and watch them in middle school. To shy 14-year-old Shana I've given Max's despair in the weeks following the death (deep depression, feelings of existential nihilism, shutting himself in his room for days on end), while his immediate hysterics at the news (rage, screaming, violent tantrum-throwing) I've given to her volatile younger sister Zuri.
Now we move ahead years later in the storyline, to the climactic scene where Liriel, the lady beast, almost dies in Shanna's arms. I'm nowhere near actually writing this scene, but I've already outlined it in my mind, and one of the main sources of inspiration (besides the Disney Beast's near-death in Belle's arms, of course) is Thorin's death in Bilbo's arms near the end of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Say what you will about the controversial Hobbit movies, but Richard Armitage and Martin Freeman both give heartbreaking performances in that scene. So in my outline, I draw inspiration both from Thorin for Liriel (initially anxious, desperate to beg forgiveness for past wrongs, but finally lapsing into gentle, smiling calm and tenderness) and from Bilbo for Shanna (at first choking back his/her horror and pragmatically tending the wound, gently yet firmly denying the inevitable, but then begging his/her friend to live, and finally breaking down in childlike, whimpering tears). Fortunately, unlike Thorin, Liriel is saved in the end.
I didn't set out to pick tragic bromance scenes as my inspirations – I chose each one independently. But maybe this strange pattern will be effective in the long run. After all, one of my main goals in this particular story is to present a wide range of female characters who are different from each other and none of whom are mere archetypes or stereotypes. Sometimes drawing inspiration from male characters for how they behave will help to ensure that they don't become stereotypes of womanhood or girlhood. Then there's the fact that even though all three of the inspirations mentioned above are "tragic bromance" scenes, the characters of Joe, Max and Bilbo all grieve in very different ways, which probably shows just how different they are as people. Just like Shana, Eliska, Zuri, et al, are different from each other, and just like 20-year-old Shana is different from her 14-year-old self. I don't know just how effective the scenes will be in my finished novel, but so far, I feel good about my plans.

The Last Will & Testiment of Gleb Vaganov: A Letter
To @krxsny
Dearest Liesel,
I am sitting at the patisserie you recommended. From an outside table, you can see the boats floating in the Seine and the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Paris is beautiful – more beautiful than I would admit to anyone but you. Still, I would trade a thousand Parises for one Leningrad. Or else I would give all to have you sitting with me, taking coffee and watching the sky fade to dark. Until I reached Paris, I had thought myself lonely. I was wrong. As long as I had you at my side, I was never alone.
I have been a fool. Chasing fairytales across the continent, set on killing a ghost, without knowing whether my father’s legacy was worth carrying on. I cannot say for certain what I decided. Other decisions have taken precedence these last few days. Whether I carried out my father’s orders or failed to, I know that you are the only good thing awaiting me in Leningrad. Too long I have been blind and deaf to you and I cannot express my shame. My mother said my father died of shame. I am proud of how I acted in Paris, but I know that upon my return, I shall be buried in a shallow grave filled with shame and regret for confusing love for compassion and compassion for love. I write to tell you what I may never get to say in person: I love you Liesel. I miss the sound of your shoes on my office floor, the smell of the rosewater in your hair. I miss your laugh, your warm hands – your voice. It haunts me, joining a chorus of all the others I have failed. And dearest Liesel, whether my feelings are returned or whether I am too late – and I am far too late – I cannot face the firing squad which will await me without having let you know that as I knelt upon the marble tile, trying to catch my breath after my decision was made, it was your voice I longed for and your touch. Realization has all but flooded my mind and body. How many opportunities I missed! In another life, I imagine you and I would be happy together. I am only sorry I could not give that to you in this lifetime. Do you still believe in God? If you do, pray we shall meet again in another time and place.
But how arrogant to think you feel the same! I have run memories of our time together through my mind. Every smile, every kind word, every lingering touch… I perhaps read too much into your action. You do not need to answer me – you may never get the chance – but did you love me in silence all along? Have I caused you pain with my failures? If so, know that loving you too late is my biggest regret. I say this as a man with much to regret.
My dreams have taken a sharp turn away from pursuit of a rumor, to desire for a life we could have lived. I close my eyes at night and it is you who quells my terrors and silences the screams and fills the silence with your hands in mine. I cannot say more of these dreams, but I woke this morning, thinking you were beside me. How bitterly disappointed I was to be alone.
I do not ask your love in return. It is too late to ask it and unfair to ask it after all I’ve done and failed to do. If I see you when I return to Leningrad, I have a gift for you from Paris. Do not expect a designer gown or cheap bauble. If I see you, you shall know. If not, know that I updated my will before leaving for this trip. All that I have, all that is mine, is yours. Dearest Eliska Lise, what I wish most for you is happiness, whatever my fate. May your next officer be twice as kind to you and three times as caring. May he make you laugh and bring you tea and joy, instead of asking it from you with such greed. Be happy. Know that I love you and loved you and that for me, simply saying it at long last brings me peace I have never found elsewhere. I return to Russia knowing what fate awaits me. I go with a proud heart, knowing that I did the right thing at the last and that whatever sleep comes upon death will be filled with thoughts of you.
I wish you all the happiness this world can offer and that you will reap the benefits of our new society in my stead. Do not forget me, but let me go. Find someone who can give you all I failed to.
Always your loving --
Gleb

this isn't fic-related but i want to know about your wips! tell me about them! what are they about?
+_+*insert shing! sound effect anime eyes do when locked on target*FanfictionLeading the BlindElder Scrolls fanfic where I take a very minor npc from Skyrim, make her a lesbian, and have her take the hero’s journey. oh, and she goes off to find her hero who is an alcoholic with ptsd. deals with themes of abuse and trauma we don’t see our heroes suffer through (among many other esoterica because I’m a nerd). Fantasy, adventure, and I’m not afraid to write explicit sex scenes RelentlessThat hero I mentioned? This is her prequel. This is a story about pushing people away, feeling abandoned, feeling like only the hero can solve the problems of the world so everyone dumps their crap on her. It’s about watching a hero fail to do the right things because what’s the fucking point? Fantasy, adventure drama Raven’s SongThe brother of the hero who has always felt less than adequate compared to her. Runs concurrently with Relentless.  my blood on your lips, my lips on your mouth (currently unpublished)Klonnie TVD au feat. Little Red Riding Hood, gratuitous real-history used for fictional purposes, fantasy Romania, and lots of made-up moon myth. And, at some point, menstrual cunnilingus because I don’t know what being subtle is like Toxic Love (currently unpublished)Hey, one day I wondered what a Poison Ivy x Captain Planet ship would look like and now I’m working on a fic where these two are gonna bring out the very best and worst in one another (humanity is fukd, spoilers)Original FictionWickStraight up romance where Cinderella is a witch and the royal guard is investigating her for putting out a possible hit out on the crown prince. Gaelic and Slavic language/culture (especially Ukrainian) are the influences here. No explicit sex scenes--only ooey, gooey schmoopy crap. Omens, Threads of Magic Book 1Eliska Bitterhalf lives in a world with magic long-gone but that doesn’t stop her country from warring with a neighboring nation. Since her dad died, her mom’s been absent and she barely functions keeping house. But, one day she has a dream that predicts the future and, what the heck, that’s some high level stuff she shouldn’t be able to do. After she saves a bonafide Chosen One--prophesied to end the war--she joins him and two others on a quest to end the war.Spoilers: It’s a story that takes used and tired tropes, puts them into the garbage, and says, “We’ve heard this one before.” Things get wild. Bitterly accidentally saves a demon lord! Her best friend is kidnapped! And why the hell is she suddenly able to control fire? Magic doesn’t exist anymore!ShardwalkerStill very much in its nascency, this is a story about the hero after she’s saved the world. Ellery wanted to live out the rest of her life in peace but it seems like she was born to carry burden. Heavily inspired by Rook of Skyrim and its themes. It Starts with Fire, Adept Book 1Another day, another dead dad. Greer Novak lives in a world where abilities exist that we would describe as “superpowers” but they’ve always been a part of her world and its history. But she’s not one of them. She’s listless. She can’t keep a job down and she desperately needs to help her mom with the house finances. Her sister is obsessed with the Adepts (the ability-users of the world). After breaking up with her girlfriend, the closest she’s come to a stable relationship is masturbating to fantasies of a powerful Adept named Altitude who is a Flier and is the face of one of the leading crime prevention groups in the city. That’s the state of things until a local terrorist organization attacks an area Greer happens to be in one day. She’s saved by Altitude and takes the opportunity to kiss him. Next thing she knows, she’s in a gas station bathroom, holding onto the sink because why the fuck are her feet not connected to the floor anymore? Wait, no. This doesn’t feel right. Shit shit shit, she’s hovering in the air and doesn’t know why. Early adulthood sucks.Untitled Project, Marchen Book 1Uh, well, the idea was that I’d take Little Red Riding Hood, make the wolf into the protag and, for good measure, pretend the magical equivalent of a nuclear bomb hit so everyone’s fighting for resources and survival. Basically, I had an idea for a plot but could never make ends meet. So, the plot is going over into a fanfic (see above) and I’m trying to think about what to do with this one now.

I'm trying to get over the last chapter but I just CAN'T omg
Spoilers ahead for anyone who did not read it yet
Tumblr media
Everything about the Winter Court is just so so *SO*, the fact their income comes from basically snow related stuff like sledding...
You clearly put so much thought into the world building of a world that isn't even yours bc Sarah simply is too lazy writing porn to do anything else
NERIS BEING PLAYFUL NEAR EACH OTHER AND PLAYING WITH THE KIDS? MY HEART BURSTED
Az taking back his place as my favorite bat boy? After putting everyone in their place and asking the real questions?
Neris being the ultimate power couple during the Party
Kallias being a whole ass mood, bc I too want the roof to fall on my head during gatherings
Rhysie are you scared bb? 💀
THE REVEAL ABOUT ELISKA???? OUT OF THIS FUCKING WORLD
Phelan scares me, ngl
Also Cassian being put on his place and not even knowing the smallest details about Nesta
NESTA AND ERIS DANCING REALLY CLOSE TOGETHER AND HAVING THE FUCKING KISS AT LAST, HIM SAYING THAT TO HER? I COLLAPSED
This is everything, EVERYTHING, I just wish I could you to the future to read everything that shall come yet. I have no other option but to read everything again like, four times. It is incredible ❤❤❤
I love love love world building. There’s a place in Slovakia called Donovaly where you can ski, go on a horse drawn carriage through the snow or a sled of huskies which was definitely an inspiration for the winter court.
Eris clocked that Nesta likes kids and rolled back his sleeves *time to show her I can be a good dad*
Azriel the whole chapter
Tumblr media
I have this headcanon that LoA is a daemati in canon hence why Eris knows about them to protect his mind from being wiped - and that was how he caught Azriel in the woods. And that only him and his mama know about her power because she was so young when she had him, she was learning how to use it while trying to raise him.
Although Nesta is a private person, I wanted them to have that moment on the dance floor because although everybody could see, she only had eyes for one man.
I am so glad you liked it ❤️❤️❤️

“I’d like you to meet one of the new recruits,” Akashi says finally, after he’s done sorting through the piles. He smiles down at Mayuzumi and holds out a roll of newspapers. “Not today, mind you, but well… you’d be so kind as to help me put these back in place first, won’t you?”
“Hell no,” Mayuzumi replies, but he does so anyway like the fool that he is.

Journal Entry #2
I write this right before I make the treacherous journey to Cadiz. On my way to travel to Brazil to escape the war, I boarded the Alsina only to be detained on Dakar, West Africa. For five months, the ship stayed detained and I had to remain there with the rest of the refugees. The only good thing to come up was Eliska. I’ve fallen in love! But I still felt guilty. I checked the newspaper everyday when we got back from our daily trip to the beach, only to find worse news everytime. Right now, I’m in Morocco as the Alsina was tricked to go to Casablanca port for “repairs”. In reality, it was just a ploy and the ship has been taken away. Most refugees were sent to a camp but luckily, I was able to talk his way to freedom and met up with Eliska and her mother. They were able to buy shelter and didn’t need to go to camp. We devised a plan to get to Cadiz, which had a ship that could take them to Brazil. This all kept me distracted from thinking of my family too much, but whenever I do, I can feel my eyes start to get watery. The worsening news and lack of contact with my family has taken a toll on my thoughts. Whenever I’m not doing something, my mind drifts off to my house and family before the war. The only reason I can even have some semblance of happiness is Eliska, who helps me stay bright even in these dire situations. Though, I never seem to be able to talk to her about the war and the thoughts clawing at my mind.

Tell me what books are you writing. :>
Only about a million because I don't know what self-restraint or prioritization is. Here's a list of things I've not given up on yet:1. Omens (book 1 in the Threads of Magic series): Eliska "Bitterly" Bitterhalf lives a quiet life in her village in a world where magic disappeared centuries ago. She lives in a country that's been embroiled in a decades long war with a neighboring country. A festival brings Bitterly to a man who has been divined as the Chosen One who will save both the countries from war. (A/N: this story is not what it seems! The idea is to take well-trodden and possibly overused story premises and completely turn them on their heads. For example, this sounds like a fantasy adventure with Bitterly and Chosen One as the LIs--noooope!).2. Betwixt (book of the the Marchen series): it's Little Red Riding Hood if the main lady was a werewolf whose world was hit by a magical atomic bomb and now all werewolves look like mangy mutts but mostly human. Our lead lady has to go find a potion to save her grandmother from dying but ends up captured by a human man who believes werewolves killed his three older sisters. Leading lady makes a desperate bargain to find the sisters so she can be spared... even though she has no idea if the sisters are alive or not. (A/N: it's Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Rose Red, and a whole bunch of other fairy tales in a world where magic is broken and so are it's characters).3. Shardwalker: hey... if you've read some of my other stuff, this might be familiar. No spoilers beyond that haha4. Wick: Cinderella is a witch and she's under investigation for treason against the crown. Lemme know if you've got more questions!
