others with ASPD, or consider ASPD possible for you, what are characters you find good representation of your experience & disorder? feel free to say any character — explanations are preferred but never mandatory

I'll go first —

BARRY BERKMAN

just in time for the new season — I find him extremely go representation of my experience with ASPD. most chalk up what goes on with him as BPD, I think it's because his most prevalent cluster-b symptoms are overlapping symptoms between BPD + ASPD. I find it very common people with BPD think they have ASPD and vice verca at first (especially since AFAB / TME people tend to get diagnosed w/ BPD or BPD gets called "female ASPD" despite this being horridly inaccurate.) anyway, regardless I find the specific way his symptoms present more typical of at least my experience, & others I know experiences with ASPD. (though BPD is always also possible)

AESOP CARL

alright I like IDV as much as the next guy, the people that produces the game suck & the game is riddled with racism, transmisogyny, antisemitism, and plenty of more -isms. however out of the many characters aesop carl seems to align best with ASPD. along with his very prevalent (and canonical) ASD he shows traits of ASPD. he also surely has the trauma to go along with it.

HERMAN "THE DOCTOR" CARTER

I judge this mostly based in his older written backstory, which went more in depth about him as a character, including childhood etc. he clearly meets most if not all of the criteria needed for an ASPD diagnosis. I relate to parts of his character — excluding the murder & torture — as well, due to similar interests & the like, especially in childhood.

This thing is a condescending insult, especially to young people, the socially conscious, and members of marginalized and """outcast""" groups (LiKe GoThS & ppL who CAN cONTroL BEEEEES) who genuinely suffer from what this thing hollowly masturbates to while looking us dead in the eyes and saying "yeah, you like that, don't you?" It is a Gatling gun of random buzzwords and empty references to social issues, grotesquely and impotently disguised and screaming "I'm commentary!" before pissing its pants, squealing like a pig, and at its most coherent offering nothing more than to demonize mental illness and make any marginalized identity out to be a mayonnaise-stained Hot Topic hoodie through Wiseau-ian dialogue, inappropriate "grittiness" for its source material and Harry Potter setting, and incessant hackery. I am shitting. I am pissing. I am standing over a warm bubble bath cradling a toaster and sobbing, chanting g-d's secret name and praying that there is indeed a hell so I can be eternally punished for having given this moral abomination one fraction of a fraction of a cent also it's not a good Addams family adaptation
