Me when I heard there's an Avatar series with an earthbending avatar and my brain went "y'know we haven't exactly gotten to really see and understand sand benders that much, they're severely underrated":

They're discovered as the Avatar at the age of 16, but they have been secretly developing some skills with firebending and air since as early as 9 years old.

Meet Avatar Eloh, from the Si Wong Desert sandbending tribes.

FUN FACTS:

Unfortunately, it is due to a lack of presence in the Earth Kingdom and across the world that it takes so long for them to be discovered and recognized as the Avatar.

Obviously, they have a huge struggle with waterbending (hello they are in the desert wtf you mean water) but they've notably been able to develop the skills of branches of bending. They're quite excelled at their main element of sandbending and lava ending, with some proficiency in lightning bending.

Eloh was born about ten years after Korra died.

Eloh is the first earthbending gender non-conforming Avatar. They were born female at birth, but are most often seen wearing masculine fitting attire and having most use gender neutral pronouns (though some in the Earth Kingdom are not as liberal minded and will use feminine pronouns around them, but this isn't as much a problem as it is a minor nuisance that Eloh barely shows much problem with)

They have always had an inner voice they've talked to since they were young, being highly spiritually tied to their previous incarnation of Korra, referring to her as "sensei" and "friend"

However, as highly spiritual as Eloh is, they're not that strongly tied to gain entrance to the spirit world- which would be remedied later on after being found as they would learn more about Avatar Korra and the severed connection to the avatar past lives

They make glass figurines and trinkets for the kids in the tribes

Bolin is one of the few people to discover them, as is Mako- becoming their Earth and firebending teachers

Jinora ends up being Eloh' airbending teacher, and Eska- Korra's cousin- becomes their waterbending teacher

Again, I reiterate, waterbending sucks ass for Eloh. It is not fun.

They're the descendant of the Si Wong Chief

They own a badgermole as a pet named Nuka that has been raised in the desert and that they ride on, if not on one of the sandbarges

There is a running joke that Belle was the Oracle at Delphi that's not technically untrue. Pythia was a separate oracle but she and Belle played a parent trap on Apollo because Pythia was overworked and underpaid and at the time they looked similar with the traditional garments to pass as each other. Belle, being psychic, could accurately predict things well enough to have settled a good few major disputes. Apollo was NOT amused when they got found out.

Belle hasn't stayed in contact with most other deities, in large part due to her being a rabble-rouser back in the day and getting a lot of them into trouble. However, she's very very close with Dionysus and Isis still and she maintains friendships with a lot of other ancient folks of lore. Hale/Lucifer is a good friend, as well as Eve. She's not close but still friendly with a good few other deities who she mostly just trades favors with back and forth. The only one she really has beef with is the Abrahamic god Eloh, who she'd happily punch any day of the week.

How do you feel about other entities working in your domain? Like demons or angels of fertility?

Controversial maybe but I don't mind it at all! I've always been about sharing the wealth & responsibilities and I'm not territorial at all. The weird possessiveness others get over their domains has always struck me as odd, especially when it comes to domains that aren't dependent on prayer/devotion.

There are 8 billion people in the world, it frankly doesn't make sense for one deity to be in charge of the whole lot of them.
