anyways on this episode of izzy's gender fuckery crisis we have this update: oki so like being referred to as a girl and solely a girl and being forced to be feminine because "syempre babae ka kailangan ka maging babae (ofc since u r a girl u have to act like one)" irritates me to death. Other modes of feminine presentation aka skirts and dresses and anything that makes me appear too much of a feminine person also legitimately SCARES ME TO DEATH especially when I'm forced to do so.

however, that being said, upon further introspection on the chick i once really really liked that is now presenting more masc than ever, I have realised that I am not too comfy presenting myself as too masc either. like, I don't want people to look at me and perceive me as a duuuuude , but I don't want to present myself too femininely either as it legitimately makes my skin crawl. like, I find myself comfy in men's clothes and styling but if I imagine/see myself presenting way too much like a man, then I feel very weird and not in a good way - which is weird kasi I thought I would like being more masc presenting given my absolute panic attack-inducing aversion to appearing typically feminine. So anyways the gist is androgyny is my best friend and I would rather be perceived as a blob than as a specific gender

Notes: Fantastic video of Colin's Orpheus Debut! there is a small head obstruction in the far left bottom that obstructs nothing but Hermes legs at times. This was a very unique and stressful show for the cast as they were down a worker and had everyone in the company on in the show. the show started almost 25 minutes late as they had to rehearse and change choreo. The lights hit in wait for me and the choreo change is quite fun to see and it's unique!

plotting/starter call for the hwminievent6! under the cut are my characters, their dates, and their vibes for the night. 💗 capping the starters at four per character for now!

abby anderson -- blind date with josie saltzman. (1/4) urumi akamaki.

abby will be on a blind date with josie. abby is still getting used to a world that's normal and not post-apocalyptic, so they may be a bit uncomfortable at first only to open up later in the night.

alicia clark -- blind date with adam torres. (1/4) ramona flowers.

alicia will be on a blind date with adam. she is more outgoing and willing to enjoy herself at an event like this, so she'll probably have a fun time; making the most of the night.

bella swan -- blind date with brinna javik. (1/4) alice cullen.

bella will be on a blind date with brinna. even though she's a generally awkward person, she's eager to spend the evening with someone new and go outside of her comfort zone.

beth washington -- open to a date. (2/4) emily davis, max lightwood.

beth is actually excited for this event. i'd love to see her go with someone or find someone to spend the majority of the event with! she will be enjoying the party and wishing that she at least had her brother or sister there with her.

bigby wolf -- attending with snow white. (1/4) danika fendyr.

bigby is attending with snow. he won't exactly be in Big Bad Wolf Mode, but he'll be protective of her, of course, and will be on the lookout for any trouble or chaos that might happen during the event.

dora tonks -- blind date with bb-8. (2/4) eloise bridgerton, hagrid.

dora will be on a blind date with bb-8. she's actually looking forward to this blind date and getting to meet new people, even if the vibe of the event is ~romantic~. she'll also want to be seeing her friends and family and may even introduce them to her date.

draco malfoy -- going solo. (4/4) rabastan lestrange, hermione granger, harry potter, scorpius malfoy.

draco is going solo. but he has big feelings for lee jordan, and will probably spend most of the night bickering with him about complete and utter nonsense. also, he'll probably be drinking. a lot.

garrett -- attending with kate. (1/4) irina.

garrett is attending with kate. he loves a good party and will be making the most of it, socializing and getting to know other vampires. he won't be paying as much attention to the humans, given his current circumstances.

jyn erso -- attending with cassian andor. (3/4) ellie williams, ansel of briarcliff, sha hualing.

jyn is attending with cassian. she's still a bit wary of washington itself, having heard of the craziness that occasionally takes place here. cassian is her safe place, so she'll want to stay by his side.

louis weasley -- attending with wednesday addams. (2/4) fleur delacour, bill weasley.

louis is attending with wednesday. and in all honesty, he probably dragged her to the event kicking and screaming. he's looking forward to spending the evening with her, and showing her off to all of his friends and family. he knows how to have a good time, and will make sure that he does, as long as he has wednesday by his side.

luna lovegood -- attending with neville longbottom. (2/4) cho chang, lee hongjo.

luna is attending with neville. she's incredibly excited to go, having a deep love for most holidays. she will be all dolled up and is excited to see everyone!

maggie greene rhee -- going solo. (1/4) rosita espinosa.

maggie is going solo. however, she'll probably stay close to glenn, since he IS her husband, after all. she'll also want to make sure that no trouble arises. she does love valentine's day and will be enjoying herself at the same time, though she won't get crazy with it. she just wants to have fun on her mom's night out!

mike schmidt -- open to a date. (2/4) charlotte dilaurentis, jester lavorre.

mike isn't super eager to be attending the valentine's day event, honestly. he hasn't had a lot of romance in his life, which is part of why he plans on going alone. i'd love to have a date for him, though, to enjoy the night with! he's a big softy on the inside, and would be sweet to spend time with once he gets past his shyness.

rey palpatine -- attending with fred weasley ii. (3/4) samara palpatine, leia organa, han solo.

rey is attending with fred. she is super excited to get to know them better and to spend more time with them, especially at an event like this. she'll also be checking in with her friends and family to make sure that they're having a good time, too.

rhaenyra targaryen -- attending with harwin strong. (2/4) lidia cervos, penelope garcia.

rhaenyra is attending with harwin. they're ready for a night out away from the kids, though they love their children, a date night with their husband is very much needed.

theon greyjoy -- attending with sansa stark. (2/4) ridoc, filippa kosta.

theon is attending with sansa. and will be spending the majority of the event by her side. he's a little bit on the reserved side and will want to stay within his comfort zone, which is with sansa or other people that he knows.

will graham -- going solo. (1/4) yennefer.

will is going solo. despite this, he may gravitate towards someone that he feels a connection with. however, he will likely spend most of the night alone, or at least ~trying~ to socialize.

Let me teach you - Anthony Bridgerton x reader - chapter 4

“You are not going out now. Haven’t you seen the weather, young lady?” Emily was already on her way out, as you entered the dining room for breakfast.

“I already promised Eloise that we could go to the market.” She complained to her parents.

“We cannot have you running around risking being sick. The Grosvenor house debutante ball is next week!” Your aunt was screeching and you tried your hardest not to grimace. Your uncle however didn’t hide his expression and the newspaper in his hand couldn’t distract him from this conversation.

“Mama, it is only a few hours. We will get home again before it starts raining. Papa, tell her.” Emily sent her father a stare that only puppies could do better. With her lower lip poking out and her hands ready for a prayer. Your uncle sighed and finally let go of the newspaper he wasn’t reading anyway.

“Make sure to be home for y/n’s dance lessons this afternoon.” He just said and it almost looked like aunt Laura’s jaw would drop down in the plate, if that was physically possible.

“Thank you papa!” Your cousin ran to her father and kissed him on the cheek.

“Albert!” Aunt Laura exclaimed, but your uncle laid his hand over hers to calm her and she huffed.

“I will be back for the dancing, I promise. I’m sorry you can’t come with us but do give my best regards to Mr. Davies.” Your cousin almost jumped out the door and you could hear her calling for her maid somewhere else in the building. You sighed silently. It felt like you hadn’t been leaving the house since you got to London. You had only had a few outing for shopping and you had been visiting the Bridgertons once more since Anthony invited you the first time. Not that he was anywhere near the tea room the second time. You were not even sure he was in the building, but you didn’t want to ask for him. It was Lady Bridgerton who had officially invited you both times, so it would only be rude to ask for anyone else than the host.

“How are the lessons going? Mr. Davies says you are doing well on the piano, but Mrs. Greaves is a bit… sceptical.” You uncle was generous. You had heard the reports Mrs. Greaves had given him and your two left feet were kind of offended. You didn’t think you were that bad, but of course you didn’t have anyone to compare yourself with. Your cousin was kind of clumsy too, but that was because she had to dance like a man, which she of course wasn’t use to.

“It’s just a lot harder than I expected. I don’t think I will ever be a good dancer, maybe a decent one. On a good day.” You mused and it made your uncle chuckle behind the great moustache of his.

“I wish I could give you some more time, because I’m sure you would be excellent. You might have to use a bit more of your charm. But that comes naturally when you are a Bradley.” He said proudly. You smiled at him. He was so caring and even though you didn’t see him much doing the day, you could feel he got your back in a whole other way your aunt had. She was very determining to marry you off to the best of the ton along with her daughter. You admired her dedication and the fact that they spend money on your lessons. But you hadn’t really considered marriage before moving to London and your aunt put it on your mind. You couldn’t imagine you being someone’s wife and live a married life. All you knew before your time in your uncle and aunt house was the life of a traveling printer and his daughter. You were ready to step in and help him and were used to actually use your hands for working. But you knew that your uncle and aunt wouldn’t even let you near The City where the printing businesses may be. No, you should stay in Mayfair or at least Bloomsbury. Your world had become so small in only a a month and you still had a hard time figuring out how to deal with it all. You did what was expected of you, but as the date of your official debut I London society grew closer, it formed a knot in your stomach. It felt wrong. Nothing of this is what you ever wanted, but coming to think of it, you never really had any wild plans for your life. You had known one thing and that was your dad. Maybe you should start to think about what you really wanted and not just what was expected and what happened in the past. You just had to figure that out while learning the pianoforte and dancing waltz.

You were sat at the pianoforte and watched Mr. Davies figures go over the instrument. You had trouble with a piece but what made you fail repeatedly was Mrs. Greaves walking back and forward in the empty ball room, knocking her cane hard against the floor for every step. It was both distracting and unnerving.

“Where is that girl?” Said Mrs. Greaves grimly as she passed you yet again.

“They might just be running late.” You said for the fifth time. Emily hadn’t shown up for your lessons as promised and it had been raining like a hurricane since she left. Aunt Laura was running around concerned and you were almost grateful for your teachers to take you away from that. You were sure that she was almost ready to call upon the police to search for Emily.

“It is a waste of my time!” Mrs. Greaves exclaimed and you mimed her words as she said it, as that was also fifth time she said exactly that. Mr. Davies coughed to hide a chuckle. You were lucky that you both sat with your back turned to her. Also immediately after came a footman into the room. You all watched him go from one end of the gigantic ballroom to reach you in the bottom.

“Miss Bradley, your aunt sent me to tell you that she sent the other Miss. Bradley to bed. She doesn’t want her to catch a cold.” He bowed for you all and went on his way again. You sighed out loud. It was as expected when you saw the weather.

“I knew it! A complete waste of my time! I hope your uncle doesn’t think he will get this day for free. I will take my leave!” Mrs. Greaves stormed out as fast as her old legs could bear. The sound of the cane echoed throughout the room and she slammed the door behind her. What a temper.

“If you don’t mind, I can stay the hours and we can go over this part again. I have more nodes in my briefcase if you want to change song too.” Mr. Davies offered and you nodded immediately. The song would absolutely haunt your mind, if you didn’t end up getting it right.

“Thank you Mr. Davis. If we can finish this song at least, I won’t tell my uncle that you left early.” You said and you both smiled knowingly at each other.

Not an hour later there was a knock on the door. You were in the middle of a song and you didn’t want to stop. You concentrated hard on the notes in from of you, so Mr. Davies was the one to ask the visitor to come inside. You could faintly hear the footman announcing the arrival of the guest, but your music was too loud for you to actually hear who it was.

“Lord Bridgerton. How good to see you.” Mr. Davies said and THAT caught your attention. You missed a few notes and made the poor instrument screech, but tried your best to try a finish the piece. The two men walked up to you while talking. You tried your hardest not to focus on them and make your heart slow down. Why was it even beating so hard all of the sudden? It was loud in your ears and it was as distracting as Mrs. Greaves damn cane. You took a deep breath and continued playing. The men stopped to your right and had stopped talking. With the most grace you could master, you finished the song with only a few mistakes. You let out the breath you forgot you had been holding.

“Miss. Bradley. You are getting better.” Anthony simply said. What an odd greeting.

“Thank you, my Lord.” You finally looked up at him and he nodded at you with a small smile. “And… and for what did I earn your company today?”

“I was made aware of your cousin and my sister’s adventure today. It seems like they were caught in a storm doing their outing.” He explained.

“Yes, so I’ve heard. Mrs. Greaves went home as soon we heard actually, so I am using the time to practice the pianoforte, as you saw.” You couldn’t avoid letting your confusion show. Your cousins outing had nothing to do with the Lord.

“That I did. But I thought you might still want to learn the dances. And since your cousin is not here, I thought I might use some of my free time to make myself available. I was, after all, the one that allowed my sister to drag your cousin along today.” He raised his eyebrows at you and you guessed it was because you looked as surprised as you felt. Should you dance with The Lord Bridgerton? You put a hand over your heart, as it suddenly sped up and you weren’t sure how you were even surviving that.

“My lord. It’s very kind of you but…”

“It certainly is, isn’t it? Come. Mr. Davies will play the piano for us.” He said, gesturing to Mr. Davies who looked as surprised at you. But the gesture woke him up.

“Certainly. Certainly, Lord Bridgerton. I will see to it.” The older man said and wobbled over to the grand instrument and sat down on the stool next to you again. Anthony now turned to you.

“You are dancing the Quadrille at the moment, if I am correct?” He said and reached his arm to you. You stared at it for a moment before taken it and let him take you away from the comfort you found in being seated and with your back turned halfway to him. Now you actually had to look at him. Look at those beautiful eyes. You caught yourself in a thought and looked away.

“How did you know?” This time it was you who caught Anthony off guard. He cleared his throat.

“I… I’m sure my sister must have mentioned it, after speaking with your cousin. They are, after all, very close and I believe they tell each other everything.” He mused. He led you away from the piano and you let go of his arm to stand in front of him in perfect dance position.

“Are you sure you can teach me, my Lord? It is a dance for four couples and I already have a hard time imagining the last six people.” You didn’t want to sound doubtful of his ability to dance, but you already had the hardest time with the dances that included more than two people. Emily had the luxury to learn the dances along with others when she was younger and you were sure Anthony had too. But Mrs. Greaves wouldn’t put you in a class for people half your age, because that would make people talk. Your aunt of course agreed on that one.

“I’ll admit, it will not be easy, but I can see that you already know the basics.” He said and placed himself in positon as well. With one foot in front of the other and one hand behind his back he stood elegantly. With his cocky smile the only thing that could make him look more like royalty was the crown. Was that even allowed?

“I know very little, but I do know how to stand. It’s as soon as I start moving it will end horribly.” This made the man sputter and laugh out loud. Mr. Davies started coughing in the background too. You felt kind of proud of yourself that you were able to make Anthony laugh like that, even though it wasn’t very gentlemanly to laugh on a woman’s expense.

“I guess I never calculated your wit. It is very refreshing. I do apologize for laughing though.” He explained and composed himself again, but the smile never left his face.

“Apology accepted, my lord. Now, will you teach me to dance?” You said and lifted your chin as a suggestion. Anthony waved at Mr. Davies that turned around to the pianoforte and started playing. Anthony started by bowing to you and you curtsied. You both turned so you had the front the same way and you lifted your left hand for him to take. He smirked at you and you remembered that it was the man who was supposed to lift his hand first. Without thinking you sucked in a breath as he gently curled his fingers around your ungloved hand. He guided you back and forward while mumbling the steps.

“Two step and take the gentleman’s hand. Walk pass him. I take your hand behind your back.” You walked pass the invisible gentleman and moved your right hand to your back and felt Anthony grab both your hands and turning you both around. You stood so close like that, that it almost scared you when his voice was just next to your ear.

“Now we walk pass the other two couples in a circle.” He almost whispered and led you around in a circle. You made sure to time your steps with his until you stopped again. It continued like this, Anthony giving you small directions. Letting your hand go to the invisible gentleman and give you a big smile when you placed your hand back in his. He led you around a second time and you two looked at each other with a little laugh. It felt silly but much better than when you and your cousin can marched around clumsily as Emily wasn’t use to lead and you had no idea where your dance partners were supposed to stand. At least Anthony gave you a sense of direction. It might still not have been the most elegant dance you had ever danced, but it felt much easier following Anthony.

You watched him spin around himself with the three other invisible gentlemen before he joined you in the outer circle and spun you around. You couldn’t help but giggle when your dress flew a little in the spins and turns.

“Now we walk forward. Bow to the couple in front of us. Walk backwards. Now turn to me.” With Anthony’s hand holding yours high, you turned to him and your eyes locked. You saw the corner of his mouth twitch. The piano music had stopped and you were just standing there, staring at each other. It wasn’t an awkward moment but a precious moment you knew you would remember for a long time. You had never been so close to a man before.

“What now, my Lord?” You asked under a breath, as he didn’t say anything.

“May I compliment your eyes?” He said and it startled you.

“I don’t think you need permission to compliment someone, my… my lord.” You surprised yourself that you were even able to speak in that moment. What was he about? You could feel his thumb caressing your hand that he was still holding so gently, that you had almost forgotten that you were holding hands.

You were brought back to the reality when Mr. Davies coughed very loudly from behind the pianoforte and you both jumped half a step away from each other. Anthony, however, didn’t let go of your hand.

“And now I bow.” He let go of your hand so that you could curtsy as well.

“You did that very well, Miss Bradley. I will be looking forward to see you dance at the debutante ball.” You both glanced to Mr. Davies who was busying himself by packing away his node sheets.

“It was very nice of you to come to my aid. It really improved my dancing.” You thanked him and he nodded. He did indeed also look a little proud of himself.

“No worries. I had a few hours to spare. Which remind me, I think I must take my leave soon.”

“You have business to tend to.” It was not a question but a bold statement from you. He blinked.

“Yes. Of course. Miss Bradley. Mr. Davies.” He greeted and you watched him leave the ballroom yet again. You looked to Mr David who finished packing his briefcase. He gave you a knowing look.

“You need to watch out for that one.”

“Pardon?”

“His reputation is not the best. He is a scarmer. A rake. It would suit you to find someone else to dance with at the ball.” He explained further. You didn’t believe what you were hearing.

“I thought you liked Lord Bridgerton?”

“Oh I do. I have known him since he was a young lad. But that doesn’t mean that I would let him close to my daughter.” He said and raised an eyebrow. “Good day to you, Miss Bradley. let's see here... here are some theories i've fond of

you already mentioned it but jack turning into a smoke creature post-finale. because like, yeah, his death is very fucking similar to what happened to turn smokey into... smokey

david shephard being david austen-littleton when he was alive. the theory that when kate and jack banged before coming back to the island, they conceived a baby. they had a son which kate and claire then raise. along with aaron (making aaron and david brother-cousins!). the limbo world just repurposed david's parentage for the sake of symbolism and stuff, since jack and juliet were a couple in that world. okay so, in limboverse, i believe jack and juliet were made a couple, who then divorced, because in real life they were divorcees but it was like, bad soul crushing divorces. in limbo world, the universe saw fit to be like "what if divorced but amicably? as a treat?" so yeah. and david was given to them to fit that narrative. that and it came across like juliet longed to be a mother in real life but it never happened. so yeah, the universe did some shuffling of david for emotional reasons. but in real life, kate was his bio mom. what helps this is that david is a mini-jack so either one of them could be mama kjhfsjhk. also also! the amount of time between jack and kate banging and the finale? two weeks. thats not enough time to even notice a missed period yet let alone know you're pregnant. so she's in for a surprise when she gets home. i love this because it's like beautiful and angsty. oh, as a side note, evie lilly was actually pregnant in season 6 so her noticeable bloating/pudging up is only helping me!

on this note, the theory that juliet was pregnant when she died. i know it's fucked up but it makes sense. i'm basing this on that one scene where bernard offers her tea with a knowing look on his face and juliet has her hand on her stomach. listen, in media language, a woman resting her hand on her tummy = pregnant

daniel was the one who programmed the looking glass code to be good vibrations. they said a musician did it and he was in dharma. it's not that deep, it's a natural leap to make

i've very fond of the idea that richard is daniel's real biological dad. i have done an essay on this, heres a link. this could never be the case in-universe or at least i wouldn't want it to be because jeremy davies is hella white. buuut in the version of lost in my head? i hold fast to it like it's a fact

it's so hard to reconcile the way eloise is in "flashes before your eyes" and the rest of the show, like they may as well be different characters. so to mildly patch this up, i imagine eloise is one of the people in lost who has powers and hers is to do with... time. or something. i dunno. and maybe the reason the others got her in the first place is because she was a Special Kid, like with walt
