fog - how well do you think you’d do in a zombie apocalypse scenario?

Might be conceited but I think I’d do rather well, at least for a while. I’m not the best at abstract stress but when it comes to situations where I can act, I tend to keep a cool head and do what needs doing. (Recently confirmed by taking care of a near-fire - and avoiding a hefty firefighter fee - at work.) I’d be completely fucked if I lost my glasses though. 

crow - which school subject do you wish you had an aptitude for?

I wish my schools had been better at STEM subjects because I think I could have been good at them, had I only been the slightest bit interested. Unfortunately, checking the pH of water was about as interesting as it got so I never really saw the point.

I have a terrible habit of starting new WIPs and never going any farther, so I’m going to try to list a few and write a short blurb/intro? In no particular order:

1. Songs to Look Back to 

Jen’s daughter, Melly, went missing a year ago. The neighbors think she’s dead. Jen’s not so sure. When she’s contacted by a mysterious person who may have a connection to Melly’s disappearance, Jen goes down a rabbit hole filled with cryptids, clowns, and creatures, and finds that secrets from the past have a way of catching up to her.

Genre: Subtle horror

2. unnamed, but I often refer to the world/story as Luxtrura

Captain Amilia (Mili) Star of the Gentleman’s Guard is preparing for both the crown prince’s coronation and her own wedding. When the late king’s stand-in dies, the revelation that the heir to the throne may actually be the kitchen boy accused of the murder causes an uproar in court. Volunteering to travel with the accused, Mili must find a way to save an innocent life, ensure the correct succession of the throne, and figure out her complex feelings toward her fiance, all while hunted by those who want the truth to stay hidden.

Genre: Low fantasy

3. unnamed Grimm Brothers fairy tale retellings

A practice project to get writing more often! Rewrite Grimm’s fairy tales in an interesting way. Practice writing by switching up characters, creating in-depth backstories, or changing perspectives of well-known (and lesser-known) fairy tales.

4. The Lyre Effect

A young man finds himself on the train through Asphodel with no memories except his name: Achilles. Recruited by Eurydice and her band of discontent souls, Achilles sets out to find the truth behind his life. All is not well in the Underworld, and Achilles and his friends, all of whom are self-proclaimed side characters, find themselves facing the whims of gods and heroes alike to reopen and restore Elysium to the deserving.
