It makes me sad how mlm ships have the most wonderful 400k word fics written about them but I can only ever find oneshots for wlw ships

and don’t get me wrong, the oneshots are stunning and lovely, but I just want a long heart-wrenching fic for my girls too, ya know??

Obsessed with people who critique cozy horror without knowing what it is or the range it has.

Like what is more terrifying than a home that is never safe? What is more devastating than the only one who's shown you love is the one who will hurt you the most? Isn't blood and gore seen in a still morning light more potent than it being diluted in the darkness of night?

Cozy horror isn't "watered down" horror, it's taking things traditionally seen as safe and asking "but what if it wasn't?"

anyway i think more people need to figure out how to separate books to screen adaptations because if you can’t you’re never going to enjoy the screen adaptation. like it’s fun. you can’t hold screen versions to book versions because 1. it’s quite impossible that it will be as good 2. it’s not going to elicit the same feelings as the book (it just never does) 3. time and money are always going to be limitations.

i’m not saying it’s wrong to be upset about things but you severely limit yourself on being able to enjoy it and see the fun little details thrown in and appreciate the actor’s performances etc by holding it to the standard of the books because it will never reach that standard. books become so much more personal for readers than just words on a page and a story you enjoy.

and in the case of shadow and bone, i’m not sure what people expected? they’re putting two storylines that happen in canonically with years i between and merging them into one storyline. of course it’s different, of course liberties were taken.

all in all i think it’s super important to learn to separate the different medias otherwise it’s just going to be heaps of disappointment every time. enjoy them for what they are and don’t put them in a mental prison by ceaselessly comparing it to books. it becomes much more fun of a watch and you’re able to enjoy it.

i say this as someone looking forward to potential adaptations of throne of glass and acotar if they ever make it. they are separate entities. sure i might get a little ruffled if casting is done wrong, or if some of my favorite scenes don’t make the cut, but at the end of the day they’re separate pieces of media to consume and ways to get more content of a thing i love and hold very dear to my heart 🤷🏻‍♀️

Alright guys, I really hate that I have to come on here and kinda lay down the law, but here we are...

My.  Requests.  Are.  CLOSED.  They will remain closed indefinitely.  That doesn’t mean I won’t be writing anything or that I’m dropping off the face of the earth, but I just can’t take requests right now.

I’m in nursing school, I am busy, and as much as I love this blog and writing, school is my priority.  Don’t get me wrong, I love the support some of my recent works have been getting, and I appreciate it greatly.  Likes, comments, and reblogs are ALWAYS welcome.  Hell, come to my inbox and scream about how much you loved a fic if you want.  But PLEASE, stop asking for part 2′s to stuff.

It makes me so happy to know that you guys are enjoying what I’m writing, but you’ve gotta realize that I’m in school, I’m pulling long hours studying, and when I do write something, it’s usually because I have a little extra time and to help me de-stress.

And I understand: you read something you like and you want more, I’ve been there!  But getting a comment that reads: “Part 2...don’t be shy” just makes me feel kinda shitty.

I love you guys, I love this blog, but please remember that I’m a human with a life, and please respect that ❤

Got a new supervisor at work and he’s a totally Corporate Carl. Like the vibe is not there. We seemingly have 0 things in common and his work-style feels like the complete opposite of my last supervisor.

It’s making me so anxious cuz I’ve been dealing with some personal shit since December that my last supe knew about because I felt comfortable telling her and giving her the heads up (mostly because it has the potential to affect my work). This dude…I feel 0 levels of comfort telling him anything.

And that shit makes me so anxious. Like fml.

OH AND THE BEST PART is that he doesn’t even do our job. Like he’s from an outside department. So I’m supposed to count on this guy to support and evaluate me when he doesn’t even know what I do???? HUH?????Why tf couldn’t they hire someone within our own team?

Ugh.

Hello! I love you Jevin Egg disaster au!

I have a question though, what about the gold eggs, granted they aren’t based on any of the hermits but I would like to think that they would be like lucky blocks and spawn any hermit even hermits who weren’t in the egg hunt.

That means and additional 2 stacks (128 eggs) hatching and spawning random hermits lol.

This is a brilliant idea, you have no idea how hyped I just got from that. I was wondering about them for a while and this is just *chefs kiss* excellent.

The only alteration I have is that the ones that hatched are actually the ones that weren't found. I try to stick to that idea not to suddenly have 361 kids flooding the server, that wouldn't end well. So not two stacks per say, but a few deffinetly since they missed so much during that hunt.

Just imagine little Gems, Tangos, Keralises or RENS running around. The little fluffy puppies (´；ω；｀) this would be too cute for me to handle...

I just would leave TFC out of this, this would be so cursed. Let him stay grandpa, grandpa TFC for life
