Was this targeted towards me and my self-deprecation.  I came out here to have a good time and I’m honestly feeling so attacked rn how dare u make me do self introspection.

I am generally very self-aware of things that I make.  I can tell when things r not right!  I believe people call this perfectionism, and this is probably not super good for my self esteem, tbh, but it is super useful when it comes to trying for a second draft/revision. This little bit needs to be a bit higher, this thing is not symmetrical, you fucked up on your grammar here, this is a dangling plot point, you fucked up here, make sure you mention this little thing here.

Sometimes i’m funny.  I can make myself laugh, which makes me feel great. I am very fond of my tendency to mood-whiplash!  i don’t really stay dark and depressing for long - if there is gross sobbing, there is jokes right after!

I can draw things

I can get super-pumped about random things and I really, really love that brief burst of enthusiasm because I’m just like lemme do all the things!  I will try everything! I am invincible! that feels fantastic

can occasionally write inspiring peptalks for myself that, ridiculously enough, actually work

now, this was mentally exhausting and i don’t want to do it again anytime soon.

5樣係機場最唔應該買嘅物品

平時去旅行唔知道大家會唔會係機場買嘢架呢？對於某D朋友來講係機場係一個最後消費嘅好機會，因為一來佢哋可以用埋剩低嘅當地貨幣唔使帶返香港，二來如果未買夠手信俾朋友親戚嘅話又可以喺機場補貨，所以機場商店對於好多人來講都係最後嘅血拼地點。不過以下呢五樣嘢絕對唔應該係機場買，你又知唔知係咩呢？！

1.樽裝水

相信樽裝水係全世界機場最多人會買嘅嘢，不過一般來講機場嘅物價都會比較高，買樽水都貴過人，其實世界上大部份嘅機場都設有飲水機，下次不妨自備水樽，就可以慳錢又環保。

2.外幣找換

有唔少嘅朋友都鍾意喺機場找換外幣，當然係因為方便而且又有保障唔使驚換到假錢，不過其實喺機場兌換一般來講匯率都會比較低，不妨出市中心先再搵一啲有公信力嘅找換店。

3.免稅品

有唔少朋友都鍾意喺機場嘅時免稅店光顧，不過喺發達嘅互聯網世界，好多商品嘅價錢都有機會比免稅店嘅低，所以係免稅店反而有機會買貴咗。

4.書籍雜誌

如果轉機時間比較長嘅朋友都會鍾意喺機場買本書娛樂一下，不過係好多外國機場嘅書籍雜誌都比較貴，而且睇完之後要攞住繼續行程亦都好唔方便，想解悶又方便嘅話不妨考慮吓電子書。

5.紀念品

雖然話就話機場係好多人買唔切手信可以補飛嘅地方，不過事實上你係機場見到嘅手信，大部份都係made in China ，而且價錢比起外面更加起碼貴兩至三倍，值唔值得買真係要諗下啦。

Hi y'all, another life update! I didn't get into med school this year (got waitlisted tho, so that means I'm doing something right at least!). But I'm excited to announce that I'm going to be attending UCSD for my Master's of Science in Bioengineering with Medical Specialization. Kinda a mouthful but it's such a cool program, geared towards engineering students aiming for a career in healthcare (hello :P). I'm also already applying for the 2021-2022 med school application cycle, so fingers crossed this time around. 🤞

Long time no post, y’all!  It’s kinda just been queued reposts for the past year or so, but here’s some original content for a change lol

Quick update on my life: I graduated with bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering and neuroscience this past June.  I’m currently taking an extra anatomy course while working full-time and working on med school applications.  Things in my personal life have gotten a lot better since I last posted, so I’m pretty happy with how things are going right now!  Hope you all are doing well and staying safe during the pandemic :)

Just finished attending my last undergraduate lecture ever at UCLA!  I’ve still got a research paper and a final exam to complete, but then I’m done!  It’s honestly quite an ambiguous feeling, since my last quarter was completely online and I don’t really get an actual commencement yet.  But it’s definitely a big relief to finally be done :)

Long time no post! How are you all adjusting to the remote learning environment? :)

It’s been both good and bad for me. The pros? I don’t have to wake up at 5am to beat traffic. I have time to relax and exercise again. The cons? I now wake up one minute before class starts on Zoom. I also have a probably very unhealthy sleep schedule.

I’m also still working two days a week at the blood center. The hospital never sleeps! If you are healthy, please consider donating blood at your local blood center. But while donating blood is an exception to stay-at-home orders, please exercise caution and stay safe! :)
