For your characters in non-platonic relationships, do they have any cute/unique pet names for each other? Do any have strong opinions about or a strong dislike of certain pet names? (Ex. if you call Emmett "baby" just order your tombstone now.)

I enjoy that you stipulate non-platonic relationships because someone enjoys nicknames to a ridiculous degree…

I have some relationships in Shapeshifter that I’m keeping secret for now, because spoilers, but y’all know by now I’m obsessed with Kerr and Adrien and couldn’t not talk about them if I tried lol.

They have a few pet names for each other, depending on what sort of social setting they’re in. Kerr tends to default to “love”, “a chroí” (my heart, Irish, pronounced ‘uh khree’), or “a stór” (treasure, Irish, pronounced ‘uh store’). Adrien doesn’t use pet names in public, but in private he’ll use “xiǎo bèndàn” (little idiot, Mandarin) or “mon couer” (my heart, French).

Kerr hates the term “baby”, or any of the cutsie terms like “pookie” or “snookums”. Absolutely do not call him that unless you want him to make your life miserable. Adrien is much the same, but he goes further and only really tolerates pet names like “love”, “xīngān” (my heart and liver, Mandarin), “mon amour” (my love, French) because of the perceived weight behind them.

“The Accidental Patient”

When Cain tries to be a hero at a crash scene, he is struck by a car, causing Chastain’s doctors to put aside their personal issues to try and save his life. Conrad and Nic team up to help one of the crash victims, whose secretive past makes it difficult to identify a diagnosis. Meanwhile, Bell brings his TV crew to the hospital in hopes of garnering positive attention for Chastain, and Mina opens up to Nic, only to find out that Nic is holding on to a secret of her own.
