More of this concept
Where thomas goes on antidepressants and the medication manifests as an emotional support dog for virgil.
And of course virgil named her Zero after the doggo in nightmare before Christmas

Are we not going to talk about how ride or die Little is for Ruby?
They saw that the marionette/Penny Sword was important to Ruby and despite not knowing how or why that is they went "ok time to steal!"

UPDATE: Cookie will be getting surgery to remove her leg this Thursday. The procedure will be expensive, so if you can donate, want a kofi sketch or spread the word, we would be forever grateful. Anything helps
Link and More Details Below
Sunday, Cookie jumped off the bed and after a moment, started screaming in pain, refusing to put any weight on her front left leg. We rushed her to the vet and they did an Xray. They found that she had several hairline fractures caused either by a fungal infection or cancer.
The best course of action is amputation as the infection is on her upper leg bone and not in her chest cavity. If left alone with just pain medication, the bone would continue to weaken and break. She's still so full of life and Faye's (my fiancee) ESA (Emotional Support Animal).
Apparently, this isn't entirely uncommon with greyhounds and they're able to recover and adapt as tripods, so we're relieved we're not alone in this, but it's still an emotional roller coaster that we're still processing.
Cookie is on medication to help her be as comfortable as possible until Thursday and we're keeping an eye on her. Thank you again if you donate and/or reblog. For any kindness you may give, we can't thank you enough.
If you'd like to donate to my kofi, here's the link. Please specify if you'd like a sketch (anything $10 or more and please keep it simple) and I'll get to it as soon as I can:

I have never been so desperate, but my cat’s life is on the line. I will give out any verifying info needed, I’ll post invoices, I’ll do whatever I can but… this is my Halloween and I don’t want my finances to be why my cat doesn’t live.
Please share if you can’t donate! 🙏

This owl captured a child's stick horse and carries it around the town.
For those of you questioning if the owl is hurt or "entangled" in the stick horse....we have no reason to believe this is the case as we witnessed the owl moving the horse around and even changing it's grip on it at one point....this owl is part of a family of owls that have been in the neighborhood for about 6 months now, and this is one of the young owls...if someone sees that the owl is in danger or believes it is hurt, I'm sure the proper authorities would be contacted...
Its his emotional support hobby horse; leave him alone.

Anthony: Uhh.. what the fuck just happened? I don’t know how but I feel like you just made [inaudible] Frank: If the next thing isn’t pants, we’re gonna have a problem. Anthony: Like a little [inaudible] comes up. Tell you what: those are some nice slippies. Frank: Thank you. Sorry, so as I was saying it’s hard to find something for me that’s more on brand than losing your medication in the mosh pit of the  L.S. Dunes show. Which then - and this is probably why I messed up a little part of the song that we just played because I was thinking like, instead of merch booth, we should just have a pharmacy in the back. If something happens and you need.. Anthony: A psychiatrist? Frank: Yeah! Anthony: A trauma therapist.  Frank: It’s like a fucking Peanuts cartoon, really.  Anthony: Even like a support, like an emotional support animal, with bubbles.  Frank: Yes, oh fuck yes! We’d have to play at a really low volume if we have an emotional support animal. Anthony: We can put him in a little booth. We’ll figure it out later!

I haven't gotten him an official letter yet from my doctor but i plan to, but anyways heres my unofficial emotional support bun, his name is Baxton and my mom found him running around lost in the street and nobody seemed to be missing him so we kept him. getting up every morning and taking care of him and letting him out of his pen to run around and hang out has done more to help with my executive dysfunction than any medication or therapy, he's the sweetest little boy and loves being pet on his head and will push his head into your hand to ask for pets, he's my good little baby and i dont know what i'd do without him.

Important information for those not familiar with service dogs:
Don't touch or pet without permission.
Do not remove a service dog from a passed out person, even if they are resting on top of them. That may be the dog’s job during an episode, so just call an ambulance.
Do not let children pet service dogs without permission, It's usually best to tell them you shouldn't pet at all because the dog is at work.
Emotional support animals are not the same as service dogs and are not medically necessary.
Any dog that sits in a shopping cart or purse is not a service dog.
There are idiots out there who fake service dogs, but don't accuse people of faking if you don't know how training is done.
Although service dogs are well trained, their work can be interfered with by loud noises and especially untrained, faked service or emotional support dogs being in spaces expected to only allow service dogs and no other animals. This is especially prevalent in Walmart and other public spaces.
Service dogs are still dogs, if you see one in public with someone it's best to leave the dog alone completely. Even merely making eye contact with the dog can distract it and cause him or her to miss something important. Dogs are very susceptible to human eye contact, it's in their DNA.
And of course don't try to feed them or talk to them while they are on duty.
ALSO
Some service dogs are trained to smell or otherwise detect specific disorders and alert their human in any number of ways. For example, if someone with diabetes blood sugar is too low/high, their dog can smell that and may alert them by laying their head on the human's foot. If a service dog does it's alert to you or anyone who is not the owner of the dog, you should go to the doctor to get checked out because it's possible it's a real alert that the dog sensed in you.
Thank you doggies!

Alright, folks. Signal boosting this one from scratch, because a rather dire situation is at hand.
A very dear friend of mine has lost their emotional support animal, a wonderfully round feline princess named Artemis, and we all believe this has gone on long enough. She slipped through a door one evening over a month ago and hasn't returned since. She is a very smart cat and only four years old, so there's no reason to believe she's succumbed to the outside, but winters up north can get brutal and the season is fast approaching.
Artemis is chipped, spayed, and has had all her shots. She plays with red straws and is a big fan of canned anything, and her human half wants her back very badly. If you're in or around the Ohio area, specifically around Lemoyne, keep an eye out for this precious fluff and please, message me immediately.

Reblog this if you can, we can't rely solely on fliers that get torn down or posted over.

there isn't an epidemic of disability faking for the most part, but I do need people to understand there absolutely is an epidemic of faking or exaggerating the need for an emotional support animal that's hurting genuine ESA handlers. ESAs are no longer allowed on many airlines because people abused the airlines' accommodations to the point where it became a hazard to other passengers. Many people don't believe ESAs are necessary and think the law should be adjusted to exclude them, and fake handlers are a huge reason for this. Many colleges and landlords are reluctant to allow ESAs and are increasing the complication of their processes to weed out fake handlers.
Pretending to need an ESA to get into an apartment you want, bring your pet to college, bring your pet on an airplane, etc is ableist and on the same level as faking needing a service dog. ESAs aren't pets. They're assistance animals for disabled people. You're taking advantage of laws that are meant to keep disabled people safe and using them for your own personal gain. You can choose to live in a pet-friendly apartment. Some people who use ESAs can't, especially those of us who have limited mobility. I need to choose an apartment on the first floor I can easily add a ramp to, and if that apartment happens to be pet-unfriendly, I need to activate my rights under the fair housing act to keep my ESA with me. You can wait until you get home from college or a trip to see your pet. I'm at high risk of suicide if I'm away from my ESA for more than a week or two. I also think it's fucked up that landlords and colleges are allowed to tell you that you can't have a pet, but you're not fighting the system by faking an ESA, you're punching down at disabled people.
I do want to understand and acknowledge the current housing and cost of living crisis. If you are in dire straits and have chosen to fake needing an ESA as a way to keep you and your pet housed in a homeless shelter or affordable housing, I'm not going to stop you. I understand that surrendering your beloved pet would be traumatic and I don't wish that on anyone. However, I do need to emphasize the importance of being an absolute model citizen if you do this. Fix any vomiting, pottying, or destruction issues with your pet as quickly as possible to avoid being seen as destructive. Know the rights of an ESA and handler under the fair housing act and don't demand more than you're legally owed. Make sure you yourself aren't destroying property or breaking rules as you might negatively affect the overall image of ESA handlers. Keep your head down, basically. And only do it if you're certain you've exhausted all other options.
