A Song of Ice and Fashion- House Tyrell
ft. the hairstyles from my other series
I wanted the Tyrell’s and the reach to wear a lot of pastels and floaty fabrics since it’s described as being really warm all the time. I went with a regency style since the regency era is known for being romantic and flowery also the fabrics are perfect for warm weather since they allow sweat to evaporate really easily. I also just really like the empire waist for the Tyrell’s since it would be really uncomfortable for a warm weather area to have tight fabric along the entirety of the torso.

Regency Mermaid
This one went super fast. I saw a portrait, felt inspired and away I went! On a different note I will be effectively unreachable in August, don’t worry nothing too dramatic is happening, but due to unforeseen circumstances I’ll be taking a social media break for a bit. So if you are looking for me, want to ask a question, or have a commission idea, I won’t be able to respond until the very end of August. I hope you have a great month, and I’ll see you later! 💖💖💖

Green chemise dress with apron
Early 1800s, Napoleonic era
The cut of the chemise dress was simple. This meant that more women could sew their own dresses. The common people, who could not afford to go to a tailor, therefore had the opportunity to follow fashion to a greater extent. The green chemise dress was probably used both for everyday life and parties.
The chemise dress comes with a white apron. The white apron was probably used for parties, while the variegated one was used for everyday life.

Yes, have fun with some close looks at the clothes--did empire-waist dresses ever look nicer?--and discussion with the designer for this series which takes off from Jane Austen’s unfinished novels.

'PEARL' 60s Mini Dress, with Bell Sleeves, by Cálle Modista
This beautiful late 1960s hippie dress is made from a teal cotton velvet fabric by Truly Sumptuous ( this is slightly lighter than shown in the photographs) and vintage deadstock 1960s polyester with a stunning baroque paisley pattern in green, purple and blue on a creamy white background.
- Empire Waist, the bodice is made from teal velvet and has gathers under the bust, designed to fit high under the bust.
- Scoop neckline
- The skirt is made from vintage deadstock polyester with an A line hem and has light shaping for the waist and hips giving it a beautiful and flattering fit.
- The long bell sleeves are also made from vintage polyester with a band in teal velvet at the hem. The band is 1.5 inches deep.
This is an authentic late 1960s hippie style, perfect for the spring or autumn
