20 questions for fic writers

I was tagged by @thelordofgifs and @zealouswerewolfcollector, thank you!

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 163, all since 2018 except one from 2013.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 1,117,051 (how?)

3. What fandoms do you write for? Whatever I'm hyperfixated on, so currently Dragonlance/The Last Trial, I have not abandoned my Silmarillion fics I swear, the last few fandoms were The Witcher, Shadowhunters, etc.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? wolves and voices (Witcher) by far, then take me back to the start (Shadowhunters), Didn't the trees tell us their stories? (Witcher), map out a world (Shadowhunters), straight through the smoke (Shadowhunters). They're not necessarily my best either, just a combo of larger fandoms and some of them being fairly old.

5. Do you respond to comments? I try to respond to every comment, though I often lack the energy and I've been known to respond six months late.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I usually only write unhappy ending in ficlets, so probably Lord of Nothing (Silm) or we'd laugh at the ghosts of our fears (Silm)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

if I am to braid my mystic crown (Silm) has a particularly happy ending I guess?

take me back to the start (Shadowhunters) has perhaps not the happiest ending but the one I'm most proud of.

8. Do you get hate on fics? I have gotten hate before, though nothing extreme. Those comments are just people being obvious jerks though, I find them easier to deal with than people who "helpfully" offer concrit and make you doubt everything you've ever written.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I've been known to write fusions, not crossovers so much, though Rats And Sand Jars is a crack Encanto/Shadowhunters treated seriously.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? I think I've had someone ask before if they could, but I never heard anything more.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I don't ship tbh. But if we're talking about a couple I still think about and miss years later, maybe Thunderblink (The Gifted).

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? SO MANY OMG. The one I regret abandoning the most is perhaps the time we've been given (Shadowhunters).

16. What are your writing strengths? Stream of consciousness-style writing, otherwise dialogue I guess? And writing disabled characters.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? English. It's not my native language and my active vocabulary is restricted no matter how large my passive vocabulary is. Also humor isn't my strongest suit.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? In my own fics I'll try not to write more than a few words. In other people's fic, my opinion depends entirely on whether I can read that language xD

19. First fandom you wrote for? Uuuuh depends what counts as fandom and what counts as writing. First fandom I posted a fic for was Harry Potter, way back when I was a teen writing in French on ffnet. But I wrote roleplays/cooperative fanfic on forums before that and also stuff for school that was totally fanfic.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? take me back to the start (Shadowhunters) if we're talking longfics. On the shorter side I'm quite proud of your veins are empty of dust (Silm).

It took months and two episodes of Interview with the vampire to understand the tragedy of what happened with book! Malec because of camille.

She was so cruel and manipulative, played on the young boy's insecurities. The way this makes more sense to me now is that she made alec (want) to take his immortality. She's a mf vampire, even sweet Simon got to learn fast how to encanto in the show.

she detangled his reality: he loves the man, he has insecurities, he's young. She put a mirage of a solution in front of him to. And he found himself revisiting that mirage over and over.

I do not remember what happened that well but it makes sense. If he didn't give her what she wanted, she'd still want to see something burn, enter magnus knowing about the meetings.

I am yet still amazed at how forgiving Magnus Bane is and thankful for this fact.

These books I swear.. you just can't read one series and leave the other, you'd miss soo much. Thank God I've read tales from the shadowhunters academy because the version of alec there is priceless 💖 all sassy, full of life, opinions, character, wit and compassion.

Still haven't read the red scroll yet, hopefully starting 2023 with it may bring me some much needed dopamine and serotonin lol

A day in the life - Pama Milo au short drabble

Post movie -

8:20: am

After Camilo opens his eyes he quickly pops his head up and jumps off t

he bed heading to his bathroom. After freshening up he quickly sneaks to the nursery to wake up or meet Antonio and Mirabel. Why are they up this early?

Well, milo would be darned before everyone he nearly hates or dislikes wakes up (*cough* alma *cough* Isabela *cough cough* pepa and Felix *cough*) AND Antonio has to sit between two of those hated people (pepa and alma)? No thank you he’s already on thin ice with everybody ESPECIALLY Abuela

He quietly nocks on the door trying not to wake up all-hearing Dolores. The door opens he’s quickly snatched in by Antonio.

“Papa!” he whispered excitedly pulling Camilo into a tight hug

“Hey mi hijito, did you sleep well?” Camilo asked returning the hug

“Uh-huh, did you?”

“Of course, mijo now are you ready for the day?” he asked excitedly

“Yes” tonito raised his armed in excitement, he got to spend another day with his papa

“Mira did you pack everything?” he asked looking up at her

“Arepas, toys, bottles, blankets all set” she replied with a smile

9: 00 am

During breakfast, Antonio sat in between Camilo and Mira making sure he was close to them. Pepa was surely confused by this but couldn’t say anything because alma was talking to her.

Cami let Antonio know that he didn’t need to speak to any of them today, and as all ways, only a good morning was said to Antonio. He didn’t really care. Nor did mira ad milo, less conversation meant less time to waste.

While alma was busy talking about nonsense as always. Camilo was busy saying little jokes about her to mira and tonito. It was so hard for them not to laugh but they managed

The only time the trio actually cared about the other madrigals’ presence is when “familia madrigal” was shouted because that meant it was time to go.

After breakfast, the trio sped to the village far away from alma’s or any other madrigal’s line of vision. Camilo has special signals that he likes to show to the kids in Encanto to let them know to follow him. The first signal is a bunny signal; the bunny signal means follow, the 2nd signal is Camilo holding two fingers up and moving them back and forth; this signal means an emergency.

When the trio and the little ones were far on the east side of Encanto After Camilo was tackled by his children and was showered with lots of love and affection. Some of the kids said that they missed him, even though it’s been less than 12 hours.

“Papa, what took you so long?” Cecilia shouted happily

“We missed you” Juancho hugged his papa tightly

“I know I know I missed you too” Camilo chuckled, he still questions whether these kids are a dream or not because of how much they love him as if he were their actual father/mother.

“Tonio we missed you too” Alejandra yelled cheerfully pulling tonito into a warm embrace

“I missed you guys too” he replied returning the hug

“Is it just me or did we see them yesterday?” Mirabel whispered slyly

“Heh, ok now where are my little babies?” he asked looking around for the two babies Miranda and Bernadino

“Their right here,” Elena stood up with the two babies in her hand

“Thank you Mija, give me Berna and put miran in the back. Mira can you help her?” he asked putting Miranda in his front pouch

“Already on it” Mirabel loved helping milo with the kids, they are so sweet and kind. Plus she likes being an older sister to them. “So what do you guys?"

“I wanna play tag”

“I wanna play hide and seek”

“How about freeze tag?”

“Duck duck goose”

“Soccer”

“Let’s go play with the band”

“Woah Woah Woah ok, we can do all of those things but first let’s dooooo…hmmm freeze tag”

The “small” family had a full schedule of just good old-fashioned fun for the day, and right now they were just getting started. The first game was freeze tag, then regular tag, after that was duck duck goose, and later was soccer (which Camilo is the best at). Time had passed and it was soon lunchtime.

While the kids were playing Camilo snuck away to the old house he, Mirabel, and some of the village put together. It may be old but it has a lot of memories in it. When he was finished setting the table and such he walked upstairs to the bell tower and once he reached it he rang it signaling lunchtime.

A hoard of kids came rushing to the house, in a nearby window Camilo saw them coming and laughed

<” they're always so hungry”> he thought to himself

“Hi pa- Camilo” Antonio has to remember that he can’t call Camilo papa unless Dolores is in her room sleeping.

“Hi tonito, I’ll be right with you just let me sit Berna and miran down”

“Ok” Antonio chirped, running to the kitchen table and having a seat.

Once Berna and Miran were settled in their high chairs Mira started feeding Miran with his bottle while Camilo grabbed her a plate of food. They both have this thing where Mira feeds one baby while eating and Camilo feeds another baby while eating.

“Cocada Blancas, yay!” Maria squealed in excitement

“I know it’s your favorite Mija, the rest of you don’t have a problem with it, do you? A bunch of no’s, nopes, and nuh uh’s were shouted out.

“So Antonio, what do you want to do after we’re done with lunch?” Juancho asked shoving food in his mouth

Antonio thought to himself “ooh let’s play hide and seek, is that ok cami?”

“ uh Yeah” that’s all Camilo could say with food in his mouth

After lunch was over the family continued playing until it was time to go home, Camilo and mira hated this part of the day but they all have to back to their biological families.

“Bye papa, see you tomorrow”

“Bye mira”

“Bye papa”

“we love you bye”

Camilo and Mira waved them goodbye, these children are so wonderful it’s a shame they have to leave.

Milo and Mira take their time walking to casita. They are in no hurry to see whatever chaos has cooked up in there. And besides there’s an adorable sight to marvel at.

"he's so adorable" she whispered with delight

"I know right" Camilo looked down at Antonio, he slept so peacefully. And his little snores? so adorable.

"we're gonna have to wake him up aren't we?" He already knew the answer but he didn't want it to be true.

"yeah YOU have to wake him up" she replied sarcastically

Camilo gave her the most unamused and annoyed look anyone has ever seen.

"let's just take our time ok?" Camilo asked with exhaustion and sadness in his voice

"you know Pepa and alma are going to be upset right?" Mirabel asked

"right now, I don't care"

Sony Classical se complace en anunciar el lanzamiento del Summer Night Concert 2023 con la Filarmónica de Viena junto al director Yannick Nézét-Séguin y la Mezzo-soprano Elīna Garanča como solista. Disponible en CD el 30 de junio y en DVD y Blu-ray el 14 de julio.

El Summer Night Concert tuvo lugar el pasado jueves 8 de junio con 55.000 visitantes.

El director de orquesta Yannick Nézet-Séguin y la mezzosoprano Elīna Garanča debutaron en el Concierto Nocturno de Verano interpretando una excelente selección de obras orquestales y arias populares de ópera, desde el romanticismo francés hasta el impresionismo. Como bis, la Filarmónica de Viena interpretó el famoso Wiener Blut de Johann Strauss (hijo).

Se trata de un acontecimiento anual al aire libre, que se celebra desde 2008. El parque del Palacio de Schönbrunn, en Viena/Austria, se convierte en el mágico escenario del concierto. Gracias a su entorno, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, en el parque barroco de Schönbrunn con el palacio como telón de fondo, el Concierto Nocturno de Verano añade a su magnífica calidad musical un gran encanto visual. Este acontecimiento representa la música clásica en su máxima expresión. Millones de espectadores y oyentes de más de 80 países podrán seguir el concierto por Internet, televisión y radio. Este año, la Filarmónica de Viena dedicó el concierto a las obras del Romanticismo francés al Impresionismo. El evento fue presentado por primera vez por el maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin y la mezzosoprano Elīna Garanča, que interpretaron tres arias de Carmen de Georges Bizet, Sapho de Charles Gounod y Samson et Dalila de Camille Saint-Saëns. También se estrenó una composición de Lili Boulanger, una conmovedora representación de la naturaleza realizada por la joven compositora que se convirtió en la primera mujer ganadora del prestigioso Premio de Roma en 1913. El director canadiense Yannick Nézet-Séguin ha trabajado con varias de las principales orquestas del mundo y mantiene una estrecha colaboración con la Wiener Philharmoniker, la Berliner Philharmoniker, la Bayerischer Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester y la Orquesta de Cámara de Europa. La antigua tradición de 181 años de la Filarmónica de Viena se remonta a 1842, cuando Otto Nicolai dirigió un Gran Concierto con todos los miembros del imperial "Hof-Operntheater". Este evento se llamó originalmente "Academia Filarmónica" y se considera el origen de la orquesta. Desde su fundación, la orquesta ha sido gestionada por el comité administrativo -un órgano elegido democráticamente- y trabaja con autonomía artística, organizativa y financiera. Todas las decisiones se toman de forma democrática durante la asamblea general de todos los miembros.
