I always underestimate how easy it can be to entertain a teenager. I have this preconception that small kids find everything fun even mundane stuff while teens are jaded and self-conscious and need elaborate or cool activities, but my teen cousins are visiting this week and when they arrived I was in the greenhouse having an issue with the filter in one of the tanks, so I asked them if they could catch all the fish from one tank and move them to the other tank, and they were delighted to be given little dip nets and sit on the edge of the tank to hunt fish for 20min. As I asked them to do it I was thinking, it’s like those duck-fishing fairground games from when they were toddlers, they’ll probably think it’s a bit cringe, and five minutes into it these jaded teenagers were like, hey it’s like duck fishing at the funfair when we were toddlers, I've missed it, it’s fun :D

I had a dream when I began working on the Playfellow Exhibition. Wally Darling was sitting at the foot of my bed with a rotary phone in front of him, ringing away. It looked just like the little toy phone we were restoring for the exhibit. It kept ringing. Wally stared at me like he was waiting for me to pick up the phone. Just staring, unblinking. The phone ringing and ringing. I couldn't move. I couldn't figure out how to move and pick up the phone. He kept waiting. I couldn't pick up the phone.

What do your elder scrolls ocs wear when not in armor or battle robes? Casual outfits!

Jo usually just wore the Fine Clothes uncle Sheo gave him in that quest, with the cool Mage's Circlet from Savos Aren. Nay got her dress (Belted Tunic) from uncle Alvor's "Help yourself to whatever you need" gift basket. Dubak got a Blacksmith's Apron. I can't recall where he got it... cough, yeah.

Acelta wore variety of Mage's Robes that does fashion damage to Haskill. (after finding out the secret side effect he stopped wearing them)

Unpopular opinion: a lot of Imogen's charactarization doesn't make sense to me considering the context of Exandria. Why would people act like Imogen talking in their heads is something fantastical when is an ability that many people have and no one ever thought it was weird during the other campaigns (so u imagine is even a bit common). It's kinda like when people try to bring homophobia into CR when, in the conext of the worldbuilding, doesn't make sense

I actually disagree on this one! Sending usually requires you know the person and is very limited in how much you can say, and we did see people react negatively to Jester; but also she frequently messaged fairly high-level mages. (FCG has also gotten some negative responses from people who were unlikely to regularly get Sending).

Telepathy like what Imogen has, as something free and unlimited? That's actually quite rare, and more importantly, it's really rare if you are a random mundane shopkeeper. Like, it actually does make complete sense to me that Percy, despite being an important person who probably receives Sendings from Allura and Pike with some regularity, is unnerved by Imogen just talking telepathically. Frankly it is also weird how much she just...does it to people for no reason. Like, Sending and Message and Rary's Telepathic Bond are typically at a distance, and Imogen will just randomly start talking to people mentally mid-sentence for non-secret statements simply because she can. Even if you're used to telepathic conversation it's going to make people wonder what she's up to.

Sometimes, they wondered where would they be if they didn't dedicate themself to their cause. If they took up a profession, where they didn't have to deal with immense dangers involved. Perhaps, plenty of things would go differently.

However, they wouldn't regret any of it. Sure, they had gotten trapped or kidnapped yet they always made it through. Saw it through no matter how tough their situation could get.

And maybe they could be a little foolish for doing what they do. But hey if they managed to help people. . . their safety was negligent. After all: it proved to be a simple price, which they would pay over and over again.

Back in their apartment, their ally tended to their wounds. Dabbing a wet cloth over wounded spots, cleaning it up as much as she could.

"You know," she said, grabbing a piece of gauze. "We'd have more nights of leisure if you didn't get back bleeding. I thought you'd have learned to lessen it by now."

"If those people didn't insist on stabbing or shooting at me," they replied with a heavy sigh. "I'm sure I wouldn't be stuck with it. But hey, they believe draining blood outta my system is gonna stop me."

She snorted, shaking her head. "I swear, you're just finding an excuse to be a martyr, eh."

"Then why bother sticking around?" they asked, arching a brow. They rubbed a hand over a gauze wrapped around a bruise on their elbow. "I mean if you got a problem with it, you can walk out."

They tried making it sound like a joke yet some seriousness slipped out. She lowered her arm, bowing her head. She gulped and set the cloth down onto a table.

Crap, they thought as regret engulfed them. They probably shouldn't have said. . .

When she peered up at them, her lips tilted into a small grin.

"Because I don't have much better to do," she answered dryly with a brief shrug. "Besides. . . who else can I stop from making bad decisions? Don't think I can find anyone else like you."

With a roll of their eyes, they threw a light punch at her upper arm. She burst out cackling

Even if they keep crashing down, a pair of arms were prepared to catch them. Keeping them. . . secured and reassured. That they weren't alone and they had an ally, who would be there for them. Whether they fell apart or get torn at the seams, they knew they wouldn't have to be alone. And damn, they were so lucky to have someone, steadfast and loyal, by their side.

It happened to be pivotal to them especially since they had to get people out of a building. It had been hit by a laser beam and they had to evacuate most of those who had been in it. If they didn't have a team, they wouldn't have done the job at all.

However, they had been slow at escaping themself. But the sound of concrete cracking set them on edge, freezing them on where they stood.

Before it could crumble on them, a whirlwind of a silhouette shoved them to the other side. Rolling along with them.

They tried catching their breath, turning their head at the person beside them. Only for their eyes to widen at their ally, who propped herself up on an elbow.

"You dumbass," she hissed, scowling. Her face crumpled. "You ought to be more careful, you know!"

"Sorry," they murmured, wincing at sharp sensation searing at their sides. "I would. . . I would have. . . but. . . thank you."

"Don't thank me just yet." She scrambled to her feet, dusting her jacket and t-shirt. She stretched a hand out. "C'mon. . . you got a job to finish. After that, you're required to rest. No complaints."

Their lips quirked up at the corners. "Yeah. . . no problem."

As her posture relaxed, she reached for their elbow. Guiding them to where those civilians had been brought to safety.

Allo! This one is gonna be probably a long post. and I apologize from now for my potentially shitty descriptions😭 All can be found on my Maxiel Masterlist 1 and Masterlist 2. I do have a lot of stories, but I'll only talk about the ones that feature the most in my ask box currently.

Lets start with Enchanted AU - Daniel is a Disney Princess with magical powers. Max is Max. They meet in Monaco and Max is confused and in love. fluffy, funny, tooth rottingly cute

De-Aged Daniel AU- Daniel gets Exchanged with a younger version of himself (as of right now, he is 5yrs old). Max is Max. Max is taking care of Little Daniel, Older Daniel is at his Parents' house in the past. Currently a prompt fic, and i am woefully behind

Tennis AU - Daniel is a Tennis Pro, Max is Max. They meet at the Monaco GP. Very feral and horny for each other. Horny wag daniel before horny wag Daniel AU

Horny Wag Daniel - Max is Max, Daniel is a model/influencer/we never really fleshed that out. Only lives as tumblr ask prompts. Actually feral about each other. Turns marketing people's lives upside down (i hope that link works)

Sponsor Max AU - Max is a high powered/wealthy Vcarb sponsor. Daniel is Daniel. Max is obsessed about Daniel and uses his power, wealth and influence to get what he wants. fairly dubcon. currently (using this loosely) being written as an actual story but most lives in tumblr ask prompts

Harem Verse- ok so the problem with this one, we went through so many different prompts before it became a harem that theres no reasonable way to tag this properly (sorry). They're all drivers, except Josh. Daniel has like 5 boyfriends on the grid- Max, Lewis, Carlos, Charles, George. And then Josh. this started out as like a jealous Max over pregnant Daniel verse and spiralled into its own universe of beautiful chaos

Alpha Max vs Grid Kids - unfortunately I don't remember the actual tag for this one, but essentially its Alpha Max complaining that Omega Daniel is spending too much time taking care of his grid kids (Oscar, Liam, Jack, Logan and Zhou i think) and neglecting him and then eventually became the grid kids claiming Max as their grid dad

Adore You Verse - Mafia/Organized Crime AU. Daniel and Max are high ranking members of their organizations. Action fics, 95,523 words. Daniel deals with a lot of isolation and grief in parts

Reclamation AU - Angsty, slow burn, getting back together. Alt universe where no one is a driver. Max and Daniel had a really bad break up, and they eventually make up. 73,191 words

Mob Wife Daniel - Max is a bodyguard, Daniel is the wife of Chr*stian, a high ranking mob boss. Originally an poly pairing but for obvious reasons we strayed from that and actually kinda strayed from this au all together. Mobwife Daniel is very unhinged and dangerous and Max loves it

There are two possible ways for a hunter to get enchanted weapons/objects. They either have to get them blessed by a priest (powerful enchantment) or bless them themselves (basic enchantment)

If a priest enchants a weapon or object, the holy magic is quite powerful and can last up to a few days. But it takes a lot of resources and time to enchant an object/weapon so a priests blessing isn't as common or easily "handed out"

For a hunter to bless their own weapon/object they have to go through training and learn the incantations. These usually last from 30 minutes to four hours and are about half as powerful as priest blessed objects (strength depends on the hunters personal connection to holy magic). The incantations also take a minute or two to chant, which is risky if chosen to use in the midst of a battle.

Well from your recent posts I've gathered that you are not a Big (with a capital B yes) fan of A Boss and a Babe so it's probly safe to say this . The reason i haven't watched this series is bcz I find the leads eerily similar looking?? Like if not siblings but atleast like distant cousins ??? Idk why but i can't unsee it now. Help .

Oh I don't think they look alike at all. Sorry, I don't know how to help you.

Maybe focus on specific features? Think of it like you were sketching them as a portrait artist? Like they have different mouth shape, eye shape/placement, cheekbones, and hair lines. Force (left) has a thinner straighter mouth more sculpted, slightly higher more prominent cheekbones, much heavier lidded eyes (he looks sultry and sleepy most of the time), slightly broader nose, longer face over all, and a prominent Adam's apple.

Book (right) has more delicate and finer features, his face is more heart-shaped and proportions are different (where his features fall on his face), smaller slightly pouty mouth, thinner nose, slightly rounder cheeks, close but less deep-set eyes. He's also lighter skinned. For all these reasons he's cast as the uke in their shows, as they are pretty much the same height, age (Book is actually a little older), and deferential politeness IRL, it could have gone either way.

If you're still struggling, there could be more/other reasons for this.

There is something called the Cross-race effect which may be impacting you. (The way to train your brain out of this one is to just keep watching tons of dramas, fashion, MVs made by cultures not your own. More info and discussion on this in this episode of All in the Mind podcast: The human drive to connect – and divide)

There's also Prosopagnosia to consider, although that's a lot rarer than modern peeps make it out to be.

I've also always felt like Dunbar's number may come into play with this kind of thing too. Like perhaps the human brain just has a limited max capacity for facial recognition storage.

So you might do better if you focus on their mannerisms and way of speaking which are completely different. (Siblings usually share vocality and mannerisms especially if they were raised together.) Body language and their way of holding themselves, smiles, eye crinkles, use of eyebrows, etc... Very few actors can move on from these tells.

Book has a more mobile face (which is why he suits comedy so well) but Force's is more emotive and expressive in nuance. He's uses more micro-movements, like little eye crinkles and a little crooked smile.

Their voices are very similar, but Force's is more burred, and a little more monotone (rare in Thai). He has a mellow soft way of speaking especially around the ubiquitous krap. Book has a rounder, wetter way of speaking, his kraps are more sharp and clipped.

All that said, IMHO you don't have to bother to watch either of ForceBook's series. So far this pair has been ill served by GMMTV. So if it wigs you out, there is plenty other, better BL.

Also if you want to actually watch a BL where the characters are some iteration of siblings, I'm sure Japan is there for you. If not, there's always the stepbrothers trope...

I have to say, I tend to way MORE annoyed when characters in a show who are meant to be siblings look absolutely nothing alike. Like bone-structure level "qua?" I know blood siblings don't always look alike, but they rarely look so completely different as we often get in TV or film the world over.

Way back, I did a series of actors in BL who I thought SHOULD play brothers and these are my favorites:

Mark Siwat Jumlongkul and War Wanarat Ratsameerat.

Now those two boys look related. To me, anyway.

If you can totally forget that there's a book behind it, the Ella Enchanted movie has kind of a fun Shrek-y mid-2000s tween girl movie vibe to it. And Anne Hathaway was pretty good casting for Ella.
