On the orders of the president Muhammadu Buhari, the military and police shot at unarmed protesters who were peacefully protesting for an end against police brutality. They shut off the lights and cctv, using the darkness to commit atrocities against their fellow citizens. We stand in solidarity with the brave Nigerians who are fighting for change against an oppressive regime. They are being martyred in this revolutionary struggle to make Nigeria better for future generations. We will not forget. Rest in peace to the innocents who have lost their lives in this bloodshed 💔💔

Yesterday, the governor of Lagos state, @jidesanwoolu imposed a 4pm curfew to stifle peaceful protests against nation-wide police brutality, corruption and bad governance in Nigeria. This came amidst video footage of state-funded thugs being exploited to incite violence and discredit the #endsars movement; as well as the removal of CCTV cameras and an intentional power outage at the main protest site, Lekki Toll Gate. The curfew was extended till 9pm with little notice but by 7pm, the military opened fire on peaceful protesters, many of who were sat holding hands, singing the national anthem and waving the flag. As of this morning, it is estimated that about 78 people were killed in this state-sanctioned violence. The governor and the military have denied any casualties. To stoop this low is a clear sign of a government with no regard for human, a government with the sole intention of advancing the interests of its incumbents and not the people it should be serving – a failed government. Amongst the youth murdered and injured yesterday are likely some of the most marginalized of Nigerians, so disenfranchised they put their loves on the line in this selfless act of patriotism. ‘Prepare For Christmas Attacks– ISWAP Send Letters To Adamawa Communities A breakout faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State in West African Province (ISWAP) has sent a threat letter to some communities in Adamawa State. News reports that the terrorists warned the communities about an impending attack during the Christmas period. It was gathered that the insurgents dropped the letters in public places around communities. A resident of Michika, Shehu Kambile told Sahara Reporters that “yes, threat letters were dropped in Bazza and Michika towns. The terrorists have warned of an impending attack on our communities during Christmas festivities. “As it is, our people have been terrified because the terrorists have earned a reputation of carrying out their threat anytime they make one. Should that threat happen, it would be more devastating because of the current hardship occasioned by the prevailing bad economy in the country. “We’re praying and hoping the military and other operatives would deploy intelligence so as to nip it in bud.” When contacted, Brigade Commander, 23 Brigade Yola, Aminu Garba, stated that Bazza and Michika towns are not under his jurisdiction. He said: “Please contact Commander 28 Brigade Chibok. They are not under my Brigade. I’m not aware.
