He didn't need to know the details, didn't need to invade upon another's privacy without their consent, but later the great sage might find a carefully decorated box containing soothing tea, custom blend and kept hot, an array of baked goods, and some fresh fruits. A silent offer, or perhaps something else.

The discovery of the intricate and beautifully decorated box had caught the Great Sage off guard, having not expected to find such waiting for him at the entrance of his little hut. Glancing around quickly to see if whoever had delivered it was lingering around — a tad silly to think they would've but it didn't hurt to check. When no one could be discovered with the quick search, he delicately lifted the box into his grasp and headed inside to see what he had been gifted.

No sooner had he did he find the contents — a soothing snack to help quell his nerves and settle his mood. The warm tea a dead giveaway to him to who had delivered this to him. A warm and soft smile passing his lips, a brisk but soft chuckle leaving him at the realization. Leave it to Sandy to sense something had been amiss and offer a way to sooth the negative turmoil the Great Sage was feeling. The Big Guy just seemed to have a sixth sense for that sort of thing.

Removing the contents and settling them down on his table as he took a seat, reaching for the tea first. Letting the smell waft over him with that intoxicating aroma — taking a deep inhale and letting it sooth him as it washed over him. A sigh leaving him that was full of content in the moment, bringing the cup up to his lips and having a taste. Of course the flavor that hit his taste buds was divine — he didn't even think Heaven could make a more wonderful blend such as this. No, nothing could match the blue yaoguai's talent in making the most delicious and heavenly blend. That was his and his alone.

"Hee, going to have to return the favor if possible..."

Taking another sip of the lovely drink before him before reaching for the fresh baked treats that had accompanied it. Of course they complimented the tea, adding another soothing layer to the moment. Helping the monkey yaoguai in relaxing that much further, finding himself more and more at peace as he drank and ate the small offering he had recieved.

What did he ever do to deserve such a wonderful and dear friend such as him? He thank whatever lucky star he had to for gifting Shā Dàlì into his life like this. Planning in his head how to return the kind gesture and show the other how much it meant to him. It have to be good, something that would reflect the care he had put into the one he bestowed onto Wukong.

For now, he was going to relax and thank whomever deserved it for Sandy's generous gift and just overall gracing his immortal life. He didn't deserve it.

And Unikitty was always happy to spread joy wherever the journey took her.

         When he messes with her hair like that, she can’t help but feel like a kid again.  it’s not an inherently bad feeling, either !  

         Mei has been so fiercely independent from such a young age, but she never had moments like these with her parents ; the hair ruffles, hugs that were slightly suffocating & spine-cracking  --  the young dragon wishes her parents were as comfortable with showing affection as her friends were.

         The young lady loves her parents lots, don’t get her wrong !  but there’s just something different about how her friends bond with each other that... her parents can’t quite do the same.

i’m gonna put these all under the LMK verse because there’s not rlly any like. canonical interactions beyond his three chapters in JTTW for me to think about it in a shipping light LMAO.

12. do you ship any rarepair?

i am WOEFULLY unaware of what ships are prevalent in any given fandom [because i rarely interact w fandoms as a whole. very scary!! i stay in my little hole.] but in LMK? i’d say i think the spider queen’s underlings should all be friends. actually, scratch that, the whole spider crew feel like a family to me. nevermind the awful circumstances to their creation, that can get figured out in therapy later. i just think they would have family board game nights. :]

uhhh. that’s all i got, i wracked my brain and couldn’t think of anything else.

17. what’s your BROTP when it comes to your muse?

literally all i think about interactions-wise are mk, mei, and red son being a close-knit friend group. i get so much serotonin from them being buddies. also they can beat up other villains. ive said it before but every friend group needs the adhd, the dumbass, and the space heater.

depending on how s4 goes [if there’s a s4? idk how that production’s going actually-], there might be room for another in the silly friend group. :]
