“Darling?” Henry walks in from the hall, he freezes when he spots you bent over the kitchen counter, wearing only a tiny maids costume. Your bum was barely covered by the little black dress, white ruffles grazing over the soft skin.

“Hmm?” You play dumb, standing upright, a bright pink fluffy feather duster in hand and doing your utter best to look innocent. He towered over your body, making you feel small and dominated. A/N: I actually wanted to post the new chapter today, but I got distracted during the editing (severely distracted), so here is a nice little teaser 😉 Warning: mentions of daddy!

I don’t think I have ever been in this much pain. The next morning I can barely move my body, without groaning in pain. That workout absolutely killed me. ‘I don’t feel so well,’ I mumble. ‘You know, you should get me a sauna. So I can loosen my muscles and relax them.’

‘You want one?’

I sit up straight again so I can look at him. ‘Daddy, I’m only kidding.’ I have a severe problem. I need to stop naming him daddy for fucks sake.

My heart stops beating for a few seconds, before it starts to painfully pound inside my chest. Okay, he must’ve despised it, I think to myself. He is wondering why on earth I even have ambitions to become an other. ‘Oh.’

He sits down at my dining table and ushers me over. ‘Come here,’ he says and when I’m near him, he pulls me on his lap. ‘I absolutely loved it, baby,’ he says. ‘You’re so talented.’

What? I’m talented? ‘Really?’

‘Yes, sweetheart, it was amazing. Now of course, I’m not an editor, however I am an avid reader and I enjoyed it. It was fast paced, funny and thrilling. There were a few things I think require some editing, but other than that… I absolutely loved it.’

This shouldn’t make me teary eyed. This absolutely shouldn’t.

However it does. My emotions have been all over the place the last few weeks (it has to do with the person whose lap I’m sitting on).

‘No, no, no,’ Henry quickly says, ‘don’t cry, baby.’

‘I’m sorry.’

‘Come here, come here,’ he says, pulling me in a tight hug. I bury my face in his neck, as I wrap my arms around his shoulders. ‘It’s scary,’ he whispers, ‘showing people your creative outlet.’

I simply nod.

‘It’s okay,’ he tries to sooth me.

I let out a slightly nervous chuckle as I pull back. ‘I’m sorry, this is totally too much of a reaction.’

‘No, I understand.’ He lets out a soft sigh and then says: ‘Showing something this personal can be scary, but I’m so glad you trusted me.’

After we toasted, Henry says to me: ‘You’re twenty three now. How do you feel about that?’

I shrug. ‘I don’t feel that much different. The only major thing is that I can’t sing the Taylor Swift song anymore, because it’s not accurate anymore.’

He frowns. ‘What?’

‘There is this song by Taylor Swift, called 22 and I’ve been wanting to sing that song since it came out and last year was finally the year and… Oh,’ I quickly realize, ‘I forgot. You’re fifty.’ I chuckle, as I wrap my arm around his.

He places his hand on my leg, playing with the top of my over knee boots. ‘Not nice,’ he chuckles. ‘I’m nowhere close to fifty.’

‘You are closer to fifty, than I am to thirty.’

He only sighs, causing me to look up. I may be hurting his feelings. ‘Sorry,’ I say. ‘If this makes you feel any better, you don’t look forty six. You could’ve been like that decomposing fossil we met at Eclipse.

Henry laughs. ‘He was only fifty eight. Twelve years older than me.’

I gasp. ‘Are you kidding me?’

‘Yeah.’

‘Wow,’ I chuckle. ‘What were you like when you were twenty three?’ I ask him then.

He nods as he thinks about the question. ‘I was boring,’ he says. ‘Just started Midnight in my grandma’s garage, was very serious with that and barely did anything else.’

‘Kinda like now.’

‘Watch it, darling,’ he says, cocking his eyebrows, before bursting out in laughter. ‘But you’re right, kinda like now.’

‘You think you would be attracted to me at age twenty three?’ I ask him.
