Okay genuinely there's two things that reminds me of jungwon past lives movie and love. By wave to earth

which made me think of how you and jungwon have been childhood friends and saw each other grow and how you went through alot of phases together and like as time passes you guys just get closer and closer till the point where you guys are not just friends its like you guys exceeded the platonic phase and everyone around you noticed and keeps asking about your relationship state and you two just laugh it off and deny any dating allegation but it's like everytime you do its feels like someone's punching you in the guts or even your heart is being used as a WWE punching bag both you and jungwon thought of getting together but you were just so afraid of what can happen to your relationship afterwards which makes both of you take a step back and by that your relationship sticks at this stage of both of you wanting each other but just not being able to commit and so sooner or later you guys started getting busy with your own lives jungwon is a idol you are looking for the next step of your life and maybe even trying to find love instead of putting your heart on pause which you eventually do end up finding a person who you can actually fall inlove with and it's not jungwon so for him he's still at that same spot he always was at which is wanting you but you just move on but that still doesn't ruin your relationship but that does shape your past lives.

but i have an ick.

an ick that has stayed with me ever since i discovered and got into the genre.

and that ick is what people use for them, as in face claims.

before i say anything else, i have no problem with face claims, but what annoys me is what the person in said images seems to wear or look like.

not every female on the planet wears short tank tops with small-ass tiddies! heck, there's a big chunk of women/girls who don't like showing skin, even me, because it could be a part of insecurity or something else i won't mention.

not in a mean way, so please don't come at me, but not everyone's body can fit into every clothing type, or they don't like it, but even if the smau mentioned is interesting, readers are put off because of what the face claim is wearing or what they look like.

to me, the stereotypical smau face claim is a white woman, perfect skin, blonde hair and wearing short tank tops (which I hate at this point).

and as a white, blonde, nearly 20-year-old woman with moderate skin, i hate it. i loathe being blonde, and i don't like blonde being a stereotype for this stuff. use brown hair, or even black hair, black hair is rare in our days in my eyes

faceless smaus are nice because they're just Twitter threads with made-up usernames and comments that use reaction memes, and they're funny as fuck. but only some writers do that, specifically certain fandoms

Sat in hair and makeup, letting your makeup artist poke and pull at your face, blending the makeup into an intricate design for your performance, waiting for your hair stylist to finish with your bandmate's hair to start yours, you glance at the maknae of your group, Gabbie—stage name Fawn.

Her grey eyes are glued to her phone screen as she waits in the corner of the room for all of her members to be finished with their hair and makeup, nervous about the meeting with the other groups. Anxious for what the show is about, and what will come from it.

jjaellyNet has decided to create a new reality show for idols, and your band had been invited to be a part of it. You were skeptical at first, as were all of your members; Gabbie hated survival shows and none of you had any idea what this show would be. But your manager had decided it was a good idea for the promotion of your next comeback.

A buzz in your pocket pulls you from your nerves, as you check the notification that had come to your phone from your mother.

“Good luck tonight, darling! Your father and I are so proud of you and the girls! I love you!” the message read.

You smile at your mother's message before replying with the same enthusiasm; a sincere thank you and a promise to pass her message to your members.

“My mum says good luck to all of us tonight and that she’s proud of us,” you say, following through with your promise to your mother.

“That’s so sweet! Let her know we say thank you!” your member, Jaida—stage name Jelly— says, her smile reaching her sage green eyes.

“Close your eyes, please,” the makeup artist says, her eyeshadow brushes appearing in your line of sight. You follow her instructions and you feel your hair stylist start pulling your hair out of its ponytail. Those two make working in a team seem easy which is exactly what you need right now.

“Ahh, I’m so nervous!” Jaida, now finished with her hair and makeup, starts jumping up and down on the spot trying to fight her nerves. The hair-stylist shoots her a stern look, concerned for the neatness of the braids sat in Jaida’s hair as she bounces around.

“You’re nervous? How do you think I feel? I spent all day today looking for your belt because it was missing and the spares weren’t where I left them!” Our stylist rushes through the door with clothes bags draped over her arm, scolding Jaida.

“Wait, it was missing? I put it in the same place as usual,” Jaida’s eyebrows furrow in confusion.

“I believe you. It fell. It was in one of the million bags below the hangers,” our stylist sighs as she finally puts the bags onto the table.

“I’m sorry, Unnie. I’ll make sure I hang it properly next time,” Jaida apologizes.

“It’s okay, love,” she pats Jaida’s arm then begins looking through the hangers of the clothes bags. Once satisfied with what she is looking for, she pulls two of the bags and passes one to Jaida and holds the other out to Gabbie, “Take your outfits and get changed, it’s almost 6, you have to leave in about half an hour.”

Jaida is quick to leave with her outfit, bowing at the stylist as she passes her, and Gabbie gets up from her position on the ground in the corner, placing her phone on a table and taking her outfit to the changing room.

“I’m almost done with Sky’s makeup if you want her to get changed now as well,” the makeup artist says, pausing in her movements to talk as she applies the group leader’s eyeliner with a steady hand.

“Oh, no, if you’re almost done, it’s okay,” Our stylist smiles towards the makeup artist.

You feel a hair clip push against your head and soon your hair and makeup are also finished. Taking your hanger, you head towards the dressing room.

As you step into the dressing room, you hear uneven breathing, and crying coming from the dressing room next to the one you entered, and you immediately recognise the noise.

You are thankful that you didn’t leave your phone in the other room as you press Sky’s contact and put the phone to your ear.

She picks up quickly and questions your reason for calling.

“Jaida is panicking,” you rush out before ending the call and knocking on the stall next to yours. You call her name a few times before the door finally unlocks and you hear running coming from the hallway.

“Hey, hey, love, you’re okay. It’s okay. What’s happened? Would you like to talk about it?” Sky embraces Jaida, comforting her quietly, patting her dyed purple hair. She nods at you as if to say that it’s okay to go, and you take that as your sign to finish getting ready for the performance.

You dress in plain black high-waisted pants, with a white strappy blouse tucked into the pants, with the butterfly belt that each of your members wear.

Once you finish changing, you fold your clothes and take the hanger and bag back to the other room.

Upon your arrival to the other room, you notice Jaida dressed in a similar outfit to yours, but with a skirt, sitting back in a chair with the makeup artist hovering over her, fixing her makeup, while she apologises.

“Hey, you okay? What happened?” you ask, becoming curious about the previous situation.

“I thought I lost my necklace,” her hand instinctively reached for the blue pendant on her necklace she never took off. “It got caught on my button as I was getting changed, and the chain broke, Unnie had another chain though, so it’s okay. I’m sorry for worrying you,” she looks down, disappointed in herself.

“Hey, it’s okay. I would’ve reacted the same had I lost something as important to me as that necklace is to you,” you pat her shoulder and smile at her in the mirror.

Hearing the door open, you look towards your manager who stood beside Gabbie, “Okay, where is Sky?”

“Right here,” Sky says, walking into the room behind the manager and Gabbie.

“Right. We need to get going. You still need to have microphones put on when we get there and do introductions and performances start at 9. You should be lucky you did rehearsal earlier, cause you guys will be the last ones there. Everyone else is getting ready at the venue. We can pick something up to eat on the way because you are not performing on an empty stomach,” he says. “Make sure you have all of your stuff.”

Each of you bow at the stylist, makeup artist, and hair stylist before grabbing all of your belongings and making your way toward the elevator.

“What would you like to eat?” Your manager asks all of you. Your nerves throw away all appetite you have and you think it is the same for all of your members.

“I don’t want to ruin my outfit by getting food on it, why don’t we get something to eat afterward?” Jaida suggests. All of the members agree but your manager is skeptical.

“Are you sure?” you all make noises of affirmation as you exit the elevator and get into the waiting vehicle.

The drive is quiet and as relaxing as it can be with the four of you curious as to what is going on and nervous about performing for idols.

“Are you really not going to tell us anything?” you speak up, for the first time in the half an hour drive.

“I can’t. We’re pretty much here anyways, so you won’t have to wait too long,” Your manager smiles as you sink back into your seat.

He turns into a parking lot that is basically empty and drives straight to the entrance, putting the car in park and taking the keys out of the ignition. Each of you leave the vehicle and walk slowly behind your manager towards the entrance of the venue.

Walking up the stairs, you realize that the lights in the foyer are on, but the glass door is closed. As you reach the door, your manager reaches for the keys in his pocket and unlocks the door, holding it open for you to all go in before he does. You enter the foyer and immediately realize how cold it is. The air conditioning must be set to about 18°C.

Your manager goes to the front desk and grabs the sheet of paper sitting on it, starting to fill it out. Your members bow at the lady behind the desk, who smiles in turn.

“Okay! Go through that door,” your manager says, pointing at a door on your left, after finishing the paperwork, “and there will be someone waiting for you. Follow them.”

“Wait, what? Where are you going?” Jaida has panic written in her eyes as she says the words. Gabbie grabs her hand to try to calm her down before she gets herself worked up.

“I’m just the chauffeur today. You’ll understand later, trust me,” he pats her shoulder in an attempt to calm her down. “Oh! Before I forget, come,” he waves Jaida to follow him back towards the car. Jaida glances at each of us before letting go of Gabbie’s hand and following our manager.

She returns minutes later with her beloved stuffed owl wrapped in her arms.

She takes a deep breath before walking to the door the manager earlier pointed to, where each of us were waiting for her, before opening the door.

As you enter the door, your eyes land on a young woman dressed in mostly black with platinum blond hair, who was just standing in the hall.

“Are you who is waiting for us?” You speak up quietly enough not to startle her.

“Ah, yes! You must be Nymph! My name is Aera, and I’ll be working with you throughout your time on this show!” She smiles gracefully at each of you. “If you’ll follow me, I’ll be taking you to your waiting room where I will help you get your microphones on. Have you eaten tonight?”

“No, we didn’t want to spoil our outfits, and we have been a bit too nervous to have much appetite,” you laugh awkwardly as you try to follow the conversation.

You arrive at a room that has your band name written on the door, entering quietly.

The room isn’t big, but it isn’t small. It has a white leather couch against one wall, a small glass coffee table in front of it, and along the other wall are suitcases that look familiar to you.

“Don’t question it, you’ll understand soon, I promise,” Aera says.

You each take a seat on the couch except Sky, who is the first to have her microphone put on, followed by you, then Gabbie, then Jaida.

Soon, you are instructed to leave your belongings in the waiting room and prepare for introduction. You are finally about to see what idols you are going to perform for.

Jaida sets her stuffed own on the couch, facing the suitcases, and each of your phones are left on the coffee table.

You are instructed to follow Aera in single file, so you take the front of the line, the two maknaes between yourself and Sky. You walk for a few minutes until Aera turns to you.

“Okay, on my cue, you walk through that doorway, it leads to the stage. You are the 7th band doing introductions, so there are still 2 after you. Stand in the middle of the stage area and introduce yourselves, until your band logo appears above one of the seating areas, then just go sit down and you’ll be good,” you nod at her instruction, your members mimicking your action.

You take a deep breath, trying to calm your nerves, and before you know it, Aera gives you the cue to go.

he’s not very good. but at least he’s better than jake!

he somehow is always in a cave or some sort of dangerous location

like say u found a village and you’re like “sunghoon come raid this village with me!”

meanwhile he’s trying not to die because of a pillager outpost

somehow he doesn’t?

he’ll go and do stuff like that or spend days in the nether and survive but his weakness is witches

like he doesn’t scream UNLESS there is a witch

and if you’re nearby ? he will 100% sacrifice you to the witch so that he can survive

he actually sacrifices you quite a bit because he has like 36 levels

he thinks he’s funny when he does it too

honestly prefers to play in creative mode (me too sunoo)

but when you were like “let’s play in survival for once” he’s like “fiiiiiiiiinneeeeeuhhhh” (very dramatic about it)

he immediately builds a forever base when you spawn in

makes you do all the mining and stuff

he will tag along! but he won’t do shit

he’s the interior designer. he’s got bigger and better things to do

he only redeems himself when you go into the base and find your minecraft beds right next to each other

besides holding the house down, he also has an extremely high scale and successful farming system

so if you ever check in his chests, 100% you will find like 20 stacks of wood, stacks of wheat, of carrots, of beets, etc.

may be a homebody in minecraft but at least he’s fun to play with !!!! 10/10 would recommend to a friend

like you’re trying to get along with your day until jungwon stops and drops into the smallest cave ever

u eat your words tho when he is decked out in diamond armor from almost the get-go

when you guys build a base it HAS to have a little mine under the house (little as in huge)

he makes tons and tons of signs and just places them around the base

some of them make sense and others just don’t at all

has a 2x2 fenced in area and the sign outside of it says “jail”

at first you’re like “let’s play together” and he’s like “yeah sure whatever” but little do u know he has every plan in the world to turn the game into warfare

it’s even worse if you are playing on a realm rather than just a server

he abandons you from the get-go and immediately runs away and you can’t catch him so he builds a base far away from you

the base is in fact a dirt house

but it’s minecraft who said he had to be an architect

yes he abandoned you and is regularly attacking you at any given chance but he still keeps his tabs on where you are

walks all over your farm and kills your livestock

leaves signs saying “riki was here” “get rikrolled”

since he keeps tabs on you, u have to be very cautious of what you leave in your chests

he will steal anything. just for fun

threatens to blow up everything because he just wants to

jungwon shoved his shoes off tiredly at the dorm's front door, riki following suit. their hands were occupied with bags of the group's dinner as they went into the common room to see the rest of their members with jungwon's boyfriend now joined.

y/n sat cheering with the others as they all watched jay and heeseung's race of mario kart on the large tv. jungwon smiled at the sight of y/n's presence. he invited y/n to come over for dinner just an hour ago and hadn't expected him to get to the dorms so fast.

jungwon and riki set the few bags down on the table, the youngest's eyes instantly going to the ongoing race. jungwon's view, however, went right to y/n. his smile dropped upon seeing sunghoon clinging to y/n's shoulder in anticipation. it was the last round of the race, and both of them were ready to see who would win. but frankly, jungwon couldn't care less about why his groupmate was glued to his partner's side. he didn't like it regardless of the reason.

"yes! pay up, loser," heeseung gloated as he tossed his controller aside and laid his hand out. jay rolled his eyes at the defeat, pulling a few bills out to hand to him. he flopped down on the other side of y/n with a small pout, dramatically laying his head on y/n's lap to fake a cry.

"oh, food's here! thanks, guys!" sunghoon beamed as he let go of y/n and stood up with the rest of them to begin setting out their meals. jungwon gave sunghoon a broken smile, trying to remind himself that he didn't actually hate his friend. his eyes shifted back to y/n, who was now standing up.

"hi, babe!" y/n greeted him happily. jungwon only smiled a hello and pulled him closer by the waist to kiss him deeply.

the others looked up at their leader in disgust.

"okay, we get it, you're in love. no need to rub it in," heeseung joked as he opened his box of food. a few snickers came from the others while the couple finally pulled apart. y/n was a bit taken back by the sudden kiss, but assumed maybe his boyfriend just missed him.

the boys could tell jungwon was overprotective and a bit jealous. jake in particular found it amusing how jealous jungwon could become over even a friendly, platonic gesture from one of the members, and he had to admit that he liked to mess with the leader.

jake watched the couple sit down with the rest of them, digging into their dinner. with himself now on one side of y/n and jungwon on the other, an idea popped into his head.

he gripped onto some food with his chopsticks and brought it closer to y/n, who's eyes brightened as he opened his mouth to let jake feed him. jake could see in his peripheral vision that jungwon was practically shooting daggers at him, but he paid it no mind to continue teasing him. y/n, however, was completely oblivious.

jungwon took a deep breath and decided to try and focus on his food. he knew y/n didn't mean any harm, but he couldn't ignore the feeling in his chest that screamed to get him away from the others.

after finishing their meals, the group and their plus one decided on staying up for a movie night since they had a day off tomorrow. after jungwon pressed play on their chosen movie, he went back to y/n's side to get comfortable with the others. he laid his arm around y/n's shoulder, stroking his hair lovingly while y/n rested his head against him.

after only five minutes into the movie, jake was already back to his trouble making. while jungwon continued to play with y/n's hair, jake sat closely beside y/n and fed him pieces of candy. jungwon gave his groupmate a couple side eyes as he tensed up, but told himself to keep ignoring the actions.

jungwon managed to remain focused on the movie for a few more minutes, but it was when jake lifted his leg to lay it on y/n's lap that jungwon finally snapped.

"i need some air," he mumbled under his breath as he rushed to stand up and get outside. y/n quickly sat up with a frown, able to see jungwon was upset now. once the door shut behind his boyfriend, y/n looked around at the others in confusion.

"look what you did now, jake," jay said, his tone somewhere between amused and cross. jake clicked his tongue.

"he's fun to tease, he'll be okay."

y/n looked between them, still confused.

"did i miss something?" he questioned. jake moved his leg from y/n's lap to sit upright as well.

"jungwon just gets jealous easily, that's all."

realization struck y/n now, feeling a bit dense. he sighed and stood up to follow his partner outside.

he found jungwon sitting alone on the steps that led up to the doorway, tossing a few stray pebbles that were scattered around. y/n sat beside him in silence for a moment as he was unsure of what exactly to say.

"..are you okay?"

jungwon didn't answer. y/n felt anxiety spark through his body at this.

"jungwon, please talk to me."

the male took a deep breath as he looked down, deciding to finally speak.

"do you remember that day we spent together a couple months ago? it was raining all day but we still wanted to do something so we went outside and played in the rain? we laid in puddles and caught rain drops with our tongues and then had our first kiss.."

y/n smiled at the memory and nodded. jungwon's voice was laced with nostalgic happiness while the corner of his lips curved into a small grin.

"i'd never forget that day," y/n replied. jungwon nodded before taking the other's hand and intertwining their fingers. he was still looking down, which made y/n frown again.

"i'm sorry for walking out just now.." jungwon said quietly. y/n's brows furrowed as he shook his head.

"don't apologize. i'm sorry that i didn't see you were upset," he countered.

"i know you didn't mean to upset me. the others just like to mess with me. they're too good at it, i guess." he said in disappointment.

"wonnie, look at me, please?"

it took him a moment, but jungwon was able to bring himself to look at his love. he managed to give him a small smile, his soft eyes making y/n's heart fill with warmth.

"there's my dimpled boy," he cooed as a light blush coated jungwon's cheeks. "you know i'm all yours, right? it's just you and i," y/n reminded him.

"and the rest of enhypen," jungwon added jokingly. y/n rolled his eyes.

"they can wait in line, tsk."

"I swear if your brother touches my hair again, I'm going to uppercut him." you tell your best friend next to you as you comb through your previously ruffled hair.

You had known Heeseung for as long as you'd been friends with your best friends which was equivalently, many... many years.

You loved your best friend but her brother would never leave you alone.

He had his days where he was sweet with you but most of the time you were fighting back the urge to high kick his pretty little face.

"He says ruffling your hair before a game is his good luck charm." you friend says shrugging her shoulders as she munches on her popcorn.

"Yeah well he better find another goodluck charm, he's ruining my good hair days." you defend glaring at the boy who happened to run across the basketball court with his teammates.

You tried so hard to despise him and how smart, funny, considerate and kind he was, but oh how you wanted to so badly run over to Heeseung on the court and just kiss him.

This was someone who didn't necessarily make the best of impressions on you the first time seeing as he stole your blue highlighter in 4th grade, but the bright side was if it wasn't for him, you wouldn't have met your best friend who happened to return the very same highlighter apologising for her 'stupid' twin brother who took it in the first place.

From that day on, you made Heeseung your nemesis, he didn't know he was, so yes, your one sided nemesis, you were a grudge holder.

Heeseung did eventually apologise in which you forgave him but you weren't easy to forget about it either.

Over the years of growing a friendship with your best friend, her brother was seemingly in the picture too.

They were close, but they would also banter and tease each other alot like many other siblings did and you found that dynamic between them special.

Heeseung soon started treating you the same, yes he was sweet to you when he wanted to be but most of the time it was just teasing and being playful and sometimes even the subtle flirting.

Although a year ago everything started changing.

You had had a very romantic and somewhat suggestive dream about him and for days you had tried avoiding Heeseung because you were embarrassed to even think you could possibly think of him in that light.

For years you had only seen him platonically but all of a sudden one dream put everything into a new perspective that just maybe... you had feelings for your best friend's brother.

After avoiding him for almost a week straight, Heeseung obviously thought he did something and so he offered to take you out to lunch as an 'apology' still having no idea he had actually done nothing wrong and it was all just you going through some intrapersonal conflict.

But he had won you over and you were simply left dealing with new feelings for Heeseung you were afraid to admit.

Let alone to your best friend.

"Okay let's start working on this project." Heeseung says as you both walked into his bedroom to work.

It didn't feel all too unfamiliar since you'd been in here before when his sister was around but it felt odd since it would just be the both of you alone this time.

In one of the classes you shared with Heeseung, your professor had assigned everyone a partner for a new project for the semester and Heeseung just happened to be the person you were paired up with leading to this moment. 

You had both been working hand in hand for the past hour and a half now and there was great progress being made.

"How about we take a short break since we've been working for a while now." you say turning to Heeseung next to you who happened to already be looking at you.

"Stop looking at me like that, call me a bug like you always do already." you mumble rolling your eyes as you break away from his staring.

"You're actually really beautiful." he says leaning on the table with one hand as he smiles admiring your facial features.

"Funny, are you getting sick, never heard you compliment me in a minute." you joke with him putting your hand on his forehead but his temperature was normal.

Unexpectedly Heeseung gently pulls your hand away leaning his face closer to yours.

Your heart was beating right out of your chest at the close proximity between you both, was he going to do it.

You notice his gaze go from your eyes to your lips and back as you did the same, both of you seemingly waiting for the other to make the first move.

To both of your suprise, you were the one to initiate the first move pressing your lips together finally kissing him.

But the moment was quick to end as the thought of your best friend catching you both crossed your mind and you hesitantly pulled away.

"We shouldn't-" you start off but you were cut off by Heeseung pulling you back in for a second kiss.

This time he deepened the kiss a gentle hand on your cheek and you felt like this moment wouldn't end.

This time Heeseung pulled away leaving a soft peck on your cheeks and nose and reality hit you once again.

Standing up abruptly you began walking back and forth around the room not believing what you'd just done.

"Oh my gosh, I just kissed my best friend's brother. She's gonna hate me. She'll never want to be friends with me anymore. Why did i kiss you. No I shouldn't like you in the first place." you ramble nervously as you hit your forehead for your reckless decision.

"Wait... you like me back?" he asks scratching the back of his neck as he stood up walking towards you.

You'd forgotten he could hear everything you were saying and you had accidentally confessed your feelings indirectly.

Well there was no trying to hide or run away from it.

But he said 'back', doesn't that mean he likes you too?!

"I do like you but-" you tell him as he stood in front of you holding your hands in his as he stopped you probably sensing what you were going to say.

"My sister probably wouldn't care, you're worried about nothing. What matters is that we both like each other and I think we should go out on our first date." he reassures you as you nod.

"I'd like that."

- jungwon is so best friends to lovers coded. it's written all over his being. i see it happening so perfectly.

- at first every thing is soooo platonic. going out to lunch, studying together, going bike riding, everything as friends until one day you get tired of him not understanding the multitude of hints you're throwing at him. so, you end up confessing.

- to be honest he's a little confused at first, because how could he miss the fact that you liked him ?? especially all this time?? luckily, he didn't have to think about it much and told you he'd be your boyfriend right then and there. he didn't see too much of a difference from what you guys were doing before. but now he had kissing privileges.

- you guys are almost always on facetime with eachother, like almost everyday talking for hours. sometimes you both fall asleep while in the phone and other times he ends the call with a loud kissy noise to let you know he loves you.

- jungwon is someone who likes to take interest in things you like or enjoy. if it's a show he'd watch it, book, he'd read it, or game he'd play it just so he's able to relate to you and spend time with you doing something you enjoy doing.

- his love languages are so clear, he cant help but express them. they cone to him naturally like, acts of service, quality time, and physical touch.

- when he's away on tour you guys are almost always on facetime. before bed he needs to hear your voice regardless of the timezone. most times you guys both fall asleep on the phone and have facetime calls that last anywhere from 5 minutes to 16 hours.

- without thinking he shares his food with you. most times he's mindlessly talking or scrolling through his phone as he offers you a bite of his food from his chopsticks.

- jungwon listens to any and all issues and concerns you may have in that pretty little brain of yours. sometimes he asks you if you want advice, solutions, or just someone to listen regardless of what he thinks.

- sometimes when he's in a playful mood he'd hide your things, that he knows you need. like a straw to a reuseable cup, your computer mouse, your favorite mug, maybe even a shoe. he does it just to see how long it would take you to notice he had it. plus watching you freak out and look for your lost item made him laugh.

- he likes to pretend to trip you. he purposely sticks his foot out only to move it away at the last second. sometimes he does actually trip youto which he laughs and helps you up.

- jealousy is his middle name. regardless of who you're attracted to he's always tentative and reading body language around you. he's not worried about you, he's worried about others getting too friendly with you, but he'd never tell you that.

- if you get sick he'd playfully scold you and make sure you have what you need to get better. like meds, soup, water. he's not exactly sure how to take care of you but, the best he can do is make sure you're taking your meds on time and drinking water.

- he remembers ever little detail you've shared about yourself with him. he plays coy most of the time, but when you have specific orders for foods or drinks he some how always brings you things exactly as you ask for it.

- if you dig deep into his phone you'll find the note he made on his notes app when you guys first started dating with all the things you like and all the things you dont and maybe even your usual fast food orders.

- jungwon's your biggest fan. number 1 supporter. he would cheer for you even if no one else is. he loves you so much everything you do is golden in his eyes.

- with that, jungwon loves seeing you supporting him. you guys are so supportive of eachother. he feels like seeing you the audience energizes him because he wants you to be proud and have something to brag about.

- saying "i love you" came so natural to him. he probably said it one night about 3 months into your relationship. it was kinda shocking and honestly even took him by suprise. but it was just so easy.

- your phone is always being blown up with his texts. he sends you everything and anything. he loves texting you. good morning texts, good night texts,bored daily selfies. you get it all.

- his phone is full of pictures of you, most of them off guard or blurry. and everytime you see them you tell him to delete it because you think you look bad. but he thinks theres no bad pictures of you.

- jungwon's the type to look over at your over your shoulder at your phone. not because he doesn't trust you, but usually because his eyes just happen to land there if you guys are together. to be annoying he sometimes taps the screen to mess what ever you're doing up and get your attention.

- without you having to ask, jungwon brings you your favorite snacks everytime you both hang out. he just always brings things, and they all happen to be your favorites.

- if you're looking for something under a table or cabinet he puts a hand over the edge so you don't hit your head against the hard surface while getting up.

- he loves nights where you both can just chill out and watch movies. you guys obligatory monthly movie marathon nights with popcorn and candy.

- jungwon is always planning dates. he loves coming up with fun and creative ways to spend time together so its not all repetitive and expected.

- to make sure he has time with you, he designates a day in the week for it to be date night. something like every thursday. if he's on tour on your date night we would take time out of his day to have a virtual date playing video games or watching a movie together online while still on facetime.

- arguments with jungwon are very rare. he's usually so understanding and tends to see your side in conversations. he also articulates and expresses his feelings really well when he feels like he must.

- obviously he would never admit it, but jungwon lives to see you in his clothes. infact, you both trade and share clothes often and he lives for it.

- he rests his head on yours all the time. it's always iust you and him. cheek to cheek. its a simple act of affection.

- you always try to poke his dimple everytime it pops out and he has successfully turned his head fast enough to bite your finger before you could.

- skinship is something you get a lot of with him. especially in private. sometimes it's usual sweet things like kisses and cuddles and other times it's him playfully tackling you onto the couch. its almost like he's glued to you.

- sometimes he shows you tiktok trends couples are doing all over his fyp and begs you to make a tiktok with him because it would be cute. he can't help but post it and make everyone jealous about your relationship.

- you guys have a shared playlist on a music app that allows you both to just dump songs into it. you guys listen to the playlist when you hang out all the time. some songs are ones he likes, others you like, and some you both love. at this point the playlist has over 200 songs you both just love listening to.

- he tries to be crafty and cute for you. key word is tries. he wants to make you sweet handmade cards or a mug in a pottery class. they're not terrible and you obviously keep each thing he hand makes you. he knows you love him if you're keeping the lopsided hello kitty mug he painted for you.

- you hardly ever need to verbally tell him you need something because he observes and knows when you run low of things you use daily and just buys you things like that. your favorite perfume is low? he got you a new one. your fabric softener is out? he got you more. he ate the last bowl of clyour favorite cereal? he's replacing it with a whole new box.

- expect him to keep every little thing you give or gift him. you see the little stickers you give him on the back of his phone or on his laptop, the scrunchies you leave at his house are around his wrist incase either of you needs them, and the weird little blind bag figures you get him are neatly placed on his desk for him to see everyday.

- he usually calls you by your name because part of him thinks pet names are cringe. if he's feeling funny he'll probably call you something like "booger" or "bun head" out of love.

- for some reason valentine's day means a lot to him, so he goes full on out every year and thinks on ways to out do himself in the next year.

- loves stay at home dates where you both just enjoy eachother's company. maybe do a facemask, maybe cook some ramen, and maybe you sleep over. it's just perfect.

- overall, jungwon is such a sweet, caring and orotective boyfriend. i think he's the most boyfriend material out of the whole group!

you stare at the picture your best friend jake sent you. ‘does my outfit look okay?’ he texted you, waiting for a reply on the other side of the screen. you mentally screamed.

of course you do, anything you wear looks great, you said in your head. it was the jake sim for that matter, he always look good.

‘you look a little better than most days’

you replied before throwing your phone on your bed. how could one look so good? you and jake had been friends since kindergarten. long time friends, you honestly have no idea when the line of platonic or romantic feelings started to blur. it felt like you had a crush on him forever. definitely not love at first sight. but if you were to go backwards and pick up the little moments where you felt more-than-friends love,

you would end up right back to the moment you first ever saw him.

you hated the feelings though. you couldn’t accept them. you knew jake in and out so you knew whenever he had a crush on someone. and you had to admit, you did look for those signs whenever you guys were hanging out, for any tiny hint of reciprocated feelings. but you could never find any.

so, you pushed the feelings away. you couldn’t risk confessing, breaking the friendship and losing your best friend of almost twenty years. it was better to have him right by your side while suffering through it rather than having him gone while still suffering.

a ding comes out from your phone. you sat down on the side of your bed and pick it up, a text from him coming through.

‘so you think i’m good looking today :D who is this and what happened to yn ?? they would never tell me i am handsome’

obviously, you thought. any compliments that come from right out of your mouth will show your true feelings. you could never allow that.

‘i take my words back. you look hideous’

your phone dings again.

‘no take backs’

there was a moment of silence before another text comes through.

‘we are meeting tonight at the rooftop right?’

you type out a quick ‘yes’ before shutting your phone off, not responding anymore. how much longer could you hide these feelings? ever since you were kids, you had quite the obsession with stars. or anything space related. so when jake found you just laying down on the rooftop late at night one day when you guys were 10, it quickly became a tradition to hang out there at least once a week.

you loved the stars and the secrets of the universe but if any one were to ask you any questions about it, you frankly couldn’t give a scientific answer. you loved the philosophical sense of it though, about how there’s multiple multiverses and different universes. jake, being the smarter one of the two of you, went on to study astronomy in school.

of course, since you moved over the years, you guys could not hang out at the original rooftop you started the tradition at. but thankfully, the tiny apartment building you are currently living in had an accessible rooftop to use. you sighed as you thought about jake.

maybe in another universe, you did not have feelings for him.

“and you know what sunghoon did? he took the last piece of chicken!”

the both of you were now on the rooftop, sitting down as you gaze at the stars together. it was a good night, the sky was clear, no chance of rain or any feelings getting in the way, you could absolutely see the stars tonight.

“how scandalous,” you said in a sarcastic tone. “how dare he take the last piece of chicken!”

“that’s what i’m saying!” jake laughs, turning to look at you before looking back at the stars. “and what about you? we haven’t seen each other in so long, oh my god?”

you guys were working adults now, well jake was busy preparing for graduate school while you had a typical 9-5 job, so you couldn’t see jake as much as you used to. which makes you appreciate the rooftop talks a lot more. but it also helps you to push the feelings away. the less you see him, the more likely the feelings will go away, right?

you shrugged. “eh, the typical. wake up at 7, prepare, leave, arrive to work at 9, leave at 5, come back.” you were living in a constant cycle, the same thing over and over again.

maybe in another universe, you went on to pursue your actual dream of film, not taking the safe option.

jake looks at you sadly. “you should have some fun in your life! why not go out and date someone?”

ouch.

“as if,” you scoffed. “you scared off a couple of my exes while i was dating them.”

jake grins, clearly having no regrets. “they were assholes. i did you a huge favour.” he looks at you before starting to lie down, his head resting on your thigh. your heart skipped a beat. he could just breath and you will find reasons to fall for him all over again. “what are you doing?” you questioned, hoping that it’s too dark that he could not see your face turning red.

“this is comfortable,” he says, now laying down on your thigh while he looks up to the stars. “why do you love the stars so much?”

“i don’t know, why do you?” you asked without much thought.

“cause you like them.”

you paused at that. jake could have no other undertone in those words but your heart still managed to race a little faster. “oh,” was all you could say.

jake smiles at your reaction. “you liked them so much when we were kids, so i got interested in them.”

you smiled at that, your hands unconsciously going up to play with his fringe, before stopping yourself. “oh. sorry-“ you start to apologise, moving your hand away. but jake holds onto your hand, placing it back on his head. “don’t. it feels nice.”

you smiled softly but god, jake was not helping your case of losing feelings. he closes his eyes while you played with his hair. he looked so good, it made you breathless. the moonlight on his face, god, jake looked ethereal.

“but what about you?” he started to ask while you continue to play with his hair softly. “you seemed like you lost interest in the stars over the years.”

you paused, unsure of what to say. “it’s not that i lost interest …” your voice trails off. “nothing seems to be going my way in this universe.”

jake smiles softly at that, his eyes still closed while you continue to play with his hair. “but you still believe that there are different universes? you believe in the multiverse still, right?”

you nod. it was the one thing you couldn’t let go off. if you were going through something bad, you would always tell yourself that in another universe, a version of you is going through so much worse but is still pushing on. so, it gave you motivation in life.

“in another universe …” your voice trails off, thinking. “i got to do what i wanted in school.”

the aussie boy opens his eyes, looking at you. “in another universe, sunghoon didn’t take the last piece of chicken!”

you both laugh at that. this was the kid you fell for. the one who always had your heart even when you were dating other people.

you didn’t know what came over you but it was as if you had no control over yourself when your mouth started to form the words.

“in another universe …” you paused, before saying what you have always wanted to say. “we are dating.”

jake looks at you, with a certain look on his face that you could not quite tell. was it shock? was it happiness? or was it just nothing at all?

“i mean-“ you started to say to save yourself. you stopped playing with his hair, panicking. did that count as a confession? probably not. but it was something. “it’s the universe! there’s so many possibilities, you know?”

jake looks away, not saying anything. did i fuck up? you thought.

“how disappointing then,” he whispers.

disappointing? did he really see you as nothing but a friend?

“is the thought of dating me really that bad?” you joked, nervously laughing. jake shook his head, looking back at you. “it’s not that, just …” his voice trails off, his eyes staring right back at you. for once, he looked like he was staring at you the same way you looked at the stars.

“why can’t that be this universe?”

you paused. did you hear that right? “what?”

still looking at you, jake repeats what he said softly. “i said, why can’t us dating be in this current universe?”

your eyes widen. did he just …

“yes, idiot, i like you. a lot.”

all the words left your mouth. you did not know what to say. jake likes you back?

he looks at you, hoping for some type of reply or reaction from you. “i …” you begin to say. “… hope that we are living in the universe where we date, too.”

jake smiles at that, his hand going up to the back of your neck before pulling you down for a short and sweet kiss. he pulls away, both of you having the same childish grins on your face.

in another universe …

wait, no.

in this universe, you are happily dating the one that had your heart for years.
