and remember when tsuna said "and i don’t intend to inherit the current vongola" (and how before that he officially said to nono "i would like to… turn down the title of the tenth boss of vongola.”) to which enma said "hahaha, you’re still saying that. that’s just unfair of you, sawada tsunayoshi. isn’t the crest on your gloves proof of the vongola? that’s who you’ll always be. you’re at the center of the vongola, and have been benefiting the most from the vongola’s power. and then, when the going gets tough, you escape from the responsibility. wielding the vongola crest, getting others involved, hurting them, then saying that you won’t succeed as the boss. you hope too much."

and remember when tsuna immediately denied it, saying "......!! ...... no!! i didn’t mean to hurt others! i want to use this power to protect my friends! that’s how it’s been until now... and always will be!" but enma said "a fraud like primo. you liar. do you seriously think you could escape from your bloody fate?"

and remember how the vindice said "what you must fight for in this battle, is your pride!!" and reborn said "it's natural to think that they're talking about the pride of being mafia" to which tsuna immediately said "but i'm not mafia!! i don't have an ounce of pride as mafia!!" but then adel said "everyone holds a different pride within themselves."

and then, remember how by the end of the arc tsuna said "my pride is... you. my pride is... my comrades, my friends!!"

Your worldbuilding and characterization is so amazing, i love itv So that's why, thank youuuuuu really much for for making this gem!

Secondly, i found the listed out the maybe oneshots of charas that will be featured in post canon. Which lead to this; is it possible for basil and enma cameo? Even just one of them is fine! I found that basil wasnt written a lot in fanfics, so to find him in this story is such a delight! Multiple times at that and having a big role too! It really makes me happy to see him so Thank you again! And enma, i just found the heacanon of him and tsuna being best friend is so lovely and making me want to see them just having fun. Enma is such a cinnamon roll and considering his past, i want to see him happy. Or the hyper trio! They have a place in my heart, those three. The trio just taking out the todoroki children to have fun and maybe watch a movie.

Which character from Katekyo Hitman Reborn is most likely to die on their own terms, taking an enemy out with them?

Out of the Arcobaleno, I do think this would be Lal or Colonello. Both are trained soldier, who have had it hammered into them that their lives are not important, as long as a mission is completed, the enemy neutralized. They’re taught to put their lives on the line for the greater good. While both would do their best to make sure they’re not going to die without a damn good fight, if they do realize that there’s no chance for them to escape with their lives, both are going to do everything they can to take as many enemies out with them as possible.

Out of Primo’s Generation, G. is the one who would have pulled this. It was worse in his younger years, when he was sort of reckless in battle (his opinion was that it didn’t much matter how badly he got hurt or how much danger he was in, as long as his friends and those innocents in the town were safe and the enemies were taken out) and it does get better, but G., if there was absolutely no chance he was walking away from a fight alive, is focusing on taking the enemy down in mutually assured destruction. If that’s not a possibility, he’s making sure he can warn his friends in some way.

You’d expect, therefore, that out of Tsuna’s family, I’d say Gokudera is the one most likely to do this but I honestly don’t think he is. In fact, out of Tsuna’s family, I think Chrome is the most likely to do this. It’s not really something she’ll default to. If at all possible, if it’s just her, she’s going to try to run away, but when her precious people are on the line, the enemy has them in their sights, Chrome is more than willing to put her life on the line to ensure the enemy gets taken out and her friends remain safe. She’s already died once…she was given a second chance at life because of her precious people and if that second life is snuffed out to ensure they get to live and thrive, why not?

Out of the Varia, Mammon, Lussuria, and Belphegor are all going to do everything at all possible to survive. But if death is impossible to avoid, I do believe each and every one of the Varia are absolutely taking out as many people as they can and having fun doing so before dying.

Enma actually does not fear death. While he’s not exactly looking to die anytime soon and is always going to try to find a way to get back to his family, I do think if push came to shove in a fight where he knew he was going to die, he would make sure to die a hero’s death, making his family and friends safe even at the cost of his life.

Thank you for the kind words, nonny! I interpreted it as a dynamic wherein Gokudera and Enma are separately dating the same person, with informed consent. I honestly might add more/change my mind on these after I reread the Simon arc and get a refresher on their interactions in canon, but I have a few thoughts on it. I could not pass up an opportunity to talk about polyamory, so I hope these suffice for now!

♡ Gokudera/SO/Enma Headcanons ✧

Gokudera and Enma met through Tsuna and only grew closer when they both started dating the same person. Their S/O was completely transparent about it as their individual relationships developed, and the two men were initially pretty awkward around each other unless their shared partner was present. I think that the bond that they form as time goes on is still fairly platonic, if not only physically.. intimate, on occasion, with their partner in between.

In the beginning, Hayato felt quite tense about the arrangement and had to work through some of his insecurities to wrap his head and heart around the idea of not competing for his S/O’s affections. Enma is fairly accepting from the get-go, trusting his S/O’s positive words about Gokudera, but not being very proactive in getting to know him any more than that.

They filled different relationship niches, and it was surprisingly easy to fall into a comfortable routine, since the boys were busy with different things at different times. Their S/O gets some of the Vongola drama and Simon drama mixed up sometimes, as they both vent to their partner about new developments and whatever’s been stressing them out lately.

It’s fairly interesting for their S/O to introduce their boyfriends because from photos, people often assume that both of them are super edgy bad boys, and they only hear about how sweet and soft these guys can be from their S/O. It’s not until they meet the boyfriends in question that it all makes sense. Gokudera and Enma may be the ultimate scary dog privilege, but they have a reputation amongst their friends of being super whipped for their S/O.

Their key bonding moment was when S/O suggested that they go to a cat cafe together, since all three of them have a soft spot for kitties. Enma taught Hayato a thing or two about how to properly handle the animals, and the storm guardian was so excited when some of the cats voluntarily snuggled into his lap. It was one of the moments where it both clicked in each of their minds what their S/O saw in the other.

Both of them can be a bit scatterbrained and will leave their rings, bracelets, and belt chains behind in their S/O’s living space after visiting. They even get them mixed up sometimes, and initially would constantly find themselves going ‘did I always have this ring?’ before it clicks in their head that it belongs to their boyfriend-in-law.

enma is so fucking cold-blooded as the tenth shimon boss and i LOVE to see it. you really have to wonder if he's the same boy we saw up until then the way tsuna does, and it's so interesting tsuna is the one to ask himself that because like, hello tsuna, you're literally looking into a mirror right now!! except he isn't, not really, because whenever tsuna has to own up to the fact he was made to become mafia even if he fights against it and some mafia bullshit is happening he has to deal with and the safety of his friends and family hangs on how he deals with it, he's still all about reluctance and mercy and compassion and protection and love, but enma?

enma absolutely cannot afford to remain the kind boy who hates the mafia and wishes he never had anything to do with it as the tenth shimon boss, not when his circumstances are so much crueler than tsuna's and the mafia costed him so much more, independently of that awful deception which is at the heart of all of it. not when his hatred of the mafia is so deeply personal, is entirely emotional instead of rational like tsuna, is past and on going when for tsuna it's still only occasional and future. not when his survival and the one of the little family he has left hang on him proving that they are mafia too, and among the strongest too so to stop other mafiosi and mafia families to look down upon them and hurt them just because they can and think they deserve it.

so when tsuna's resolve as vongola decimo is only ever the extension of his resolve as tsuna despite what one might think at first glance, because he only ever turns his wish to keep his important people safe into strength that spurs him into action when before it was fear that urged him to run away, enma's resolve as shimon decimo is all about locking enma away so he can do what he needs to do. his resolve is all about turning his back to his wishes so to focus on what the shimon family needs, and because of all the odds against them and their circumstances his resolve can only be cold and ruthless and merciless and hurting and hateful and vengeful, and it's nothing like him but it isn't about him, can't be about him. it's about how he's bound to his duties as the tenth shimon boss, and how he embraces them because the shimon family is all he has left.

and still both their resolves are the exact same, are about keeping their family safe and alive, but one can do that while going against the rules of the mafia, while the other has no choice but to embrace the rules of the mafia and enforce them to his favor for once. and they end up standing on opposite sides and oh, the drama of it all, *chef's kiss*.
