Hello Everyone! So I have been doing a lot of digital art lately as you may notice from all the pictures I have posted heh😅. I was talking to a friend recently and she encouraged me for quiet awhile now to try and draw my OC Selena, so I figured why not heh 😅 so I have been playing around with different styles, the main two styles I used as reference were EOA and TTS so I have 1 Eoa design which is number 1 and 2 TTS designs which are the last two.😊 (Click for better quality)

I am not an artist so I know these don’t look super clean and crisp like all the other amazing talented artists friends I’ve met here. I think they came out okay? Heh😅 But I am leaning, hopefully I’ll get better at drawing heh. I would love to hear your opinions/comments of which one you like/looks better? I am trying to pick an official design for her and I would love to hear your votes 💖 Tips and advise you would like to share that I could use to get better at drawing, feel free to comment or send as ask if you like 😅. Quirin and Victor are my favorite Disney dads. I would die for their relationships with Varian and Carla. Change my mind.

Hello Anon! Heh I agree I really love the relationships they have with their children. I truly love the the bond they have formed throughout the series.

I had my doubts at first when I first stated watching TTS because Quirin kept getting mad at Varian and not really encouraging his love for alchemy. I agreed with Quirin on some points as to how alchemy is dangerous and it’s out their home I’m danger many times as we had seen in What the Hair episode. I didn’t like how he kept hiding secrets from him especially important ones like the Black Rocks, I think much trauma would have been avoided if Varian had known about the past of his Mother and Father.

But as Season 2-3 came aroundI began to grow really fond of the bond they had formed of Father and Son. Quirin had changed and finally encouraged Varian to follow his passion of Alchemy, you can tell how proud he was of Varian as he saw the amazing inventions his son made. He helped Raps and Eugene many times, he stopped the red rocks which alone was hard, and he rebuilt the portal Demanitus made! I mean who wouldn’t be proud of their kid am I right? In all seriousness I think Quirin did a really amazing Job raising Varian in his own, he’s a really amazing and great father✨

Now where to start with Victor and Carla heh 😏 I’ve been rewatching the show lately and I’ve noticed a lot of pros and cons, and many analysts I really want to do about these two. But I’ll save that for a later time heh.

I really love the relationship Victor has with his Daughter, he’s a lot similar to Quirin by being a single dad and raising his only child on his own when the mother disappeared. I love how we get to see the bond and tight relationship between these two, Victor would do anything for Carla. He carries her when she sprained her ankle during that snow storm, he was cold and was barley walking himself yet he put his daughters needs before his own. That’s real true fatherly love, Throughout the series you can see how much they have bonded and how much their relationship as father and daughter grows. I’ve always sided with Victor when Ash came into the picture, because a real parent is someone who loves their child and doesn’t leave them alone with their husband to take care of while they go on a journey or learn magic. It’s wrong, and I’ve always agreed with Victor on being the best parent Carla had.

I’m sorry I so wasn’t expecting to make this a long post to answer a simple question lol😅 but I couldn’t help myself heh, I’ve been watching the show and have a lot of thoughts on these two and many others lol 😂. Thanks for the ask!

Hi. Is there anybody else besides me in the Tangled the Series and Elena’s of Avalor fandom who loves Victor and Carla and their redemption WAY better than Cassandra’s? Or is it just me?

Hello Anon! Yes I have to agree that I love the redemption arch of Carla and Victor better than Cassandras.

There are so many points and differences of these two redemption arch’s, I’ll only name a few because I have so many issues with the redemption arch of Cassandra 😑

As we all know Victor and Carla got redeemed because they offered to help Elena stop Ash. They acknowledge what they did was wrong and felt guilty about what they did when they became Malvagos. They were willing to help Elena and defeat Ash, her mother and his wife. They made up for their mistakes and crimes, they showed everyone that they were willing to take whatever punishment they were going to give them.

Now with Cass it’s different, don’t get me wrong I love her character but her redemption arch wasn’t even really a redemption. It was rushed, sloppy, and made absolutely no sense. They never explained how her redemption arch really was, like they never said If she was actually sorry for what she did to Corona. She didn’t even get a punishment for all we know, she just upped and left without even trying to help clean up the mess she made. Plus it’s totally not fair that Varian went to prison and did time for his crimes that lets admit were not as bad as Cass, yet she didn’t get any punishment.

All I can say is that I love both shows, they hold a special place in my heart. But they could have definitely made Cass redemption arch so much better. It was to Rushed and Cass didn’t do anything really to receive redemption, these are just my thoughts and options.

Know what always bothers me? Whenever I see somebody headcanon that Victor and Quirin aren’t Carla and Varian’s biological fathers. Just because they don’t take after their fathers on appearance doesn’t mean they are unrelated!

Hmm I don’t think I’ve actually read a lot of Head-canons that say that Varian and Carla aren’t related to their biological fathers?.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, just because you don’t look or have the exact same features as your parents doesn’t mean that they aren’t your real parents. I’m Hispanic and I have a pretty big family heh, so a lot of people tell me that I don’t look anything like my parents, but just because I don’t look exactly like my parents doesn’t mean that they aren’t.

I believe the kids inherited some of the traits of their parents like eye color, nose, laugh, smile ect. Some also inherited the traits of their other family members like aunts and uncles. I believe that Varian got most of his looks from his mom than his father, and he got a little bit of the personality of his father.

As for Carla I believe she inherited more traits of her father personality wise, but appearance wise she looks a lot like her mom. I know I’ve said this and I have repeated it many times lol 😅 but you don’t have to look exactly like your parents to know that your related to them✨
