What fans say:
Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie:
Extremely accurate to the actual books while still having its own self-contained plot, and also making the core cast more likeable. Might legitimately be the best animated adaptation there is, and yet it's about two kids hypnotizing a grown man into running around in his underwear for laughs.
All Dogs go to Heaven:
The best redemption arc. I cry every time.

The Zelda movie needs to be silly, but not in a "haha so quirky" modern Disney princess kind of way. It needs to be unabashedly goofy and weird with the same genuine sincerity as presented in the games. It needs to have plot points and or characters that make you go "huh??" in the most endeared way possible. It needs to have serious moments that are unintentionally whacky as fuck. I won't accept a Zelda movie that takes itself completely seriously unless they're pulling some Oscar winning story out of their ass (which won't happen). Don't ever let them take the silly out of Zelda

Bird Racing
Imagine:
Being a bird racer like nod and having one of the fastest birds and during one of your guy's races one of the other racers played dirty knocking you off of your bird and nod loses his place as he goes to save you.
"You know I kinda like this me saving you and all we should do it more often, it's nice to see you flustered when you thank me"

CU fun fact of the day: the book series was banned from many school libraries over the years for being immature and teaching kids to defy authority, but in 2015 it was extra super banned when the time travel book dropped and revealed that Harold is canonically gay.
Isle of Dogs:
Learn more about Wes Anderson's racism.
It's a Wes Anderson, and it's stop motion, it's set in the perspective of dogs, which already is super cool; there's English and Japanese dialogue, and we aren't given subtitles for the Japanese, allowing us to better understand the dogs perspective (but we can understand the English, which does bring up a few questions regarding the language the dogs speak in), it's a beautiful/sad/unique story. Smooth animation. Great characters, all that jazz.
Stop motion. Wholesome. Cool take on translation. The beat just doesn't stop.
It's gorgeous handmade stopmotion with amazing humor.

Here's another round of the color wheel challenge, this time with my favorite characters.
It's difficult to find any characters I like from different series in warmer colors (mainly red & orange) so I have to stick to the ones from the same series instead. lol

Something I noticed on my second or third watch of the movie. Harold never closes his bag after they retrieve the turtle from Krupp. He just kind of leaves it sticking out with no obstructions (bear in mind that this fucking thing can move its head on its own).
Assuming it automatically starts recording whenever it detects George and Harold (as somewhat demonstrated twice earlier in the movie) this little shit possibly captured footage of George and Harold fucking around with hypnotised Krupp, and probably caught Krupp stripping in 4K when he turns into Captain Underpants for the first time. It's honestly just as well that nobody else got their hands on the turtle or they'd really be screwed.
