Ooh, this looked cool! Luffy got mad about Doffy hurting his little brother, they clash like in Dressrosa. This time Law's just kinda standing there. He's fully in damsel in distress mode for this are and I like it. He rushes to tend to Cora and Zoro/Sanji step up to take on Trebol who tried to horn in. Great Dressrosa callbacks, lot of good action this time. Doesn't leave me with a lot to talk about but it's fun. Mentioned this a few chapters ago but the Academy author is getting quite good at drawing fight scenes.
Hope we move on soon, but enjoying the ride for now.
While cleaning out Greg’s storage unit, both Greg and Amethyst reunite over not cleaning the whole storage unit, but over an old VHS tape they found from one of the boxes in the vicinity that contains an old television sitcom they used to watch called “Lil’ Butler”. “Maximum Capacity” premiered on this day, 9 Years Ago.
I’m tired. I never stop being tired. If I were going to progress in any way, that is the chief aspect of my situation that I would need to fix. You can’t change anything if you are always too tired to do anything but follow instructions.
Thank You For Saying Thank You (2003) by Charles Bernstein
In Episode 43, Rachel shares the longest poem yet!
Rachel: He (Charles Bernstein) was one of the originators of quote "Language Poetry"-
Griffin: -is that not... all poetry?
Rachel: Well, it became a thing in the 60's and 70's, because it emphasizes the reader's role in bringing meaning out of the work; seeing the poem as a construction in, and of language, itself.
If you'd like to hear more about Language Poetry, Charles Bernstein, or be delighted by Rachel's take on the Poetry Corner's jazzy theme song, you can do so here: Davey Coolstools Math Poetry from 4:24-12:43.
These two just kinda...not wanting to fight Trebol is such a mood. I'm glad he got dealt with offscreen mostly. Doffy fight continues from the first half of the chapter. Looks to be winding down. He didn't actually target Cora's vitals, dawwww. Which is alright because Doffy has been a little less of an outright villain this go around. I do like the idea of him getting an Academy redemption arc.
Once again we hammer the brothers theme. This is great to pair with Ace's side of Wano (oh yeah he and Yamato can just hang out) and of course a special sibling pair there.
