I have way too many ideas about this so its probably more like a newsie equestrian AU now.

I like to think that Jack is really like just a low key sort of rider at first. He first got into horses as a kid when he met Charlie (Crutchie) who's family who owned a few horses. Jack started helping take care of the horses when he came over which started his love of horses.

When Jack went into foster care at age 12, he moved in with Charlie and his family, and Charlie started teaching him how to ride. They meet Race in school who's mom is a trainer at a racetrack (how he got his nickname) and they kinda form their on "pony pals".

They ride together a bunch at Charlie's, mainly just having fun with each other. But Jack want's go further with horses so he starts working at at the racing barn in exchange for lessons from an instructor who works there.

Now Davey on the other hand has had a more structured experience with horses. He really liked horses as a little kid so his parents signed him and his sister up at a barn for lessons. So he and Sarah took lessons twice a week until middle school where his trainer said they should try a different barn that specialized in jumping and competed in higher level competitions.

The barn Davey and Sarah joined was super elite and pretty much just full of rich kids. They felt really out of place but eventually bad friends with Kathrine who's father owned the racing barn on the same property.

Finally, Jack and Davey end up meeting each other at the barns? Its a racing barn that lets other trainers lease space to teach. Jack thinks Davey's really stuck up when they first meet since he see's him returning from a show, ribbons in hand, wearing super fancy clothes.

Davey thinks that Jack's not serious about riding since he's never riding when Davey sees him or goofing off with Race and Charlie when they're around. And maybe he's a bit jealous and of Jack having friends. and also think's Jack's cute but won't admit it.

I have a lot of other ideas but that's kinda the background of the AU!

DSMP Equestrian AU Rambles [P 1]

Hi hello! I've been trying to make and plan a Dream SMP equine AU for months now, but I don't think it's ever going to get to a point I'll be able to write a full on story about it, so I thought I'd just post some notes and thoughts about the various characters and horses I have planned starting with the dream team. Okay yes here goes-

So the dynamics themselves don't really play out like the DSMP storyline. Everyone is usually very friendly, with some bantering and rivalries between people during competitions or casual rides.

Dream's older brother is DreamXD, who I've named Aegis. He owns and runs the stables, however Dream does still have authority of how things run since Aegis steps away for long periods of time to compete overseas. Drista also has some authority! But she doesn't take her duties very seriously. Honestly, she just likes causing as much mischief as possible knowing fully well she can get away with so much stuff

Aegis, Dream, and Drista all own horses who are related to one another in some kind of way. Aegis and Dream got horses from the same sire and dam, while Drista got a horse from the same sire but different dam. Drista and Aegis' horses hate each other, but Spirit tolerates Aegis' horse to a little bit of a degree. Let's just say he's very nosy.

Aegis' horse is a buckskin gelding who has escaped his stall more times than Dream can reasonably count. They always find him in the weirdest of places in the morning and at this point Fundy is convinced he's not a horse. Drista's horse is a grey stallion! She likes to braid a small chunk of his mane and tail and spoils him with treats. He's usually very well behaved and stands well under saddle, but will try and kick the living daylights out of Aegis' horse (He almost kicked him and the two agreed never again). Drista thinks it's funny. Aegis does dressage and Drista does Cross Country

Dream owns a dominant white mare named Spirit! She's a retired show jumper after an accident they had, but the two of them still like to compete sometimes. Dream was the one who convinced Aegis to start up the stables in the first place, wanting to create a safe community where rookies to the equestrian world could have a safe and fun community to fall back on while they find their footing. He also likes to braid her mane, and Dream finds it cute when he and Drista's horses match

Sapnap is a western rider with his seal bay stallion named Mars! They mainly do reining, however Sapnap helps to train some of the new horses that come into the stables. He, Quackity, and Karl hit it off together quickly, and it's safe to say Sapnap is no longer allowed in the hayloft after what happened last time. Sapnap used to ride at a different stable, but moved to Esempii after Dream extended an invitation to him

George is a dressage rider who owns a dunalino overo stallion named Beckerson! He became an equestrian because Dream and Sapnap were really into the community and he wanted to spend more time with them. Thus cue the journey of him getting Beckerson and Dream and Sapnap helping him learn about horse ownership for the first two years. Thankfully Beckerson is very well bred and has an awesome temperament, which made his introduction to everything a little more smooth. George rides Dressage, but he doesn't mind a little bit of show jumping sometimes

I'll be adding a lot of more information later (and maybe some art I've done of the horses-)

Equestrian newsie AU

so I'd say they're probably like in high school in this au.

Jack would be taking lessons at the race track and Davey would be too. Race would work at the racetrack, as a groom and sells inside info to betters. Spot would be a jockey? I can't remember what the people who exercise the horses are called but anyway...the other Brooklyn newsies would also be jockeys or something.

Race and Spot and the other newsies also run an underground betting network at the track. They get lots of inside knowledge about competitors from other grooms and regular betters.

So Jack and Davey are sorta rivals/dislike each other when they meet. Jack thinks Davey's snobby and Davey thinks Jack isn't serious about riding.

They end up running into each other a bunch all the while Kathrine is is telling Davey about her father doing something bad. Jack starts hearing rumors around the barn about horses being held back or undertrained. Race begins to realize there's a pattern to the odds of the races and horses when Pulitzer's involved.

Eventually Jack and Race talk about the suspicious happenings and then Davey overhears them and tells them about Kathrine's hunch. So Davey and Kathrine join Race, Spot, Jack, and Charlie to find the answer.

I'm not entirely sure what would happen but in the end they find out that Pulitzer's been fixing odds for his horses and taking illegal bets.

Davey and Jack end up becoming friends. Most of the newsies show up one way or another, Albert joining Race as a groom, Sarah dating Kathrine...

I still have a bunch more ideas for this au :)

Genshin Guys Modern Equestrian AU! (Part 1)

A/N: lots of horse terms that I will admit Im too lazy to write it all out. Also some i was more excited to write than others(*cough cough* Albedo-).

Aether: international competitor

-he’s always traveling the world going to big competitions, getting lost along the way

-it’s just him, his camper and his horse

Albedo: horse breeder

-he loves working with foals and any baby horse coming out of his barn is going to become a champion

-he handles each foal from a young age so that they’re prepared for proper training and the real world

-he’s super sweet with each baby and each mare gets a proper pampering before and after giving birth

-don’t mess with his mares or babies, you’ll be very sorry

-he loves to come to his barn everyday and his play with the foals 

-I’m sure he has his own stallion that he jumps and takes to competitions out of town

-He does Jumpers (around 1.2 meters) and has a decent standing

-every once and a while he’ll enter a Grand Prix

Arataki Itto: riding is not something he does competitively nor does he care much for it

-he likes to get on a horse every now and then but it’s just for fun

-he’s not an expert in the slightest and sometimes has trouble staying on

-gallops in the beach, or trail rides he’ll probably do

-if an experienced rider saw him rider they would need a couple stress toys

Bennett: Pony Hunter Jumper

-has his own bucksokpony and goes to local horse shows

-he loves it so much, it is so much fun for him

-he has a large pony and jumps anywhere from 2ft to 2ft 6in

-he always goes around the ring beautifully but his bad luck kicks in on the last jump, whether he has a bad distance or knocks the rail down or the pony gets spooked, it’s always near the very end

-his pony will follow him around sometimes if it can and always loves on him

-it’s the only creature that somehow stays in tact even with all his bad luck

Chongyun: he does liberty and free riding

-he has a couple pure white horses he works with and a black Freisian that he lightly rides and does tricks with

-sometimes he’ll do performances at competitions

-he loves his horses so much

-his Friesian is the horse he’s had for the longest time, he practically raised that thing from birth and it loves him to pieces

-the Friesian knows the most tricks

-expect to see Chongyun just chilling in his horse’s stall doing homework or just going stuff

Gorou: Eventing

-leases a gelding and goes to international competitions if he qualifies

-he’s in the preliminary(3ft 7in) preparing for intermediate(3ft 9in) level 

-does best in cross country

Kazuha: Horse Whisperer

-probably does some  liberty too

-doesn’t compete

-he probably rides tackless every once in a while

-people pay him to “talk” to their horses and somehow there is always major improvement in the horse’s and rider’s overall well-being afterwards

-he has one horse he does everything with and is barely ever separated from

-his horse lives basically in his backyard, he loves that thing

Kaeya: Equestrian Clothing model

-he used to often ride(equitation) and be very competitive and well known

-now, he shows off and models equestrian clothes for magazines and online stores

-nsfw shoots with horses? He’d do those too

-female riders know who he is and what he looks like, he’s a heartthrob

Ayato: English Riding Horse Instructor

-he inherited the family stables, they are very prestigious and many of the richest take lessons and keep their horses with him

-he does out of town horse shows and many of his riders win multiple times

-he taught Ayaka everything she knows in her discipline

-he even teaches people who don’t ride at his stables

-he’s well versed with Jumpers, Hunter Jumper, Equitation, and Dressage(but he only ever taught Ayaka)

Razor: Groom

-he’s not very educated and he works as a stable groom cleaning horses, cleaning out stalls, picking up poop, sweeping, etc.

-he really wants to ride and is jealous of those who do

-he has one horse that is his favorite and he’ll always make sure he does any chore related to that horse

-he watches lessons through the windows when he works and always loves watching the horses go around

-he’s very good at his job and doesn’t mind it even if he ends the day covered in filth, he feels at home

Tartaglia: he leases expensive horses and makes bank from them 

-He uses that money to buy other more expensive horses

-he does Jumper competitions every so often

-he owns his own personal stallion(that horse is massive) that he jumps super high with

Thoma: Right Hand Stableman of the Kamisato Stables

-he’s basically the barn manager

-Ayato brings him to every horse competition to help manage and stay on top of things

-Thoma himself doesn’t ride but he likes horses and every single one seems to love him somehow

-he always carries little treats and mints with him and sneak them to the horses when he can

-everybody knows Thoma and everybody loves Thoma, not one person has said anything bad about him

-nothing gets lost and Thoma is sure to set Ayato’s mental schedule straight 

-he loves his job however he does work a little too much, he’s too nice to ask Ayato to hire more help, he’s also nervous said help will not do thing shut particular way Ayato would like it
