TMI abut mens sexual health and a question for men over 50 below.

I am 52, over-weight, and I have erectile dysfunction.

The ED started around 2018, after I lost my job and I remained mostly unemployed until 2022. The ED came and went. Sometimes "it" worked, other times it didn't. But as time went on, "it" didn't work more often than it would.

I attributed the ED to both my weight gain, my age, and the stress of being unemployed. Plus covid, not being active going to the gym, etc.

I had a good sexual run in my life, lots of partners, lots of great sex. I am okay with "it" not working anymore. I'm not in a relationship. And my previous partner preferred to be stimulated orally or manually anyhow.

But here's the question - I still get these "huge raging hard-ons" that wake me up while I am sleeping!

But during waking hours? Nope!

Does anyone else here have ED? Is this normal? Why does "it" work at 3am while I am asleep but not at 8pm when someone is trying to stimulate me?
