if mcyt isn’t fiction then

people who create dnd characters that are similar to them in personality are just playing themselves and should not be treated as having made a character

people who make any other dnd character should also be treated as just playing themselves since people refuse to even consider roleplay smps as fiction

any ocs someone puts a bit of themselves into? nope not fiction!

actors who play a character with the same first name as them aren’t really acting

and so on

maybe YOU can’t separate characters and real people and think that everything you see from a youtuber even when they’re explicitly acting is how they are in real life but we as a fandom just don’t have that issue lol. we’ve had disclaimers and indicators for when we’re talking about characters and not content creators for years because a certain smp contained a character having suicidal thoughts as a result of abuse at the hands of another character and we needed to make it absolutely crystal clear that we were referring to a fictional storyline and not real guy #1 being an abuser and real guy #2 being suicidal. these customs have either extended into other corners of mcyt fandom, or some developed their own independently like hispanic mcyt fans have used the word cubito to distinguish mc guy from real life guy from years, a term that other language speakers liked so much we’ve also started picking it up lol

we know exactly what we’re doing. i get that the line maybe does seem more blurred to an outsider looking in (i wouldn’t know given that both my first fandom at age 12 and current fandom at age 20 were mcrp lol) but it’s universally understood amongst us. i don’t have a problem separating hermitcraft!gem and empires s1!gem the wizard with a twin brother and empires s2!gem the princess and cc!gem the real life canadian woman.

idk it rubs me the wrong way that after years of trying to explain this we’re either met with people calling us racists because of three guys that the rest of us (all of us, really, because dream team fans do not claim to be minecraft fans. those are the type to actually write rpf and ship the real life racist guys) hate probably a lot more than any of you do, or they watch a few minutes of a less roleplay-heavy series/part and decide that the entire medium is invalid as a form of storytelling

it’s so annoying. i don’t think we need to be understood to have validity as a fandom we’ve been doing this for years already without that but it is so infuriating and sad how whenever there’s some kind of fandom poll thing one of three things happens

mcyt fans are banned outright and placed on the same level as something like hp

an mcyt fan runs their own and gets harassed for it

a non-mcyt fan allows us in until they get harassed so badly by whatever fandoms we go up against that they end up deleting our bracket

in what world is that normal behaviour. and that harassment always involves calling them all racist cishet white men such as misgendering both eret (real life bisexual genderqueer person) and their character (also queer), attempting to harass jimmy solidarity fans because jimmy makes mc videos so he must be a dream associate (the only time they interacted was in a tournament during which dream and georgenotfound shittalked jimmy’s best friends to his face), all the shit quackity has gotten for being a former friend of the dream team as if he wasn’t the #1 victim of their racism and xenophobia, the fact that any time c!technoblade is involved in a poll we have to beg other fandoms not to talk shit about him because the real life man died of cancer before dream’s grooming allegations came out, similarly when tfc was in one. and so on and so forth. all because people can’t separate roleplay and real life and think that the entire minecraft sphere revolves around dream just because their idea of mcyt does (not even his own smp named after him did that).

httyd hcs abt the gang's relationship to eret bc we were deprived.

eret has a sense of camaraderie with all of them eventually, but it's super rough to get along with anyone besides astrid & hiccup at first

him & astrid get along the best, obv. they spar, they talk shit, they open up abt serious things, they trade information

eret dealing with how quickly he's changed his life & while astrid doesn't fully understand she rmrs how quickly her mind had been changed & getting used to it.

stormfly still plays fetch with eret (with a stick or... with him LMAO but it helps him get used to falling from large heights & trusting he'll be caught by a dragon, either her or skullcrusher)

hiccup immediately trusts eret as much as he trusts anyone he's known for years & eret doesn't know if he deserves it but he strives to make it so he does

eret has HIGH respect for hiccup & understands what he's going through to an extent as the son of a chief (tho hiccup is chief now). hiccup is one of the only ones who know eret was son of a chief.

yea i'm going off of what was said abt fire tides with eret being the son of a chief

eret figures out exactly where toothless likes to be pet & always has to give him a scratch under the chin to say hello

fishlegs enthusiasm for dragons & infodumping is a lot for eret at first, but very quickly fishlegs unabashedly is sweet, gentle, shy, patient, & still has the ability to bite back at ppl (mostly snotlout & the twins) & eret is like okay word

fishlegs helps eret understand skullcrusher more, as he's more than eager to step into the role of teacher (this makes hiccup happy)

fishlegs tells eret abt his family's regatta history & eret is actually invested!! he's interested!!! in turn, eret shows fishlegs his ship!!

eret: (sees meatlug) oh. (gives her a snack) (gives her a snack) (gives her a snack) (gives her a

we know snotlout sees eret as a rival but eret doesn't Care™️ but it'd be funnier i think if eret doesn't Care™️ but also enjoys mildly taking the piss out of snotlout for fun

it's so easy to work snotlout up & after eret's had his fun for a few months he casually brings it up to snotlout & snotlout wants to crawl into a hole & die

they do become good friends & it's weird for ppl outside of the gang bc eret is so dry towards snotlout vs snotlout still getting in eret's face (affectionate)

hookfang just likes to push himself into eret's personal space & cuddle(?) so eret just allowe it LMAO

it's ruffnut's bluntness that has eret finally relax around her.

she defends him in a rather mundane event of eret getting heckled (again) by berkians who don't trust him (this is like, month 5 of him living on berk) by looking at each viking & roasting them calmly from the ground up with information they didn't know she knew

eret tells her thanks & she just... smiles at him. so he gives her a kiss on the cheek & it's a rare moment of ruff getting slightly flushed

tuffnut is actually very easy to get along with. he always checks on eret & makes sure he's doing alright (in his tuffnut way)

tuffnut is so blasé abt things while also being one of the most hyper ppl eret has ever met & it's so intriguing to eret how someone can be a walking contradiction but make it make sense so easily

tuffnut gives eret unprompted pep talks & eret tries to respond in kind instead of fully brushing tuff off & tuff is like :D

barf & belch are as chaotic as their riders & maybe... maybe... eret will enable them on occassion (yes he will. what? it's funny).

eret rlly learns abt everyone & learns to like them for them as they like him for him :)

also they all saw him without a shirt ONE TIME (1) & haven't shut up abt it since

I was thinking about everyone's relationships with their dragons, and it kinda seems like this:

Hiccup and Toothless: It seems to me like these guys are just best friends, you know? Like, if Toothless was a human, he and Hiccup would be as close as brothers.

Fishlegs and Meatlug: And this one feels like Meatlug is the closest to being treated the most like a pet out of the riders. What with Fishlegs constantly cooing over her and giving her treats and special food rubs or something...

Snotlout and Hookfang: This one is...kinda weird. Sometimes Hookfang risks his life for Snotlout. Other times he just watches him almost die. I really don't understand them at all. --Not in a bad way though, lol, these two make my day.

The twins and Barf and Belch: These guys just exist. I don't know. Their dragon is just an idiot drone with zero personality. Like, sometimes they can't even walk straight, you know??

Astrid and Stormfly: Lol, this is the funny one. To me it feels like Stormfly thinks she's Astrid's mother lol. You can't say I'm wrong lolll, Stormfly just seems to adopt everyone she likes. Like with Eret-- cuddling down on top of him like a mother hen lol.

To hear that you were moving here had made everyone exited to meet you

They all just didn't expect you to be as mischievous as you were

Dream and Punz mostly stayed away from you, knowing that your other vampire form could probably kill them in an instant. But you liked to tease Punz from time to time, just to see the blood rise to his cheeks;

You visited Kinoko Kingdom a lot, mostly because the red mushrooms were a great way for you to stay fed, but you also enjoyed the George, Sapnap and Karl's company and vice versa;

Bad and you seemed to have completely hit it off, a demon/vampire friendship that no one expected. But since you are basically a second Skeppy, who's your best friend and the person you cause mischief with the most, it's no wonder you get along so well;

You, Wilbur and Quackity had a weird...dynamic. Alone, you got along with both of them, but the second you three are all togheter all hell breaks lose;

Phil and Techno were pretty friendly. You and Philza had bumped into eachother while on a flight many times, and you liked to tease Techno by sucking the red off of his cape;

Niki is basically the Princess Bubblegum to your Marcelline. You tease her, and she finds it annoying, but in the end you two are still very fond of eachother;

Eret was someone you were always scared of talking to. He reminded you so much of a person you had met when you were younger, so you could never find yourself to talk to him;

Another duo you teased is Foolish and Sam, especially Sam. Foolish was always too adorable to torture, so you would sometimes visit Sam in the prison and keep him company by causing a bit of chaos.

A Dragon Trappers Fate (Part 1)

Eret son of Eret x GN!Reader

Summary: You’re forced to tag along on the quest to find Hiccup after he went off, determined to find Drago. While you there you happen to stumble across a certain dragon trapper. You feel… weird when you look at him. Why?

Dragon trappers.

Gods you hated them.

You didn’t appreciate them always cutting your rides short, forcing you to turn back to escape the shots at your dragon.

You tried to avoid them in general and you were successful for the most part. It wasn’t until Hiccup had decided to disobey his father and fly out of the dragon stable on a quest for specific dragon trappers, did you actually have to deal with them again. You didn’t want to get involved but once Stoick and the rest of your friends agreed to go after him, you figured you’d have to go with them.

You rolled your eyes, listening to Stoick grumble about how stubborn his son was,

“Like you’re any different…” You mumbled back, luckily it went unheard by the very intimidating man as you rested your head atop of your dragons. It had been at least half an hour and there was no sign of them, you were getting bored to say the least.

“Ugh, this is taking forever, can we just go back home?” You heard Ruffnut groan. You couldn’t help but agree with her as you stared at the endless lengths of billowing waves. You looked out at the horizon with a small sense of curiosity, wondering if you’d ever live to see the end of the world one day.

“Yeah, maybe we should just turn back.” Fishlegs agreed, you knew he was simply just saying that to agree with Ruffnut. For some reason he and Snotlout were competing for Ruff’s love. To be honest you were secretly rooting for Fishlegs.

When Snotlout wasn’t busy fighting for Ruffnuts attention, he was trying to fight for yours, which like almost every other person on Berk you were not interested in the slightest.

You could tell he was looking over to you trying to gauge your reaction to all of this but your face remained unchanged. Sure you were worried about the well-being of your friends but you were also incredibly bored so…

“I think I should just take the lead and find them.” Snotlout butted in, flying next to you as he puffed out his chest.

“Of course I’m the most qualified for the job with my-“ He continued only for him to be silenced by a quick gesture from Stoick.

“There.” He said sternly, pointing to a boat just a bit of a ways away from you all. Thank the gods, you thought this search would never end.

“I got this.” Snotlout said in a very pompous manner, clearly trying to show off. You simply rolled your eyes in return as he dove down to fetch Hiccup. Sure it seemed effortless but with the way Snotlout and his dragon were, that was not a common effect they’d seem to have.

As you all flew around, the trappers below continued to shoot nets, trying their best to take you down. You successfully dodged them before coming up to Ruff and Tuff. You noticed Ruffnut was clearly occupied by something, once you followed her gaze you saw who she was looking at.

And you could not blame her one bit.

The man she was staring at was quite handsome and well built… for a dragon trapper that is. He has some markings on his chin and his hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. He was attractive to say the least. You were distracted for only a second before noticing a net heading straight for the three of you,

“Ruffnut look out!” You shouted, expecting her to move out of the way but she opened up like she was going to welcome it with open arms. You watched as she just… let herself get trapped.

Luckily it didn’t affect the quality of their flying since the dragon's wings were overall unaffected. You flew over to Tuffnuts side as he watched his sister's reactions with disgust.

“She’s got it bad.” You teased which caused Tuffnut to turn you with a scowl,

“That’s disgusting. Usually I like disgusting things, but not that.” He remarked. You laughed before noticing that Hiccup had gotten loose from Hookfangs grip and had flown back down to the ship.

You rolled your eyes yet again. Man this guy just does not give up.

You managed to land just before Hiccup did and looked over to the head dragon trapper with curiosity. You said nothing though before turning to Hiccup.

“What are you guys doing here?” He asked as the rest landed on the ship after him. Gobber had landed just after him and had successfully managed to trap Eret just under his dragon. You listened to the conversation but it seemed to be more of a father and son thing.

You were close with Hiccup but not close enough to hear in great detail what goes on between him and his father. If anything you hung around Astrid most of the time, your dragons got along and so do you.

As they continued to talk you couldn’t help but look over at Eret who was now trapped underneath Grumpy, Gobbers dragon. You couldn’t help but laugh at the stupidity of the situation as you hopped off your dragon and walked over to him.

His head rested on one of his hands as the other tapped the floor beneath him relentlessly, that was until he noticed you. You crouched in front of him, a teasing smile very noticeably plastered on your face.

“So Eret… huh?” You asked which he scoffed.

“My name, Is Eret son of Eret. I am the finest dragon trapper alive!” He proclaimed, you nodded thinking quietly to yourself,

“He's not lying when he calls himself the finest…”

You were so caught up you almost forgot he was a dragon trapper. Someone who has hunted down, captured and likely killed possibly hundreds of those beautiful creatures, you thought the act to be unforgivable. He also claimed to work under Drago Bludvist which, according to Stoick's story, was not a man you’d want to mess with. And yet here you are looking at this man before you, and instead of disgust or anger… all you feel is curiosity as you take in his features.

The perks of pretty privilege you suppose.

It was an almost weird… surreal feeling you got when you stared at him. It almost felt like déjà vu of some kind, or just like you were meant to meet him? It was strange and you quickly brushed off the feeling.

“What kind of stupid idea is that? Fated to meet, Ha!” You thought to yourself before looking back at the man before you.

You could see the disgust on his face falter for just a second, just as he had noticed the same for you. That was before you had cleared your throat, taking attention away from the fact you were both just… silently staring at each other.

The unprompted staring contest only lasted for a few seconds in reality, but in your thoughts it felt much longer than it should’ve been.

“Well Eret, I'm sure you feel all high and mighty while being squished by that two thousand pound dragon.” You teased, standing back up at your full height so you were no longer even in the range of his eyes level. His ever so slightly softened gaze had once again hardened with anger as he shouted,

“Oh yeah, continue your mockery, it won’t mean anything once Drago has all your dragons!”

Which caught Gobbers attention who told Grump to get up then weigh himself right back down on Eret.

You laughed a bit at this as you walked back over to your dragon, unknowingly being watched by the man you had just talked to. Granted his stare was purely made up of confusion and nothing more but he was staring nonetheless.

“No, head back to Berk, I’ve had enough mutiny for one day!” Stoick ordered, hopping on SkullCrusher.

“Well, I suppose it’s time for us to go, have fun doing… whatever that is.” You teased again, watching as Eret struggled to stand up after finally being released from the weight of the dragon.

Eret stared at you, anger and confusion riddled his face, clearly offended that you would even think to talk to him in such a way. After all he is the finest dragon trapper alive, everyone should be treating him with respect! That’s what he thought anyway.

While he stared at you he failed to notice a very interested Ruffnut make her way over to him and try and plant a kiss on his face.

You watched as he uncomfortably tried to dodge it and for some reason you felt… weird about it. You couldn’t tell if you exactly felt bad for him or not but regardless you called out,

“Come on Ruffnut!”

You don’t know why you called her away from him, you had no real reason to. So what if he’s uncomfortable, he’s a dragon trapper, he doesn’t deserve comfortability after what he had done to all those dragons right?

It’s not like you would have to see him again anyways.

Or so you thought.

Celebrating Snoggletog with them

ft. hiccup, tuffnut, eret, snotlout, astrid, ruffnut

⤷ Hiccup

Hiccup would be very excited. He would wake you up with soft kisses, then he would make you breakfast and then you two would spend whole day together doing lots of different things. Like riding your dragons, snow war, building a snowman and decorating your own small tree in your common house. You would make a hot chocolate together and after that you would go ice skating. But Hiccup don't know how to do it so you would have to teach him. Which would be lots of fun! Hiccup would made a special gift for you and he spend almost six months on it.

⤷ Tuffnut

Tuff would be excited as well. He would wake you up by him singing some Snoggletog/Christmas songs. He would try to make a hot chocolate or some cookies, but he would fail. So he ask you for help which you accepted with a smile, because he did a puppy eyes on you. Then he would want to attack his sister with snow balls so he starts a snow war and surprisingly you two win. Tuff isn't one of the creative people so he tried so hard to think about special gift for you. But he probably asked Ruff for help.

⤷ Eret

Eret never really celebrate Snoggletog so I can say it was his first. And what made him more happy was that he could spend it with you. You would have to show him everything. So you two made hot chocolate and snowman. Then you went on a walk around whole Berk. Eret would ask you on lots of question like why does vikings decorating this big wooden tree and much more. Only thing he knew about Snoggletog was that you are giving and reciving gifts. So he made you something from wood.

⤷ Snotlout

Snotlout was trying all day to impress you but all he did was embarrassed himself. But it was very cute see him try. Hookfang also had a lots of fun, because he teased Snotlout and made him fail in his many attempts to impress you. But one of the things Snotlout enjoyed the most was when he gave you his gift for you. He saw small sparkles in your eyes and how happy you was. He swear himself that day, he's gonna do everything to make you smile and keep you happy.

⤷ Astrid

Astrid would make yaknog ofc! But she wanted your real opinion, because she hates when you lie to her. So when you told her it wasn't good she was little sad, but then you decided to do a small changes on it that she was happy to help you with. And after that it was very delicious. So you decided to go to everyone and serve them yaknog 0.2 and everybody loves it. She would made you a gift as well and it was one of the best gifts.

⤷ Ruffnut

Ruff would want to build a snowman with you. Like whole snowman family and after that she would want to play a snow war which we already know that she lose to Tuff. And that made her little pissed so you had to comfort her mostly with kisses and hugs. After that she would want to bake something and she doesn't care what it is. Then she would want to prank all of her friends. She just want to a lots of things with you. Her gift would be with something you love the most.

"You know, for a replica, this isn't a very accurate depiction of my cell."

Eret drew in a sharp breath, dress flaring out as she quickly spun on her heel to face the man behind her.

Dream had not been sitting on the replica of the prison cell when she had first started to make her rounds, but there were plenty of shadows to get lost in under the cover of night, and she wouldn't have been surprised if he had been lurking for far longer than just the minute she had spent wandering.

The light of the prison cell illuminated her as she stepped forward.

"Why are you here, Dream?" She kept her voice even. Weakness couldn't be shown, not now.

"Oh, I was just in the neighborhood, hanging around, and wanted to check up on a few old friends." He said with unmistakable cheer. His mask covered most of his face, as it had for a long time, but his smile was visible now, like he had wanted her to see it. There were scars littering his lips, ones that Eret knew weren't there back when-

"I'm not really sure I would consider us 'old friends.'" She spoke, and there was a waver there that they both heard.

"Well," Dream swung his legs lazily, but she knew by the white knuckles he was only pretending to be relaxed. "I suppose it's a good thing I wasn't talking about you."

Eret flinched. Dream's grin was crooked, unsympathetic.

"If you're not here for me, you can leave then." She growled. It hid the way her heart began to twist itself in knots, guilt smothering justifications smothering guilt.

"But I have business here." Dream waved at her dismissively, pushing himself off the roof of the cell to land on the floor. He swayed unnaturally for a moment, and she gripped her arm to stop herself from reaching out to steady him.

He walked inside the cell, brushing his hands across the walls. "I have to give corrections your cell replica. It's supposed to be accurate, right? Showing the truth of our history."

Eret clenched her jaw. She wanted to snap at him. She wanted to run away. She wanted to have none of this conversation and what it all meant.

She looked at the way he waved his hands about, and wanted vividly, for a moment, to take them into her own, like how it used to be. She wanted his unscarred smile and full face on display, warm and loving and whole.

little headcanons for different dsmp characters and how they help you with your needs being Chronically Ill/A spoonie Characters: Ghostbur, Karl, Quackity, Eret, Sam, Foolish, Ranboo Most can be interpreted as platonic or romantic

A/n: I tried to make it general but of course mainly went off my own experience as a spoonie and I can’t cover anyone in the community as much as I wish I could. Might go in-depth with a Chronically Ill reader with one of the characters some other time if I get the inspo for it.

Ghostbur

-This guy would bring you so much blue

-Offers to let you cuddle friend if you’re having a bad day since he can’t hold you

-You can also have all of his big sweaters if you ask

Karl Jacobs

-All I can say is cuddles cuddles cuddles

-Flare up? cuddles, no spoons? cuddles

-Loves to take you traveling but if he knows you aren’t up for it he will force you to stay home

Quackity

-This man works a lot, but he always makes sure to check in on how you’re doing

-Flare up? I guess he can miss one day of work to take care of you

-If he cant miss work he would make sure you are stocked with anything you can think of, food, pain meds, heating pad etc.

Eret

-Will always check to make sure you drank water and took your meds

-If not he will watch and make sure you take them

-Will pamper you, he is the king after all

-But if you ever say its to much they will back off immediately, he doesn’t want you to think he is treating you any differently.

Awesamdude

-Brings you to the prison when you aren’t feeling well to care for you

-Never wants to leave your side in a flare up even if he has other duties

-Would make you any mobility aids you may need and would do research to make sure he make it perfectly

Foolish

-Probably doesn’t fully understand what you mean by chronically ill

-”What do you mean it doesn’t get better?”

-He means well I promise

-Will try to make you laugh whenever you aren’t feeling the best

Ranboo

-Will carry you anywhere

-Legs hurt? Lightheaded? forgot your mobility aid? He will carry you around as long as you need

-Always try to make sure you’re comfortable in every situation and will constantly check up on you even if you’re having a good day

And none of them would think lesser of you or care about you any less cause of something you can’t control. You are loved and valid!

Feelings on HTTYD 2

So I just finished watching httyd 2 with a friend and I thought it was great! Not as good as the first one but I enjoyed myself. I had some issues with the movie so let me summarize what I liked and did not like about it.

What I Liked

Hicctooth - Toothless and Hiccup continue to be amazing together. Such a great friendship bond and they were so cute! The moments where Toothless was fed up with Hiccup were gold.

Stoick - This man was such a badass in this movie! Great fight scenes and his rescue of Valka and sacrifice for Hiccup were so well done. His bromance with Gobber was A+ and I love how he has developed as a father. He seemed even more protective of Hiccup in this movie compared to the first movie. It was actually kind of sweet. Also, his romantic dance with Valka was such a joy to see. Seeing Hiccup happy to see his parents together made me so happy too.

The villain - Drago was pretty entertaining as a villain. I wouldn't call him the best but I thought his design was cool. I think he was a decent villain to challenge Hiccup's naivity.

Toothless and Stormfly - These two had such fun scenes together. I smiled whenever they interacted. So cute! I just really liked Stormfly in this movie, such a good girl. Her bond with Eret was cute.

Toothless and Cloudjumper - These two were so funny. Cloudjumper had annoyed big brother vibes going on lol.

Music - Once again, the music captivated me in this movie. I love the HTTYD movie end credits songs! It makes me feel nostalgic.

Character designs - Liked most of the character designs. Hiccup looked good of course and Snotlout surprisingly looked great too. I liked the greying beard on Stoick.

Eret - I felt so bad for poor Eret. I think he was an interesting addition to the cast.

Friendship of the teens - I liked the interactions among the 6 teens/young adults. I wish the whole love triangle thing was less cringe though.

What I Did Not Like or Felt Neutral About

Hiccstrid - I have seen from Hiccstrid shippers on Tumblr that the second movie is the basis for their love of the ship. And at the end of the movie, I was struggling to understand why? I liked the initial Hiccstrid cliff scene for the most part but the ship was basically irrelevant for the rest of the movie. If you take out Hiccstrid, nothing changes really. There was hardly anything interesting about this ship. Felt so generic. And honestly, this ship feels very one-sided. It's all about Hiccup but what about Astrid? What does she get from this relationship besides the clout of being a future chieftess? And Hiccup's tendency to rush off into danger?

Astrid - Not sure if I liked Astrid's design in this movie. But more importantly, I was disappointed by Astrid's character. My friend agreed with me that Astrid was just there. Her only purpose in this movie seemed to be to give Hiccup his mandatory pep talk and to anger Drago to prematurely attack. When Astrid kept yapping about Hiccup's greatness, I swear I was dying on the inside. Astrid was important in the first movie but httyd 2 solidified her status as a pretty love interest character. Her dragon Stormfly seemed to have more going on in this movie. Astrid was just meh. All she is now is just Hiccup's girlfriend.

Valka - Maybe if I watched the movie without knowing about Valka, maybe I would be more neutral about her. But I don't like her. She's a deadbeat mom. Her reasons for abandoning Hiccup were so flimsy. Stoick, for all his flaws, was learning to be a better dad and I am so sad that Stoick will not get to see Hiccup grow as a man. Valka does not deserve the privilege that's for sure. I must also say that she did a crap job at advocating for peace. Sure, argue for peace while your village is under attack! Makes SO much sense. What made her believe dragons were good anyway?? I wish Valka was the movie villain. Or at least an antagonist.

Toothless - For the most part, I enjoyed Toothless' interactions with Hiccup. But he seemed way too playful sometimes? I don't think he should have been so relaxed with Valka since she attacked them. I miss the Toothless who was aggressive with strangers. Also, I find it strange that Toothless did not know how to expand his spines. He's a wild animal and wild animals should have instincts about these things. Finally, as cool as that super saiyan rage mode was at the end, I still want to know where this power came from.

Ruffnut - I hate how Ruffnut looks. She was pretty in the first movie and she also looks pretty in the ROB show. I don't know why her older design has to look like this. She looked especially repulsive when she was hitting on Eret. I kept asking myself why the scriptwriters did this? Why make her look so gross??

Hiccup's inner conflict - I thought the introduction of Hiccup's mom felt way too forced. The whole spiel about not knowing who he is because he does not know his mom made me so confused. In the first movie, Hiccup hardly cared about Valka. There was not even a throwaway line like 'No one in Berk gets me...but maybe mom would if she were here'. Why the sudden interest??? I also think Hiccup's struggle with his free spirit desire was poorly handled. Plus, I don't understand why Hiccup got the idea that his job was to be a peacekeeper?? Peacekeeper for who?? We don't even meet other tribes! I am sure this attitude is addressed in the shows but it makes little sense to me. How do you go from making peace with dragons to being a peacekeeper of the archipelago? And what leadership did Hiccup showcase to Valka for him to deserve the 'heart of a chief' line??

These are my main takeaways! Despite the shortcomings, I did like the movie. Sigh, now it's time for Hidden World.

Words that unveil the false martyr's marmoreal, simple words that undo his pose, making his masquers dissipate and his altar become just a lonely precipice. They take off his metaphorical cape and leave him naked of anything besides what he is; a person wrapped with just a human skin, begging to be touched tenderly.

Ben is no superhero like this, he's just a man. And Soldier Boy is no soldier like this, he's just a boy.

Therefore, you dare you come closer, to let your rationality in your pocket and touch him gently. Show him that's hands do not only bring violence.

“I missed you so much.”

Answer comes with a muffled noise, your back hitting the wall as a groan leaves your lips. Of course, he just knew how to answer love with brutality. He always fucked like he fought.

Soldier Boy's body is pressed against yours, his hands pinning your arms up your head. He wanted to make you feel surrounded on all sides, like a dear in hunting season. How could he act like this before years a part?! That's now how you fantasied this moment, where is all your sweet heart-lighted moments that delusion sold you?

His eyes emerald eyes hide the most wondrous forests, all that ferociousness and beauty of nature. There are no tears, not a glimpse of a sadness, even though you know that was his company for longer than you or any teammate.

His breathing isn't steady, despite his best efforts to look like he's in control. You can feel his erratic breathing like a new tattoo on your neck, and you bet his heart is racing even quicker.

His mouth darts open, and you close your eyes to enjoy his velvet voice as he speaks: “You betrayed me.”

“What?!” your fury builds up like a forest fire. How dare he to accuse you of that after so much suffering, after crying so many tears you could drown everyone in town with your woe? “Are you fucking crazy?”

He pushed you further against the wall. “You sold me to the Russians, you b—”

You didn't miss a second before placing your leg between his, purposely pressing against his crotch as a silent threat. No matter which time, Ben was always frightening to get his little friend hurt, a fucking slut. This always guarantee you advantage when the argument got heated.

“Open your stupid mouth one more time and call me that, I dare you.” you advised him, feeling his cock got semi-eretic. “Awe, little soldier still gets worked up when a girl tells him to get his head out of his ass, you fucking asshole?”

“Shut the fuck up. you know what I'm talking about!” He punched the spot near your head. You didn't blink, you didn't give him the satisfaction. His fist was closed as he glanced into yours eyes. “I loved you, and you sold me to the reds.”

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST SAY?” good ol' jealous always kept Soldier Boy on the line. All he ever craved was to thrive as #1 and make a home there. He wanted to be adored, and was terrified of people just deciding not to. Others needed food like he needed attention at all time. “You're mine, Y/N. Don't you joke about that.”

His jaw clenched as you observe him like a caveman does to the stars: marveled, scared, crazy for more. You missed him so much, even his untamed brutality dissipating into passion. It hurt so good when he was like this... You couldn't wait to maim him back.

You wouldn't just sit back and let him do whatever he wanted to you. You would strike back, always. You were trapped in that vicious circle, but you weren't gonna run alone in that hamster's wheel. You both would be the end of each other, simply because every action demanded a reaction. He could attack you all he wanted, but you would come at him back.

Soldier Boy taught you that people always forget how you loved them, but never how you hurt them. That's why you should always hit before you kiss.

“I don't know about that, Ben.” you licked your lips, watching how his eyes followed you. “You haven't fucked me in so long. I don't feel like yours anymore.”

He was quiet, although you could notice his body slightly shaking with all those emotions he was so used to translate to violence, like most boys. You knew Ben wouldn't have ears to the mere truth, so you had to be creative to get him to listen to you.

Problematic. Dangerous. Hurtful. Fun. Crazy. That was your cruel savior, and how being with him felt like.

“I don't fuck traitors.” he howled.

“Do I look Russian to you?” you growled back, moving your knee just enough to stroke his hardness slightly. Soldier Boy shut his eyes, leaning into your touch. “Not to mention that no one is a fuck as good as yours, why would I want to leave that?”

“A good fuck, huh?” he wasn't one to demonstrate a lot, but you knew what his questions endorsed. His remained with his eyes closed, as if he was scared to see your face when you answered.

It was good to know you could make him scared as much as he could to you.

“The best fuck,” you weren't giving in so easily. He started to move his hips, attempting to synchronize with your moves. Soldier Boy was dry humping your leg, thinking about how good it would feel to be inside you again. The best pussy he had ever had... Fuck, he could bet you were wet as a slut for him. His hands relaxes, no longer a fist: just open, like a man who begs to be given something. Which he was, in more ways than others. Soldier Boy puts his hand plastic on your cheek, stroking you so tenderly, almost like a dream. You can't help the lonely tear that paints your face— was it for the gentleness of the scene or all those by tears you were holding back since he showed up at your door like a madman? There's no right answer, both are blue and both hurt before the relief.

Ben tucks his head into your neck, smelling your fragrance as a soldier who clings back home after a war. And your heart breaks, always breaks when he's in the equation. Either because or for him.

“i waited for you all everyday to save me,” he punches the wall against in frustration, but doesn't pull away, his hops don't stop moving. He was always better talking about emotions this way. “They never came. You never came... I could understand them, but you? You were thenlove of my life, you were my war.”

“I still am, Soldier Boy,” you take his hand, sliding it on your skin, following a path that you know he's hungry for. His hand slides into your panties, and he places a kiss on your neck. “See how wet I am for you? I could never betray you.”

He scoffs, “You always get horny when you're scared, Y/N. That's why we always fucked after...”

“I didn't know you were alive.” You put it into words, because you knew he wouldn't stop his neuroses before you did. Two sneaky fingers slide inside you as his thumb presses to your clit and you want to scream, even though he's just starting. Love reads better on the headlines, just like Starlander, which was still on the television just a couple steps away.

So yes, he was right about loving monster and becoming a little too much as them. Still, you also turn them like you. When you love a monster, you keep a little of monster inside your chest. Yet, when a monster loves you... When you love a monster like this, you can make him a little human too. Or so you like to believe.

random httyd headcanons

eret snorts when he laughs really hard

everyone has a crush on him at some point or another & fights for his attention (in their own ways)

eret also has a HUGE soft spot for tidal class dragons. HUGE.

when snotlout is geuninely furious, like, fucking pissed, he's weirdly quiet in a way that makes everyone uncomfortable (& a little scared)

out of the gang, def the best singer (when he actually puts effort into it, but he's usually tipsy or alone for that)

fishlegs will shuffle his deck of dragon cards as a form of stimming/self soothing

excellent at shuffling cards btw. whenever anyone in the gang plays a card game/gambles, they make him shuffle the cards. yes even when he's not involved in the game at all. (it's hot & mesmerizing)

tuffnut has itemized lists in his head of what each of his friends like and dislike & will randomly inflict the information he knows upon them & always takes them by surprise

bc of this he's actually a very good gift giver, ties into ruffnut being an excellent shopper. he figured out what to get, she's able to find it.

ruffnut actually does love shopping whilst being excellent at it & dragging astrid out to do it is smth she also loves

gets astrid into it too, bc ruff actually finds the coolest shit. even has a collection of old, small knives from around the world. she always has an elaborate story abt it (either true or made up by her but no one can truly tell)

astrid has slivers consistently in her hands from the wooden handle of her axe & the amt of times she's had to pull it from tree, targets, etc. she never notices & they don't bother her

one day eret asked her if she knew dragon eggs exploded when they hatched & she thought abt fist fighting odin, thor, & then eret before saying yes through gritted teeth

hiccup can spin his pencils in his hand between his fingers & has accidentally had them launch & hit ppl in the face

toothless thinks it's a game & will shoot the pencil out of the air & destroy it (hiccup has to make a lot of new charcoal pencils)

hiccup taught fishlegs & astrid how to draw

welp, i got my last deaths predictions very very wrong last time. let's try again, 2 days before the finale this time.

survival predictions

p!apo, p!el, and p!jojo were my survival predictions last time and my money is still on them. p!water joins their ranks because i've decided (admittedly after pulling an all-nighter) that she deserves a chance to find happiness after being widowed at her own wedding. and also after the slumber party last night. that went terribly.

new category for Survival for Narrative Purposes. i hope p!scott decks his parents. physically, verbally, i don't care. i Need him to go feral. especially what happened after the most recent lore. anyways i hope everyone else finds out about how p!will went down and p!shep gets hit with karma. i as the skies (will's chat) curse him to be followed by bad weather wherever he goes.

either/or predictions

50/50 deaths are the same as last time, except i formally added p!shelby this time because i heard somewhere along the grapevine she's gonna be there for the finale.

p!graecie stands as pending (and it would be funny if p!apo were HER successor if she goes down). p!martyn is moved upwards because his villain arc is over and we got the loot shard, now can he get the heck outta there.

p!owen skipped town as i said, and p!eret finished xyr base earlier today and has formally logged out without much fanfare or lore, so i'm taking this as xem either sleeping through the finale, which is as good as skipping town in my book, or actually leaving.

death predictions

death predictions same as last time, except with removals. with the brothers lore out of the way and going in the opposite way i expected (though i didn't discount this possibility in my theories and pending playlists), i don't have anything else to say in a 99% guarantee.

there IS no guarantee, not after the fandom's collective failure prediction on which brother's gonna go out. (then again, it does narratively make sense either way, so i'm not complaining. also, sweet angst that i get to dump on my irl friends about who are also older siblings.)

the ending is not going to be happy. it can't Be happy, not with a good chunk of the recurring cast dead and more names on the chopping block. the best i can hope is that it's bittersweet and not outsiders-level dark, but i may be wrong on that too.

A Christmas Special: What spending Christmas w/ the DSMP is like

Dream Team: A Traditional Christmas

It's always fun to do anything with these three, but Christmas w/ them definitely feels more special and fun

Sapnap ans George are the ones who wake you up first thing in the morning, cause it's Christmas lol, while you and Dream try to get some more sleep in

They go to Dream first, so they can annoy him to no end, then they decide to gang up on you

Screaming, tickling, pillows thrown at you, anything you can imagine them doing to wake you up lmao

After waking up, and openings presents you brought eachother, you all decide to start cooking for lunch

George and Sapnap are in charge of the appetizers and desert

You and Dream get the rest, because Dream doesn't trust George or Sapnap with cooking

Even while eating you three will keep on a very good conversation, filled with laughs and jokes

One of you probably ends up spitting some food out from laughing, definetly not pointing fingers at a certain someone

Then the rest of the day is spent playing random games or watching movies, ending the night with a good 'ol cuddle pile on the couch

Skephalo: A Virtual Christmas

Since these two absolutely refuse to meet up, more like Bad refuses to take an airplane while you and Skeppy have been begging him for years now, you decide to have a virtual Christmas on discord

You three spent the whole day on discord togheter doing what you usually would do on Christmas day

Beforehand you brought and sent eachother gifts, so you'd take the time to open them on call

Skeppy's gifts sometimes being trolls or things about himself

Like I imagine Skeppy gifting you and Bad plushies with his face on them, so "I can always be with you" he says

You play Minecraft, without filming for once, among other multiplayer games

You played Mario Kart, bad idea, cause Bad kept on losing and got salty

Online Uno was the next, but Skeppy kept on giving Bad "+2's" and +4's"

Golf with Friends was another one you played, but you kept on pushing the other two off track yet somehow still winning

But, no matter how much you bickered over these stupid games, you three had one of the most fun Christmases ever

Karlity & Himbros: A Snowy Christmas

Quackity came to visit America for a while, so you and the other four decided to just spend Christmas togheter

I imagine the day of Christmas being a very snowy day, so much that you 5 decided to go out and "play" a little

Karl and Foolish kept on putting snow in the other three's coats, which would just end up with a chasing game

Punz and you randomly decided to make a snow fort and start a snowball battle against the other three

You two obviously won

Then you made a snow man and named him Antonio Banderas, you even gave him a little goatee and all

After tiring yourself out, you proceeded to go inside and make hot choco for everyone

In the end you all attached yourself to Foolish, cause man's jacked and therefore has more body heat

SBI: A Memorable Christmas

You five met up the day after Christmas actually, wanting to spend the actual day with your family and/or loved one(s)

So you brought whatever food you could from the previous day and all met up at Phil's house

Most of the day was spent talking, playing and getting annoyed by Tommy and his loud nature

Tristin had, so kindly, brought all of you sweaters with your name initial in the front and "SBI" written on the back

You all took many pictures and took little funny videos like you were modeling new merch

All of you, including Tristin, also took family style Christmas pictures that you all got framed to remember this amazing day

Tommy and you also took advantage of the situation to film some tik toks with the other three

You tried your best to get Techno to do one dance, he mostly refused, until you somehow managed to make him do one

Wilbur, on the other hand, was happy to do a silly little dance with you even if it wasn't perfect

At one point you decided to make ginger bread cookies, and try to create eachother

Which didn't end well because Wilbur and Tommy started throwing icing around and it turned into a food fight

Phil and Tristin just watched from the side as you and Tommy were mixing flower into Wilbur and Techno's hair
