i think it's so crazy how much the dream smp changed everyone's lives. i mean, i, for one, only joined april 2021 which is when a lot of the main lore started dying down, but i can still look back on it and feel nostalgic. almost two whole years of my life revolved around the lore, the characters, trying to run around at 4am catching streams of them either just building or starting wars with each other (clearly there's no in between) and i can truly say it's one of the best arcs of my life.
watching a bunch of the members get together for the last time to kill the dragon so dream could shut down the server was the most bittersweet feeling i had ever felt. moving from tubbo to tommy to sam to bad and lastly to eret. hearing all their separate goodbyes, with tommy and tubbo watching the sunset while listening to the discs, sam in spectator mode with everyone just flying around looking at all the builds (my favourite part was them discovering old builds probably from 2020/2021 and getting excited about seeing them again after such a long time), bad doing the same and just talking about memories, and eret refusing to log off (even after four hours) ((i'm not gunna lie i was waiting for him to log off so i can safely say that dream was the last to leave the server but he took SO long - i know they were only trying to prolong the stream bc they didn't wanna leave which i understand)) and giving one last full tour of the museum. everyone had the most chaotic reactions to it that it truly ended in the most dream smp fashion.
no matter what ANYONE says, the dream smp lore went fucking hard.
also knowing that dream was the very last person to log off will forever keep the tears in my eyes.
i have so much more to say and i'll probably keep adding to this thread (for my sanity) but for now all i can do is say thank you to the server than genuinely brought happiness to me and everyone else.
thank you dream smp. you will always hold a very special place in my heart. nothing will ever compare to you. you changed the game forever.
so thank you to dream, george, and sapnap for creating this server. special mention to karl and quackity, ofcourse. callahan, punz, bad, tommy, tubbo, sam, ant, and basically every single member of the dream smp. you really went on this silly little minecraft server and changed everyone's lives. for the better.
april 24, 2020 - april 10, 2023
EVERYONE SAY THANK YOU DSMP!

Angway when I made that post I was crying over the idea of Wilbur taking yogurt and granola to Eret’s museum nd sometimes I still think abt it. They are soooo fucking bored esp granola cause she’s like 3 and upset she’s not with her parents. But when yogurt sees the map area he becomes sooo enchanted. Gets paper from the flag area and sits himself down in front of the map. Redrawing it over and over and over. Wilbur gets to take one of yogurts copies back with him when he leaves. The rest get put on a GIANT cardboard piece that yogurt keeps for years and years

o3o May I request c!Tommy x protective!reader who uses she/they pronouns? (Platonic, please!)
Reader arrives at the same time as Eryn and finds out how badly Tommy has been treated for the past few years, decides that she's going to make sure he doesn't have to go through that again. - 🍜
My first C!Tommy writing! You'll have to tell me if it's horrible and if I should give up on writing C!Tommy :D I did some digging on the timeline and Eryn joined before Dream's escape, so keep that in mind.
Pairing: C!Tommy x She/They!Reader (platonic)
Just a Kid
Tumblr media
Most people told you to leave Tommy alone.
You had seen him around a few times, building random towers and collecting materials. He never seemed very happy about whatever he was doing though.
Before joining, you had only heard rumors about everyone. Technoblade, the ruthless warrior. Philza, the man who survived hardcore and earned wings. Tommyinnit, the kid who was so full of energy that it was infectious. If those rumors were true, then Tommy had changed. Gone was a kid full of energy, replaced by an empty shell of a person.
In a way, it was scarier than anything you've ever seen. What makes a person look like that? He would check over his shoulder, a white-knuckled grip on his sword. Always gripping a sword. His clothes were constantly dirty, and his eyes were practically gray. Under his eyes were eyebags that were miles deep, a dark purple against his pale skin tone.
"What happened to Tommy?" You decide to ask Ranboo. Although Ranboo didn't seem to remember much, he was always willing to help.
"Tommy? He's... he's changed. I think. There was this stuff with Dream? Sorry, I- you might want to ask someone else."
Dream. That was a name you knew hardly anything about. The very owner of the server, missing from it. Someone had told you that he was in prison, but that didn't make sense. How did the owner of the server end up in jail?
Eret was the next person you ask. He seemed pretty levelheaded, so he had to have some answers.
"What happened before I joined? With Tommy and Dream and all that?"
He pauses in his building to turn his head towards you. His glasses are too dark for you to see past, but you assume he's looking at you.
"It's a long story. Tommy and Wilbur tried to create a nation called L'manberg and Dream didn't like that. There was a war. Tommy ended up losing in a duel, losing the war. But Dream still gave L'manberg their freedom. There was an election, Wilbur and Tommy lost which turned L'manberg into Manberg. There was another war."
"A lot of war." You huff.
Eret smiles. "There is. Tommy lost a cow and started a war somewhere in there I think. But he didn't lose the war against Manberg. Instead, Tubbo became president. Tommy got exiled. Nobody really knows what happened to him, but he came back... different. Changed."
"Nobody?" You push. That didn't seem right.
"Nobody apart from Dream and Ghostbur. But Ghostbur is long dead, and Dream's in prison. Anyways, there was a war in which L'manberg was destroyed. Completely. They tried to rebuild it a little. Wilbur died and got revived, it's... it's a long story. Complicated. But Tommy died too and got revived after getting stuck in the prison."
"Holy shit." You wouldn't want to get stuck in that prison. Just looking at it was scary enough.
"Kid's been through a lot. Lost a lot. Seen a lot. We all have."
"Like him?"
Eret's look turns more thoughtful. "Not like him. Not as much as he has."
Right then. It was decided. Nobody was going to hurt Tommy ever again. Grief and loss were something you were familiar with, but he was just a kid. A kid with a haunted look in his eyes, an exile nobody knew anything about.
"Thank you."
"Of course. I'm making a history museum, after all." As you leave, you can hear him talking to himself. "She's digging up skeletons meant to be buried."
If skeletons were meant to be buried, then why were two revived people walking around on the server? You might not know much but messing with life and death sure couldn't be good. If you were here, you might as well try your best and bring some peace to the server.
So, you go against the advice given to you. You talk to Tommy.
“Hey! Tommy, right? What’re you doing?”
He doesn’t trust you, but he has no reason to. With a suspicious look he angles himself away from you but still responds. That’s something, right?
“Getting supplies.”
“I can help! What are we gathering?”
“I don’t need help.”
“I didn’t say you needed anyones help. I’m just offering.” Your grin never wavers. “Bored and willing to help out.”
“…wood.” He reluctantly answers. “To rebuild my house. Oak wood.”
“Great!” You grab out your netherite axe, only to spin it around and offer Tommy the handle. His axe was iron and you had a diamond one you could use. “Here, I’ll use my spare diamond one.”
His face twists, and you realize your mistake. The gift could be seen as pity. Sure, you might be becoming protective over Tommy but it wasn’t out of pity.
“It’ll be faster.” You add on.
He takes it slowly, but takes it nonetheless. Progress.
Your next move is to talk to Jack Manifold. The guy seemed a little odd but not too bad. No matter what your personal opinion of him was though, you had seen the billboard. The hotel. Big Manifold’s Hotel sign was very obviously painted over Big Innit’s Hotel.
“Speak of the devil! There they are!” Jack calls out to you, waving. He was talking with Niki, another member you need to talk to. Two bats with one arrow, right?
“Jack! Niki!” You exclaim. “Just the people I was looking for!”
“What can we help you with?” Jack asks, smiling. Unlike Eret his glasses were see-through.
“I was actually wondering about your hotel. It used to be Tommy’s, right?”
“Oh, yeah. But then he died so it went to me.” He shrugs, seeming unconcerned by it. There’s just one little flaw in his logic.
“But Tommy’s alive.”
“Listen, you joined at a really nice time. Tommy’s chilled out and it’s better this way. Just leave things be.” Niki suggests.
“He’s chilled out because he fucking died! He’s a kid!” You exclaim.
“You don’t get it, he terrorized the server! It’s better off this way. He deserved everything that happened to him.”
You stare at Niki, jaw dropped. She couldn’t be serious, could she?
“You’re- maybe I’m wrong here, but he’s been through multiple wars. He’s died. He’s seen his country blown apart. He was exiled. And he’s still a kid. You’re telling me he deserved all that?”
“He brought it upon himself.” Niki answers.
“Heh, maybe we should just calm down?” Jack suggests.
“I’m calm.” You break eye contact with Niki to look between the duo. “Honestly, the hotel is none of my business. I just wanted to warn you both to leave Tommy alone. You might be okay with what’s been going on, but I’m not. In my books you’re both just as bad as Dream.”
Rumors on the server often turned out to be correct, as you were quickly learning. But now they've been dealt with. You weren't going to let anything else happen to Tommy even if it took all three of your lives, you swear by it.
There was one last person you had to threaten, but he happened to be unreachable. The very man who perhaps hurt Tommy the most. Dream.
As it turns out, Pandora was pretty good at keeping people both in and out. No matter how many times you begged Sam, he never let you in. Always claiming it was a liability, especially after how Tommy got stuck in there, which led to a whole new conversation.
"How the fuck do you lock a child in with a monster? He died, didn't he?" You ask, already furious at Sam's constant denial of letting you visit Dream.
"It was an accident. He signed a waiver-" "HE DIED! Aren't you meant to protect people? Isn't that what being the Warden is all about?"
Sam's expression crumples, and you suddenly realize you might be yelling at the wrong person here. So far you seemed to be the only one actively helping Tommy, but that didn't mean he was alone. Maybe there were people still in his corner, people who just fucked up a little. (or, in this case, a lot)
"Threaten Dream for me, would you?" You ask, backing off. "I think we can both agree that we'd kill him if he ever hurt Tommy again."
"Yeah." Sam nods. "That I can do."
With a smile, you set off a friend richer.
Tommy did still have people out there who cared for him, he just didn't know it. Maybe one day he'd see that, but only after a shit ton of healing.
For now, all you could do was give him a safe place and get him in some goddamn therapy.

Dream SMP Recap (August 31/2022) - Knights of Hope
Aimsey, Eryn and Ponk do some catching-up after weeks of everyone living in isolation. With renewed hope, Aimsey and Eret hatch a plan to revive their dead friends.
---
VOD LINKS:
Aimsey
Eryn
Eret
---
[Archive of Previous Recaps]
---
- Aimsey reflects on his time on the server so far. He wishes he could have someone to talk to. It seems like everyone is gone. Eryn, meanwhile, listens to the disc “Mall” alone as he mines blocks underground
- There is one person who Aimsey has still become friends with...sort of. They tried to break into a mansion together, but in the end had a good talk
- Aimsey goes to the Community House and finds Eryn's underground area. Eryn, meanwhile, has been thoroughly defeated by a skeleton
- Aimsey finds Eryn in his dirt house. He has spent ten weeks mining, because what else is there to do?
- The two go back up to the surface and head to Daisy Hollow for a hot chocolate and some heart-to-heart talking. Eryn’s tried talking to people, but everyone’s always upset all the time and that itself is upsetting
- Aimsey and Eryn go on a walk. Aimsey asks if Eryn’s talked to Tommy recently. Eryn hasn’t. Tommy’s been talking to Wilbur
- Eryn shows Aimsey the place where he killed BadBoyHalo, who then adopted him. They try to play a game on the chess board, then Eryn tells Aimsey he heard voices near the crater
- He explains that he woke up after he’d passed out in the water at the bottom, and doesn’t remember what happened next. The two keep asking each other how they’ve been and deflecting every time
- Ponk logs on. They say hello
- Aimsey asks about the voices. Eryn hears people dying. At one place, he heard Bad speaking at some sort of party and then everyone screaming. Eryn would still do anything for Bad. They’ve had a little chat about it
- Aimsey asks if Eryn has ever lost anyone. Eryn asks Aimsey the same. Aimsey tells him about Guqqie
- Eryn kills a llama
- Ponk jumpscares them. Ponk is in bad shape after running into a yeti
- They ask what happened to Ponk’s arm. Ponk asks if they know Sam. Aimsey thinks Sam is nice, while Eryn thinks Sam is evil. Sam is what happened to Ponk’s arm
- The three break into Puffy’s duck to find a bed. Eryn plays them Mall. While Ponk is sleeping, Eryn wants to find Sam and kill him
- Eryn accidentally wakes Ponk up. If anyone is going to kill Sam, it’s going to be Ponk. Aimsey doesn’t want more murder, just wants to know what happened
- Word on the street is, they say, Sam killed Ranboo
- Aimsey wants to go talk to Sam and find out the story instead of seeking revenge. Ponk tells Aimsey that the history of the server is violence. You have to fight to survive, and Sam is a threat
- Ponk and Eryn are going to hunt Sam. Aimsey still doesn’t want to be involved. They tell Aimsey to be ready for danger, and Ponk says goodbye
- Eryn tells Aimsey he’s half demon. He used to have horns, but they got ripped off
- There’s something Aimsey wants to do. The two say their farewells and leave. Eret logs on
- Aimsey returns to Daisy Hollow and looks at his note to Guqqie. Aimsey misses Guqqie every day. But, Aimsey has begun to accept her loss
- Aimsey goes to speak with Eret at the museum. Eret explains what happened with Sam and Michael the piglin. Aimsey didn’t even know Ranboo had a son
- Eret and Aimsey talk about past mistakes and moving on. Aimsey then asks Eret about Dream. Eret is surprised that Aimsey doesn’t know who he is
- Eret tells Aimsey a bit about what happened to L’manburg, and how Dream was put in prison. She then tells Aimsey the story of Exile
Eret: “As long as he wants it...there is no too high of a cost.”
At the museum, Eret has a recreation of the prison cell as well as Tubbo’s detective book with the timeline of Tommy’s visit
- Eret takes Aimsey to Puffy’s canon life graveyard. Aimsey sees Ranboo’s and Wilbur’s memorials
- Aimsey learns of Wilbur’s revival. People don’t stay dead forever here... Aimsey glances over at Ranboo’s grave again. Eret doesn’t know why Dream would revive Wilbur
- Aimsey is excited by the idea that they can bring people back, but Eret reminds him that that power is in the hands of the worst person. Still, Aimsey wants to bring people back. They have hope
- Long ago, Eret used to have a group called the Knights of Eret, with HBomb and Puffy. She thinks they might be able to put together a similar group against Dream
- Aimsey leaves and Eret goes to speak with H, telling him about the “Knights of Hope” and their new goals
- If H joins the Knights, he is welcome to Eret’s resources and his previous space at the castle
- Foolish claims to know Eret from a previous life, he might be a possible recruit
- H agrees to Eret’s deal
- Later, Eret makes a list of all the people she wants to ask. Foolish, Puffy, Michael, Ponk, and possibly more

If eret did recreate the cell in the museum, that’s unintentionally so funny
Like imagine c!dream deciding to go check the museum out and there’s just an ikea display of the room you were tortured in? He also decides it’s cozy and chills there sometimes and claims it’s to make the exhibit more realistic
*c!Dream museum docent voice* “and on your left you’ll see a state-of-the-art replica of the site of my imprisonment and torture! Sadly the bloodstains are merely a recreation. Please note the documents displayed to your right: those are mint-condition originals of the waivers my torturer signed every day! He held that pen himself. Yes, very cool. The logbook is here too. We have a question? Ah, no, those are not the original tools used, I’m afraid, just guard equipment. It’s just to give a sense of ambiance! Now if you’ll all keep moving so that everyone in the back has a chance to see—yes, the lava keeps things delightfully warm, doesn’t it? Feel free to singe your fingertips a little bit—we’ve got water right here—if you want the immersive experience.”

It has been literal months but the Hall of Gods is finally finished! My take on the old gods of the SMP~
The statues from left to right:
Mumza “Lady Death”, Foolish “The Undying”, Eret “The Betrayer”, Technoblade “The Blood God”, and XD “The Admin”
Background no one really cares about but I've thought way too much about:
So the basic idea is that Foolish made the statues-- Literally every design is recognisable, even without colour, from behind because either they haven't changed in millennia (XD and Mumza) or Foolish knew what they looked like from more recent memory, (Technoblade and himself).
Eret's statue is the most unrecognizable and also the most "godly". This is because not only had Foolish not seen her in ages after she disappeared, but he also put them on a sort of mental pedestal in their absence. The statues were not only a side project to keep Foolish occupied in his solitude but also a way to memorialize his dearest friend who had, from his point off view, vanished without a trace.
When the statues were done (or nearly so as he never finished crafting his own likeness) , he did what he does with all his projects, he abandoned them to move on to the next and they were left behind only for Eret to later collect them and bring them back to her museum as a relic of times long past.
Eret might not have aged since they've seen each other but he changed his entire being multiple times since their memory loss. She's been a soldier, a king, a rebel, and a museum curator all without knowing where she came from or even that they are a god and all those changes manifest in human ways: hair, clothes, accessories, even the way in which one stands.
Without their memory, no one could blame Eret for not recognizing themselves when depicted with such confidence and divinity, free from the duty of running a kingdom of the guilt of betraying her friends. It would take days, if not months, of passing the statues where they now stand in the guilded hall for the curator to even begin to make the connection and even then, they couldn't be completely sure until Foolish, the sculptor himself, confirmed their suspicions; which is a double edged sword in and of itself seeing as she still isn't sure that the Undying God is correctly remembering who they are in the first place..

Hi!! So I finished my Spider-Sona design and I'll post that after this post (hopefully haha). In the meantime, I want to add some extra info about the discduo Spider-Man worlds before we get on how the both of them meet. ANYWAYS ONTO THE RAMBLE!!
Spider!Tommy's Universe:
*Dream was working as a barista on a cafeteria near their appartment. He also worked as a coder on weekends in which he worked from home.
*Tommy never told Tubbo and Ranboo his secret, and after the incident, he was set on never doing it (to protect his friends).
*Tubbo loves working with technology and it's a nerd about science, primarily influenced by his father's work, Schlatt (who is also the Green Goblin, but Tubbo doesn't know it), that's why when he graduates from his engineering career, he wants to work at his father's laboratories.
*Ranboo is studying fashion design, they like to make outfits and design different concepts. They dream of making outfits in the big leagues.
*Ponk is the Lizard, Eret is Doc Oc, Skeppy is Sandman, Callahan is Mysterio (Callahn supremacy!!) and Foolish is Electro in this universe.
*Sapnap and George never knew the truth about how their best friend died (they knew each other since high-school and worked at the same cafe), they think Dream died by a car accident, and they always tried to check how Tommy was griefing whenever they could (Tommy appreciated their efforts, but he also felt guilty for not being able to tell them the truth)
*Dream used to sing a lullaby for Tommy to try to calm him down whenever he was feeling stressed when he was small, and in some occasions in his current age. Tommy sings that lullaby every night to try to sleep at night (it works very little, it's not the same as when his brother did it)
*Tommy uses Dream's hoodie when he's alone at home, and even sleeps in his brother's bedroom sometimes.
Spider!Dream's Universe:
*BadboyHalo is Doc Oc, Sam is the Lizard, Mysterio is Hannah, Philza is the Green Goblin, The Egg is Carnage.
*Sapnap doesn't know about Dream's secret, and he intends to keep it that way.
*Even knowing that Dream has George that knows his secret and can trust him, he feels as if he will never found someone who can understand how he feels about his powers, his actions, everything about carrying this bless and curse. He feels alone
*This Dream used the same lullaby as the Dream from Spider!Tommy to calm down Tommy whenever he was scared in the orphanage, and also whenever he felt stressed in his current age. He sings the lullaby every night, as if his brother was still there to hear it, to know he'll be always be safe in his brother's arms, to make him fall asleep (But it isn't the same, because there's no one to hear it)
*The Tubbo and Ranboo from this universe never knew how Tommy truly died (Tubbo met Tommy in their first years of school, and Ranboo met him when they entered high school), they just know he suffered a car accident. They send some gifts to Dream and visit him sometimes to help him with his grief (Dream feels like a monster for not telling the best friend's of his brother the truth, he feels like a killer)
*Dream checks photos and videos of him and his brother while he's at home in every chance he has: when they were at restaurants, parks, museums, or even just at home doing an attempt to make cookies, watching a movie or playing a board game. He also sleeps in his brother's room in occasions to feel his presence.
AND THAT'S ALL I COULD THINK RN HAHA. Like I said, I come up with all of this ideas as I write them, which is literally this instant lol. If you have any opinions about other similarities or differences between their universes let me know!! I would also love your opinions about the villains hehe. Anyways have a lovely morning/evening/night!!

hiiii! cld you do a yan!wilbur with (gn) reader who constantly wants to go places nd hates being in the same place for too long? /nf
have a good day/night!! :]
Hiya! Yeah I'd love to thanks for requesting!!
Warnings: Yandere behavior, stalking, gore and blood mention
<><><><><><><><><>
Over the years you'd inherited the title of The Nomad. You didn't stay in one place for long and if you did it was out of necessity. You were a traveler. An explorer of the land. Someone who didn't stick around, free of commitment.
"Thanks again for gathering this stuff for the museum." Eret smiled faintly and you returned it.
"Yeah of course. Just tell me when it opens and I'll stop by." You finished off the exchange and took your payment of diamonds off to another adventure. It was refreshing. The constant moving around.
When the whole world actually began you did have roots. Roots in the forests outside of the Greater Dream SMP...and L'manberg. Key word: had. Past tense.
Your cabin didn't exist anymore. After the L'manberg war started it got destroyed in the aftermath. That was when you had first shone your face to the world. When you got recognized.
Needless to say you didn't stick around. L'manberg was unstable and the men running it unhinged according to rumors. You had seen one of the men before. A tall brunette named Wilbur dressed in a General's suit. He held his head high and stared down the tyrant that was Dream.
You didn't pick a side but if you had to have you might've chosen Wilbur's despite the ruthlessness of Dream. Everyone knew Dream would do anything for power so when the second war came around of Manberg v.s. Pogtopia you vacated. Schlatt was stupid and Wilbur had gone off the rails completely.
"Whoa there!" You ran into something stiff and you stumbled back gaining your balance again.
"Sorry about that!" You rushed out and looked up at the one you'd accidentally ran into.
"Not a problem. You're The Nomad correct?" Before you stood Wilbur Soot, or Revivbur as everyone called him now. You'd been off adventuring the decade and a half that whole debacle went down just occasionally visiting back for deals on priceless goods you'd found on your ways.
"Revivbur." You nodded and gestured to him with a small smile. "Uhm, pleasure to meet you." You outstretched your hand and Revivbur's face flushed a shade of pink before he took your hand and bowed to kiss it.
"Wilbur please, and the pleasure is all mine. Can't say we've properly met." Revivbur straightened his spine to his full height, gently removing his hand from yours leaving a cold path behind it. He towered over you and a mischievous smile cut his face.
"No I guess we haven't. I'm Y/N." You said and swallowed as the light flashed over the reddish hues of Wilbur's eyes.
"Right of course." Wilbur chuckled and lowered his head. "Say, I know you're a busy person but might you want to have dinner with me tonight?" Wilbur smiled and it felt like the whole world could fall at his word. The honey smooth sound of his voice penetrated the stone walls you'd built around your heart to keep from it settling down more roots.
"Tonight?" You stammered and watched as his face lit up as your face flushed. "Erm, well I-I guess that would be okay. I've got to get on the road soon but an evening back can't hurt." You broke a smile at Wilbur being met with a charm that made your knees weak.
"Perfect, I'll come find you around dusk. 'Kay?" Wilbur winked and you nodded in agreement. "Don't go too far."
~~
And with that you somehow had a date. Somehow a single man, a man who had been the source of your home's destruction, had broken down your walls and gotten you to come eat dinner with him.
"I think I met your son today Phil." Your brow furrowed and you looked out the window of Philza's home at the snowy lands surrounding. By foot it was a several day travel to Philza and Technoblade's home in the north, by horse just hardly two, but by rail it was maybe an hour. Long ago you'd made an underground rail system to take you to the places which you frequently visited.
There was one at the Greater Dream SMP of course, one into your personal mines, and one here.
"Did you? What'd you think of Wil?" Philza sounded happy and he examined the shield set on his arm with an oily rag.
"Charming." You said simply and Philza laughed.
"Sounds about right. I'd be careful though, he used that charm to fool a lot of people back in the day." Phil warned.
"Jesus man, no wonder people call you old. Who the Hell says 'back in the day?'" You teased and Phil threw the rag at you. Someone caught it before any impact hit.
"You think I'm charming?" Wilbur Soot smirked at you deviously and heat flooded your face despite the cold chill that was everywhere, inside or out in the snowy base.
"Wil, what're you doin here?" Philza asked, his smile faltering just a little but perking up as soon as you seem to have spotted it.
"I've come to pick Y/N up for our date." Wilbur said matter of factly and ran the rag over his fingers tauntly like a bind. His fingers wove around the fabric expertly and a knot as tied somehow without you seeming to notice the exact origin.
"Date? You didn't say he asked you out on your first meeting." Philza's eyes shone with concern but the smile hid the foreboding look.
"Well I would've had he not shown up so quickly. I didn't even realize it was getting around dusk, sorry you had to come all this way to find me." You apologized and Wilbur offered his arm, tossing the rag back to Philza.
"Don't worry about it darling, I'll always know where you are." Wilbur's smirk widened and his pupils dilated. The words sent chills down you back but not necessarily bad ones. Something about someone caring enough to know where you were felt...good.
~~
Dinner was fantastic and you left on a travel for a few weeks promising to come back in time for another date Wilbur had planned. This was how your relationship went, he always sent a letter with you containing a poem or simply a declaration of admiration for you to read whenever you felt lonely or missed him. Wilbur was very confident you did and he was correct.
One might've called his devotion so early on creepy or uncalled for but after doing your share of research you could empathize with him. Thirteen and A half years alone in his own specially crafted limbo Hell. You shuddered now atop your horse just think about it. You were on your way back from a four week excavation for Eret's museum again. Much longer than you'd been gone from Wilbur before.
Deep down you worried he might've moved on.
"Darling you're finally back!" Wilbur greeted you almost as soon as you entered the territory of the main sector of the Greater Dream SMP.
"I had to come back sometime." You smiled and dismounted the charcoal mare you rode. Wilbur embraced you with a long and loving kiss tight to your lips. Something was off. You pulled away and sniffed.
"Wil what's that smell?" You cocked an eyebrow at him and pulled his sweater to your nose, taking in a deep breath. "Cinnamon? Wilbur you smell like cinnamon and vanilla." You stepped back a little, your fears clawing at your throat.
"Ah yeah! Its not what you think I swear! I've been making some potions lately and believe me they reeked so I tried to recreate your scent though I think I applied too much before I came here." Wilbur smiled and clutched your wrist tightly before you could jerk away. Your heart calmed as the smooth syllables of his words ran over your heart. He caressed you gently on your cheek.
"I would never cheat on you darling, but I do get so so lonely. You can't blame me for wanting something of you." Wilbur hugged you and his words tickled your ear causing a blush to rise in your face. Wilbur was not your first partner. Over your adventures you had courted many but none of them had lasted over the course of your longer journeys. All of them left eventually.
"I don't Wil, I just..." You pulled away to look at his face. His beautiful beautiful face. "I just haven't ever had someone care so much to stick around this long."
"Well all those people are fools." Wilbur growled a little and your eyebrows perked. "C'mon, lets go back to mine. I've got a surprise for you!" Wilbur smiled and took the reigns of your horse to lead you away.
~~
"Darling, can I ask you why you travel so much?" Wilbur said on the way.
"It's mostly just because I can't stand being in place. Probably some underlying trauma I've repressed into being a crutch of social anxiety or something." You joked and let out a chuckle. Wilbur only allowed a faint smile.
"Have you ever thought of staying?" Wilbur looked over at you but kept walking on. "In one place I mean. Putting down roots perhaps?" He pressed. Your chest tightened as the memory of L'manberg's first founding. The chaos it had wrecked on your home in the woods. His chaos.
"I did once..have roots I mean." You cracked a half-hearted smile and let your face close off.
"What happened?" Wilbur dared asked and stopped, you following suit.
'You' You wanted to say. The pain of watching your home burn in the revolution became fresh and for a split second it felt like the world was clear again and you realized just who exactly you were dating right now.
"Nothing. It just....didn't work out for me in the end." You shook your head and pushed away a comforting hand. The air shifted to something dangerous and tense as Wilbur led you on.
"Do you have any preferences for dinner?" He asked and tied up your horse to a fence post. You shook your head.
"Something warm I guess." You smiled and went inside the makeshift house. Wilbur wasn't the best builder that's for sure. His house was cluttered and half put together as if in a rush. Chests were disorganized and there was a crafting bench every few steps. It smelled of old cigarettes and burnt vanilla candles.
You settled down onto his couch and reached for a book that sat on the table beside the furniture. You saw the first few lines and knew immediately you shouted reading it.
Journal Entry 2,145: Eret's Journey
Today was hot. And I mean hot. I'm not sure why they decide to go through a desert every time they go out but I almost had to leave my coat behind just to keep following them.
I saw them stop and let their horse get a drink from the oasis. It looked like some trading went on,nothing unusual, and then they smiled. Not the smile like they got a good deal but the smile I give them. The smile that I ONLY get to give them.
I wouldn't hurt my little star but I can't trust the rest of the world. They're perfect. They're everything wonderful and I've only known people to want to destroy that. It's a struggle to allow Eret near them after everything they've done to us, to me, but a complete stranger?! I don't know their name but they're certainly chatting up my little star.
Even from behind the building I could see the blush on the villager's face. They weren't horribly looking and most Desert civilizations didn't have the normal long nosed and warting faces the plains did. And that made it all worse. The fact that there was a chance they could steal Little Star from me.
You stopped and looked up from the page. It was a struggle to not run away crying. You flipped to the last known entry to see how long ago 2,145 was.
Journal Entry: 2,227
82 days...you'd been with Wilbur almost three months and as you did the math in your head using the times you'd been gone with the days you'd been back it was equivalent to 83. You looked towards the end of the journal entry 2,145 and went still.
The villager struggled that's for sure. Definitely did not like having their hands cut off. This way they can't touch Little Star. I left them out in the desert hoping a little they would bleed out or some bird or wild animal would get to them. Little Star is mine and they will be forever. No puny trades person is going to hurt them or take them away from me.
"Y/N? Whatcha got there?" Wilbur's voice cracked your senses open and you turned around quickly. You remembered the villager from that journey. They'd been so nice and friendly, even offering a place to stay for a while. Sure romantic interest was always a possibility but no moves had been made and you weren't interested in a relationship was the last thing you said to them. They'd been missing when you came back and a patch of sand had been dried with blood and scraps of cloth was outside of town where you came in. You had assumed a llama had been separated and cornered by some coyotes or the buzzards got them.
"N-Nothing. Listen I know its soon but I've gotta run. I forgot to pick up some frog lights for Eret. I'll be gone a while and-" You started to gather up yourself and head for the door. Wilbur's eyes darted to the couch and spotted the open journal. His eyesight, although not the best, could see by the intensity of the writing you had found one of his special entries.
"Little Star, why are you trying to get away from me? Am I not good enough for you?" Wilbur grabbed your arm and stopped you. By the way you struggled he could tell you were scared. Terrified. "I would never hurt you. I love you Little Star. Please, let me love you."
"Wilbur please let me go!" You protested and pulled again at your arm. His grip tightened and his other arm whirled up to hold your chin to face him.
"Y/N. Please. I've only ever done it for you! Everything is for you. I can't be without you Little Star." Wilbur's eyes flared with a red glint that reminded you of blood. The blood in the sand. The blood of how many others that had gone missing from your journeys.
"You're a stalking monster!" You tried to move but Wilbur was too strong. His sly smile turned to one of hurt. The scar that ran down his face and left some of his right side a greenish decaying color twisted with his face into a look of despair... and rage.
"I am the best you'll ever have my dear. I'm the only one that's going to stick around for a nomad because I'm the only one willing to follow you!" Wilbur growled and pulled you closer to him. Your faces stood inches apart and his breath mingled with yours. For a second the moment was tender and soft. Someplace you might have kissed him deeply had it not been so terrifying to get here.
"I don't want anything to do with you Wilbur Soot." You whimpered. His grip loosened for a heartbeat and you took your chance. With all the force you had you hit him. The taller man stumbled back stunned and you ran, mounting your horse and practically ripping the lead off before darting away to the horizon.
~~
Wilbur held his face where you hit it. A smile spreading on his lips as blood seeped from his cut along the flesh. He watched you ride away. He watched you from his own mount, a chestnut with a white blaze. He followed you. Fought you. Loved you all the way. Together you saw many places. Kingdoms and villages.
No matter where you went he was close. He was getting closer every second. He hardly slept and spent most his night watching you toss and turn in the frantic nightmares. He longed to comfort you. Kiss your temple and hold you. Tell you it was alright.
One day he'd get his wish. For one day you would become tired of running from him and you'd stop. You'd let him hold you. You'd let him kiss you and love you in every way he could. One day you would do the same to him. It was just a matter of time.
He'd follow you to the ends of the Earth and you would follow him into the dark.

I'm fucking dying imagine c!Quackity taking a trip to the museum and seeing his prison waiver hanging on the wall and then just stands there sweating while c!Eret asks him perfectly innocent and nonchalant questions about what he did while keeping c!Dream company

maybe I'm thinking about c!Eret so much because of tonight, but fuuuuuuuuuck dude. they tried for so long to redeem themself in the eyes of their peers and those they'd done wrong. and the L'Manbergians are under no obligation to forgive them but the final control room pursues them like a bad shadow. barely anyone outwardly trusts them on Nov 16th because of the past precedent and on that day they laugh it off, but by the time we get to the Red Banquet and the betrayal is still being levelled against them despite them having fought for and helped save some of the people they originally betrayed they react with anger. and that's why the museum strikes me particularly hard. what are the first things they build? the camarvan and the L'Manberg walls, and then eventually a perfect replica of the final control room. they wish everyone would stop seeing them for just their past mistakes, and yet they build the museum and collect items for exhibits and keep retelling the lessons of the past, in the hopes that finally someone might learn from their mistakes. I love c!Eret so much man.

I would very much like to hear your trans Wilbur headcanons!
OHHHHHHH boy I’m not on my computer so this might not be as fast as I want it to be but sit down so you can strap in I’m just getting started
(For context even pre-transition we’re gonna use she/he/it pronouns and both identifiers.)
Uhhh trans-typical trigger warnings. We’re not just getting into the “cosmetic” shit of being trans.
So C!Wilbur for years before his death: egg. I made an edit about it that which is in my bigender wilbur tag but anyway yeah. Girlie was deeep in the closet. She was envious of all the people who got to live the life they wanted and feel bad about it or completely oblivious to it. (c!Eret came out to it and bro didn’t even fucking realize just died a little on the inside and thought it was transphobic.)
She’s so attached to a nonexistent “manhood” that she’s actively pushing herself further in the closet, because men are big and strong and tough and she’s leading a country, so if there’s any doubts about being a man there’s definitely no time for that! (Which there aren’t, so she’s good.) It’s never liked armor and always brushed the idea off, and if it visualizes itself in a dress every once in a while and would love to model one, or pretends his coat was just was a little bit longer, then no one needs to know. And he doesn’t need to understand.
Pogtopia just turns it up to eleven. Its body is wrong and that’s bad, and she keeps visualizing herself like a man, like Schlatt, and crying. But also a lot of it is also the normal crying? And this kind of crying is different from the crying she usually does, the crying that Tommy doesn’t know how to help and the crying that Techno suspiciously says nothing on. There are no mirrors in Pogtopia. For good reason. There are mirrors in Schlatt’s office.
Something is wrong he can tell, something is wrong. And she doesn’t know what it is, and it scares the living fuck out of her.
Fast forward a few years into limbo, Wilbur is fiddling with her shirt and suddenly a thought: hey, what if I had tits. Like actual ones? The thought just takes him so far off guard, it stops fiddling with its shirt entirely, dropping it in the embarrassment. What the fuck?
The thoughts continue like this and with no one to talk to, Wilbur can literally do nothing but self-reflect, and oh my God does he want to wear dresses? Does she want long hair? It’s stuck in the body and with limbo allowing no recluse, he mourns.
It suffers like this for a while, eventually concluding, “I am what I am,” but it’s still not an answer. It’s just a dismissal.
Wilbur doesn’t bring it up when Tommy follows him into to limbo, too busy occupied with having someone for the first time. And if she lets a few things slip that Tommy definitely doesn’t catch uhhhh who knows.
Revival drags him back to life. And suddenly, his body has weight again, he can feel the warmth on his skin, and the air in between his lungs, and it’s everything he ever wanted. Then crash.
All the pieces he tried to forget over limbo just come hurtling back like a bullet train. Too loose shirt, hair that doesn’t feel right, too masculine, not what he wants- What he wants?
This is all too much, he can’t figure this shit out on his own.
Despite himself (herself?), she goes to find Eret. Niki might kill her, and going to his son about this, it just simply couldn’t take. It remembers sixteen years ago, when they came out to Wilbur. Or was it a year? Fuck.
Either way.. Breathe tepid and heart racing, he knocks on the door to Eret’s museum. She opens, and God, this just isn’t worth it. It turns to run away and feels a hand on its shoulder. Something cold runs up the spine of his back, and she immediately smacks the hand away, fully ready to blow her top. Then it falters. He’s ready to walk off, call this a bust and just go home, but then Eret speaks: “Wilbur?”
God.
“…Can we talk about something?”
Surprisingly, the first thing on Eret’s mind wasn’t Wilbur’s coming out. (Crazy, right?) They talk properly about all the shit that’s happened with conversations they really needed to have, Wilbur definitely cried a few times, tried his best to not start arguments, but somehow, he went in for an explanation and came back with one of his oldest enemies by his side.
What he thought would be a small talk eventually blossomed into her first real reconciliation.
He’s so anxious to try on a dress, a dichotomy from the confident, suave Wilbur Eret once knew, but as she slipped it on, her eyes lit up. Eret brushed out its hair for it, pulling the lower half of it into a ponytail and talking about how fast Wilbur’s hair already grows. Its heart swells with pride.
Bigender. That was the word. She rolled it over on her tongue over and over again, bigender. It fit. Its identity wasn’t black and white, no one or the other. Because yeah, sometimes he was a guy, and sometimes she was a fucking girl. God.

my whole thing about the stream today was something felt... odd? i can’t place it. i’m just getting my thoughts out, this isn’t like /neg or criticism i just. thinking ig.
c!eret had spent the first good portion of her stream praising l’manburg for what it stood for, how it was home to people, how it was strong and nothing has come close to it since. she spends her whole life at the moment keeping records and keeping up the history. she says she fears what history might forget. how the members and events of l’manburg is already villainized, people are being painted in bad lights when they were never bad at all.
he spends several minutes just. talking wilbur up. how he was a good leader. how he wanted to revive wilbur because people needed the moral boost that wilbur brought. that wilbur had good wants and intentions, and in the end he was just... eret admitted that in the end wilbur mentally was at his lowest, that things had definitely weighed on him, but not once in this talk did he ever blame wilbur, or bring up he was at fault for anything?
then wilbur arrived, very clearly not intending to speak to eret. it seemed he was trying to sneak past the museum unnoticed. the first comments he makes is about armor. he does that thing where he stands a block above eret. he fumbles on his words a lot. he gives an, admittedly, not the greatest apology!
but then.. eret demands a better apology. now, ppl have already criticized a lot on whether there was any grounds for that sort of thing, and they’ve done analysis on what was said, what could’ve been done better, etc etc (highly reccomend @sajdd or @tobi-smp for some of those).
but it feels like a switch was flipped.
it could’ve been c!eret finally letting out all her thoughts that had built up or. i don’t know, really i don’t. but watching it i’d gone from :D to :(? so quickly  because there were just, several minutes of prolongued praise that sounded like wilbur might finally be told he meant something? or that his creations meant something, after spending so long being berated over those things by himself or others. and it felt like we would also get a moment where eret could explain a wide number of things- but instead we got “you’re not a good person” “you did awful things”. and it just. it felt like a switch was flipped and it was just. it was jarring, it really was.
it felt bad too because wilbur went so quiet, and wilbur almost never goes quiet, and he started to stand under eret, a block below, which is this huge minecraft-language thing he’s been doing. and then there was the proper apology- where eret gave a better apology and wilbur did but... it had then gone to ‘you’re not so bad’
which feels like- positive remarks to negative remarks to neutral remarks.
i dont get it
i love c!eret so much, and i love c!wilbur. something felt off and i can’t articulate what or why past this, im very tired. but uh, yeah. those are some thoughts from me. i dont feel like doing in depth analysis on c!wilbur or cc!wilbur’s acting and how he acted in face cam like i usually do bc like, im just rlly tired rn. maybe later. but uh, anyway yeah. thats all.

Thank you to the Dream SMP. For all the memories made. For all my friends in the transcript blog and my beloved girlfriend. Thank you for keeping me busy these past few years, through all the tough times. All the laughs and the tears. All the beautiful fanworks. Thank you for inspiring me to draw again, to play Minecraft again. All the hours I spent watching streams beside my sibling, sharing these memories of this wonderful and strange thing that can never happen again.
Goodbye L'Manberg and Snowchester and Las Nevadas. The cabins and statues and Eret's museum. The Prime Path and the Community House and all the unfinished builds. Goodbye to the characters I love and the stories that had me on the edge of my seat.
It's bittersweet. I've been angry at the server and its streamers for a long time. But the Dream SMP really did change my life and it feels good to have closure, one final hurrah instead of fizzling out. I'm so glad that so many people came on this journey with me and that I could be part of such an awesome community.
Goodbye, Dream SMP.

what’s your opinion on the relationship of cfundy and cschlatt in manberg days or even beyond that?
Haven’t watched manberg vods in well over a year but I LOVE THEM they were so awful. I like how Schlatt caused this sort of horrible internal tug of war for fundy. Weather to stay with him or go back to Wilbur yknow? c fundy was the last person to leave the manberg cabinet that’s INSANE. Schlatt would praise him but would also be cruel and dismissive enough to keep fundy craving his respect. It’s so sad. What’s the most interesting to me about their relationship though is definitely the after math of Schlatt’s death cause fundy never really. Got over Schlatt. Not at all. He got hit and screamed at in front of everyone and still regarded Schlatt’s sword as HIS rightful heirloom. He’d take it everywhere and was upset by the idea of H holding it even temporarily (worth noting he didn’t have a problem with H holding onto other personally historically significant items and weapons) . He even refused to give Eret the sword for the museum unless Eret found Schlatt’s armor and put all of it up on display. Fundy clearly still respected Schlatt up until after his suicide when fundy finally gives it up to Eret almost nonchalantly. It’s sort of eerie to me. Because that (to me) only shows he’s really got nothing left, not even his devotion to a man who never respected him in the first place. I love them a lot they make me sad

mafia au you say?
I made a moodboard for this au idea before posting anything about the au, so here's the gist!
OKAY.
So. Two sections of sorts. The Before Times and the Now. With an eight year gap in between. The factions have changed over that time. Before times, the majority of the city was occupied by the Arctic Empire led by the Crowfather, but when a rookie cop, Dream, commits himself to a war on organized crime (for reasons unknown) once an attempt is made on the Crowfather's son's life, Phil breaks down, takes his kid and his ally Technoblade, and flees. In that power vacuum left behind, Schlatt takes over with ruthless abandon. The Before Times have a few character focused prequel fics at present, but I'll have more plot stuff for it later!
Tumblr media
(I'll put my shitty maps in here too for reference) (Yes I called the region under government control pig land. ACAB and all that.)
Tumblr media
So at the beginning of the fic, the Empire has been divided up between Schlatt and the Badlands, with a lot of violence over some turf in the middle, but the real prize is West of the river, a much more upper class part of town which the cops keep careful control over. The arrows indicate borders shifting/where each group hopes to expand. The only other party of relevance is Puffy, who has a small strip along the docks from a deal with the Badlands, she is the one who runs all the drugs and booze in the city (city is in a prohibition type beat) after she quit the force.
The plot will start out with a few bangs, people going missing and dying and meeting and betraying each other, fun stuff like that, but I don't want to spoil anything so I'll talk characters instead– some of them will be important enough to have stuff from their pov, especially earlier on the list, but I don't know for sure yet who I'll focus on!
Tubbo: Just turned 18. Son of a mob boss. (Schlatt. I am sorry.) He's a ruthless little genius, but he hates the way things are run right now. His dad has put Tubbo and everyone he cares about in danger. Schlatt has made enemies, behaved recklessly, but it's Tubbo who will be left to pick up the pieces and try to keep everyone safe. The moment he can, he's going to change things for the better and strike down anyone who gets in his way. His friends include Tommy, the proud street rat, Niki and Ranboo, sister and brother who run a bakery/speakeasy together, and tentatively Schlatt's lawyer Quackity (they're foxhole buddies. friendship means survival)
Quackity: Schlatt's lawyer. Has an... interesting relationship with the guy (ew) but he's got a Plan. He's gonna get the fuck out of there and start up a casino with his boyfriend Karl (who sells counterfeit watches lol I had to) but you can't just up and leave the mob. So he's keeping his cards close to his chest for now, and when he sees an opportunity, he'll get out. He'd never admit it, but part of why he's sticking around is because he won't leave Tubbo alone with that piece of shit.
Sapnap: Grew up in the mob life because his father, BBH, led the Badlands, but left it the moment he turned 18 because he didn't want to live a life of crime. He wanted to help people, so he became a cop (please laugh. laughter is appropriate. Sapnap starts out wearing clown shoes.) it ended messy with his dad, as he basically completely cut him off. He joined the police academy with his best friend Dream and never looked back. (he joined eight years before around the same time everything changed.) Karlnapity is endgame.
Sam: Used to be a top dog in the Badlands before he pussied out– I mean had a moral crisis. Police captain after Puffy went awol. very canon-esque. Strong moral compass, but also such a fucking idiot. He lives on the nicer side of town with his boyfriend Ponk. Who works at Eret's museum and volunteers in the evening to give medical care to the homeless (aww isn't that sweet)
Ponk: Ponk is a fence who runs their operations out of Eret's basement. They're also Schlatt's doctor and sneak over there after dark to try and keep the stupid bastard alive. But they want out. They're tired of lying to Sam and working for someone they find morally reprehensible. So they make a deal with the Badlands– if they give them a way to get into the police station without breaking in/getting caught, the Badlands will protect them from Schlatt when they leave. So they steal Sam's keys (police files? haven't decided yet). One more job, then they go straight. For Sam. They're well liked across borders, but will that be enough to keep them safe?
Wilbur: Son of the Crowfather. Grew up in the city alongside the Empire kids, kids Phil took in, Fundy, Jack, Niki, Ranboo, along with a less close... rivalry? friendship? with the Badland's kid Sapnap. Then all of the sudden things got bad and when he was 18 or 19 his dad took him and ran, leaving all of his friends behind. (The other Empire kids were safe, they had no known affiliation with the Arctic Empire, Fundy squared away to become an accountant, Jack had already sort of separated him from the empire and had a job at a hotel, and Niki had her bakery to support herself and Ranboo.). Wilbur, going firmly against everything his father taught him, wanted to return to the city a new man, a musician who was down for a scheme or two, but definitely not the son of a mob boss. His first night back he runs into two people: his old friend Sapnap, who has degraded himself into working for the man, and Tommy. This annoying random kid who was kind enough to help him find Niki's speakeasy– The Secret City.
Tommy: street rat. refuses to tie himself down to an organization and heavily frowns upon it, tolerating Tubbo's family ties, but refusing to join anyone. He likes the freedom of it all, even if it gets lonely at times. He used to work with his buddy Eryn, the two of them planning pickpocketing hits and breaking into hotel rooms to sleep for the night, until Eryn decided he wanted to be a part of something more and joined up with the Badlands. He still spends most nights breaking into hotel rooms, his favorite being one which belongs to Jack Manifold, who hates his guts but also has never been able to catch him until he's already sneaking down the fire escape. 17 at the start of the fic. Helps this stupid tall fuck with a guitar find Niki's place because he's just ASKING to get mugged. Has no idea they'll one day consider each other brothers.
(the rest are more minor characters but boy do i have a lot for them lol)
Puffy: Basically in the Before Times she was the police captain that trained Sapnap and Dream when they were rookies. Her son Foolish is taken hostage, because ofc the mob want the police captain in their pocket, but she doesn't know who took him. The rest of the department/higher ups basically go "ya we can't do anything until they make demands good luck lol" so she goes. Okay. Fuck you guys. And takes her and her two little rookies to go look for him. The Arctic Empire are the most powerful players on the board at the time, but it's not them. The Badlands offer to help Puffy get her son back if she agrees to come work for them. She does. The police force basically were gonna leave Foolish to die. First she plays both sides, keeping an eye on Sapnap for Bad, undermining the police force, but Quackity the lawyer owes her a favor and helps her retire peacefully when the pigs start to catch on. She works for the Badlands for a few years, becomes a drug lord, starts her own little empire. Becomes the Godfather. (get it. bc Foolish is her son. the Godfather.)
Dream: A driven little bastard. In the before times, he and Sapnap joined the academy together. For reasons I will not yet explain, Dream makes it his one fucking mission to get all organized crime out of their city. He's ruthless. He's not committed to justice, he's committed to victory, damn whoever gets caught in the crossfire. He is supposed to play a major role as a villain, but I might make his whole deal more off-screen/reduced if I can.
Badboyhalo: was the second most powerful mob boss in the Empire days. Proud of his work, until his son left the family and basically went "you're dead to me." Bad had a crisis of faith. He cares about his family more than he does power, so he gives up some of his territory to Puffy, and asks Skeppy to run things for him. He's going to open up a diner (with a hint of money laundering ofc) and live a Normal Life in the hopes that one day Sapnap will come back to him. His peaceful retirement is an illusion. He could return to his former glory on a whim, but he'll wait for Sapnap for now.
Phil and Technoblade: Not too much to say here, they won't be active for the majority of the story, but Philza is The Crowfather. Insanely powerful. Even after he left the city to take over another one, he left behind some of his Crows to keep on eye on things (crows are people/spies, not birds lol) and Technoblade. He is Phil's enforcer and his right hand. He wears a pig skull mask because he's a notorious cop killer.
Eret: RICH. Runs the museum. Partially blind. Gives off an aura of being naively above all of the crime running rampant in the city. But she knows Everything. She is fiercely protective of her staff, which includes Ponk, museum curator, HBomb, her chauffeur/general guide, Fundy who runs the museum finances (aw an accountant just like his mom), and Foolish who has no idea what he's doing but Eret hired him as a favor to his dad Puffy.
Eryn: Was a street rat running around with Tommy, left him for a few years to go sailing with a crew as a little cabin boy. Came back with some cool scars and stories, tried to work with Tommy again but found he still wanted to be a part of a 'crew' of some sort, so he joined the Badlands. Now a spy with... let's say limited loyalties. (Tommy will always come first, but other than that...)
Niki: runs a bakery which is mostly a front for her speakeasy. Ranboo isn't really her brother, but she looked after him when she was alone on the streets until Philza took them under his wing. She just wants to make bread and a safe haven, but her speakeasy is right in the middle of highly fought over territory. She's used to being threatened or bullied by idiots trying to claim her fucking business. She doesn't blame Tubbo for his father's bullshit when he comes to collect dues, but she will keep this place running or burn down the city with it. Her speakeasy is open to everyone. No conflict, no sides, no guns allowed.
Ranboo: he's just a shy little dude. Didn't ask to be involved in this shit, but when one of your best friends ends up being the son of a mob boss you gotta roll with the punches. He's got a scar and a not-so-mysterious backstory.
Skeppy: this man is terrifying. A force to be reckoned with. When Bad stepped down, he stepped up. Has a soft spot for Bad and Bad alone, even if he doesn't understand him giving up everything for his son, he wants to help him and has the power to do so. (until, on the night of the first chapter, he mysteriously goes missing...)
Foolish: Found trouble in his youth, violent troublemaker in his early teens, but his dad is super protective of him from that one time he got kidnapped when he was like 14. He's a bit clueless about how the every day world works as he went from an absent father to basically being bubble-wrapped 24/7, so he starts working at Eret's place. He's buddies with Ponk and Eret, loves his job at the museum, not very good at it yet. Has a slight propensity for violence that his dad has made him outgrow, but will protect his friends.
Jack: Runs a hotel. Former Empire kid. Will lose his mind (he's moments away from Snapping) and end up helping Tubbo with his whole deal. Cares a lot about his friends. Sometimes wants to strangle Tommy.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head! And this was me trying to avoid spoilers lmao.
If you managed to read all this, thank you!!! I am always happy to talk about this au and maybe even some sneaky plot stuff but right now nothing is written yet! I am trying to figure out how I'm going to write it, I might write a bunch of fics each centered around different characters, but chapter titles with correspond to where in the timeline it takes place. Something like that, bc I don't think I can make this into one huge fic, and if folks are interested in a specific character/storyline, they can pick and choose what they read!
But again, i already have many wip I am in the middle of. But god does this au tempt me.
