Can I say... the stream with Lil Nas X the other night was lovely, but like. Can we please talk about the reaction to the thing with Eret? And how overbearing some of yall are????

If you didn’t see, this is what happened; Eret made a little welcome shrine for Lil Nas X in his castle. He wasn’t in the vc. The guys came through, saw it, joked around, took one of the photos. Eret spoke in the text chat but didn’t join vc. The guys moved on.

And for some reason, I saw a ton of people in the twitch chat and on twitter and tumblr afterwards... getting mad at Karl?

Like people were spamming in twitch chat telling him to ‘let Eret into the vc’, being mad, and then ranting afterwards about him being mean to Eret, excluding him- I even saw a couple people call him homophobic for it????

And like.... yall. Yall do know that Eret. Is an adult. And a human being. And that he can speak for himself. Right?

Like yall are aware that Karl and Eret are friends in real life. And that if Eret WANTED to be in the vc, he could have messaged Karl. And talked to him. And that if he was upset, for whatever reason, he could also contact Karl on his own.

I’m just... so sick of people thinking they know CCs better than themselves or their real life, personal friends. Like... you don’t know them on that level! It is not at all your place to insert yourself or try to find drama where there is none! Stop trying to pit CCs against each other because you don’t understand the way they interact! If there was a problem, they would either be transparent about it or, more likely, settle it in private! Either way it’s not your fuckin job to talk about it OR be angry for them!!! Be a Normal Human and let people live wtf!!!

VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

Accusing someone of faking a mental illness (or any invisible disability or suchlike) is very wrong, for at least three reasons:

1. Most people have a lot of false and stereotyped ideas about mental disorders. Our society is pervaded by misrepresentations of mental illness. So, odds are, even if you’re well-intentioned, you (and I) still have lots of false assumptions. So, if you think you can tell whether someone is faking their disorder, then you’re probably wrong. You’re probably making the judgment on the basis of bogus evidence and false theories. You might be right—but you’re probably wrong. It’s kind of like offering legal advice as a non-expert—it’s simply too complicated and easily misunderstood, so we should withhold judgment.

2. The actual number of people who fake mental disorders is way smaller than most people believe. But the number of real mentally ill people who are FALSELY ACCUSED of faking it is really big! Lots and lots of mentally ill people are falsely accused of being fakers at some point. Some of them are falsely accused many, many times. This is devastating (see point 3).

3. Staying silent when someone fakes a mental illness is only MILDLY bad. But falsely accusing an ACTUAL mentally ill person of faking their disorder is VERY bad. An individual faker usually causes only a small amount of overall harm—it’s bad, but not hugely bad. By contrast, false accusations against real mentally ill people often causes immense suffering and isolation, increasing the anxiety/stress and overall mental illness severity for many of them. Sure, some people fake mental illness. But even so, we should NOT make such accusations against any particular person.

To summarize again: Even if we might privately suspect someone of faking it, we’re probably basing our judgment on bogus stereotype-based reasoning and assumptions, so our suspicion is probably flat-out wrong or ill-conceived. And even if some people are faking it, there are relatively few of the fakers-- whereas there are lots of real mentally ill people who are falsely accused, day in and day out. Finally, letting a faker “get away with it” usually causes comparatively little harm to any person, whereas falsely accusing a real mentally ill person of fakery often causes severe harm to that person.

In light of these three considerations, we should pretty much never accuse someone of faking their mental disorder.

Watching Fundy’s lore stream has reminded me that his character has been used and then abandoned by people repeatedly. First by Wilbur during the revolutionary war, and then by Schlatt during the elections. Fundy loses both of these people after the Pogtopia vs. Manburg war and begins to seek family through Eret and Philza. Eret is unable to fulfill on his wishes to provide him a home, but Philza slowly and reluctantly warms up to Fundy and becomes a father figure.

But then once again, Fundy is used by the Butcher Army to betray Philza, because he wants to feel a place of belonging, and the Butcher Army serves as that.

So Philza (justifiably) runs away and abandons Fundy, and Fundy turns to the Butcher Army, but L’manburg gets destroyed, and he’s once again isolated.

After the recent stream, the stream ended with the sound of a slot machine and a smiling face. The mystery book also warned Fundy about not trusting “him,” no matter what “he” promises.

Current theory is that once again, Fundy will turn to Quackity for a sense of belonging, but Quackity is going to betray and abandon Fundy in the pursuit of power and personal gain.

@theeretblr wanted a new MC Skin for their Hardcore world and i loved the challenge, twas really fun to make!

Since you can’t see or do all the details on a mc skin, i also added the rough sketch version i did for a better look at it :3 (also made one with the purple cancer ribbon <3 ) (i hope i uploaded them properly)

Headcannons:

* After being “teleported” back to their spawn the cause of “death” is still in affect for a couple seconds. (ie, if they’re about to drown, they spawn back coughing up water (and soaked); If it was to a mob/weapon, they spawn back with the wound/s quickly healing themselves)

*Erets cloak was actually a lot longer, however, in the water temple when they got stuck on something - causing a “teleport” - turns out their cloak got snagged on something which made them stuck, so they cut it shorter with a sword (they kept tripping on it anyway)

thats actually all i have for now but will continue if i think up anymore :)

i am also totally adding this to my list of Eret cosplays (putting me at 14 cosplays, im so excited)
