Eri Reader x Straw Hats 18
-You’re not sure how much time had passed, but you woke up to a massive crash and lots of screaming, jolting you wide awake. Your little heart was pounding in your chest as you gasped, quickly sitting up, finding yourself alone in the infirmary on Grandpa Whitebeard’s ship.
-You scrambled over to a window, hearing loud shouting, like fighting and you pulled yourself up onto a chair, looking out to see that you were in an unknown place, ships all around you, and everything seemed to be trapped in ice.
-You had no idea how much time had passed, and you went to move before you heard, “ACE!!” you turned back, eyes wide, seeing Luffy running in and tears quickly came to your eyes, “Luffy!!”
-He couldn’t hear you and you quickly scrambled off the chair and ran for the door, it was really tall for you, but you were able to reach, after pushing the chair over to it, hanging on the handle and ran out.
-You found yourself in a massive hallway, and you looked down either side, unsure of which way to go before you swallowed, remembering that you needed to help save Ace! You turned to the left and took off running.
-You came to a huge set of stairs, leading up to a massive door and you quickly started up them, you slipped once, hurting your knee but you clenched your teeth, not wanting to give in and kept going, doing your best to ignore the pain.
-Once at the door, there were no chairs, and you couldn’t reach the handle. You could hear the fighting on the other side, and you heard Luffy shouting out Ace’s name.
-Your little fists pounded on the door, with hopes someone would come and open the door for you, crying out, “Luffy! Grandpa!! Anyone?! Please let me out!! I need to save Ace!!”
-Your little voice and the pounding on the door did little against the sound of a massive war happening outside, nobody could hear you.
-You looked down at your hands, which hurt, turning red from the pain before you balled them into fists, remembering what you had done on Thriller Bark, rewinding the door.
-You began to pound again, your horn flaring to life, slowly at first, begging your powers to do the same to the door, to rewind it- you just wanted it to back enough so you could at least get outside.
-With each explosion, each gunshot and each scream you grew more desperate, getting more and more scared. A roar of cheers startled you, making you pull back, your fists now bleeding slightly, the stinging pain making it hard for your pounding to be as loud.
-Your eyes narrowed, hearing loud shouting as the aura of your horn covered your head before surrounding your body, “LET! ME! OUT!!” and with one last beat to the door, your quirk finally activated and the door was quick to give way, crumbling as it turned into slats of wood.
-You tumbled out, landing hard on your stomach with a sharp cry before you looked up, finding yourself alone on the ship, smoke rising from the battlefield before you.
-Loud shouts filled your ears and you ran for the figurehead, that looked like a giant whale as you heard someone shout, “Get Luffy’s little brother out of here!” you saw a large blue man, a fishman, holding Luffy, who was bleeding heavily, running away from the battle.
-Your eyes went wide, seeing that Whitebeard was standing over Ace’s body, a gaping hole in Ace’s chest- he was dead.
-You couldn’t breathe, your tears welled in your eyes easily blinding you felt the pounding of your heart growing louder and louder, nearing a panic attack as Whitebeard told everyone to fall back.
-You then saw another man and his crew, the man from the pirate island, Blackbeard, attacking Whitebeard while everyone else was trying to escape, he was putting himself at risk to let his brats all escape. He took his last breaths, but remained standing, dying a true man.
-Your piercing scream instantly had everyone attention, “GRANDPA!!!” everyone froze as the aura that came from your horn, making it grow to more than a foot long, seemed to explode out from you, surrounding Whitebeard and Ace, blowing Blackbeard, his crew, and the marines nearby back head over heels.
-Marco’s eyes were wide as he quickly changed into his half phoenix form, trying to get to you, sensing that this was dangerous.
-Everyone saw what you were doing, seeing the wounds on both Whitebeard and Ace healing, almost like you were rewinding time and eyes went huge, on all those who didn’t know your ability, seeing that you brought both of them back as they both jolted awake, gasping heavily.
-You were so angry, hot tears flowing down your face, seeing them both now awake and instantly you heard marines and Blackbeard shout out orders to get to you, to grab you, as your ability had now been broadcasted worldwide, now the whole world knew why you had such a high bounty and why everyone was after you.
-Aikinu was quick to rush towards you, wanting to get to you- as you would be useful, but Coby stepped in front of him, blocking his path, “She’s just a little girl! You can’t treat her like a tool!” the admiral was fully ready to kill Coby to get to you.
-You saw a flash of red and you saw a new man, Shanks, who protected Coby, knocking Aikinu back, “There has been enough death here today- and I agree with this lad- Y/N is just a little girl. I won’t let her become a tool used by the government.”
-With Shanks’ interference, the Whitebeard army was able to escape, leaving without any other casualties, and soon they were all back to sea.
-Ace had rushed to you, seeing that your horn was still enlarge and your aura was still covering you, as you had sent yourself into an adrenaline rush.
-However, as he called out your name, you flinched hard, turning towards him, the aura fading as you saw both him and Whitebeard there, banged up like the others but alive.
-You were quick to break, a harsh sob that hurt your throat escaping you as you leapt into his arms, “Big brother!!” Ace sat on his rear, hugging you close as your horn started to shrink, returning to normal as you calmed down.
-Your vision slowly started to go black as you whimpered softly, “Don’t feel good…” and quickly everyone panicked as you fainted, slumping in Ace’s arms before your aura returned around your body. It did nothing other than surround your whole body, as if it was coating you, protecting you.
-By the time they reached Amazon Lily, meeting up with Luffy, Rayleigh, Jinbei, and Law, Marco and the other doctors had been able to figure out that you were basically in a coma, something your ability had put you in.
-It was speculated that due to that massive display of power, overusing your power so soon after bringing Thatch back to life, then bringing both Whitebeard and Ace, as well as blowing the others back, that your body was now extremely weak, and to protect you so you could heal, your powers put you in a deep coma, but Marco was able to tell there was no risk of you dying, it was more like you were fast asleep.
-Luffy, who had been distraught, thinking Ace was still dead, feeling so useless- letting his brother die, was stunned when Ace appeared behind him while Rayleigh and Jinbei were trying to help calm him down.
-Luffy was just like you, sobbing so hard that he hurt his throat, almost making himself sick as he clutched his brother close, relief flooding his body.
-Luffy was concerned when he was allowed to see you, along with Law, who confirmed what Marco had discovered about you- getting a second opinion, Grandpa Rayleigh, Jinbei, and Hancock, who had heard about you from Luffy, as he had shown so much determination to get back to you as well as save Ace, showing her how attentive he was, and how he could be with their future children!!
-Luffy was scared for you, hearing that you were in a coma, but everyone’s concern quickly grew after the papers came out, your abilities being announced publicly and your bounty going up again, this time to 1 billion beris.
-Everyone had quickly started arguing what to do to keep you safe, with Luffy being the only quiet one for once. Luffy knew that he wasn’t strong enough to protect you right at the moment, the battle with Kuma then the battle at the Marineford was proof of that- he needed to get stronger, and Rayleigh was willing to train him.
-Luffy then looked at Ace who started at seeing such a determined look on his face, “Ace, will you and that old man keep her safe?” eyes went wide, looking at Luffy, as he went on to explain he needed to train, he needed to become stronger, and he knew that Ace would keep you safe, him and Whitebeard.
-Ace inhaled deeply before he turned to Whitebeard and went down on his knees, his head going to the floor, bowing deeply, “Forgive me Old Man, but I want to leave the crew! I’m going to join Luffy’s crew so I can protect Y/N!”
-Ace’s declaration was also very shocking, especially to the other members of Whitebeard’s crew, except for Whitebeard, who looked proud, “You can do as you wish, just know that you will always be a part of my crew, Ace.”
-Ace was quickly in tears, bowing deeply to Whitebeard, thanking him loudly.
-The plan was laid out that Ace would take you and he was going to go lay low somewhere, to protect you while you were in your coma, as everyone knew that you were with Whitebeard, so if you weren’t there, you wouldn’t be put in any danger, something Luffy agreed on.
-Luffy laid siege to the Holy City, ringing the bell and sending the message out to the rest of his crew, allowing them all two years to train, to become stronger, and told Ace to meet them back in Sabaody Archipelago in two years’ time.
-When Ace took you, only Ace himself, Whitebeard, Shanks, Hancock, Luffy, and Rayleigh knew where you were, safe with Ace, who would check in from time to time, to give status updates on you, and he took off on his wave surfer, holding you safe in his arms.
-To throw them off Ace’s trail, Whitebeard, Hancock, and Shanks, who were both willing to help Luffy and you, spread out, spreading rumors that they each had you, or that you were on one of the other ships, to confuse the marines so nobody would know where you were, at least for a while until the heat died down.
-Shanks only wanted to know when you woke up, to know that you were okay and that you were safe, something Whitebeard was willing to promise him, and Hancock agreed to inform both Rayleigh and Luffy, who were using her island to train, when any updates came in about you.
-Ace spent the next two years traveling all around the Grand Line, sending in false tips to the marines that you had been sighted, to clear certain areas out of the marines.
-You were in a coma for the two years that everyone was training, you didn’t change, not even aging, almost like you had been in suspended animation in your coma, due to your powers, but Ace never left your side, talking to you about his past, telling you stories, telling you how Luffy was training hard, and how everyone missed you.
-As he made it back to the archipelago first, following Rayleigh’s instructions on where Sunny was hidden, coated and ready for when the others arrived, he couldn’t help but smile, setting you on your bed, “Everyone will back soon Y/N- soon the Straw Hats will be back together, just like they should be.”
-Ace could have sworn you smiled softly up at him, like you had heard his words, before he covered you up and collapsed beside you, taking a nap as well.

The Forest House seemed to fascinate Iris. Eris watched her expressions as he took her through every corner of its sprawling complex, through the trees and rocks woven within it, and even through its uppermost levels which was the only level visible above the ground.
With every sentry they met and various staff that roamed, he was acutely aware of how she watched his interactions with them and Eris made it a point to introduce her as often as the moment would allow it, but only to the right people. He found that Iris was very good at playing the shy wife, even as, much to his amusement, she muttered obscenities at him.
He took her through the tunnels a few levels into the stone and they went through a ballroom, training rooms, and the large kitchens. Eris watched with mirth as she scarfed down the quick lunch the kitchen staff hastily prepared for them.
It was highly unusual for any member of the household to be down eating in the kitchens and Eris knew they were nervous with him there but Iris...he watched in curiosity as she quickly made friends and eased their apprehension with a few jokes. Her eyes would flicker to him each time, as if to make sure she was acting correctly, behaving as expected and it made his stomach clench.
It was such a stupid thing but a survival instinct he had mastered early on. One she mirrored and caught on to very quickly.
There wasn’t a corner they hadn’t reached and though it had taken them well into the afternoon before they made their way back up to the wing housing his mother and the music room, Eris could tell she was impressed.
“Not as suffocating as you imagined?” he asked with a smirk and gave her a pointed stare.
“No. It is not,” she said with a chuckle. “But I appreciate you taking me outside first. It’s made me appreciate the inside more.”
“You’re enamored with your new home as you’re enamored with your husband then.” He asked, his smirk widening.
“I’m enamored with the idea that there are so many places I could murder you in.” She said with a sweet smile.
“I aim to please,” Eris said, nodding graciously, giving her a mock bow and Iris rolled her eyes, giving him the finger.
“My mother’s chambers are to the left and if you go straight down to the right, we have the music room,” he explained with a chuckle then pointed. “If you’d like to go ahead while I check in with my mother about dinner, you can. Or would you like to come with me?”
Iris shook her head with a smaller smile and started walking ahead. “I’d rather look a little more polished before I meet her...I'll see you when you’re finished.”
Tucking her smile into his heart, Eris did a double-take at the thought then grimaced. He wouldn’t overthink it. He took a breath and turned towards his mother’s chambers.
The conversations that took place between them as they continued to spend time together were...interesting. She asked him about everything and though Eris answered to the best of his ability, it was still strange to him that she wasn’t running off. Or attempting murder.
Knocking, he waited for permission before stepping in and smiling at his mother who welcomed him with a wave.
“Mother.”
“My son.” was her affectionate reply and the tips of Eris’s ear heated.
Planting a kiss on her cheek, he rested himself on the arm of the chair she was resting in, a book in hand.
“A second visit in one day? Has Iris tried to stab you again?” she asked with a coy smile.
Eris chuckled. “She tried to bite me but all has been well since then,” he replied. “I’ve been giving her the tour and she seemed to enjoy it.”
His mother smiled and looked behind him before meeting his eye again. “I’m glad to hear that. She isn’t with you now?”
“She’s slipped ahead to the music room but we both wanted to know if you’d be available for us to join you for dinner?” he asked with a small smile and Lady Enya beamed.
“Of course! I’d love for you two to join me!” she said and sat up, placing her book down. “I’ll have our staff make a lovely feast for us.”
“She wanted to spend time with you and thank you for the clothes.”
Lady Enya waved a hand. “She doesn’t need to thank me for anything but I’m so happy she wants to have dinner. I wanted to ask you this morning but didn’t want to push,” she said with a chuckle.
Eris nodded and waited for a heartbeat before slowly saying, “She met the hounds.”
Her eyebrows went up. “Oh?”
“They...were surprisingly very receptive to her.”
His mother’s lips twitched and she sat back. “Were they now?”
“My terrifying hounds were like putty in her hands,” he grumbled without any real heat. “Those traitors loved her.”
 “Did they?”
“What does that look mean, Mother?” he asked with a small scowl and his mother chuckled.
“I don’t know, Eris. What does it mean?” she teased and his scowl deepened.
“Mother.”
She chuckled again and squeezed his hand. “I'd say it means they know that you like her.”
Eris blinked and digested this for a moment. “Well. She is my wife.”
“Mmm. I suppose.”
Eris grunted, squinting at his mother’s smile, and rubbed the tip of his ear. “We...are still getting to know each other. I do not mind her so far.”
His mother rolled her eyes. “Yes. That’s exactly it,” she said with a small snort. “Because you don’t mind her.”
He weighed his next statement, his heart thundering in his wretched chest and his mother watched him with a knowing smile.
“It’s been...surprisingly easy,” he muttered. “To tell her things.”
“Good. It should be,” she replied.
“No. It’s too easy,” he said quickly then frowned and added in a whisper. “I’m unnerved. I don’t like it.”
“It’s because you’re not used to it.” his mother said gently. “The only other time you did, it didn’t end well but that is not the case here.”
Eris’s frown deepened. His mind had never been so torn over a female like this. His only justification was that he’d never been married before so naturally, this should be normal. He blinked.
“Is this normal?” he asked in a quiet tone and his mother gave him a bemused smile.
“What, exactly?”
Eris waved a hand with a grimace. “These...mixed emotions.”
“I think you need to stop overthinking it.”
“Why.”
“Because you will cause yourself more stress than you already have."
Eris narrowed his eyes at his mother’s expression, but he finally shook his head at her response. His mother was right. He didn’t need to overthink it. Didn’t need to read too much into it.
“I thought it would be more awkward, that’s all.”
“How much more awkward do you want it to be with the threats and all?” His mother said with a snort and the corner of his mouth lifted at the noise. “She seems to have spent much of her time alone...maybe she’s also wanted someone to talk to.”
Eris thought about this for a moment. It seemed to make sense. But again, he didn’t want to overthink it and only narrowed his eyes at his mother who chuckled.
“Your mind is always trying to find the snakes. I don’t think she’s going to be one of them,” she added and Eris nodded slowly. But then his mother chuckled again and Eris frowned, his cheeks coloring.
“If you keep making fun of me Mother, I’m going to stop telling you anything.”
This only made his mother laugh again. “It’s just — it’s delightful to see you so frazzled over a girl,” she said with a smile. “Your wife, nonetheless.”
“Delightful,” he said dryly. “Yes. I’m thrilled you find this so funny.”
“I’m interested to see what else you two end up sharing together.”
And again, Eris felt like a prepubescent boy embarrassing himself in front of his mother. Judging by the very knowing look she gave him, she enjoyed it too much. “I’m going to catch up with Iris,” he mumbled. “We’ll see you at dinner, then?”
Smiling, she patted his hand. “Yes! I look forward to it, my son.”
“Look forward to what exactly?”
Both Eris and his mother froze, their eyes locking. Eris swiftly stood, clasping his hands behind his back, and turned to face his father.
“Father.”
“Son,” Beron replied, his eyes slipping to his wife who had sat back, her eyes on the book. “What is it you’re looking forward to, dear?”
Eris clenched his fists at the word, meant as mockery rather than a term of endearment. Tension immediately filled the space as Eris looked at his mother and smiled tightly.
“Iris and I were planning to have dinner with Mother,” Eris said and Beron quirked a brow. Knowing he couldn’t avoid it and even though he hated to say it, he added, “You are welcome to join us, of course.”
“Ah, so the daughter-in-law will dine with the mother-in-law? How charming.” Beron said with a bite and the tension in Eris’s shoulders tightened. “When were you planning to have her meet with me?”
“Whenever you wished, Father. I know your schedule is full so it would’ve been at your preference.” Eris replied and Beron tutted.
“You always line your words up so neatly, son. As if I can’t smell your lies.” Beron said with a threatening smile. “If you had it your way, I’d never be in the same room as your little wife. Are you so attached already?”
Eris’s mouth went into a thin line. “We’re still getting to know each other.”
Beron snorted. “I’m assuming you put her in her place last night. Her father mentioned she needed a heavy hand,” he said, shooting his son a look and then turning from them towards the chair opposite his mother. “I won’t allow you to embarrass me by letting your wife walk all over you.”
Anger flared through every bone of Eris’s body and it took every ounce of self-control not to snap his neck on the spot.
“She won’t.”
“I should hope not,” Beron said, the smile now having a cruel edge to it. “You aren’t one to be controlled by a pretty cunt since you learned your lesson long ago. Remember that.”
Eris’s whole body shut down and roaring filled his ears. Gods, how desperately he wanted to snap his neck and be done with it. Kill him on the spot. Run his sword through his gut as many times as possible and watch him bleed out.
“Beron.” Lady Enya said, her tone sharper than it ever usually was with him, snapping Eris out of his thoughts.
The High Lord turned to his wife in amusement. “Yes, dear?”
“She’s your daughter-in-law. There’s no need to speak this way,” she spoke and Beron scoffed at her.
“But of course, dear. I shall mind my tongue as you always mind yours,” he replied then turned back to his son. “We’ll see you and your wife at dinner. I look forward to chatting with her.”
Eris clenched his jaw then nodded curtly. “We’ll see you then.” he ground out and before his father pushed his last button, he swiftly left the room.
He stood in front of the closed door for a moment, just to check — to make sure his father didn’t lay a hand — but he let out a breath when he only heard the clipped conversation and his mother slipping into the next room.
He needed to breathe more deeply. He needed — He needed his father dead, desperately. But not yet. His mother still needed time.
Eris rolled his shoulders back, running his tongue over his teeth then made his way to the music room. Iris was likely wondering what had taken so long but —
How would she react now that she had to spend dinner with his father as well? That was definitely not how it was supposed to go.
With a clenched jaw, tension rose through his body again and he made his way to his wife. The taunt of his past lover rang in his ear with each step and Eris’s fists clenched again.
He stopped in front of the room and found the door ajar but before he stepped in, he forced himself to take another deep breath. He didn’t need to let Iris know how he felt. Eris could keep it together. He knew better than to let his father rattle him. And yet...
Eris stepped into the room but Iris’s attention was fully on the grand piano. She must’ve already gone through the other instruments as she was now standing in front of it, her face thoughtful.
He watched silently as she reached out a hand and touched a key, the sound resonating through the room. The corner of her mouth ticked up and she pressed another, the sound going through the room once more. Stepping closer to the instrument, she let her hand glide across the set of keys and her smile widened at the sounds.
The chuckle that slipped her lips seemed to douse some of the anger in him.
He cleared his throat and strode slowly towards her. “Enjoying yourself?”
Iris turned to him and gave him a small smile. “I suppose.”
“Is it to your standards?”
“It’s beautiful. Perfectly tuned.”
“Then why aren’t you sitting to play?”
Iris sighed, pursing her lips while glancing at the white piano, their reflections shining off of it. “Sometimes I’m not sure if I love playing or I hate it.”
Eris leaned against the piano and glanced at his wife, watching her facial expressions. “Because of why you had to play?”
“Because I’m supposed to do this and nothing else. And I hate that.”
The lick of anger he was feeling from his father flared at the implication of her own father’s behavior and he spat, “Well, that’s not the case anymore. You can play because you enjoy it. And if you don’t enjoy it, then don’t play.”
Iris turned to him fully at his tone and Eris tried to curb his anger, tried to ease the tension in his shoulders but she seemed to see right through it.
“You’re angry,” she stated quietly and Eris noted how her eyes snapped to his clenched fist.
He quickly unclenched his hands.
“I am,” he stated simply and Iris met his gaze.
“Why?”
Eris ran his tongue over his teeth and it took him a moment to unclench his jaw.
“My mother will be happy to have us for dinner,” he said and Iris gave him a confused look.
“That’s... a good thing?”
“Yes,” he said, clasping his hands behind his back and clenched his fists once more. “But my father overheard and will be joining us as well.”
Iris grimaced. “Oh.”
“Yes,” he said. “And that is why I am the way I am right now.”
Iris fidgeted slightly, wringing her hands. “Is it going to be bad?”
“Yes.” he replied tightly. “If I know my father...he will make it bad. We will really have to sell our roles.”
Iris observed him for a moment and Eris let her, finding that looking at her seemed to ground him. He didn’t need to be too angry. It would be fine. He didn’t —
“Come. Sit with me,” she said and Eris blinked as she slipped onto the piano bench. She glanced at Eris and patted the space next to her.
He glanced at the space and then at her again before he slowly slid down next to her. She seemed to hold herself more rigidly than expected and it was then he noticed her eyes on his clenched fists again. A pang went through his chest and he immediately relaxed his hands once more.
“I will only cause a disturbance if I start pressing on these keys,” he said dryly and Iris chuckled, though a little nervously.
“That’s why I will play and you will listen,” she said quietly and looked at him.
His expression softened into surprise. “Really?”
“I did say maybe,” she said. “Today seems to be your lucky day.”
The corner of Eris’s mouth lifted and he nodded.
She nodded in return then looked away, back to the keys. He watched her take a deep breath and look down at the keys, a slight fondness in her gaze.
Then Iris started playing and his heart skidded inside his chest at what had to be one of the most beautiful melodies he had ever heard.
He watched her play, mesmerized, the notes seeming to rise off the piano and fill the space around them. He could almost see the music floating around the room, shimmering around them. He could feel it indenting itself into his bones.
Whatever tension that was previously in his body seemed to drift out of him as Iris’s fingers made magic. Eris watched her, his eyes locked on her face as she played, her own eyes closed, a small smile gracing her lovely face. He swallowed as the melody washed over him, soothing without a salve.
His shoulders drooped and Eris knew his expression had fallen into awe. He felt...he wasn’t sure how to describe it but he felt.
His eyes never left her face as she continued to play, the melody bringing him to an emotional edge he hadn’t quite experienced in a long time and Eris seemed to lose track of time. He forgot where they were and what they were supposed to be doing. All he could remember was that he was Eris and she was Iris, her melody a thread pulled taut between them.
His Iris, that was causing stars to shatter inside him.
His Iris. His wife.
A wife that had made him share more than he had shared with anyone in such a short amount of time. A wife he wanted a real life with.
A wife that was making him feel things he wasn’t sure he was allowed to feel.
After what Eris could only imagine was a blissful lifetime, Iris slowly came to a finish, the final note vibrating through the room even though he desperately didn’t want it to end.
A blanket of silence covered them as Iris’s hand hovered over the keys and Eris blinked rapidly, rolling his shoulders back, trying to ease the goosebumps all over his skin.
She opened her eyes and took another breath before she turned to look at him. “Did you like it?” she asked softly.
Eris had to try swallowing several times before he could finally reply, glancing at her in wonder. “That was beautiful.” He whispered and Iris flushed, a genuine smile blooming on her face.
“Thank you. Moments like this remind me that indeed, I do love playing,” she said with a chuckle but she looked away from him, her eyes now on the keys. “You shared a few things with me today that must’ve been difficult. This is me sharing a little something with you.”
Eris swallowed once more then blinked, his expression a mix of reverence and terror. He quickly realized this was going to be a bigger problem than he expected.
Quickly realized that if she kept making him feel things he was going to be irrevocably fucked.
That he needed to warn her again —
“Iris.” he said but she shook her head.
“Don’t say anything else about him.”
But how could Eris not warn her again? His father would rip her to pieces. He would destroy her and Eris would have to — he would need to —
Her hand came to rest atop his. The third time she’d touched him voluntarily today.
“Dinner will be fine,” she said calmly. “We’ll make the best of it.”
Eris took a deep breath and instantly flushed, his emotions catching up to him. He had never let his feathers get ruffled like this.
“Was that an attempt at sorcery with that particular song?” he joked, his voice not entirely steady and Iris’s flush deepened, her lips twitching.
“It’s...a song I like to play when I need a moment. A favorite of mine. It feels like magic.”
“That it does.”
Eris felt her eyes on him but he couldn’t look at her again. His eyes were focused on her hand atop his.
Dinner would be fine. It had to be fine.
“It will be fine.” she said, as if she could hear his thoughts. “I will watch what I say.”
And he hated that she had to. Hated that they both had to watch anything they did. Before he let the sourness overtake him, Eris swallowed again.
“Do you like to dance?” he asked quietly and Iris blinked at him in surprise at the question. He only looked at her, wondering if she could see the image that had come to life in his mind of the two of them dancing to her song.
She bit her lip, letting a second pass before she shook her head. “I never had a proper partner.”
“Well…it’s a good thing I’m an excellent dancer then,” he said, attempting his previous bravado and Iris raised a brow then chuckled.
“I suppose I can learn to enjoy it if you keep your hands in the right places.”
Eris chuckled, some of the tension in his body easing. “You’ll need to define where those right places are, little gazelle,” he said, the corner of his mouth going up as she rolled her eyes.
“The places that won’t end up with a knife in your chest, husband.”
He chuckled again and despite her threat, Iris smiled at him. “Let’s go freshen up before I have to pretend to whimper and wince for your father,” she said and patted his hand. Just as she stood to move, Eris tugged on her hand gently.
It was Iris’s turn to eye his hand on hers.
“I hope you play this song again,” he said quietly. “When it’s a good moment too.”
She met his gaze and he felt her heartbeat vibrating at the same frequency as his own.
“I hope so too.” was her quiet response, color blooming on her cheeks. She gave him a small smile and slid away from him, Eris’s eyes following her, watching as her fingers flexed at her sides, listening to the erratic rhythm of her heart.
Many thoughts crossed his mind as he slowly stood, following in her footsteps but the one he allowed himself to dwell on was that they needed to rearrange their living chamber. A piano would be required.

A Strange Feeling (D/an H/eng snzfic, H/S/R, ft. C/aelus)

anyway this is a valentine's post for @mochindayo !!!!!!! ur art is so good I wanna eat it and u deserve to have the best day ever every day!!! I hope you enjoy this fic I give as tribute to your amazingness :')
Caelus pressed on the button to open his door, wearily. It wasn’t like time was very clear if one were to look out the window, given that they were in space. Time itself was a little vague on the Astral Express. Nevertheless, he had been attempting to sleep for what felt like five years. Though to his exaggeratory mind, it was probably more like a few hours. But for some reason, his mind was running wild. No thought was consistent, only one random idea after another that captivated his attention and kept rest just out of arm’s reach. Eventually he got tired of trying, and decided to walk around the ship in hopes to tire out his body.
Or his mind, hopefully. Though it never really did seem to quiet down.
He walked past March’s room, and then Dan Heng’s. Just before he was about to turn the corner, he paused. He stepped backwards until he was in front of Dan Heng’s room again. Then back a few more steps to March’s. Then back to Dan Heng’s.
He likely would have seemed to be a lunatic in someone else’s eyes. But there was a strange feeling that he got when he walked past specifically Dan Heng’s room. An indescribable feeling. An emotion? Something that made him uneasy. Whatever it was, it made him pause. He reached a hand out, to test if the door was unlocked. It probably would be. Dan Heng’s ‘room’ was the archive, after all. And as private as he was, he didn’t really mind if someone came in without permission as long as it was for a good reason. Was feeling weird a good reason? Probably not, but who knows? Maybe Dan Heng was dying, or attacked, or something. Probably not. Unless Dan Heng refused to be loud even when dying.
Opening up the door, Caelus was relieved to see that Dan Heng was not dying. Though he expected the other to at least be asleep or something at this time(?) of night(?). But no, his fellow Nameless was up and about, at the archives, sorting through various documents and books they had collected over their journeys. Which, that was good, it wasn’t like Caelus could be bothered to remember every detail of all those wordy papers (he could barely stand to read a few sentences without getting bored) but when everyone else had already gone to bed? He could have done it earlier and avoided spending time with everyone.
Caelus had a feeling just standing there and not saying anything for an extended period of time would not give him any avoidance for creepiness, so he decided to speak up.
“Dan Heng?”
The other jumped, as if surprised by his presence. Kind of strange. The doors weren’t exactly quiet. Not a big deal though. Maybe he was just focused.
“Caelus…” Dan Heng muttered, relaxing. Maybe he was expecting an enemy too. Or for Caelus to be dying instead. In any case, he turned back to his work. “Is there something you need?”
Caelus stood for a moment. Not really. For the weird feeling to go away? But how was he supposed to describe that? “Uh… no,” he eventually replied. Dan Heng looked back at him, an eyebrow raised at his answer.
Silence stretched between them once again.
Caelus really had to stop chasing every feeling that interested him.
“Uh… so… still working? Y’know everyone else is asleep,” he finally spoke up again, the awkward energy starting to get to him.
“I could say the same to you,” Dan Heng responded coolly. It seemed like he dropped trying to figure out what Caelus was doing there, and instead turned back to the archives once more.
Caelus still felt weird. So, ignoring his own note-to-self, he approached to stare at Dan Heng’s work over his shoulder. To be honest, his eyes were so tired that the words sort of jumbled together into an incoherent mess. It was more so just to get his crew mate’s attention.
And get his attention it did. Dan Heng glanced over, turning to face Caelus again. “If you don’t need anything, why are you still here? You should be sleeping.”
“Y’know I could just… say the same thing to you, right?” Caelus replied, trying to keep an exhaustedly smug grin off his face. “You’re archiving this late? I didn’t know there was still stuff left to archive.”
“There’s always things left. Please leave me be. I have work to do,” Dan Heng requested again. Though, like he had the mind of a child, it was like being told to stop doing something just made the trailblazer want to do it more.
“I can help, if you want. I’m sure I can handle the, uh…” He picked up a random book, squinting at its title. “Underground Encyclopedia of Plants and Fungle.”
“Fungi. You’re not a child. You know how to read,” Dan Heng sighed in exasperation. Putting a hand to his head like the interaction was giving him a headache.
“Meh, close enough. C’mon, it’ll get done faster if we do it together.”
“It’s fine.”
“Look, I know you like it all to be perfect, but there’s gotta be some kind of autocorrect in this thing, right?”
“Please, Caelus, just leave me be.”
Dan Heng sounded desperate, which was strange. Typically Dan Heng would act annoyed but compliant, even more so when it came to March than him. But looking in the Nameless’ glassy eyes, it seemed like he was a few seconds away from begging.
Wait, glassy eyes? Oh, fuck. Was he actually dying? Was that his dying wish? His last words?
Caelus opened his mouth to apologize for making Dan Heng’s last moments so painful, when–
“heh’GKshu!” Dan Heng quickly turned away as soon as the sneeze rang through him. And suddenly Caelus realized that he wasn’t dying. In the traditional sense, anyway.
“Oh,” he said.
“What?” Dan Heng replied, turning back like nothing had happened at all.
“Uh, you’re sick?” Caelus stated, because it was obvious. After the evidence, anyway.
“I’m not,” Dan Heng immediately denied, turning his head away with arms crossed.
“Uh-huh.” Caelus’ eyes lidded disbelievingly, he had a small smirk on his face. “So why’re you still working, huh? To convince us that you’re not sick? Or to convince yourself? Because, just saying, I never would have seen you if I wasn’t already worried you were dying.”
Dan Heng scoffed. “Well, I’m definitely not dying.”
“You are sick, though.”
“heH’GXkshu!”
Dan Heng faced Caelus again after turning away to sneeze, about to protest for a second time. Caelus managed to shut it down before it started again.
“Yeah, yeah, you’re not sick, and the whole sneezing is just… a coincidence?” He waved his hand absently.
Dan Heng didn’t reply that time. His arguments had been effectively dismantled, and Caelus wasn’t stupid, just nonsensical most of the time.
He sighed, resting his head on an open palm, kept upright by the table. Caelus waited for a moment to see if anything more would be said, but he was met with silence. He took it as permission to carry out his plan.
He reached over and placed the back of his hand onto Dan Heng’s cheek, only to be met with his disapproving stare. “Wrong spot,” he muttered.
“Oh. Right,” Caelus recalled, moving his touch to the man’s forehead instead. He was met with a dry, hot temperature, something that he assumed was probably not good.
He pulled back, hands on his hips. “Yeah, in my very professional opinion, you should be in bed. Not at a desk.”
“But–”
“Nuh-uh, doctor’s orders, unless you want me to get a literal doctor in here.”
“Caelus–”
“I will call Natasha!” Caelus pulled out his phone, just to make his point entirely clear.
That seemed to shake the last of Dan Heng’s resolve. His shoulders lowered like he had given up all remaining fight. “Fine.”
Caelus smiled, pleased with his victory. “Good. Now, c’mon.” He took Dan Heng’s hand and started dragging him up without another thought.
“Wh- huh? My bed’s right there,” Dan Heng looked down at his blanket and pillow cluelessly, then back up and Caelus as he continued to be pulled away.
“Yeah, that’s not really a sickbed. Or a bed. Or anything other than a poor man’s attempt,” the trailblazer replied. “You need a real bed. A Trailblazer-patented bed, at that.”
Dan Heng sighed. “You’re ridiculous. There’s no changing your mind, is there?”
“The only person on this ship more stubborn than you is me.”
That was fairly accurate.
As soon as they had left Dan Heng’s room, its owner soon crumpled down into another sneeze.
“heH’IGHkshu! hih’GXKshih! hh- heh… hih-”
“Stuck?” Caelus wondered, glancing back at his companion. His expression was pained, one eye closed and the other watering. He panted, desperately waiting for the urge to take over once again, but it remained out of reach.
“Here,” the trailblazer spoke, opening the door to his room as the lights flickered on all at once. He dragged Dan Heng along with him. The result was immediate.
“hEH’KGhshu! heH’GKshih! heH- hIH’XGkhuh! huh…”
Dan Heng sighed in relief as the fit finally came to an end. He looked about fifteen shades brighter red, though whether that was from the fever or the embarrassment was anyone’s guess. Caelus, for all the satisfaction being helpful gave him, wasn’t exactly willing to let Dan Heng suffer for his weak fulfillment.
“Now, to bed with you.” He wrapped an arm around Dan Heng’s shoulders, practically carrying him the rest of the way to bed.
The other man had enough energy to cooperate by the time he was being lied down, allowing Caelus to tuck him in like a child despite his protests. He had to admit that it was comfier than his own room.
Caelus let out a breath, like he was exhausted from a workout. “Okay. Now, sleep.”
Dan Heng raised an eyebrow at him. “I can’t do that on command.”
“I’m pretty sure you can. You almost passed out as soon as we got in here.”
Had he? He must have been more tired than he thought.
“And where will you be sleeping? Sharing a bed with me wouldn’t be smart if I’m ill.”
“Yeah, ‘if,’” Caelus rolled his eyes. Then, he pointed his thumb down towards the ground. “The floor.”
Dan Heng stared for a moment. “...The floor.”
Caelus glanced to the side, then back to his companion. “...Why are you surprised? You do it.”
That couldn’t really be argued. For some reason it just felt inhumane when it came to his friend rather than him. Though that was something he could unpack another day.
“Try not to worry about it, Dan Heng. Maybe worry about yourself, for once. The rest of us are fine.” Caelus gave him a real, genuine and caring smile, before walking off towards what was probably a closet.
It was a bit hard to tell, his vision was starting to fade away, and unconsciousness was pulling at him. It was a little embarrassing to admit how relaxed he felt, in his friend’s room rather than his own.
But it gave him a feeling of safety.
And Caelus’ feeling had gone away too, he realized as he glanced back at Dan Heng’s sleeping form. He still didn’t quite have a name for it. Maybe… a feeling that something was wrong. But not just wrong in general. Something that was wrong with someone he cared about. And that was a feeling he wanted to hold onto.

Part 22 Straw Hats go to Dressrosa to stop Doflamingo! (Who has big plans for Reader)
You already have plans but I think it would be cool to see these things happen
Reader joins Luffy and Ace in the Area (Because she was stubborn)
When she was the walking and talking toys she actually felt very uncomfortable and that something is very wrong
They learning that the Area Prize is the Flame Flame Fruit! (Because when Reader brought Ace back to life she brought him back to life with his powers)
Reader meeting Sabo with Ace and Luffy and is in awe meeting her new brother (She’s sparkly eyed learning about her newest big brother)
When Robin was turned into a toy, what if Reader’s power was activated on her mind to prevent her memory of Robin from being ‘Erased’ and she’s just confused as to why everyone doesn’t remember ‘Mama’ (When Robin and everyone turned back to normal her horn stoped flaring)
I think it would be interesting since Sugar’s power affects memory when she turns people into toys, however if it’s someone that Reader knows then her power is activated on her own mind, preventing her memory from being wiped
Doflamingo intends to make Reader join his ‘Family’ as the Heart Suit (As her ability will be useful to him) as he learned what Caesar found out about her blood and wants her power
She brings Scarlet and Corazon back
Reader’s in awe seeing the little Tontattas and find them cute
Reader meets Bartolomeo (Or ‘Big Brother Barto’) and he swears to keep her safe
So much happens in Dressrosa I can’t keep track! 😭
-Arriving in Dressrosa was incredible for everyone! The city was massive, and it had been a long while since you had all been to such a large city.
-Despite everyone wanting to go out and have fun, Law had to be the bearer of bad news, warning and reminding everyone that Doflamingo was in charge here, and he had people everywhere.
-Nami was hesitant on letting you go onto the island, even in your disguise, as they didn’t want to risk your safety, but after you, unknowingly, giving her big pleading eyes, as you wanted to explore, she relented, allowing you to go with the group.
-Robin gave you a hat much like her own, only dark blue, and a large pair of heart shaped dark purple sunglasses that covered a good portion of your face. The two of you were matching, something you couldn’t help but beam at and Robin thought was adorable as everyone was wearing disguises, something Law insisted on, despite some of them being very bad.
-When a massive tournament was announced with a wonderful prize, none of your family was anticipating seeing your face on the poster, offering you as the grand prize for the tournament at the colosseum.
-Ace and Luffy were furious, wanting to immediately throw hands as you were hugging Usopp, who had immediately kneeled, panicking.
-Law realized that this was a ploy to capture you, “They must realize we’re here already. This is a trap so we should- OI YOU IDIOTS!!” He was quickly yelling at Ace and Luffy, who had grabbed you, running off to the colosseum so one of the two of them could win, to ensure your safety, but not before Luffy grabbed you and ran off with you!
-The others ran after them, but once inside the colosseum, there was no way out for the fighters. Luffy explained his genius plan, that if this was a trap to kidnap you, the safest place for you would be at the colosseum!
-Robin agreed, thinking that would be a smart choice, before her group agreed to research more of the other strange reports, like marines, government officials, other pirates, and other nobles from other kingdoms going missing.
-Robin showed her rare scary side, as she stared down both Ace and Luffy with a sweet smile on her face, “You promise to keep Y/N safe, right?” all four men, Ace, Luffy, Usopp, and Law, were all quickly intimidated by Robin, but they promised and you beamed brightly, “We’ll be back soon Mama!”
-She smiled at you, giving a small nod and everyone went their separate ways. However, it was amusing when your brother’s signed up, because they couldn’t use their actual names, so Luffy became Lucy, and Ace became Anne, which you thought was kind of funny, before they gave you the nickname Eri, which you loved as you got to match with them with new nicknames! Despite not fully knowing the reasoning behind it.
-Your big brothers wound up being in different rounds, so they wouldn’t be fighting against each other, which did work out so one of them could stay with you during the different rounds.
-Rebecca was so pretty, and she let you inspect her helmet after she bought Luffy and Ace each a lunch box, and you beamed, “It’s so shiny!” she couldn’t help but smile softly down at you, worried about you, seeing a child there, but Ace just gave her a firm nod, “She’s the safest with us right now.”
-Rebecca didn’t know the situation, but she didn’t question it as your brothers commented a lot on the different fighters, seeing so many strong ones. Ace cracked his knuckles, seeing Burgess there. Ace told you, as he walked away so he wouldn’t attack the taller man, that he was part of Blackbeard’s crew, who was the one who almost got Ace killed.
-Three men approached as you were watching the first round with Luffy, as Ace was in the first round, something he enjoyed, as you got to see him fighting without his Devil Fruit ability, as that would have given his identity away.
-The tallest of the men spoke to Luffy, revealing he knew exactly who he was, despite the disguise, explaining that he fought Garp many years ago, and Garp ruined his life, and now he and his grandchildren were going to take their anger out on Luffy!
-You had been on a bench when they started to attack, with other fighters yelling at them, as Luffy was doing his best to dodge the attacks, telling him to knock it off, and that he was the wrong person.
-You gasped, seeing your big brother being attacked, and as Chinjao charged, you called out, running into the way as shouts filled the air, seeing a child, “Please don’t hurt my big brother!”
-Your glasses were folded and down the front of your shirt, as you were having issues seeing inside, as it was a bit too dark for you, so your face was revealed as your large tear-filled eyes were looking up at him, silently pleading with him, Sai, and Boo to not hurt Luffy.
-They froze, seeing this tiny child willing to defend her big brother, and as the first tear fell, instantly they were all on their knees, trying to console you, apologizing, their vibe instantly going from scary to soft as you sniffled softly, trying to stop your tears. At least Chinjao knew who you were, but he kept it quiet, not wanting anyone else to know so you wouldn’t be at risk.
-It was amusing when Ace arrived back, winning his match, seeing a room full of rough looking fighters all acting goofy, trying to make you smile as you were in Luffy’s arms.
-You were learning what Garp had done as you were holding onto Chinjao’s hand, or at least one of his fingers, “So grandpa made you sad?” your cheeks immediately puffed up in a pout, glaring lightly, angry for him which instantly caused heart related issues as people all over the room collapsed from cuteness.
-You told Chinjao, “I’ll call grandpa and I’ll ask him to apologize. Everyone should apologize when they do something wrong, right?” As you asked this, you looked at Luffy who beamed brightly, telling you that was correct.
-After Luffy fought, winning his match, returning Chinjao’s head to normal, which looked pointy and made him even taller, you got to meet two new people after Luffy made it back to you both.
-The first was a man who looked like a chicken, with a bright green mohawk, who called you Y/N-senpai, knowing exactly who you were.
-His name was Bartolomeo and he beamed, getting to meet his idols, as he told Luffy that he joined because when he saw you were the prize, he had to win so he could save you and return to your family, unaware that it was a ruse by Doflamingo, but Luffy could tell that he was a good person as you were holding onto his hand, looking at his painted nails while he was gushing that you were holding his hand.
-The second man was someone that Ace and Luffy both knew, and you were wide-eyed as they rushed to him, embracing him while ugly crying. Sabo was so warm and kind, hugging both of them, so happy to see them again.
-You were a little shy as Sabo kneeled, removing his hat, “And who is this?” Luffy beamed brightly kneeling beside you, “This is our little sister- Y/N!” If he was more surprised he didn’t show it as he gave you a warm smile as Ace spoke, “And Y/N, this is Sabo, he’s our third brother!”
-Your eyes went huge, immediately sparkling as Sabo quickly fell, clutching at his chest, “Really? I have another big brother?” and Koala didn’t hesitate to take blackmail pictures, thinking it was adorable.
-It was about a half hour later and you were crying, your hands clutching at the end of your dress as a super tall man walked into the room you had been put, after all the fighters were being attacked, pulled in by a sticky man that made your skin crawl, Trebol.
-You didn’t know where any of your big brothers were, as you had been ripped from Luffy’s arms, screaming out for him.
-This new man was very tall, wearing glasses over his eyes and had a huge fluffy pink coat. He introduced himself as Donquixote Doflamingo, and you knew the name, as Law had been saying this was a dangerous person.
-Doflamingo had smiled wickedly, seeing you there, as he knew from Caesar what you were able to do, not only naturally, with your unusual ability, but also your blood.
-After Law had destroyed the lab, making sure every piece of research that had been collected, including the blood vials, had been destroyed, Doflamingo was furious, until he realized that you and the rest of the Straw Hats would be coming to Dressrosa.
-He knew that your family would take the bait on offering you as a prize in the tournament, as it would make them not think clearly, and he had been proven right, as your brothers had basically delivered you right to him.
-He picked you up by the back of your dress, letting you dangle as he laughed, “You are quite the surprise, Y/N.” you sniffled softly, your eyes piercing into his own, despite being hidden by glasses, “Mister Dof-Dof…Mister Flamingo, where’s my big brothers?”
-Doflamingo was stunned stiff, seeing your tears, hearing your words, mainly only what you had called him, as he had a sudden flashback of Corazaon, who would always call him big brother.
-Only moments later, Doflamingo had you in his arms, holding you carefully, properly as he smiled down at you, “You’re going to join my family Y/N. Let’s see- you’re cute so how about the Heart Suite!”
-You were a little confused, holding onto his fluffy coat as he held you like a little doll, “But… I have a family, my big brothers and sisters, and mama!” He just ignored your words, choosing only what he wanted to hear, “You can call me big brother! And I’ll introduce you to everyone else!”
-Your instincts were telling you that he was dangerous, so you behaved, not wanting to do anything to upset him as he took you into a large room where lots of other people were, introducing you as the newest member of the family!
-You saw Law, but he was hurt as your eyes went wide, but he caught your eyes, silently telling you to be quiet, which you did. Doflamingo sat you down on his own chair so the others could greet you, many of them commenting on how tiny and cute you were, including Sugar who was elated to have someone her own size now.
-She had to leave not long after, to go back to work as Doflamingo lounged around, as he wanted your family to come to try to save you, so he could take them out so you would have no choice but to join his family!
-When Luffy and Ace arrived, shouting at Doflamingo to let you and Law go, your horn surprised everyone by suddenly growing, being covered by the aura as you looked confused, reaching a hand up to touch it.
-Doflamingo chose to ignore it for the moment as he chuckled, “Your plan to take out Sugar failed, Nico Robin is a toy now!” You froze, hearing this but tears welled as you saw everyone’s confusion as Luffy spoke, “Who’s Robin?”
-Law spoke to you while Viola ran over, holding a key to Law’s cuffs, telling you that Sugar had the ability to change others into sentient toys, but when they get changed, the memories of those changed are lost to others. You could remember her no problem as he theorized your ability activated when you realized that she was in danger, so you were able to remember whoever Doflamingo was talking about, while they didn’t.
-Ace and Luffy managed to throw Doflamingo out, who strategically retreated to call upon the family, as he watched in horror, seeing toys returning to normal, your horn also returning to normal, showing that Sugar had been taken out!
-After you unlocked Law’s shackles, being the only one there without a Devil Fruit ability, seeing the Sea Stone cuffs, Ace glared slightly, knowing that they needed to take Doflamingo out and Luffy agreed.
-The plan was for them to meet in a specific place, and Luffy trusted Viola with getting you to Robin, as she knew the back streets, which she agreed to. You didn’t want to be apart from them again, hugging Viola tightly, but she did her best to keep you calm.
-She told you of Scarlett, and what had happened to Dressrosa all those years ago, including what happened to Rebecca’s mother Scarlett, who was Viola’s younger sister. Your eyes were big and sparkly as she hid around a corner, trying to get you to the flower fields, after you both saw Robin flying overhead, “Are you and Rebecca princesses then?” She couldn’t help but giggle, thinking you were cute, as she told you that they could be, but they had to take care of Doflamingo first.
-At the flower fields, you were reunited with Robin and a man who was dressed like a prince and Bartolomeo as your eyes were sparkly, “It’s a prince! Mama it’s a real prince!!” Cavendish adored your praise, posing for you as you squealed happily.
-When the group was attacked again, Robin put herself in front of you, glaring hard at the opponent who blew his hat off, you didn’t know his name, before she spoke to Bartolomeo, “Will you take Y/N and get her to safety?”
-He seemed stunned by her request before he immediately grinned, creating a staircase out of barriers with his ability, as he and Cavendish stood in front of her, the two easily blowing the unknown man back, “Take Y/N and run, Robin-senpai!” she picked you up and ran with Viola, sending him a wink as you waved, “Bye-bye big brother Barty! Bye-bye Prince Cabbage!”
-While Cavendish was in anguish over his name, as you had trouble saying it, Bartolomeo had fallen to his knees, large tears flowing from his cheeks as light shined down upon him, as if he had done everything in his life worth doing, being your big brother!
-Robin did her best to protect you, as more members of the family appeared with the intent on taking you from her, and when she was trapped, Leo, who appeared, “Take Y/N and run!”
-You looked back, scared for Robin, who gave you a firm nod as you followed Leo, running. You learned that he was a Tontatta, a race that you could only describe as fairies, which you adored, holding Leo in your hands as he guided you through a forest to safety.
-Leo told you to stop and you gasped, seeing Law hurt, one of his arms off, while he was trying to stand, as Luffy and Ace were fighting against Doflamingo, all of them hurt.
-Leo took to the skies, looking for a safe way away from the area before he gasped as you ran for Law, “Big brother!” Ace and Luffy froze, hearing you there as Law turned, looking panicked, telling you to run.
-Law lunged, sensing Doflamingo charging to grab you, and he took a hard hit to the back as he covered you, keeping Doflamingo from grabbing you, who was sneering down, “You’re just like Corazon- weak!” You were in shock, your eyes wide as your brothers charged, getting him away from you as you hugged Law’s head.
-Law told you about Corazon, who was Doflamingo’s younger brother, who was killed protecting Law so many years ago. You felt so sad for Law, hearing how this man, Corazon, had died to protect him, just like how he had protected you just now.
-The first sob ripped from your throat as you hugged Law and he felt the wave of energy flow through him as you healed him, reattaching his arm and healing his wounds before they all froze, seeing two figures reforming from nothing.
-Corazon kneeled beside Law, who was stunned, seeing him there as tears welled as Scarlette gasped as you swooned, catching you as you developed a fever and fainted.
-Luffy and Ace were both now furious, seeing that you had been pushed so hard to not only heal Law but bring two people back from the dead.
-Scarlette took you and ran after Law and Corazon turned to face Doflamingo alongside Luffy and Ace, as he was now furious, looking almost unhinged.
-Scarlette was stunned to find not only Kyros, but Rebecca and Viola as well, all of them banged up, but safe and sound, as they all gaped, seeing her there, seeing her alive again! With you included (despite being unconscious), as they shared a family hug, all of them crying, being reunited at last.
-After discussing your condition, Viola told them how she knew of your ability to heal others, but there had been a rumor, after you had revived Ace and Whitebeard, that you could bring others back from the dead, and many were trying to stop that rumor, not wanting it to spread.
-A new voice spoke up, “You’re right.” They turned, seeing Sanji there, who looked beat up, smoking quietly as he looked relieved, seeing you there, knowing that you must have done something reckless again as Scarlette passed you to your brother after Viola vouched for him.
-Sanji told them to get to safety, as something big was coming, sensing Luffy and Ace’s power, and he took off towards the ship after getting word from Robin that he needed to take Nami and the others on the ship and they would meet up on Zou.
-Chopper and Nami took care of you while you were recovering, finding out what had happened between Sanji and you, once you were awake, and they were amazed so much had happened, but they were glad to hear that you hadn’t been hurt, just kidnapped and scared, and overdoing it with your ability again, but they didn’t scold you, just making you rest instead.
-You thought about all the new fun people you had met on Dressrosa, you wished that you had been able to say goodbye to all of them, as they had been helping everyone.
-As you sat on Sanji’s lap as you ate, holding up an apple slice to him, Brook was sitting next to you, telling you of the next destination, Zou, which was a giant walking elephant, which made your eyes sparkle brightly!
-When you asked about Luffy and the others, Nami told you not to worry about them, as they were going to meet your group on Zou, so you all would wait there for them, and you nodded, hoping they wouldn’t take too long.

Eris Oyster
My wizard pirate for @iijadraws one-shot sea adventure
She was a professor at a university where she scammed some grant money and used mmmm some of the university’s budget to build a fancy new ship for her personal use. She had to take a tactical leave from the university after her affairs came to light, but she got away with her ship. Then she only had to hire a crew and start to captain her new ship (something she had no experience with, but hey, it didn’t go too badly).
