you know what would be hella funny? a fic where, when ant adopts eryn temporarily to win a court case, he never unadopts him and then is forced into doing actual guardianship bullshit except he's a depressed stoner in his early twenties who isn't ready to be a father because he spends most of his time running around in a catmaid costume tricking people into selling their souls, and eryn is a seventeen year old on the verge of becoming a legal adult who hasn't had a parental figure in his life in years and doesn't even remember what it's like

c!tubbo really is the only dsmp character who's gotten anything close to proper healing HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUT

OBVIOUSLY c!tubbo has...just ridiculous amounts of trauma. and obviously that can't just be brushed under the rug or ignored. obviously. he tried that, actually, and it didn't work. so he set about doing it the proper way, intentionally or otherwise.

like, think about it. festival trauma? he got his apology from c!techno, a genuine one, and c!techno even proved that he was alright by going with him to avenge ranboo and lock up c!sam. final control room trauma has the same deal. that wouldn't be immediately solved, but it's safe to assume that over time those apologies really did actually help with him feeling some sort of closure, furthering his healing process.

he's probably one of the only characters that's actually gone through the five stages of grief properly! think about it -- all other characters that have lost someone through death have either looked for a replacement OR had a ghost replacement. a ghost sounds great to have, but it immediately halts the grieving process by having a constant living reminder of the person that you lost. c!tubbo may have taken out his anger in unfair ways (ie killing c!aimsey), but the fact that he has totally distanced himself from ghostboo has DEFINITELY helped him actually have closure about c!ranboo's death, to the point of him not even mentioning c!ranboo while they were talking about revival.

by living alone and interacting only with who he WANTS to interact with, c!tubbo has actually managed to heal the most out of a good chunk of people on the smp. it's absolutely no wonder he was so shocked by c!tommy's violently deteriorating state, how he was desperately grabbing for this last sliver of closure -- but, of course, c!tubbo knows how important closure is, and c!tommy is his best friend, so he said he would literally give his life to help. c!eryn also clearly bothered him, too, but that one would probably bother anyone lol

i'm not saying c!tubbo is completely trauma-free or anything (i heard him say he thought exile was his fault DON'T THINK I MISSED THAT), but it was really interesting to see how concerned he was for c!tommy's wellbeing in a way that made it seem as if he had gone through this but had already healed and he was very concerned about how long it was taking tommy and how he had turned to a worse path. very cool i love c!tubbo
