“STUFFED DOLLS WERE NAZIS AT BOWMANVILLE ROLL CALL,” Toronto Star. April 18, 1942. Page 2.

Papier Mache Figures Fool Guards at Parades for 10 to 24 Hours
---
ONE OF TWO SOUGHT
----
Two stuffed dummies with papier mache faces and lips painted red were paraded at roll call in the Nazi officers' internment camp at Bowmanville while Erie Boehle and Peter Krug made good their escape yesterday. This ruse, said to have been used by the Germans here on at least one other occasion, was successful due to painstaking work on the dummies.
The faces were moulded from wet paper. From a distance they were indistinguishable from a Nazi officer. For from 10 to 24 hours. it is these took the places of the escapees. Supported in the roll-call line-up, others spoke for the absentees. How the pair escaped is a mystery. None of the wire entanglements was cut, it is said.
Erich Boehle. 27-year-old Nazi flier, who was caught in Niagara Falls, N.Y, yesterday, was back behind barbed wire today while search continued for Peter Krug 21. another German airman, still at large. Absence of the two prisoners of war was reported Friday morning at at the Bowmanville officers' camp. although Boehle told Niagara Falls authorities he had escaped "several” days ago.
After Boehle had been caught yesterday in Whirlpool Park, along the Niagara river, a Niagara Falls, Ont. woman excitedly telephoned police to tell them she believed she had unwittingly played hostess to the escaped prisoner Wednesday night.
She a man answering the German's description had come to her home asking for something to eat, stating he had been refused food at a neighboring house. The woman said she took him in and gave him bread and jam.
May Have Swum River
Boehle's clothing-s gray suit resembling a uniform which roused the suspicions of police who picked him up was soaking wet when he was arrested. This led to belief that he may have crossed from Canada to the US by by swimming the lower Niagara river. An intensified search is being continued along the border on the possibility that Krug also may have crossed or be planning to cross the river to the U.S.
Both prisoners were in a group of 200 brought from Britain last week. When he was arrested Boehle is said to have denied having any knowledge of Krug's whereabouts. Boehle told authorities he was shot down over England in September, 1940. and escaped once before into New Brunswick.
Boehle was picked up by scout car police who were suspicious of his clothing. He produced papers which he claimed identified him as a member of the Royal Norwegian Air Force. in training at Toronto. but the papers were found to be bogus. The prisoner then admitted his identity.
Officers at RNA.F. headquarters here emphasized that the papers bore no resemblance to official R.N.A.F. papers.
"The R.N.A.F.” would like to make this point clear," the statement said. “The papers papers found on Boehle were completely fraudulent and not even similar to our identification papers. so they could not have been copies. We wish to correct any impression that this German could have had access to Norwegian papers in the forging of the ones he carried."
Posed for Pictures
Boehle, a blond, thick-set air force lieutenant, smilingly posed for pictures in the Niagara Falls. N.Y... police headquarters before being brought back across the border. He was driven across the Rainbow bridge in Canadian military ear. Krug is described follows: 137 as pounds, 5 feet 8 inches in height. medium build, fair complexion. clean shaven, blond wavy hair cut military style, brown eyes. medium mouth, normal teeth.

Okay but why did Jaskier have two spoons in the prison in season two? Did the prison meal just... come with two spoons? Did he barter with a guard for a second one? Has he been there long enough to have multiple meals with multiple spoons??

everyone freaking out over the theories of roier being part of the federation and how cellbit would divorce roier when he found out, just for cellbit to be like "damn, me too, except they torture me with chainsaws and they give u flowers, anyway here's how we're going to manipulate them together"

Danny ends up out of amity and does his hero thing. Only because the ghost have realized they can leave amity. They want to explore and cause chaos all over the earth.
The local heros take notice.
Danny doesn’t handle people questioning him well. So he just goes intangible and sinks into the ground when he gets confronted. All while staying visible just awkwardly waving.
This happens over and over to many heros. There is a betting pool in the league who will see him next and who will eventually get him to talk.

"Fugitives Go Shopping In Village Dodge Police In 'Pea Soup' Mist," Toronto Star. October 28, 1943. Page 33.
---
Special to The Star
Guelph, Oct. 28 - Rifle shots rang out in Morriston village last night. Four escaped inmates of the Guelph Reformatory were playing a game of hide and seek with provincial police and guards in a "pea soup" mist. Dense bushland and large swamp areas hindered the posse.
Residents of Morriston last night reported that the men were walking up and down the main street talking with children and making chases in one of the village stores. At high speed, police headed into the village from all directions; systematically combed every house and backyard in the rain and mist.
The inmates had tried to steal a car but couldn't get it started.
Provincial Constable Philip Seibert, of Guelph, heard running footsteps in the mist. He fired in the direction of the sounds and gave chase, but in vain.
The swamp area was quickly surrounded and police stood guard all night, intending to make a concentrated search in daylight.
The escaped prisoners are Norman Pringle, 20, Oshawa; George Whitefoot, 17; and Lyle Banks, 18, Sarnia; and Lawrence Johnson, 19, Windsor. Two are in army uniform, stolen from the prison laundry.

So I'm confused about something. There was a cover story about Ms Goldenweek and other Baroque works agents breaking Crocodile out of prison but he just. Told them no? And stayed there with Mr 1 and Mr 2? I don't get why he wanted to go to Impel Down just to break out when he had the chance
I can't tell you 100% why Crocodile chose to stay in prison and go to Impel Down, but my best guess really is that he was just...
Taking the L with grace
More specifically. Crocodile had lost everything. I think deep inside he might've been literally too depressed to want to go free again.
Like he does literally say that. He gave up.
He had been building his reputation as "the Hero of Alabasta" for at least 10 years at this point. He had built not just a criminal organization that he had been running for four years, but also he had been running legal business stuff (like his casino) for probably longer than that.
A decade's worth of work and effort to take over a country, and most importantly, get away with it. The reason he had orchestrated that whole rebellion was so that the rebels and the royal family could "take each other out", leaving the country wide open for a World Government Official such as himself to take up. The reason Baroque Works was doing this all in secret was so that the WG never found out, otherwise they wouldn't have let him have Alabasta.
But indeed, his plans were foiled by a kid in flipflops in less than 24 hours, just at the final moment before Crocodile would win. He lost everything. And the World Government found out about what he had been planning.
So even if he escaped from that prison with his former agents, what was he going to do?
He wouldn't be able to take over Alabasta anymore because he did not have manpower (as he had lost all his goons), and having lost his financial empire he wouldn't be able to build a new army any time soon. And even if he did, now that they knew what he had done the people of Alabasta would not accept him as their new king, even if he personally assasinated Cobra and the entire family.
Not to mention, the WG finding out about his plans meant that they had every fucking reason to try and stop Crocodile if he did as much as set foot on that island again. By which I mean, they could launch a Buster Call on his ass. Send all the fucking Admirals after him.
And so, even if Crocodile still believed Pluton was somewhere in Alabasta and that he just had to comb through the entire desert to find it... Between the Alabastan people and the WG in the way, finding Pluton would not be easy. Especially when Robin wouldn't even be there to just point him directly to it. It could take years, if not decades, while fighting off the WG by himself.
And that's while assuming Pluton was somewhere in Alabasta. Like WE the readers now know Pluton is in Wano, but since Robin didn't tell him that. All Robin said was that the Poneglyph "didn't mention the weapon", and Cobra's reaction to the name merely proved the weapon's existence in Crocodile's mind. But surely, because Crocodile is a smart young man, he'd understand there was a risk that Pluton could exist, but just not be in Alabasta, right? Like that would be a possibility too, right?
I think this is why Crocodile has given up on Alabasta. He had one opportunity at seizing the country, and he failed. And without Robin, he could spend the rest of his life combing through a haystack for a needle when there's no needle, and he'd have no idea. I think is why he explicitly says in Impel Down he no longer has "interest in that country". He won't be able to pull off another stunt like this, ever.
And that leads us back to "why not escape earlier and avoid going to Impel Down to begin with".
Thanks to his status as a Shichibukai, Crocodile hasn't been on the run from the WG for like two decades. And the past 10 or so years he has seemingly lived a life of luxury in his funny little casino. But now, having lost everything, he'd be back on the run. And because he's a world famous former "hero of the people", there would be nowhere he'd be able to go where people would not recognize him and send the marines after him.
So he'd be on the run, for the rest of his life or until he'd get capture again. And mind you, the guy does not trust anyone, so he'd be on the run alone. Without any purpose or goal.
And you might be thinking, "Daz and the rest of BW was still there!", yeah, arguably true. But at this point Crocodile had no reason to trust any of them.
Like personally, I think the reason Crocodile ended up taking a liking to Daz was BECAUSE he chose to follow him to Impel Down when he really did not have to. Like Daz showed an unusual level of loyalty to Crocodile, and I think Crocodile recognized that. That's why Daz is still with Croc, post-timeskip.
But Miss Goldenweek and co? Crocodile had no reason to believe they wouldn't betray him if given a chance and a reason. And if the WG would come chasing his ass, they'd have plenty of reason to try and betray Croc (handing Crocodile over to spare their own lives).
Not to mention, when they come release their former boss from jail, what did Miss Goldenweek say?
"Let's do Baroque Works again"
As I've already explained in detail, I think we might know why Crocodile wasn't interested in being Baroque Works' "boss" again.
So. Yeah. If in Crocodile's mind he'd be on the run from the Government for the first time in two decades all alone, in a situation where rebuilding what he had before would be bloody hard if not downright impossible, and he wouldn't be able to obtain what he had spent the last decade working for regardless...
Taking the L and just going to prison might've been the easier option

I was driving home and just listening to my music when inspiration attacked me. I'm an avid country/folk/bluegrass music enjoyer (fight me) and a song from one of my favorite bands came on...
Anyway,, I started brainstorming, and I have chronic "make au and then aus of that au" syndrome and now we are here;
DANNY PHANTOM AU(S)!!!
Lock-down -> you know how Amity is constantly described as not being on the maps? That, now make it worse, the GiW has taken over the town and it's now basically a prison (this one is not fully made because monkey brain liked the other one better)
Allegheny -> fully based off the song lmao, Danny is born in raised in an isolated town. The town is run by the GiW who have been a thing the entire time. The town isn't that much different, the kids go to school, the ghosts still attack. The Fenton's work for the GiW but so does every adult so it's not like they're special. The kids don't like their tyrannical town government (think hunger games the capital visiting the districts, think internment camps, combind them in a blender) everyone is exhausted but it's like, they are in the middle of nowhere, they have no access to the outside, and ghost are attacking so like - are the GiW really in the wrong? Every house is the same but the Fenton's still have a lab in the basement, Danny's accident still happeneds, but everyone knows about ghosts and no one trusts them (think the red scare.) Phantom is born from desperation, Danny sort of bought into the GiW propaganda, but becoming a ghost really changed his perspective. His new goal is to escape, after all, you either work the factory line, man the truck stop gas stations, and join the white suits.
I'm eating Allegheny AU,, I'm gonna write more for it methinks, later though because I have homework and work work and I also have to sleep unfortunately,,, brainrot spreads...

How being a Luffy fan in the One Piece universe must work:
Luffy fan: Monkey D. Luffy's great
Non-Luffy fan: He's a convicted prisoner who broke out of prison and is one of the world governments most wanted people
Luffy fan: *wistful sigh* I know
