Random headcanon thoughts...

Steve & Bucky really like watching The Golden Girls because it reminds them of the 40's.

They use a lot of Glenn Miller's music on the show, in particular Moonlight Serenade. Songs they remember hearing when they were first released.

Steve may now have a crush on Betty White, but let's be honest who doesn't.

Bucky's favorite is Sophia. It makes him think of his ma.

Dorothy being from Brooklyn makes them a little homesick when they do flashbacks.

They both like to think they would have lived together like the girls if everything else hadn't happened.

Bucky knows he probably would have been Blanche.

Steve is most definitely a Rose.

Since they discovered The Golden Girls, they have also binge watched The Carol Burnett Show, Mama's Family, and Maude. Basically, anything with Bea, Betty, Rue, or Estelle in it.

Pregnant Percabeth going to a parenting class <3

Percy was sure that Annabeth hated sitting in that classroom as much as he did. A middle-aged woman was showing the class how to swaddle a baby. Although Annabeth seemed to be paying attention, Percy knew that she was counting the seconds to leave. “I don’t think we really need to be here. We know everything she’s going to tell us.” He whispered to her.

“Better overprepared than caught off guard.”

As the weeks were passing, he felt less anxious about their upcoming life change. He already had plenty of experience with newborn Estelle and the fact that he had his mum made him more at ease. “We’ll be caught off guard, love.” Annabeth’s shoulders tensed. “But as long as they don’t team up against us, we should be fine.” He comforted her.

“Just pay attention to the class.” She whispered back.

“Alright, miss Chase.” Percy couldn’t see her expression, but he knew that she was trying to contain her smile.

When the hour was over, Percy was ready to bolt out of the building. He helped Annabeth get up as her 24-week baby bump was messing up her body balance. “Want to go order take-out?” He asked as she was putting on her coat.

“The neighbour was making Pad Thai last night and I really wanted some Pad Thai at 2 am. I woke up craving it like crazy.”

“I’ll get you Pad Thai, love,” Percy said and placed his hand around her waist. Annabeth leaned closer to him as they started making their way out.

A blonde woman bumped into them. “Hi, I’m Carol. I don’t think we’ve met before. I’ve seen you a couple of times around before, but you always left before I got the chance to come over and introduce myself.” She laughed. Annabeth was a bit better at faking nice than Percy. And that was because she had to tolerate horrible people while working. Not for any other reason at all.

“Yes, we’ve got a very busy schedule. I’m Annabeth and this is my husband Percy.” Annabeth shook her hand.

Percy followed her suit. “Nice to meet you.”

Carol looked at them like she was scanning them. “Do you have any other kids?”

Great, they were going to play twenty questions with a random woman in their parenting class.

“No-“

“The first one is always an adventure.” She chuckled. “How far along you are?”

“24 weeks.”

Carol put her hand on her chest. “Oh dear, I would have thought that you were due any day.”

Percy put his hand on Annabeth’s shoulder, mostly to contain himself from throwing punches. Annabeth didn’t need to hear any of her snarky comments. He didn’t want to listen to her snarky comments. “We’re having twins.”

“That’s wonderful. You should put them in matching outfits. They’re going to be adorable! All cute and perfect. Except when they’re crying or throwing up or making a mess of your house.” Carol said in a harsher tone.

“How far along are you?” Annabeth asked her.

“I’m 20 weeks along with my sweet angel number 5. This is going to be Billy Jones Jr.” She laughed as she clutched her baby bump.

“Well, congratulations.” Annabeth wanted to leave. Carol was stressing her out and she really wanted some Pad Thai. “It was great meeting you. Now, Percy and I have another place to be at.”

Before Carol managed to say anything else, they were already walking out of the building. “Who’s even body-shaming a pregnant woman these days?” Percy said fuming.

“She probably doesn’t have anything better to do with her life, right now,” Annabeth replied as she buckled her seatbelt. “And she’s probably jealous of my handsome husband.”

“Have I met him?” Percy asked smugly trying to lighten the mood.

“I don’t think so. He wouldn’t be pleased to know about you.” She took her hair out of the low messy bun she had made earlier. “He loves me too much and doesn’t like other guys that look at me.”

“That sounds right. Now, food.”

30 minutes later, they were back in their apartment eating out of the take-out boxes. “I think we should set some ground rules about our kids,” Annabeth confessed.

“What do you have in mind?”

“First of all, there’s no way in hell that I’m letting them have matching outfits. Never. Only over my dead body.” She took a spoonful of noodles. “I don’t want them to be like the creepy twins from ‘The Shining.”

Percy grinned at her last comment. “They’re not going to be like the creepy twins from The Shining, love. That should be the least of your worries. First of all, they aren’t both girls.”

She arched her eyebrow. “Very funny.”

“What’s number two on your list?” He asked her, curious about her response.

“We’re not having ‘Junior’ in our kid’s name.” She stated.

“So, I should remove Percy and Annabeth Jr from the list?” He smiled.

“Percy.” She arched her eyebrow and looked in his direction like she was ready to throw a chopstick at him.

“I totally agree with you. Always on your side. Your needs are my duty.”

“Alright, my knight in shining armour.” Annabeth grinned.

Percy put away his plate and sat next to his wife. “So, you admit that I am your knight in shining armour.”

"Stop it. You’re making me an even worse hormonal mess. Maybe you could put those big muscles to use and give me a massage. Thing one and thing two are wreaking havoc inside me.” She proposed leaving her plate on the coffee table.

“Now, they’re thing one and thing two?” Percy asked as he started massaging her back.

“As long as they keep kicking me like that they lose their rights as human beings.” Percy kept massaging her until he hit a sensitive muscle that made Annabeth relax. “Right there.”

“Maybe they aren’t big fans of Pad Thai noodles.”

“Then, they don’t have a taste.”

“Do you want me to bring you the Moose tracks ice cream?”

“It works with only one of them. And I don’t like it. Although, I keep eating it. When I find out which one of the two loved it, they’ll never hear the end of it.” She stated.

“Is that an official statement?”

“Yes, I’ve been eating that ice cream for 6 months without wanting to. And I can’t drink my wine. What’s the point of having a wine fridge if neither of us can drink right now? Oh, God.” She groaned as he found another sensitive spot.

“I’ll buy you all the wine you want.”

“And proper sushi.” She added.

“Absolutely.”

“And a couple massages.”

“Everything you want. I hope they have your eyes,” Percy confessed, which made Annabeth turn to face him.

“What?”

“I hope they have your eyes. The fiercest and most loving eyes in the whole world.” Also, the eyes he fell in love with. The eyes that saved him and make him want to wake up every day. Annabeth didn’t know what to reply. She stared lovingly to his side. “Did I say something wrong?”

“No, it’s just I can’t wait to meet them. And hold them.” Annabeth confessed smiling. “I’m going through this crucifying and painful journey that’s been sucking all of my energy. I just want to watch what kind of people they will become.” She felt her eyes watering. Those pregnancy hormones. “They aren’t even here yet and I love them so much.”

Percy pulled her close to him and kissed her forehead.

Personality:

Melody at first seems to have a closed off personality mostly keeping to herself as she doesn’t open to others quiet easily, Orion was the first to see her break this shell. Trust is key for her so she might become wary of you at first glance but let her get to know you and she’ll come to. Like her trust, kindness also is key for her, and she doesn’t give it out willingly. Melody has been known to snap, from Orion experience, and she doesn’t back down. Once you push her buttons, she will fight with you. Some would say she’s emotional and its possibly true due to her holding back her feelings to others because she feels their emotions are more important than how she feels, but due to that she does eventually explode and its no one fault, but her own for not speaking up. She wears her heart on her sleeve always going to help others despite how she feels currently because she believes other people happiness, friends included, is more important to her than her own happiness.

Melody was raised by both her parents for a while before her mother decided to disappear and never came back. Around the age of 7 her and her father moved to Gridania, after an incident with a male Au ra took advantage of Melody when she was 6, where her father later met his now and current wife. Melody was very hesitant of her new mother even bringing her hell due to the new change. It only around 10 when she finally got use to her, but she still never called her mom or mother. Her new mother was pretty the best thing that her and her father ever had even if at times she did feel like she couldn’t do anything right around Melody because they weren’t the same race, but as time went on, they realized they were one of the same personality wise and bonded over festivals, her stepmother was the reason she took up being a bard.

When Melody was finally an adult she made a friend, her name was Orion. She was the one who approached her first cause Melody kept closing herself off, she was also the reason she got her to join the rest of the team, soon friends, when she found out she also possessed an echo. Melody was still intimidated by the team but loosen up when she saw she wasn’t the only Au ra, however despite being the same race her and Kirsten didn’t socialize for a while. Carol was the first to approach and greeted her even went as far as introducing the others, first being Melanie, Keres, Hinata and Kirsten. She did make a slight jab of saying “and you’ve already met Orion.” In hopes that Melody would loosen up. This was the beginning of her journey that she’ll never forget.

Elizabeth Hubbard (December 22, 1933 – April 8, 2023) Television, stage and film actress, recognized for her role as Althea Davis on the NBC daytime soap opera, The Doctors (1964–1978, 1981–1982), for which she received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1974, and as businesswoman Lucinda Walsh on the CBS soap opera, As the World Turns (1984–2010) for which she received eight Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Hubbard also received another Emmy Award for playing former First Lady Edith Wilson in the television film First Ladies Diaries: Edith Wilson (1976).

Hubbard began her screen career in 1962, starring as Anne Fletcher on the soap opera Guiding Light. The following year, she joined the cast of The Edge of Night as Carol Kramer. In 1964, she inaugurated the role of Dr. Althea Davis on NBC's year-old soap opera The Doctors. Hubbard played the role until October 1969, when she left to pursue a career in Hollywood. She returned to the role as of October 1, 1970 and continued the role until 1977. She returned again in 1981 and remained with the show until its cancellation in 1982. In 1974, Hubbard was awarded the first Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Hubbard's pairing with the character of Dr. Nick Bellini (Gerald Gordon) made them one of the most popular romantic couples in soap operas, dominating the show's storyline during the later half of the 1960s and for most of the 1970s.

After The Doctors was cancelled, Hubbard joined the cast of One Life to Live in the recurring role of society matron Estelle Chadwick. In 1984, she joined As the World Turns as businesswoman Lucinda Walsh. She was nominated nine times for a Daytime Emmy for the role. Hubbard left the program in 1999 due to a disagreement over the character's direction, but was persuaded to return several months later by the show's new executive producer. Hubbard was featured in a prominent storyline in 2005 when her character was diagnosed with cancer. She was in the show's 50th anniversary episode in April 2006, and remained with the show until its final episode in September 2010.  (Wikipedia)
