♇ those who belong to the ESTJ archetype are people who can be deemed as cordial, as someone who pushes their methods and rules to other people. they are people who are directive and straightforward.

MBTI Grip: Fi

An explaination on Fi grip in MBTI. Not an expert. May change later.

Grips occur when a type is under an immense amount of stress. Their other functions give up mentally and "shut down", which allows their inferior function to take over. A type in the grip begins to act like the unhealthy version of their inferior function, very unlike and opposite of themselves. Grips can last for a short while or longer, depending on how long the stress persists.

Fi inferior (ExTJ)

Fi inferior types do not allow their personal values and morals to get in the way of decision making. This may make them appear cold and heartless. In reality, they are not (at least well developed ExTJs); they just want to make the best decision that works for themselves and everyone else.

When in an Fi grip, they can become overly sensitive and pitiful. Often driven and confident individuals, their motivation begins to stagger and drop. They start to believe they are not good enough and do not want to try to do anything anymore because they don't see the point. They feel aimless and pessimistic about everything. They may try to cover their sadness with anger as an attempt to appear strong, but it rarely works well.

Te doms in a grip should try to use their aux perceiving function (Ni for ENTJ, Si for ESTJ) to help get out of it. For Ni, strategize new plans and goals to get themselves motivated to reach goals. For Si, ESTJs should tend to their inner needs, learn to balance their personal health and external demands. They've likely fallen into the grip in the first place by failing to achieve most of their goals. They can write down their feelings just to get it out of them and if they can, analyze and figure out a solution that can help them get better. It helps to gain insight and advice from others as well.

Brief insufficient backstory again: f!ESTJ is the president of a giant citystate that holds most of the population of the planet PanPersona. This is because it just has one big supercontinent where most of the land is more or less uninhabitable, and because it is centered around the rift, a tectonic boundary where the magic-adjacent energy from the core of the planet seeps up and gives the nearby population really mundane powers/non-human physical traits. f!ESTJ's is hemocyanin, i.e. her blood uses copper rather than iron, like an octopus. She was elected based on her role in fending off a raid from the orbital compound over the radioactive material both groups use in their power plants. The two have been in an ongoing cold war for a while. She specifically is an expert in the use of a non-lethal sniper-type weapon that grounds any sort of flying craft. Ngl this whole thing is a kind of weak part of the story but it's what I have right now.

m!ISTJ and n!ESTJ. So I have no idea if the whole community around redesigning the 16P avatars and giving them elaborate backstories and lore is as active on Tumblr as it is on Instagram but from what I've seen I'm guessing it's not. Unfortunate. I miss the Instagram MBTI community from 2021/early 2022.

Super brief backstory that in no way adequately explains anything time: both of them are residents of a giant space station-esque scientific compound, and were best friends and coworkers. n!ESTJ is the head of structural security for the entire compound, which involves managing a team of support/repair robots. m!ISTJ was a scientist who died in an explosion (not going into detail on that because there's a lot), but had a backup of his consciousness stored from a prior experiment. For several years, he was thought to be completely gone, until he was rediscovered when his son (m!INTP) accidentally transferred the backup from an old computer from his home into one of the robots that was undergoing repairs. Cue tearful reunion and shared existential crisis. Anyways now they are working together again and building m!ISTJ a better body so he doesn't have to stay in the tech support robot. (This is possible in this universe, n!ENTP is another character in this branch of the story that has a robot body but again I will not go into that here.)

I do not know why I decided to create a whole universe based around a set of polygons from a fake MBTI website. The lore goes much deeper (aside from the space scientific compound, there's the planet it orbits with multiple civilizations and magic-adjacent energy that comes from its core and also n!ENFJ is just straight up an alien). I envy the amount of free time 2022 me had.
