Cuando calienta el sol
Request: Smut with ajak getting turned on by seeing the reader work out? But it’s hard to since it’s around the other eternals? - anon
Warnings: English is not my first language. Smut. NSFW.
Pairing: Ajak/F!Reader
Note: The title says “when the sun heats”. I didn’t know how to write this one ngl. It took me longer than expected, and I was also going through a depression episode. Anyways, it’s finally here hehe.
_ ✽ _
The sun fell upon you as you trained in the middle of the arid field. You are usually led by Thena or Ikaris; although, you prefer Thena’s approach the most. You can feel the arena full of cosmic energy, and the sudden movements around you are strong and intense. The thrill and the adrenaline build so exquisite that drags you into training with excitement. You are soaring through the air with full speed and force as you flip over Thena avoiding her spear.
Usually, there is no audience, but Sersi waits for Ikaris — and Sprite showed up at some point. When Ajak is not busy, she joins to watch you train and give an overall report of your progress. She leads in battle even if she does so from afar. You are used to her burning gaze upon you: cold and calculating. You like it; it makes you feel safe. Therefore, you let yourself go filled with more power and energy.
“They are amazing, aren’t they?” Sersi comments as she sets her attention on the fighters.
“They are.” Ajak agrees, never once losing her focus.
She is always composed, but even then she shows some sort of pride. There is also something fascinating when the fighters train; how they move in perfect motions and complement each other. It’s like watching a perfect dance. And she stares at you and the way your body moves; how flexible it is and toned that it slides perfectly between the raging battle going on. She doesn’t notice the moment she starts to feel some sort of heat within her stomach that extends through her chest.
It takes you some time to notice a heavy gaze on you, and that is because it feels like someone is luring like a cat with its prey. Someone is waiting for the moment you fall from the tree to snatch you into their claws. You think it must be Thena, since she tends to step aside to observe before attacking. Makkari sometimes has a similar effect, but it doesn’t feel like her. You look around and find Thena in a heated one on one match with Gilgamesh. Makkari has both Ikaris and Kingo at her tail with amazing strength and force, yet she manages to dodge them. And then you look at the sides of the arena, and notice a certain blur of movement you can’t quite distinguish in time. You let it go and continue with your training.
On the sidelines, Ajak has begun to notice she has been staring way too much. That is something that never happens because it means distraction. But she can’t look away and a breathy sigh escapes her lips.
“Ajak, are you alright?” Sersi asks before approaching the eternal.
“Fine.”
And then she notices you look around at them and quickly averts her gaze. There is a noticeable blush on her cheeks and Sersi doesn’t fail to notice.
“Are you sure?” There is worry in her voice.
“Are you feeling alright, Ajak?” Sprite asks noticing Sersi’s sudden distress.
Ajak is blushing so hard out of embarrassment. “It must be- uh, must be the heat… from… the sun.” Discreetly, she returns her gaze to you just to see if you are looking at her. She feels relieved to find out you are not.
“Let’s take you to the shade.” Sersi says. “Maybe bring you some water. Stay with her, Sprite.” And she disappears to get something to hydrate Ajak.
Their leader just wants to be swallowed by the earth at this point. Her heart is pounding — and she is sweating, and she loved the delicious friction it causes inside of her to look at you. She is loving the way your muscles are so toned, and how soaked in sweat you are; she can see how it drips down your neck. Ajak whimpers slightly, and Sprite squeezes her hand.
“It’ll be alright, Ajak.” Sprite offers support.
And Ajak takes a moment to avert her eyes once again to try to compose herself. Sprite leads her to the shade of the green nature that surrounds the small field. It doesn’t take long for Sersi to return with a container with water. Ajak takes a drink trying to convince herself she is hot due to the sunny area, knowing damn well that she has more durability under the sun that any of the eternals. And that she literally can heal herself.
The training continues, you show a formidable ability and capacity in the field. But all throughout, you feel heavy eyes on you; it’s like you can’t brush it off you. Until, out of the corner of your eyes they seem to be lured into a pair of golden brown orbs. And you notice a burning passion within them that you can’t stop staring. There is fire there and it burns through your mind. It was her following you with her gaze all along — sparkles, electricity and fire run through your body. The thought of being watched by her is exciting with a newfound sensation.
At this point you no longer care about the training, you just take a straight shot to Ajak noticing how she starts getting impatient in her place.
“I think we should take Ajak inside.” Sprite says never once losing her grasp on Ajak to offer support.
“Yeah, I think it’d be for the best.” Sersi replies.
“What’s going on?” You ask.
“Ajak is not-” Sersi begins but Ajak cuts her off.
“Nothing.” She responds, but her voice says otherwise.
“I’ll walk you inside.” You offer and they let you because you are stronger.
And both of you leave in a loud silence with you flushed close to her side to support her. And then she starts breathing hard, and you get slightly worried.
“Are you alrigh-“ Before you finish your question she presses against you so close you can feel her breath on you.
“Take me to my chambers right now.” She replies in a low whisper, and you feel warmth pool between your legs.
The moment you get to her chambers and close the door, both of you are drawn to each other like magnets. Your mouths join in a heated and passionate kiss, and you take your time to devour her as she does the same. You love the desperate whimpers that leave her and you need more of that. You make a trail of kisses down her neck; you nibble and kiss her salty skin with wet kisses as you make quick work to undress her. And it’s like you are so connected in your movement because she is undressing you too.
Your garments are soon disposed and remain laying on her floor. And on her rush to get to you she trips on your clothes and crashes onto you sending both of you flying to the bed. You love it because you notice she fits right in into your arms. It is like she belongs there and you appreciate having her there — which feels surreal. She takes a moment to compose herself, and for a moment you think she’ll pull away until she crashes her lips with yours once again. You love the sensation of her body flushed against you, and the way her hands roam every part of your exposed flesh she can grab. She starts to descend your shape with hot kisses, and down to your center.
She looks at you, and you know she is asking for permission. You roll your hips upwards to urge her to continue, and she dares to smirk. You magnificent and extremely religious leader dares to smirk before she devours you and latches onto your clit, parting your legs wider for better access. And you are on fire feeling every flick and slurp, how delicious the friction sends you to a white pure bliss. You feel her everywhere and you can’t stop staring at her, she looks like a goddess from between your legs. The way half her face disappears on you. You feel embarrassed with how fast she brings you to your climax, and how you scream out her name without shame. The trembling mess that you become in her bed, and the mess that you have created.
It takes you a moment to recover from your moment of pure pleasure, and you are now conscious of what just happened. She seems experienced, and it kind of makes you excited to discover this side of her. She licks you clean before taking her place on your side with a soft teasing smile. But this is not over, and you grab her by the wrist urging her to get on top of you. She is about to mount your hips when you pull her further up your body and onto your face. Her face flushes slightly; and then, she dares to smirk once again like she is about to give in to a child’s play. You grab her by the hips — and start with long and slow licks going down-up. She throws her head back and supports her hands on her legs that try not to squeeze your head.
Soon after, you pick up a quick pace before latching — with quick strokes of your tongue — to her clit. She moves her hips in circles and her breathing becomes rapid with pleasure. But you won’t stop there, and you take this opportunity to insert two digits inside of her. And she comes undone, she tries not to crush your neck under her weight, but you are still stronger and hold her in place as she rides her orgasm out. She falls limp to the side and lays there, you snuggle closer to her and kiss her bare back as she recovers.
“That was-”
“I know.” Ajak interrupts with a smirk.
You spend the rest of the afternoon in each other arms, and it feels normal and familiar. It feels like you’ve been here in another life.

The lighting in the S1 1941 flashback is so painfully dark I was rewatching it on a 150% brightness and perhaps I am five years late, but how come I've never noticed that this

is how Aziraphale gazes at Crowley before the "little demonic miracle of my own"???
This is him before the love realisation, just after Aziraphale miracled them both safe from the bomb exploding on the church with the Nazis. No heartwarming acts of service yet — best to his knowledge, Crowley was only there for moral support, because he "didn't want him to get embarassed". And his gaze is— I don't know what to say. Like it would kill him to look away. So fond, so immersed, "oh God, there you are", like hundreds of years have passed, not decades since they saw each other last. Books? What books? What air raid, what war?
Arguably the best part of the scene happens literal seconds after. If you pay close attention to the whole shot, you'll spot the brown satchel on the side. Which Aziraphale would notice earlier too, if he could focus on anything other than Crowley.

Just getting to stare at him is enough. If I touch him, I may crumble. But even so, people can be very greedy. Please forgive me for this daring mistake of touching a god by using courage as an excuse.

Eternal Bond
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
For centuries, Y/N had roamed the earth as an ancient vampire, her existence marked by an unquenchable thirst for blood and an insatiable desire for knowledge. She had witnessed empires rise and fall, and her heart had grown weary with time. But when she crossed paths with Klaus Mikaelson, a hybrid with a tormented soul, she discovered a connection unlike anything she had ever experienced.
Y/N had always been solitary, content in her solitude as she observed the world from the shadows. But there was something about Klaus that drew her in—a magnetic pull that defied reason. When their eyes met for the first time, a spark ignited, and Y/N felt a flicker of something she thought long extinguished within her.
Klaus, too, was captivated by Y/N's aura, a timeless elegance that spoke of ancient wisdom and untold stories. He saw the weight of the centuries in her eyes, and a curiosity burned within him to unravel the mysteries that lay beneath her immortal veneer.
As their paths continued to intertwine, Y/N and Klaus found themselves drawn to each other, their connection growing with each encounter. They shared conversations that spanned the depths of history, their words dancing in the air like echoes of forgotten times. Y/N's guarded heart began to thaw, and Klaus found solace in the presence of someone who truly understood the burden of immortality.
Their bond flourished amidst the chaos of their supernatural existence. They faced enemies together, their combined strength an unstoppable force. Y/N admired Klaus's resilience, his unwavering determination to protect those he loved, even in the face of insurmountable odds.
Klaus, in turn, marveled at Y/N's wisdom and grace, the way she navigated the world with a quiet strength that belied her true power. He found solace in her presence, a respite from the darkness that often consumed him.
But their love was not without its challenges. Y/N's immortality made her cautious, her heart guarded by centuries of pain and loss. She feared opening herself to vulnerability, knowing that loving Klaus meant embracing the possibility of losing him to the ever-encroaching tide of time.
Klaus, however, refused to let Y/N's fears dictate their fate. He saw in her a reflection of his own longing—for love, for redemption, for a companion to share eternity. He vowed to break down the walls around her heart, to prove that their love could transcend the constraints of time.
Together, they went on a journey of discovery, exploring the depths of their immortal souls. Y/N learned to trust, to let Klaus into the deepest recesses of her heart. And Klaus, in turn, discovered a love so profound that it transcended the boundaries of his own turbulent past.
But as their love blossomed, a darkness loomed on the horizon—a threat that sought to tear them apart. A powerful coven of witches, envious of Y/N's immortality, conspired to sever the bond between her and Klaus, unleashing a torrent of dark magic upon them.
Y/N and Klaus stood united against the onslaught, their love a shield against the forces that sought to tear them asunder. In the face of danger, they fought with a fervor fueled by the depths of their connection. Their powers intertwined, creating a symphony of ancient magic that lit up the night sky.
Yet, even in their triumph, the battle took its toll. Y/N found herself weakened, her immortality waning under the strain of the witches' curses. Klaus, desperate to save her, sought out a cure, delving into the darkest corners of the supernatural realm.
In his quest, Klaus discovered an ancient ritual—a beacon of hope that promised to restore Y/N's immortality. With a heavy heart, he embarked on a perilous journey, risking everything to give Y/N the eternity they both desired.
Finally, Klaus returned, armed with the knowledge and power to save Y/N. He performed the ritual, his hands trembling with a mixture of fear and determination. As the magic surged through Y/N's veins, she felt the familiar surge of power returning, her immortality restored.
Y/N and Klaus stood before each other, their eyes filled with a love that defied the boundaries of time. The trials they had faced had only strengthened their bond, deepening their understanding of the true meaning of eternity.
In that moment, Y/N realized that love was the true essence of their immortality. It was the thread that wove their souls together, an eternal flame that burned brighter with each passing year. With Klaus by her side, Y/N knew that she had found her forever, a love that would endure through the ages.
And so, Y/N and Klaus continued their journey, their love a beacon in the darkness of their immortal existence. They faced the centuries together, hand in hand, their bond unbreakable and their hearts intertwined. They traversed the ever-changing landscape of the supernatural world, their love serving as a constant source of strength and solace.
Though the years rolled on, their connection remained unyielding. They witnessed the rise and fall of civilizations, the ebb and flow of empires, but through it all, their love endured. They became a legend, whispered in hushed tones among the supernatural beings who crossed their path—a testament to the power of a love that transcended time.
And as the world continued to spin, Y/N and Klaus found comfort in their eternal bond. They reveled in the beauty of the night sky, hand in hand, their hearts forever intertwined in a love that would endure for all of eternity. In each other's arms, they had found the true meaning of immortality—a love that defied the constraints of mortality and bound them together in an eternal embrace.

The Great War
Relationship: Druig x Eternal!Reader Warnings: Angst, canon divergence Summary: Druig had to watch you piece yourself back together after the Eternals split — and fears of facing tragedy once again rise when the Eternals end up at his doorstep. He’s determined to put you first this time, but nothing is ever that cut and dry, and you prove that. A/N: sooooooo I forgot about this one shot... Um, I believe I wrote it almost a year ago and it just sat on my computer so after some re-reading and editing, I think it’s okay to share! I hope you enjoy.
Masterlist
He watched you from a far as you gave the children a tour of the garden. He knew it was your pride and joy and your face did nothing to hide the light that shined within you when one of the kids asked a question.
You could command the crops however you pleased, and your brain was packed with facts about every single thing that grew. You could go on and on for hours—Druig could personally vouch for that. Recently, you’ve been experimenting with hybrid crops, trying to find a new species to perfect, and you kept Druig very much in the loop about your progress every night before bed.
But he didn’t mind in the slightest. He’d listen to you talk about anything so long as that look of blissful happiness was plastered on your face.
Druig wandered a little closer to the garden, not close enough to draw attention, just enough to eavesdrop on your tour. He tried to look busy like he was inspecting a row of corn, but really you had his attention. Then again, he couldn’t think of many times when you didn’t crowd his mind.
"…and here we have some cabbage," you explained. The kids following you oohed delightfully.
Ah, yes. The cabbage. Druig chuckled to himself. A vegetable that has little business growing out here, let alone this time of year. But that was just the beauty of your powers. You could make pretty much anything sprout in nearly any environment.
It had taken some convincing for you to really use your powers. You had been so concerned with if growing certain things and aiding the villagers would go against the mission. But Druig had kindly reminded you that you two were away from it all. You were helping this civilization thrive—any means necessary.
Hence, cabbage growing in the summer heat.
Druig watched as you moved the young tour group to a vacant section of the garden.
"Here is where I hope we can start growing carrots soon," you said, motioning towards the freshly plowed land.
"Carrots?" One of the children said, her voice shakily repeating the word. "What are carrots?"
Druig smirked at the flood-gate the child had unknowingly opened. You wasted no time dishing out your detailed lecture on carrots.
You were just getting into a spiel about beta-carotene when a shiver went up Druig’s spine. Something was off, and he noticed it immediately. The village had been disturbed, penetrated by an unknown. He took a quick glance back at you to make sure you were alright. When Druig saw you were still drawing on about carrots, he let out a sigh of relief and left the garden in search of what had caused such a powerful imbalance on his land.
But his hunt hadn’t been a hunt at all. The problem made itself known immediately.
They were bold, he had to give them that.
***
The young student gave you one last hug before she ran back to her parents. You had made her home your last stop as you went about dropping the students off after the tour. She was a talkative one full of complex but beautiful questions and you absolutely adored that. You wanted them to be curious, to ask as many questions as they could think of. You’d answer them all as you had for their parents when they were young. And their grandparents. And so on.
You pulled your shawl tighter around you as you made your way through the village, looking for Druig. He probably thought you hadn’t noticed him observing your tour but you must certainly had. He was hard to miss and after all these years still managed to drive you a bit wild, even when standing there doing nothing.
You scanned the various groups of villagers but couldn’t seem to find your lover among them. You frowned and stopped at a congregating group of women. They were weaving baskets.
"Has Druig been around?" You asked in their native tongue. The women looked surprised at your question.
"He’s at the Center talking to our visitor," one woman kindly explained before turning back to her work.
You frowned. Visitors? What visitors? You didn’t see casual visitors this deep inland.
You thanked the women for their time and made your way to the Center. It was a nice communal space that held a variety of events, from meetings to religious services. It wasn’t too uncommon for Druig to be held up in there during the day, but the mention of visitors drew a lot of confusion for you. Why would he invite someone in?
Druig was very cautious about outside forces, to the point you got slightly annoyed about it. You’d only been out of the village a handful of times and were always met with Druig’s intense resistance. He was incredibly protective of you, sometimes bordering the edge of controlling—but you understood why. He loved you deeply and had promised to never let anything—or anyone—hurt you again. So far, he had kept his promise. But a sense of unusual nervousness filled you as you approached the Center.
You really didn’t know what you expected to find when you pulled open the door to the Center. Part of you thought you’d find Druig working on something. Another part of you thought he’d be having a meeting with these mystery visitors.
What you hadn’t prepared for was to come face-to-face with some old…pals.
The group of Eternals turned to face you the second you opened the door. Like you, it didn’t take them long to realize who they were coming in contact with. They bore mixed expressions, surprise and relief being the most evident. Well, except for Druig. He sulked off to the side, looking displeased when his eyes landed on you, but the others paid little attention to him.
Once the shock wore off, they mostly all greeted you joyously. You couldn’t help the smile that crept its way onto your face as you soaked in this unexpected but welcomed reunion.
You didn’t think you’d ever see any of them again after the fateful night. The Split had been especially excruciating for you. The life and people you’d known, the routine and security, all vanished. You were a bit lost for a while until Druig had offered you a hand.
However, that malice and fear weren’t at the forefront of your mind right now. All you could focus on was your fellow Eternals coming together again, sharing a moment under one roof. It truly had been so, so long.
"What are you all doing here?" You asked after giving a share of hugs and happy exclamations.
Sersi, naturally, was the quickest to step up to the plate to answer your question. The light in her eyes faltered as she opened her mouth to speak, but Druig didn’t waste a second before cutting her off.
"Nothing," Druig spat. He stepped in front of you, nearly blocking your view of the others. Your brows furrowed at his commanding tone, but he didn’t give you time to retaliate. "We had some matter to discuss briefly, nothing special. They were just on their way out, actually. Why don’t you help the villagers prepare for dinner, dear."
"Dear?" It was Ikaris who spoke up now, unable to hide his surprise at the pet name that rolled off Druig’s lips naturally. But while it was Ikaris who said something, a look of surprise flashed on everyone’s face.
Druig ignored him, his focus solely on you. "Please, love."
You know you should’ve listened to your lover and usually, you do, but, in the moment, you couldn’t. You wanted to know what was going on, even though you found comfort in the village. You knew this wasn’t nothing. Stuff like this didn’t happen. You knew these fellow beings too well. The reunion happening here wasn’t for shits and giggles. And they certainly weren’t here to just check up on you and Druig. No one did that.
"Druig, come on…" Sersi pleaded.
Druig shook his head. "She’s been through enough thanks to all of you, thanks to all of us. The last thing she needs is to be put in serious danger."
Ikaris scoffed. "How about you let her speak for herself."
Druig shot the other man a glare you hadn’t seen in centuries. In fact, you hadn’t seen Druig this upset since the day you two had reunited.
"I haven’t seen you all in ages," you said, trying to keep your voice light. "I certainly am curious to know what brings you out here." You gave Druig an apologetic look but he didn’t refute. His features even seemed to get softer at your patient words.
Before anyone else could interject, Sersi gave you a rundown of it all. From the Deviants, to the true purpose of the mission, to the regretful news of Ajak. The Eternal didn’t miss a beat relaying a story she already seemed tired of sharing.
You soaked in every word, completely stunned and alarmed by the news she had to share. When she explained they needed your and Druig’s help, you tensed. You could now understand why your lover had been so reluctant.
Unfortunately, Druig was also right in the fact that you didn’t need this, didn’t want this disturbance. You had created something beautiful and familiar here and your immediate desire was to go down with this ship.
So much was at stake on both fronts, and the surprise of it all wasn’t something you wanted to wrap your head around right now. Losing this? The land? The people? Everyone? Your hands shook as you spoke.
"I…I am sorry, Sersi, but I don’t see how I can be of any help," you said as gently as you could manage. "I think I may be better off here."
"Please, we need all—,"
"What have you done to her?" Ikaris asked Druig, cutting off Sersi and making everyone in the room jump. "What are you controlling her or something?"
Druig let out a wicked laugh. "Does she look like she’s being controlled, Ikaris? Frankly, I am insulted you would even think I’d treat her that way."
"Because you’re so above controlling others."
Druig marched towards Ikaris, leaving little room between them. His voice was bitter and hot as he spoke. "I am when it comes to the one I love. How dare you accuse me of that." Druig paused as he and Ikaris stared at one another as if challenging each other to say another word. When Ikaris didn’t reply, Druig took half a step back and turned to the group. "I think you all have overstayed your welcome, don’t you agree?" He looked around expectantly, but no one moved.
Cautiously, you broke the heavy silence. "This has truly been a lot for one afternoon. Maybe we should take some time to think. We can regroup later."
After an unsettling moment of everyone watching Druig like he was a ticking bomb, he agreed with your proposal. The others were quick to follow suit and, not surprisingly, looked relieved to have a moment out of the stuffy Center.
You happily showed the group where you gathered for meals, hoping they’d at least want a snack after trekking all the way out here. You enjoyed your dinner among the people and your friends and tried your best to refrain from bragging about the vegetables in the stew that came from your garden. You failed at that, but everyone seemed impressed with your crops. Druig held your hand through the entire meal, successfully but bitterly avoiding the questioning looks of the other Eternals. It had not been missed by you that you two were yet to explain your dynamic and how it came to be. Sure, a little flirting had occurred prior to The Split, but declarations of love must’ve been a confusing step.
But it was good. The moment was good and the evening was ultimately enjoyable. The villagers loved conversing with the guests. They were so welcoming and curious. The food was lovely. The company was lovely. The atmosphere was lovely. Was this all truly in jeopardy? How could it come to this? You didn’t like having your heart heavy with this.
Couple of hours later, after you finished assisting with the cleanup, you found yourself sitting under a tree, away from the bustling village, snacking on some berries. You weren’t alone for long, though, as you saw Sersi make her way through the dense trees.
"How are you doing?" She asked as she took a seat next to you on the ground.
"Okay," you said noncommittally. You held out your hand, presenting a few berries. "Would you taste these? I can’t decide if they need to be sweeter."
Sersi chuckled. "Is this a ploy to poison me?"
You shivered. "I haven’t dealt in that in centuries."
One area of your powers you had always held back on was the way that, while you could grow the most delicious crops, you could also grow the most deadly. But there was no need to unleash that anymore. It did little to help the village.
"Alright," Sersi said with a shrug and took the berries. "But if they find my body out here, they’ll probably look at you first."
You nodded. "That’s fair."
Sersi tossed the berries in her mouth. She hmm’d. "So," she began, "you and Druig?"
"Yes," you replied to her question that wasn’t a question. Part of you hoped that would be that but Sersi’s unwavering stare made it clear she wasn’t walking away without the whole story. This came as no surprise.
You took a deep breath and began. "After Ajak sent us off I was…lost. So very lost. Everyone else just made their decisions and went on. I—I didn’t know where to go, where to begin. I had known one way, one goal, for as long as I could remember and now everything was upside down. Everyone went their own way. I felt left behind." You paused to take a deep breath. You hadn’t spoken of such things with anyone but Druig, but, then again, no one had been around to hear it. To ask.
"It took a couple of years, but I eventually came upon Druig," you continued. "He admitted he had tried looking for me but I was the only one off his radar. He then apologized for storming away. I shared my feelings on the situation—on The Split—and the villagers welcomed me. I’ve rarely left since. Over time, our usual flirting and banter grew. He’s just… He’s just it for me. He’s so kind and caring. He’s taken care of me in so many ways and I truly couldn’t ask for a better partner. Up until today, I believed in fate. But maybe this was all just part of the plan. I could do without the pain and feeling…deserted but, in the end, this love has been good to me."
Sersi was silent as you spoke. She grew still beside you. Your spite had mostly subsided, but you still felt it was important to share, especially if dooms day was upon you. And while you had, for the most part, moved on and adapted, you knew Druig still held a bit of a grudge. Not to mention the anger he felt towards himself for leaving you, but over the years, you tried your best to ease his shame.
"Well, I—I didn’t— We, we didn’t…" You watched Sersi scramble to find the right words but her lack of reasoning wasn’t a bad thing. There was nothing to say.
"It’s okay," you assured her. "I’ve moved on. I’ve even made peace with all of it, I think." You looked back down at your basket of berries. "But there is someone who hasn’t quite come around to the idea of forgive and forget."
Sersi nodded. "Druig never quite seemed like the one to entertain such ideas."
"Please excuse his animosity towards the situation." You paused. "About earlier…"
"We do need you, truly," Sersi said. "I understand it’s frightening and you’re welcome to despise us but think about this place." She looked up at the trees and moonlight surrounding you two. "Everything’s so wonderful. The people, the place, the home you two have built. Don’t you at least want a shot to fight for it?"
You looked at the landscape around you. At the trees. The berries. The homes off in the distance. You hear the chatter of the villagers. The blow of the wind. The hum of the nighttime creatures. You closed your eyes, recounting the dinner, how nice it had felt to have so many of your friends together again. You wanted that all over again. You wanted this home you built.
"I think I was overwhelmed by all this…news," you explained. "And at first, I didn’t want anything to do with…anything. If the world was ending, I wanted to be here, in my home, but now… I don’t believe I can sit idly and let this place, these people, vanish." You opened your eyes. "More importantly, I can’t let my friends, my family, down."
Sersi took a moment and pattered your hand. "I’m relieved to hear that. You’re important, you’re valued. We can’t do it without you."
You shared a shy smile. "Well, I’m glad you’re happy about my decision. Lord knows how Druig is going to react."
"He’s shocked," a voice said from among the forest. You and Sersi whipped your heads around to find Druig walking out from behind a group of trees.
"I’ve never known you to eavesdrop so much, honey," you said, trying to keep the situation casual, but you were practically shaking.
Druig approached you two slowly. "Forgive me, my lady. I had only come to suggest we retire for the night. I certainly hadn’t expected to find you…conspiring," He shot a look at Sersi, who held her head high.
You sighed. "Druig, please…"
Sersi turned back to you. "I think you two should talk."
You hesitated but eventually agreed. Sersi avoided Druigs heated gaze as she left, heading back to the village. Druig took Sersi’s former spot next to you under the tree.
"You truly want to do this?" Druig asked softly, a stark contrast from his previous demeanor. "After everything, you want to help? You think we have a chance?"
"We have to try," you said. "For this. For us."
Druig took your hands in his. You turned to face him finding him very close. Your foreheads were practically touching. He stared into your eyes like you were all that existed and, for a second, it felt like that.
"I can’t bare to see you hurt again, love," he said. "And if we do this, there’s no telling what will happen after. There’s not even a guarantee we’ll make it out alive—,"
"That’s why we try," you pleaded. "And I’m aware this reunion may mean nothing. We’ll all probably go our separate ways again and that’s fine. I have a place to go back to. I have a routine and a garden and goals… But above all else, I have you. And with all that, I think I’ll be okay."
Druig searched your expression like he was expecting you to change your mind, but when nothing else left your lips, he nodded in defeat.
"If this is what you wish to do, I’ll follow you." He brought one of his hands up to caress your cheek. "I’m sorry for my behavior earlier. It was uncalled for and you always have the right to make your own decisions, do you understand that?"
"I know that, Druig. You were just being your protective self."
"That’s obvious?" He said with a humorless laugh. "I just want to see you happy, love."
"I am happy, Druig," you said, your eyes starting to well with tears—the good kind. "Happier than you’ll ever know."

A Day Made Better
Type- Blurb
Verse- Marvel-Actress!Y/n x Marvel-Actor!Harry and Marvel-Actor!Tom Holland
Warnings- None that I can see, but please do tell me if there's any I should put!
Word Count- 912
A/N- I'm slipping back into writing a lot now. Like, I've literally got two more fics saved up and ready to be posted in my drafts and I'm onto working another one. You believe me now? Good. I hope you enjoy reading this <3
Description- Y/n isn't having the best day of her life, Tom can't seem to stop falling and Harry is just too good at making people happy with his little jokes.
Tumblr media
It'll be a lie if they were to say that they 'didn't even try' to keep Harry from joining the duo of Tom and Y/n.
Cause they did, they really did try their best. Alas, sweat broke on their foreheads as they lost the unconfirmed battle. But that doesn't mean they are at peace now, oh that's such a no. Perhaps that's why they were gatekeeping Harry, to save them from any greater number of chaotic plans plotted against them.
Every morning, Harry is the first to arrive at the set. Followed by eating-something-Y/n and then a disheveled Tom. And everyone loves their presence but somedays they want nothing more than to tie the three up and throw them in some random deep pit.
Today, majority of the marvel actors are on the set because of some random interview filming which apparently required to them to be on the set. This made the lot who wasn't in the camera view feel annoyed- not sure with the interviewers or with the ones who are being interviewed.
Whatever the option, Y/n is most definitely annoyed with both.
She's been asked to come on set at 5am in the morning, since the last two weeks. Well, everyone has been. But today wasn't like just any other days, no. She had gotten her periods last night, which she blames to make her cry last night. In the morning when she woke up, she was met with her unpleasantly puffed-up eyes, causing her to cry almost again especially when her hair wouldn't get in a proper braid.
At the end, she washed her face with cold once again, looked away from the mirror and threw her hair in a hand curated bun. And, as expected, it looked better than anything.
Then when she arrives on set, she sees Tom on the ground looking like an embarrassed five-year-old, and Harry who's standing right behind him, clutching his stomach and laughing his lungs out while providing his friend with his arm for support.
That did turn the corner of her lips up a tad bit. But when she was told how there wasn't going to be any shooting done today because of interview she and the other two are not a part of, she felt like ripping her hair off her scalp.
She had asked if they could go back then, but the answer she received might be the reason she's sitting in a corner as she registers the fact that this day was going to go down the sink of moodiness.
"Let me tell you a joke," Harry came to sit down beside her, his thigh touching with hers and y/n's not sure if it's because his love language is physical touch or just an unintentional thing. Either thought makes her smile a little. "But you'd have to participate in this one- just once!"
"So, a papa tomato, a mummy tomato and a baby tomato were walking down the street. The baby tomato was walking too slow and got a little behind the parent tomatoes. That made papa tomato mad, and he squished the baby tomato, telling him to: 'ketchup!'" Harry shrieked at the last word and started giggling himself before fixing his eyes on y/n's mouth to see if it made her smile even.
It's like she's laughing, but she doesn't want to laugh- like she wanted to remain sad. Which makes Harry bump his shoulder with hers and laugh along.
Y/n feels something brush on her back before the third musketeer's voice follows. "What's so funny, eh?" He asks as he tries his best to sit down in his kinda tight skinny jeans. "Tell me too, my day hasn't been very heartful either. It's been rather hurtful," he continues himself, squeezing out an unexpected laugh by the other two.
"He's been falling on his ass all morning long," Harry tells y/n as he calms down, still giggling every once in a minute. Though when he sees y/n frown in amusement, he goes on full tryna-convince-her mode. "Like literally!"
"I've fallen what, three times? And what did you do about it, other than wheezing huh?" Tom defends himself from the other side.
"What else could you expect me to do? Massage your arse??"
This snatched a wheeze from y/n's lungs as her body shrinks down. Clutching her stomach, she rises back up and starts to clap while still laughing hysterically.
"Shut up," Tom mumbles, the tops of his cheeks reddening as if someone pinched them.
Harry sputters out laughs as y/n and Tom tell him more about the pranks they have pulled on the rest of the cast members before. But none of them pulls a laugh as loud as the can toppled over Tom's head does.
"Should I throw the other two too, or are you guys coming here to get them?" Sebastian shouts from quite afar with two more cans in his hands.
"No wait! We're coming!" Y/n manages to string the words together in the middle of another wheel of laughter, all while Harry helps her up and Tom cusses out Sebastian.
With the cans finally in their hands, they come back to sit back at their spots. The time followed by goes like that, Y/n spilling her drink as she opens her can, Tom almost slipping over the same drink as he stands up to enact a scene from his favourite movie he was describing and Harry throwing lame jokes here and there.
Tagging- @onecrazydirectioner @tatehuxley222 (you both requested for a part 2 :)) | @marvel1dhp @eloquentree (you both asked to be tagged in all the works <3)
Feel free to reply under any of my original posts or send in an ask requesting to be added in the tag list <3

Cuddling Hcn
Request: How the eternals woman would like to cuddle hcs? - anon
Warnings: English is not my first language.
Note: Guess who graduates on tuesday?! Finally done with my part of every assignment.
_ ✽ _
Sersi
She is the most neutral when it comes to cuddles, yet the one that likes it the most.
She is very romantic and enjoys being close to you.
She prefers to be the little spoon, but can totally switch depending on the mood and the position.
Loves it when you rub her tummy because it makes her feel warm and comfortable.
She likes to rub her legs together, which is cute and strange because she does it out of comfort rather than being cold.
Talking is very important to her. Every night before going to bed she likes to talk, about anything: about her day, about feelings, memories, funny stuff she saw, anything.
Sometimes you watch TV while cuddling, but mostly she watches videos on her phone and both of you enjoy whatever pops up as she scrolls.
Sometimes when you cuddle on the couch she throws a blanket on top of both of you.
She likes to hold your hands too. That’s how she ends up controlling the cuddles because she guides your hands to wherever she wants them.
Pls give her lots of little kisses because it melts her.
Makkari
She is very specific when it comes to cuddling, but at the same time she is not.
She likes to cuddle, but it depends on the mood and who is the big or little spoon.
Sometimes she wants to be held, and sometimes she likes to hold you.
She is very chill, so it all just falls into place. She is not demanding and just gets carried away with the mood in the room.
Cuddling with her is the most interesting thing in the world because she will literally share the most interesting stuff. Places she has been, things she has collected, and wonders of the world. She has treasures that you can’t believe she does.
You find out a lot of her mischievous adventures like that which usually ends up with you asking “are you serious?” and she is. Or just impressed and proud.
It feels like being in space with her, that only you and her are out there floating and discovering the world.
Every time you cuddle both of you learn something new which is the most amazing thing in the world.
And most of the time snacks are involved, she loves snacking almost as much as Druig.
You watch tv while cuddling too, mostly documentaries. Most of the time both of you debate on the actual events.
Thena
This is a tough one. She doesn’t like to cuddle at all, and she only does so when the mood is too specific.
If you are at the domo she isn’t likely to cuddle you. She likes to lay in bed and stare at the ceiling with you as both of you talk about everything. She gets deep on stuff, but also has a little bit of playfulness that only saves for you.
She is tough but not rough, so she is very delicate with her movements and touch that sometimes you’d catch her stirring elegantly like a cat all spread out. These moments are rare; she is always so composed and holds a very rigid pose.
When she does cuddle you is when both of you are sent out on a mission, under the endless sky on a boat sailing to distant shores to defeat deviants. She does so in a protective manner as she wants to feel you close and safe. She wouldn’t deny it if you mention to someone else, but you would never do so. These moments and memories are yours and yours alone.
She doesn’t mind when you cuddle her but she does get tired after some time and will break free from your hold. Instead she will squeeze your hands and find another position. These moments last as much as half an hour.
That will change after mahd wy’ry.
When she has her episode she will isolate for some time until you learn to deal with it. On her good days she will seek cuddles. Which is something that both surprised you and made you feel sad, because you know the Thena you once knew would never do that. She’d show comfort, love and security in different manners.
She likes to be held the most, even when she hurts you and wants comfort she will seek for the comfort of your arms. You like to kiss the top of her head when she does. It is more like a hug as you both cuddle with her hands clutched together in the middle as you embrace her and place soft kisses all over her face. You always talk to her to make her stay and to feel safe and loved.
Ajak
She gives the best cuddles. She is cuddle material because you feel sooo comfortable with her.
Her hugs and embrace are just the best, you fit right into her arms and she is so tiny that she fits right into your arms as well.
You prefer to lay your head on her chest, and lay almost all of your weight on her side.
She is the little spoon when cuddling on the couch and watching TV. Mostly because you like to be touchy.
You are more likely to fall asleep than her because she has trouble sleeping.
Something keeps her awake.
She never talks about the past when everyone was still together. She only talks about her life after. Sometimes at night as you both cuddle and get deep in conversation you notice some heaviness in her voice.
You are the big spoon or on top of her when you go to sleep, but in the morning you are the little spoon always.
She likes the closeness and how intimate and cute it is.
She sings a lot too, so she will sing you to sleep which you adore.
The entire experience is cozy and beautiful.
She steals the blanket.

Druig X Reader ~ Never Leave Again
A/N: i watched eternals for the first time the other day (forever ago and i took forever to post this😂) and i instantly fell in love with druig. this isn’t great but it’s the first idea i thought of and i wanted to write it. hope you enjoy <3 (female reader)
Warnings: none :)
Summary: After many years apart, you set out to reunite with your love, Druig.
Words: 971
Tumblr media
(not my gif)
The air was quiet and still around you. The jungle was the quietest it had been since you'd been out there. You didn't hear the buzzing of flies or the chirping of birds. It was strange, but you didn't think about it for too long, instead moving on to think about how you were nearing your destination.
You walked for a few more minutes before you began to smell smoke. In the distance, through the trees, you could see the black plume rising into the sky. You felt a nervousness building behind your ribs with every step you took closer. You tried to shake the feeling away, assuring yourself that everything would be fine, and there was no reason to be nervous. You tried to swallow the feelings that were rising up to the back of your throat as you reached the entrance of the village.
It was bigger than you were expecting. People were turning to eye you suspiciously as you walked slowly along the path through the village. You watched the people that watched you, trying to find a familiar face amongst them. You weren't having much luck, and there were enough buildings to have you searching for hours.
You stopped and turned to a woman that was looking at you. "Excuse me... Do you know where Druig is?" you asked her. She suddenly stood up straight and her eyes began to glow a familiar gold. "Hello Y/N" her voice spoke, but you knew it wasn't actually that woman that was using her own voice. You shook your head with a small smile.
You turned when you heard a door open loudly behind you. You turned to see Druig walking out of a building and towards you with a smirk on his face. "My beautiful, beautiful Y/N. I was wondering how long it'd take you to visit me" he said as he walked up to you, stopping only a few feet away. You felt all the nervousness and anxiety fade away at the sound of his voice. His playful tone was comforting to hear after all those years apart, and your heart raced at the compliment he always loved to give you.
"I could never stay away from you forever" you mirrored his tone as you took a step closer. "I would hope not" he teased as he took a step closer. Now you were merely a foot apart. He was so close yet so far away. There were so many things you wanted to say to each either, but neither of you can utter a word.
Druig took a final slow step, stopping only inches away. He leaned in and you began to lean in to meet him in the middle. You almost whined in annoyance when he stopped, his lips an inch away from yours. You could feel his warm breath on your lips as you stared up into his dazzling blue eyes. The air thickened around you and it almost felt like it was choking you.
At first you're not sure what he's waiting for, then you heard a small voice in your head. Can I kiss you, my love? You barely processed his question before you leaned in and smashed your lips against his, throwing your arms around his neck to pull him as close to you as possible. You can kiss me forever. You pushed the thought into his mind as your lips moved in synch. You felt him smile into the kiss at your message.
You pulled away after a few more moments, resting your forehead against Druig's as your eyes fluttered closed. "I've missed that" you whispered to him, and he laughed. "Me too" he paused for a moment. "I've missed you" he whispered, causing you to open your eyes. You smile as you get lost in his ocean blue eyes. "I've missed you too" you whispered back.
You pulled away to look at the huge smile on his face. You were sure this was the happiest you had seen him in centuries. Tell me what's on your mind, pretty girl. Druig always knew when you had something on your mind, even without his mind reading. He could read you like an open book, but he hated reading your mind without your permission, which is why he always tried to persuade you to tell him what you were thinking about. He had mastered the art of being able to sweet talk you into telling him almost anything.
“I want to stay here... with you" you said quickly. "If you'll have me?" you added after a few seconds of silence. "You're the only one I ever want to have" Druig leaned in and connected your lips again, in a softer kiss this time. He did his best to show how much he loved, appreciated, and cared for you through the kiss. He held his arms around you middle, pulling your body flush against his.
He pulled away, panting slightly. "You can only stay on one condition..." he tried his best to be serious, but you could see the faint smirk pulling at the corner of his lips. "And what's that?" you asked, humoring him. "You can never leave again" the playful bite to his words faded a bit, and was replaced with a more serious undertone.
You looked up at him with a loving smile. You reached up and held his face, rubbing your thumb across his cheek softly. He leaned into your touch, sighing happily. "I'll never leave again" you agreed quietly.
"You're sure?" you had never been more sure about anything in your entire existence. You nodded. "There's no one else I'd rather spend the rest of eternity with" Druig smiled widely at your words before leaning in and kissing your lips quickly.
"I love you, my beautiful Y/N" you felt your cheeks heat up at his words. "I love you too, my darling Druig"

Note
I’ll be honest, I’d love to request a Druig Halloween blurb…I just don’t know exactly what to request. All that I can think of is somehow having the reader be a librarian (it’s my favorite trope, seeing as how I am one myself). Maybe Druig volunteered to do a story time for kids at Sersi’s prompting and he was so popular, he was asked back to do a spooky Halloween one? Idk…I’ll leave it up to you.
PS: I love your work so much!!!
T’was Halloween Night || Druig
Tumblr media
a/n: i’m sorry this is so short and so last minute but i hope you enjoy this little halloween fic!
word count: 1k
warnings: none, fluff
masterlist || druig masterlist
A shiver ran through you as you stepped into the library, the door shutting behind you as the warmth from the inside welcomed you in. The lights had been dimmed by this time of night and the warm, orange glow of the halloween decorations you had expertly strung up two weeks before reminded you of what day today was: Halloween.
You unraveled your scarf from around your neck and noted the vacancy at the front desk. Despite your coworker’s disappearance, however, you weren’t alone. You heard a man’s voice carry from the children’s room and with it, the excited gasps of the kids who came for story time, thrilled by the tale at hand. As you hung your scarf on the hook, you followed the voice through the threshold and smiled.
On the colorful rug were a scattered group of children, dressed to the nines in their costumes with their parents by their side, and in the middle of them a man who looked much to out of place between them.
His dark hair was in his face as he read and his black leather jacket nearly distracted from the different accents he used for each of the characters in the story- his voice fluctuating with each line.
You couldn’t help but laugh at the way he sat in the wooden chair that was far too tiny for him, hunched over to find the words on the page. Despite his stature and admittedly brooding appearance, it was evident that the kids just adored him.
Without realizing, you smiled along with his story until the very last line when the kids erupted in pitter pattered applause.
And you couldn't help but join them.
As the applause fell and the parents escorted their kids out of the library and into the cool Halloween night to begin their trick-or-treating, you realized as the last child left that all that remained were you and the unnamed man.
With the room drowned in nothing but the “Halloween Party” playlist your coworker had left on, you watched as he shrugged on his leather jacket. Maybe it was the fact that you were spending Halloween alone, working or the way he had a magnetic energy towards him despite his demeanor, but you didn’t want to allow him to leave so easily.
“You did a great job.” You complimented him. “The kids loved you.”
Looking up from digging into his pockets, he shrugged and rolled his eyes.
“I think everyone just likes a good story.”
“Do you?” You asked.
“Do I what?”
“Enjoy a good story.”
He thought for a moment.
Pushing himself up from the stool, he chuckled to himself.
“I’ve been a part of far too many to say.” He replied. “Ask me an easy question, Y/n.”
Your name slipping from his lips both flustered you and invigorated you. You both were hyperaware that you had never shared your name, but as shocked as you were, you hated to admit that you weren't as uneasy as you were intrigued.
“How do you know my name?”
The soft smirk that painted his face was both welcome and infuriating at the same time.
“I’m not sure what you mean.”
“Are you a ghost?” You asked, only half joking.
The laugh that erupted from his chest proved the side that was being truthful, wrong.
“In some places.” He said. “Though, not here. If that’s what you're worried about.”
He slowly crossed the room to you, his hands behind his back as he did. You straightened against the wall of the threshold, watching his every step and memorizing the way he walked over to you in pure confidence and cockiness. Usually you hated a man who exuded any of it, but you could tell every ounce of it was justified- far from the men built up by feigned respect you accounted usually.
“So you’re human then?”
He smiled.
“You ask a lot of questions.”
You were suddenly aware of how close he stood to you.
His chest was practically against yours and although you could see his face, you swore he was close enough that you could feel his breath against your skin.
“Naturally inquisitive.” You responded.
The lack of movement from either of you ushered the lights in the room to shut off, leaving the both of you basking in the warm, orange glow of the Halloween lights.
“Can I ask you a question?” He asked.
Choked up by his proximity to you, you nodded.
“Would you like to get get coffee?” He asked. “After your shift, of course.”
You had to admit that you had opened your mouth to respond as soon as he asked the question but shut it a moment later when he responded to your protests without a word. It was almost as though he could read your mind.
“You’d like that wouldn't you?”
Standing up straight, you stuck your nose up.
“Maybe I would.”
“Well,” He said, leaning in closer. “It’s a date, then.”
As quick as he leaned into you, he pulled away and shoved his hands into his jacket pockets.
“That’s what you humans say anyway, right?”
Glancing at his figure from his shoes to his eyes, you nodded.
“That’s right, Mr...?”
Knowing where you were headed, he chuckled and stepped backwards.
“Druig.”
Watching as he, Druig, stepped towards the door, a part of you felt a breath that you hadn't;t even noticed you had been holding escape your lungs.
His stride was long and quick and before you knew it, he stood at the entrance with his back towards you. Druig’s face peaked over his shoulder as his hand met the handle.
“Happy Halloween, Y/n.”
And just like that, he left, with only the cool breeze that slipped in as the door shut behind him there to greet you.
You found yourself wondering who he was, or, rather, what he was, but as a couple walked in behind him, you found peace in the fact that you would find out later that Halloween night.

Treacherous (epilogue)
Relationship: Druig x Reader Warnings: N/A Summary: Soulmate!AU - Soulmate tattoos are incredibly rare but you’ve never felt really proud to have one. Everyone else around you gushed over it while you found the whole thing ominous and a little inconvenient. Truthfully, you were never really convinced you’d find your other half… That is until a random camping trip leads you to a quaint village run by a dark and brooding man who just so happens to be your soulmate. Stuck in the forest with nothing else to lose, you agree to join his world, his little village, and see if there’s actually love behind the markings. A/N: i guess we finally made it - thank you for reading and I sincerely hope you have enjoyed this fic, even though it took me forever to update. thank you for being patient and i pray this has lived up to any expectations. thank you for caring and reading! I write just to have fun but it's always nice when there's people to read it :)
‘Treacherous’ Masterlist | Main Masterlist
You made your way out to your apartment balcony, carefully maneuvering the tight space as you carried two plates filled with sandwiches and cups of soup. Druig was already sitting at the patio table. He’d been sitting there for a while scrolling on his new cellphone (or "cellular device," if you asked him about it).
You two had made a pitstop on your travels to see a few of the Eternals and Sersi had insisted on keeping in touch the modern way. She shoved a phone into Druig’s hands and, despite his protests, he quickly became fascinated with the technology. It was still a very funny sight to you. You were quite relieved you find you weren’t missing your phone, though.
"Do you have time to take a break from your phone for lunch?" You playfully asked as you placed a plate of food in front of your soulmate. He smirked and rolled his eyes before placing the phone on the table.
"I was reading about a farmer’s market that’s going to be not too far from here tomorrow," he explained. "We should check it out."
"Sounds nice," you replied and swirled your spoon around your serving of soup. It was evident that Druig missed the routine and community of the village. You noticed this pretty quickly after moving in together. He focused on very specific parts of living, such as cooking with particular organic vegetables. He was also very strict about security in your apartment. You never missed the protective eye he kept on, well, everything.
Living together like this was certainly an adjustment. Even though it wasn’t the first time you two had shared the same home, it felt very different now. You were coming together in one household on almost completely different terms. There was a willingness and dedication to this life that hadn’t felt as real or tangible in the village.
The place you lived in also felt very bizarre. It was a one-bedroom, cozy flat near the city but not in the heart of it. It screamed prime real estate to you. A place like this in New York would be mind-blowing. You didn’t know how Druig was able to obtain this flat but you also didn’t want to ask too many questions. All of the Eternals seemed to manage their livings on their own with ease and you would just go along with it for him.
"Are you okay, darling?" Druig asked, pulling you out of your wandering mind.
You nodded and took a bite of your sandwich. "That farmer’s market sounds really great. Hopefully, their growing standards live up to your demands," you joked.
"I’m sorry for thinking we should eat well," he replied, making your joking tone. "Perhaps that diner you took me to traumatized me."
You gasped. "You certainly weren’t complaining at the time."
He smirked. "I finally had you back. I was a little distracted, I wasn’t thinking clearly."
Your heart suddenly felt like it was mush in your chest. You didn’t know how he constantly managed to do that to you. It never felt like it would fizzle.
"There’s no need to woo me," you muttered as you felt your face get warm. "You already have me here."
"But that’s where you’re wrong. Because you’re here, I get to woo you every day, for as long as this world allows."
Now your stomach felt like mush. You had to force yourself to look away or else you would completely crumble under Druig’s gaze.
"An art gallery a few streets over is looking for an intern. I was considering applying," you said, changing the subject. You had to shift it—he could go on forever working you up.
Druig smiled at your admission. "That sounds wonderful."
"Yeah?" You sighed. "Do you really think so? I wasn’t totally sure, my creativity has been lacking for a while. I… I haven’t done much of anything creative since the village. I never got to finish the blanket." It was such an insignificant part of the village but its loss didn’t get past you. You had remembered that first spark that it ignited in you, that moment you wondered if you were right where you needed to be. It felt so silly to admit, so silly to have a knitted blanket hold so much weight, but its loss could’ve foretold so much.
"I’ll get you all the yarn you want," Druig responded with no hesitation. "You’ll get to make a hundred blankets. You can fill the entire flat with them."
You couldn’t help but laugh at his enthusiasm. "I make traditional art, too."
"Any materials you need, consider it done," he replied. "Do you want a studio? We could rent a studio."
You quickly shook your head, trying to get him to slow down. His tendency to come on strong and eager had yet to fully fade, but you were starting to think it never would.
"Let me start with the blanket and internship," you said. "Maybe I’ll get some paint sets as well. We can talk studios…at a later date."
"Sorry," he sighed. "I just want you to have everything. I… I don’t want you to regret this, not even for a second. I never want any more worries or fears running through your head."
You gave him a sympathetic smile and placed your hand on his where it rested on the table. You noticed he hadn’t touched much of his food, a seemingly uncommon occurrence for him.
"You can’t stop me from worrying, but I can assure you that, right here, right now, I’m very pleased with where I am in life. I’m happy in this apartment and I’m glad you’re the one I’m sharing it with."
You swore you heard Druig let out a sigh of relief but you ignored it.
"I think that’s all I’ve ever wanted to hear," he muttered. "I’m happy as well."
"Thank gosh," you said as a smile you couldn’t contain spread its way onto your lips. "Now, we should finish our lunch. I believe I was promised yarn."
"Anything for you, my beautiful, beautiful soulmate."
