I feel so bad I only boy post about nge when the girls are the best part of the entire show but truly nothing compares to the shrimp emotions you unlock after watching twenty three episodes of the most "yeah we get it showrunners this is an anime and you think girls are hot" only for shinji to fall heads over heals in love with a guy who not only loves him back but also turns out to be the final angel and begs shinji to kill him so he has a chance to live and be happy. Inspired by cemeterything's platonic dynamics of Kaworu and Asuka.

On one end, I like the idea that Asuka's disdain for Kaworu derives in the fact that he seems simply 'better.' This ties into a fear of being replaced. On another imagine Kaworu being taught by Asuka. He isn't good at everything. He understands things like interactions, of boundaries, on paper. It gives him a more vulnerable angle. That this quasi-god being capable of ending everyone and everything should he will it is capable of not being good at something. Kaworu finds these interactions beneficial due to his inquisitive and curious nature. Asuka doesn't feel that need to be number 1. She sheds it if for a moment. At that very second she realizes, you don't need to be good at everything. All you need are people that see your for your worth and hardly mind the rough edges.

They don't even have to be friends, either. They could be acquaintances on good terms. They're a bit vulnerable in the extent that they're both figuring things out. Figuring out their people and who they want to surround themselves with. And that's alright.

something that’s so funny about Evangelion is that it literally Says in the TV ending (which is like. still canon. like it’s an exploration of the emotional state of shinji instead of what literally happens but that’s still like very important) that sometimes if you focus too much on finding a deeper meaning you lose sight of what’s important and then people literally go “eva is so complex what is it saying” when it’s primary message is literally fucking spelled out to you multiple times.

#Evangelion is not a complex story lol. Is it deep? Yeah #But like. The actual What’s Going On isn’t that complicated #There’s a lot to analyse but the actual story isn’t that confusing I just think people weren’t paying attention tbh

this sounds like a stretch but i feel like thr toji puppet thing that hikari made feels like its a symbolism that toji had no control over both situations (his sister getting hurt and his eva getting possessed by bardiel). i usually see puppet symbolism as a person having no control or someone controlling them. anyways i have officially gone down the suzuhara fixation rabbit hole and i love analyzing complex characters like toji. even if he isn't that complex, most of the fandom doesn't even get him, not even his own fans. sigh.

im asking you about ninjago eva crossover please say more about it. is misako gendo?

Originally when i started drafting it out in my head, Misako was indeed the Gendo stand-in of the au. HOWEVER, i settled on Garmagendo instead of Gendosako because it was a much clearer parallel:

The father figure who abandons his son at a young age. dubiously unwilllingly or otherwise

God-complex that covers up a Family-Man complex on crack

Garmadon's ultimate plan in the early seasons: "Destiny took [his] family away from [him] and the only way to bring them back was to turn Ninjago into [his] own image" ; season 2, ep. 25; Basically he wants ultimate power so he can rewrite reality into letting him have a happy family again (alongside being a tyrant or whatever)

Kinda like how Gendo works towards the Human Instrumentality Project so he can play god and personally facilitate an Instrumentality where he can get a world where Yui is alive and he can live a life with a wife and son who 100% love him.

Testy relationship with their son

Stronger Evil Vibes

They are the "rulers" of their groups

Have powers

Gendosako was a great idea until I remembered that Misako just doesn't exude the Evil Asshole Parent energy as strongly as Garmadon does.

Besides her actions do align with Yui's a bit more.

Misako dumped Lloyd at Darkley's because she knew he would be the green ninja and wanted to prevent it/ protect him from his fate

Similarly, Yui knew that if SEELE followed through with the Intrumentality Project, Shinji would probably explode into Fanta, so she she abandoned her son so she could become a pseudo-god in EVA-01 so that Shinji would be the only possible pilot and he would spared from being fanta-ed during Third Impact because he would be safe inside Unit 01 also becoming a god.

Essentially, these moms want to protect their kids but they decided the ABSOLUTE WORST possible way of going about it

ANYWAYS I REALLY JUST INFODUMPED A WHOLE LOTTA STUFF TLDR; Garmadon is Gendo, Misako is EVA-01, and either way Wu is Fuyutsuki
