sometimes i think about cquackity being the one to propose to cschlatt, being the one who cared so much, wanted things to work so bad, think about him building the white house. sometimes i think about him wanting a big lavish wedding with all of manburg watching, daring to daydream about it at work some days with a silly little grin on his face (he was 19) (he was 19) until schlatt yelled over at him from across the room, demanding to know why quackitys just sitting there lookign moony eyed for and when quackity doesnt say anything him telling quackity to get back to work with an eye roll and a snort. sometimes i think about them getting married, a quiet, official affair officiated by fundy and attended by two witnesses and i think about him just being happy to be married. i think about him eating schlatts heart, searching within it for a crumb of the love he gave, with his teeth. and sometimes i think about him getting together with karl and sapnap only a day after manburg fell, finding each other before the ashes settled and promising to get married as soon as the burned down city was restored. i think about him staring at his engagement rings, little and cheap bc they don't have a lot of money right now, and what they do have goes into el rapids growing infrastructure, a home for them someday, with certainly not enough left over for fancy jewelry, so sapnap made them by hand. they're messy and a little uneven and the jewels wiggle sometimes but quackity refuses to take them off, no matter what he's doing, even when george makes fun of him for wearing them as they dig up a garden and i think of him sitting in the quiet and twisting them around his fingers and reminding himself that he's loved he is that he put their rings on his finger and his on theirs and they want him too and i think about karl casually dropping "and when we're married" into conversation like its no big deal and sapnap going along with it like its nothing too and i think about him grinning like an idiot but trying to hide it, because its clearly nothing to sapnap and karl? and karl catching him first and not believing him when he says its nothing and laughing and kissing him like q being excited for the wedding is the sweetest thing he's ever heard and i think about them staying up all night trying to figure out what they want to write in their vows. and i think about an effiel tower and wedding chapel in the youngest country in the server, surrounded by roses bc they stand for love and they're also sapnap's favorite flower and i think about him standing outside the prison and feeling a promise to propose fall out of his lips with mist into the cold air and i think about him taking his rings of his finger for the first time since sapnap gave them to them, flushed and grinning, and trying to throw them into lava, leave them behind. i think about him collapsing and not being able to finish the job and tying them on a string round his neck and trying to forget the weight of a grindstone around his neck. i think about him on his hands and knees in the hot summer sun tearing the rose bushes out of the ground with his bare hands until they're more thorn than flesh and i think about him swearing not to go back, to leave first every chance he gets

Blacksmith’s Forge

Started out as a PJO Au involving only Fundy but then expanded to include the rest of the Cogchamp SMP crew

Kid of Hephaestus, real Leo Valdez vibes seeing as Fundy always has a tool belt on wherever he goes even if he doesn't need it

Having grown up in the mines, Fundy's extremely confused when a man in a wheelchair comes rolling up telling him about some camp

At first thinking it's some type of camp for troubled teens, not really having the best luck when it comes to authorities. Unable to count the amount of times he's ran from the coppers

Whether it's simple graffiti or a joyride on a stolen motorcycle, Fundy can't seem to care. Whatever fills the adrenaline rush when boredom strikes

It's only when he wakes up to his forge being overran by dwarves that he finally heed the warning he was given

Spends most of his time at camp, hanging out with campers from Athena's cabin, being the one to check over the blueprints

Seeing if their ideas are plausible and actually work. It's no problem if they don't. Hell, Fundy prefers when they don't work the first time around as it means he's gets to tinker with their designs.

Doesn't make too many changes as most of the mistakes tend to be sleep deprived errors. Still he'll see what he can do to make 'em more efficient

Mainly listens to Jazzpunk while he works, stimming along; mouth pops, banging his wrench against the side of some metal scrap, tapping his foot

Otherwise the other half of the time is spent getting his ass kicked because he decided to taunt one of Ares' kids. Also picking out the most hotheaded one he can find.

Starts out with a simple prank which he blames on the Hermes kids who already hate him

Fundy makes all his failed pick-pocketing gadgets shiny to their sticky hands, usually blows up in their faces literally. Not badly enough that they have to go to the med unit but they do end up with explosions of soot and ash on their clothes

So as you'd expect, they rat him real quick and Fundy always forgets that said Ares' kid will just cut the tree he swiftly scrambled up down

Butchering some remark trying to compare Fundy's fox hybrid traits to the one Aesop's fable—the one about how the grapes are just out of reach and the fox eventually gives up

Which Fundy points out and that's what finally pushes them over the edge

It's during one of these tiffs that he meets his friend group, as another camper, Sam decides to intervene for once. The Ares' kid ends up with some injuries for once as they tried to act hard when really, they were shitting bricks when they saw Sam's gas mask mixed with being a centaur.

'You really don't know when to stop do you?' is the first he asks Fundy when it all ends and when Fundy just chuckles out a 'no,' Sam sighs. Sam doesn't truly know what about the kid makes him invite him to his table but he doesn't regret it.

‘Guys, Sammie’s picked up another stray.’ Tubbo’s remark makes the others look up, seeing their centaur friend walk over with a fox hybrid

‘And he’s not in Hermes’ cabin? Being a fox and all.’ Crumb flicks 5up’s head. ‘That’s like asking if you should be in Hestia’s cabin. Or that I should be in Artemis’ cabin.’

Their conversation ending as the duo sits down, ‘Guys, meet Fundy. Fundy, this is Tubbo, 5up, Crumb, & Ranboo.’

‘Enderman if you’re wondering.’ Ranboo gestures to his dual colored skin. ‘Oh, figured it’d be rude to ask.’

When they make charms for their necklaces, they make sure no one gets the one they made; Fundy gives his to Crumb, Crumb gives its to Ranboo, Ranboo gives theirs to Sam, Sam gives his to 5Up and 5up gives his to Fundy

Exchanging numbers so that they can still talk/bitch to one another when they leave camp and return to normie life

There is some prophecy buried somewhere stating that on the day Bad finally swears, the world as humanity knows it would come to an end.

Sometime after the Crimsonpocalypse, someone finds this. And, seeing as how the last time bad swore was when his father arrived, they have made it one of their main concerns to keep Bad from swearing.

Every time Quackity, Tommy or someone else tries to get Bad to swear, this person gets a mini heart attack.

Bad is extremely oblivious to the reason as to why this person has suddenly started following him around a lot more often.

The longest amount of time 5up has ever been able to keep a plant alive was in college. He made sure to check exactly what that kind of plant needed. It had the right kind of soil. He had a little lamp set up on a timer to make sure it got just enough light. He checked its soil every day, watering it whenever it was dry and only when it was dry. His roommate thought he was crazy. It was just a jade plant. They’re pretty difficult to kill. (5up informed his roommate that he was fairly certain that he was cursed).

Somehow, against all odds, 5up managed to keep the darn thing alive… up until the end of the first semester. He wasn’t even sure what he did. He’d stayed up all night the night before studying, and had still been doing fine then. Admittedly, he hadn’t checked it that morning in the rush to get out the door to his physics exam, but… Point is, it was dead by the time he got back. (5up’s roommate now fully believes him about the curse. I mean, how the heck do you kill a jade plant? On top of that, none of their potted plants have been doing so great lately…)

Doc has a fairly sizable hydroponics setup in his lab bunker. Said hydroponics set up is in a room adjacent to the main lab, with a huge (bulletproof, obviously, given the rest of the security in the place) window instead of a wall, so you can see the plants. When the Crimsonpocalypse hit, Fundy’s first sign that anything was wrong was seeing every single plant in the hydroponics room wither and die at once. Then he looked over at 5up. His eyes were glowing subtly and his burgundy sweater had turned grey.

thinking about the fact that ranboo's lore is hard to get into and impossible to get the full picture of without watching literally hundreds of hours of vods that may or may not be archived and also are occasionally scattered across other peoples vods completely randomly including but not limited to awesamdude, philza, capt. puffy, tubbo, tommy, fundy, or wilbur and that many of *these* vods were not archived, not to mention the ARG. and also the fact that this is by design and when given the opportunity to rectify this by doing a recap stream, ranboo did it "in character", meaning a vast majority of these smaller details were completely omitted and lore in chill streams is completely unlabelled because cc ranboo just didn't want to do it, or because he wanted people to watch his streams regardless of if it was lore or not so countless scenes are buried and lost to time, even those that give vital information to his character, such as the two scenes with the plan board that i hardly ever see referenced. and cc ranboo insisting you can understand his character without following the enderwalk arc and then like half of his solo lore is exclusively about the enderwalk arc and ive been following this trail of crumbs hopelessly for over a year now and i have to deal with people having shitty uninformed lore takes and i have to look at this and know that it was done by design that you can follow ranboo lore and get the broader picture through recaps and analyses but will you ever experience digging through or archiving ranboo's inventory from stream to stream to pick out when things were happening off camera? or will you ever stream hop in the middle of the school day for the hope of maybe spotting him wandering around in the background of another stream, maybe sending a cryptic message in chat? do you still watch every single stream trying to connect it to ranboo's story somehow, and then somehow manage to be RIGHT even when ranboo hasn't logged on in a month? do you theorize and theorize based on information given to us a year ago and get that confirmation a year later, only for people who haven't been watching from the start to insist this just means he was manipulated and has no autonomy? and you just have to sit there and hunt for clips that may or may not exist because c ranboo is unreliable and cc ranboo is allergic to confirming anything about the enderwalk state, knowing that this misinformation is by design and so much of this arc is preserved in your memory and in analyses long lost to time or deleted discord servers with months of backlogs and liveblogging from this era. theres so few clips to prove anything outright because none of this information is ever given outright. it's implied, suggested, spread across 4 streams. its a culmination, a build up over time repeatedly slowed down by scheduling issues and real life getting in the way. and it SUCKS because so many of these facts are what make this story well written. but it also makes it exclusionary by design and things get abandoned and pushed to the side and maybe retconned maybe not, maybe reworked and adjusted and it all adds up to something but it's impossible to know what and i adore this story. i adore it because i've had this experience and i've been there from the start. it just makes me a little bit sad because it seems to gatekeep itself and if i weren't a college student and super fucking busy, i'd do it. i'd rewatch the streams from december, january, february, march, and i'd document it all. i'd clip it and give you all the information i build my perceptions of this character off of from back to front, but i physically cannot and that makes me sad. maybe this is a commentary on how inaccessible the DSMP is but it feels like ranboo turns that up to 11. i've been hyperfixated on ranboo's story for over a year now and i want to share that experience, and i do in every way i can. but it's fucking hard sometimes.

These are weeks 1-4, and week 5 will be in a separate post bc of image limit(derogatory) and I worked really hard on this!! (more thoughts and stuff under the cut, I got kind of rambly haha)

It was super fun to draw in this style and I feel like I learned a lot about shading and shapes (shoes especially) by trying to recreate the style of a professional artist. I think I'll do more exercises like this in the future, just to keep learning!! Also obligatory reminder that these drawings are referenced HEAVILY from the original game sprites. I was trying to draw the cog champers(and dream) like they would be a mod for the game, so the poses and style are extremely similar if not the same. If I were to redo these illustrations I might put more personality and originality into the poses, but I didn't actually study the style at all before creating the first illustration (fundy, the one I posted here is actually a redraw to make him higher quality, the original was too small)

So yeah, over all, this was super fun and I'd definitely do it again. Maybe I'll redraw some of these in the future to be more creative, you can tell which ones I drew later on bc of the variety in poses and expressions, I was a lot more comfortable with the style (tho I did keep my own eyes and mouth style bc expressions are something thats really important to my style and I didn't want to feel like I was just like,, tracing) Sorry for rambling so long, I'll put this under a cut for all the people who just want to see pretty art.

On a more art related note, you may have noticed that Dream is Pico, you may be thinking "but dream isn't on Cogchamp" and you're Right. I didn't know what else to do okay? He's fundy's Ex so it kind of fits??? I dunno man, I gave him a more steam punk mask but kept the majority of his design similar to my normal dream design, so as to keep the Dream vibe. Yknow where he's always just a green blob? It kinda slaps tbh, branding is important.

Also regarding Prime Bell, again, I didn't know what else to do, I was thinking of doing something with the egg, but that's not on cogchamp (thank goodness) so I needed something else. I decided that the only like, tangentially related thing I could do was make an Evil prime bell, based on how Sam steals it idk maybe in this world its always the demon thing and is kinda like the ring from lord of the rings, where once you have it you can't give it up. In any case designing Prime Bell took a while (plus some help from Yipcord and Chaos Crew thx guys ❤ and specifically @valpurgatory who is what inspired me to personify the Prime Bell in the first place with their turn everything into a women philosophy (I @ed him so you can check out his blog he slaps. She's like the go to for saving women from Wilbur Soot's dirty mits)) but drawing it was surprisingly quick, mostly due to the fact that I figured out how to easily recreate the texture on the Lemon Monster's body. I did no shading bc that's what the Lemon monster looks like, and it kind of hurt bc it just looks kind of unfinished to me,,, I had some trouble with the week 5 design for Prime Bell bc I didn't want to abandon my first idea. I probably should have and would have gotten a better result, but I can't be bothered tbh. This is the 3rd day I'm working on this project (these were surprisingly quick the churn out, probably bc I was having a blast) and I simply do not want to alter anything. My idea was good but the execution didn't pan out. What am I saying the week 5 prime bell design isn't even on this post sjjdjsks

Anyway, go check out fnf(Friday Night Funkin) it's a rhythm game, it's free and the OST Slaps. I'd also highly recommend listening to the Whitty mod songs and the Neo mod songs,,,, good good music.

Collection of all the current “final” designs of the dsmp dnd au... with 5up and crumb, because I love them both very very much.

Incidentally, they’re also the designs I describe in use for my fantasy/magic au fanfic. Y’know, in case you wanna check that out.

Everything is subject to change but here’s what’s in this post! (Under read more for length!)

Tubbo: College of Spirits bard. Not as much lore reasoning, but I think it’s fun.

Wilbur: College of Eloquence bard. Wilbur is incredibly good at talking, both in encouraging and lifting people up, but also the reverse; his words can be cutting, off-putting, setting people back six steps.

Dream: Mastermind Rogue, potentially with level drops in Fighter for action surge. Mastermind is like, self-explanatory, because what is he if not a mastermind? Able to puppet others? I have a lot of design notes for dream which I’ll separate out to the bottom.

Karl: Chronomancy Wizard! Manipulator of time, baby. Wizards have spellbooks, which also fits in line with Karl’s use of numerous books to keep his history in memory. Also intelligence as a primary score!

Skeppy: Eldritch Knight Fighter. Sacrificing himself to the egg wasn’t a good choice, but it was an incredibly smart choice; Skeppy’s strong scores are dex and int, though str isn’t low. He’s good at combat, and has magic in the branches of protection, which is exactly what he tries to do with Bad. During Red Skeppy arcs, I think he’d have a level drop or initiate feat in Warlock.

Fundy: Forge Domain Cleric. Church of prime man that is skilled at making things. Fundy was... difficult to pin down, and maybe forge domain cleric isn’t the best thing, but I like it for him! So I’m keeping it.

Ranboo: One of the only people to undergo a class change singe original headcanon, Ranboo is a Great Old One Tome Pact Warlock! Books, an all-seeing eldrich creature utilising him to help it, and psychic-based powers that also centre communication? PLUS the Gift of the Protectors invocation fits SO WELL with the list of friends that he keeps in the book!

5up: I don’t actually have a class for 5up! I’d put him probably at early glance at Arcane Trickster Rogue. Intelligence is a strong suit, a little bit of magic (incl illusion and enchantment), and he’s good at killing too. Seems fitting, considering how good pink man is at among us.

Crumb: Circle of Stars Druid. It’s because she’s a star. Next question.

Dream’s design notes

Bright colors aren't great for sneaking, which is why theyre minimal accents. It's important to be stylish, but not at the sacrifice of stealth. Still, are you really a rogue if you dont have that poppin aesthetic? Cape/cloak is tied around the waist so it's kept our of the way. poofs out at back. Dream team wristbands!!! ik canonically the relationship is Tense rn but *i* cant not draw one of the dteam without a sign of the others, even if its all gone to shit! leather??? cufflets on arm/wrist are symbolic of manacles, or at least thats the intention. Dream is just as shackled to this ultimate plan as everyone else is, regardless of his god complex. I hc that ender chests can like... grow/shrink like pokéball, and pockets r just Bags of Holding Axe (hatchet) and explosives are kept close at hand, everything else stays in the Magic Pockets/Ender Chest. (Also consider dream eyes under mask... look like eyes of ender. thanks.)

Just for some reason never really grew into his hybrid traits And purple eyes He gets so upset about it too, when Tubbos horns outgrow his, because he’s older He’s a bit different. But it’s like being brunette in a family of blondes. It’s not unheard of He just is tearing up and Phil is just like “oh Bud, come ‘ere” They're like 8 And Tommy just gives Purpled the biggest hug, because Tommy is a sweetheart as a kid ------------------- I think that even the older kids wrestle Like obviously Dream, Techno and the rest of the middle school gang do Because they’re so fucking competitive Dream is so quick to just. Grab someone and wrestle them to the floor No warning But like, you’ll catch Wilbur and Schlatt jumping at each other Or Wilbur throwing Fundy over his shoulder Or anyone just man handling gogy ------------------- Phil gets to a point where he calls them all his kids And asks where they are when they aren’t At his house ------------------------ Puffy bringing them (Dream and Purpled) over after school. They go outside and play. Puffy sighs and collapses at the dining table. man i think So Much abt where dsmp should go from here.. i think there should definitely be a little boom in people added, people like michaelmcchill who want to learn about lore, and im definitely excited for puffys lorecast stuff because i really think some of the servers weakness comes from the fact that ccs dont keep up with each other, its one thing to play a character as intentionally not knowing and risk the possibility of slipping up and another to Not Know and therefore have your character have a bias against learning because you think you know what you need to know when you dont

adding ccs who *want* to be involved with lore can help with filling in the gaps between big lore streams, like said ranboo was a good addition because the dude not only knows the lore ooc but is connected to other people while still having his own story (fundy is also good at this). it also means getting new attachments and possibly even moving others along in their arcs because they want to learn (like foolish does with tubbo, tommy, eret, the eggpire in general, puffy, etc etc), not to mention just some refreshingly fun shenanigans without worrying about lore too much because they came after all the wars and can introduce some peace to contrast the tension. or even bring *more* tension so that we can get a Snap moment.

i also think ccs that connect to dsmp ccs while out of character can be good if they want to help build up backstory (like for example, if sparklez or crumb were added and helped with establishing wtf is going on w/ c!tubbos backstory and actively getting him to talk about wth happened w questioning and shit)

server moving wise, i want it to be a genuine "we need to move onwards because this place has a lot of hurt and reminders of trauma in every corner" moment, where ccs who want to do their own thing can say that theyre going somewhere else and wont follow, and ccs that want to continue on into season 2 can go as a group. maybe occassionally mention visits back to the old server, have people make new homes thatll have new history, probably find a way to move the pets and children as well since i dont think the ccs will be willing to leave behind michael and fran and foolish jr and finley and all KNXKSB. but yeah. id want it to be them starting a new life in character, and then moving on with new people and having newbies trickle in again

either that or they finish up the story and find a way to either just introduce this as a New Thing with new dynamics (like how origins smp is), i personally think having characters separate from the streamer personalities could be good but not completely necessary. really just depends on how attached the ccs are to certain concepts lol -🎭🎪

I agree with pretty much all of this, especially the idea of the dsmp ending with 'maybe it would be best for us to leave' or New Thing with New Characters. even a mix could work well

Fundy Week, Day 6 - Self Love

MCC distracted me for a bit, so this is kinda late again, but that's okay because I had fun watching it! Here's what I managed to create for @fundyfiles' Fundy Week today! Another fic not taking place on DSMP, but on Cogchamp this time! You can also find it on my Ao3!

Summary: Fundy has an incredible day with his cogchamp friends, and finds a reason after a reason to feel proud of himself.

Fundy awoke to the soft humming of the machinery near him and the smell of fresh bread. He slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes before allowing himself to look around. He found himself in one of the beds near the bread factory, just barely out of shade the windmill gave. He also spotted 5up and Sam in the two other beds, right by his side, both still asleep. He considered waking them up, but eventually decided to let them rest for a bit longer, it was such a peaceful morning after all.

He carefully left the bed and after briefly straightening the sheets, he made his way towards the wheat farm. Noticeably, the plants managed to grow overnight, meaning that they could run the tractor again before heading back to their main bases. But with that, he wanted to wait for everyone to wake up. That’s why, instead, he made his way over to the bread factory itself, watching as the last bits of wheat and seeds were getting sorted.

This was nice. Even after working for the entire night, the machine seemed to be just as efficient, he, Crumb, and 5up must’ve done a really great job building it. With a smile on his face, he slowly made his way around it, admiring all the different parts of it and looking back on when they built it. Sure, there were some issues they had to deal with back then, but he was proud to conclude that they found just the right ways around them. Everything seemed to be flawless now.

He finally reached the chest collecting all the bread being produced and opened it, making the smell of freshly baked pastry in the air far more intense. He simply enjoyed it for a moment before reaching inside and taking out a bunch of loaves, some still hot at the touch. He carefully placed them in a bag he had with him. Surely, that would be enough for everyone, right? He couldn’t wait for the big breakfast they were planning, the bread from the factory always seemed to taste so much better when they all shared it. His peaceful thoughts were stopped by a quiet explosion nearby, followed by two shocked gasps.

“I didn’t do that!” Sam claimed, backing away from the now-smoking tractor. 5up was near him, trying not to laugh.

“I mean, I’m not the one who touched it,” he pointed out before approaching the machine and examining it. “...Hm, maybe if we just…” he wondered, and whatever he did, made more smoke raise.

“Oh god, it broke again?” Fundy asked, joining the two near the machine.

“Yeah…” Sam nodded, not risking approaching it again.

“Great. Let me take a look,” the fox hybrid sighed, removing a detachable piece of it see the mechanism inside. “Hm. This looks fixable,” he decided, reaching inside and rearranging the gears while the other two watched.

“Do you need anything?” 5up asked, making Fundy pause for a moment.

“Yeah, my wrench, actually,” he decided. “Oh, also a bucket of water,” he added after taking one more look inside.

“I can get the water,” Sam offered, grabbing a bucket laying nearby and heading towards the river close to the farm.

“I’ll get the wrench, then,” 5up concluded, heading away as well.

“Thanks,” Fundy called after them before going back to his previous job.

Soon enough, he had all the things he asked for. He used the water to clean a couple of cogs and secured some others with the wrench before putting the casing back on. He patted the machine for good luck, and it didn’t explode at the touch, so that was a great sign. He nodded to himself in approval before turning to look at his company again.

“Alright, that should be working now. Who wants to go inside?” he asked, and watched as the two glanced at each other.

“Can I do that?” Sam asked, looking between 5up and Fundy.

“Go ahead,” 5up nodded, Fundy mirroring the gesture.

“Yeah, of course!” he confirmed, and Sam quickly climbed into the tractor. By the time he did, Fundy was already by the button, ready to set the machine into motion. “If it explodes, that’s on me,” he warned, and the creeper hybrid turned to look at him.

“Wait, then-” he tried to say, but Fundy already pressed the button. The tractor let out a concerning sound, as it usually did, before moving from its place and quickly riding into the wheat.

Fundy and 5up both laughed as Sam almost lost his balance when the machine moved, but to the fox hybrid’s credit, it seemed to work flawlessly. They both quickly calmed themselves and just watched as the tractor collected the grown wheat and Sam cheered from inside of it.

“I am just so great at fixing it,” Fundy hummed to himself, and 5up nodded.

“You sure are,” he agreed, loosely following the tractor with his gaze. “Don’t think we’d manage to fix it without you.”

“Thanks,” the fox hybrid smiled, it felt nice to be appreciated.

“Of course. W-wait- Crumb’s flowers!” 5up remembered, already running towards the small field of colorful plants.

“Oh no!” Fundy gasped, following close behind.

They reached their main bases and reunited with Tubbo, Ranboo, and Crumb a bit over an hour later, and finally got to eat their breakfast together. Everyone complimented the bread, it really seemed to taste better when they could share it with each other. As it turned out, the other 3 prepared something as well, so after the food Fundy brought was finished, they all got to enjoy a small cake as well. Maybe it wasn’t quite a ‘breakfast’ kind of food, but it sure tasted great, and what more could they expect?

“Oh, by the way!” Fundy started once they were all done eating. “I want to show you all a little project I worked on recently!” he explained, and everyone seemed curious.

“Sure, what is it?” Sam asked, but the fox hybrid shook his head.

“A surprise?” he answered after a moment.

“I hope it doesn’t explode,” Ranboo commented, getting up from his seat as a way of showing that he was ready to go.

“I mean… that could be kind of cool, though?” Tubbo suggested, ready to follow Fundy as well.

“Yeah! Explosions are cool!” Crumb agreed cheerfully.

“Look, I can promise it won’t kill you,” Fundy guaranteed, though it did not reassure anyone.

“Great. So it explodes?” 5up asked, but received no answer. “Alright, lead the way,” he decided.

“Everyone follow me, then!” the fox hybrid hummed, walking in the direction of his and Ranboo’s mine.

He led all of his friends down the cobblestone stairs, into the said mine, and it didn’t take them long to reach the bottom of it. There, the most noticeable change was a giant wall made out of wooden planks, blocking the view into one of the tunnels. It was mostly blank, but a couple of leavers were placed neatly next to one another in the right corner. Fundy quickly ran over to them, and most of the people followed him. Only Ranboo stayed behind, baffled at the new wall.

“For how long has this thing been here?” he asked, carefully approaching it.

“A week?” Fundy answered uncertainly, putting a hand over the first leaver.

“So, what is this?” 5up asked, curiously putting a hand on the wall.

“Step back, listen, and find out yourselves,” the fox hybrid instructed before pulling the first leaver. For a moment, everything was quiet, but then, a steady melody sounded from behind the wall. “Alright, now this…” he muttered to himself, pulling a few more leavers. And with each one, more sounds appeared on the other side.

“...Is that a noteblock song?” Sam asked finally, quietly enough to avoid speaking over the music. Fundy nodded excitedly as he pulled the final leaver.

“Yeah!” he confirmed with a proud grin, listening to the music on the other side of the wall.

“That’s amazing!” Ranboo said quietly.

“Yeah! Did you do that yourself?” Tubbo asked, amazement written all over his face.

“I sure did!” he confirmed, stepping back and joining his friends. “I guess I still need to fix the pacing a little bit, but it’s fine, isn’t it?”

“It’s perfect!” Crumb answered almost immediately, and most of the people muttered quiet agreements.

“Hm, can I see how this works later?” 5up asked, trying to see if there was any way of going around the wall.

“Well, it’s not too impressive back there, it’s just some Redstone slapped together,” Fundy admitted, watching everyone’s reactions. Some of his friends turned to look at him, surprised.

“Wait, you didn’t use any cogs or anything?” Tubbo asked, a confused frown appearing on his face briefly.

“Yeah! This was a hobby of mine, I built things like that long before figuring out that cogs even existed,” the fox hybrid explained.

“That’s really cool!” Ranboo said, nodding along to the music.

“Now I really want to see the Redstone behind it!” 5up admitted. “I tried making one a while back, but it wouldn’t work no matter what I did.”

“Oh, I can show you how to make them work whenever you want me to!” Fundy offered quickly.

“I want to learn too!” Crumb announced.

“Can I tag along? I really want to make one myself, too,” Sam added. Fundy nodded quickly.

“Yeah, of course! We can make it like, a noteblock course for everyone, if you want?” he suggested. Tubbo and Ranboo glanced at each other before nodding.

“Let’s do that!” Tubbo agreed with a smile.

“That sounds like a lot of fun,” Ranboo hummed.

After that, they all went quiet and listened to the music, and Fundy felt proud of how it came out. Suddenly, even the one off-beat part of the song sounded as if it was meant to be there, creating a new harmony with the other noteblocks. He smiled, allowing himself to relax. Using cogs or not, he managed to create something quite beautiful.

“Hey, Fundy?” Crumb called after him not long after they left the mine.

“Yeah, Crumb?” he answered, stopping to let her catch up to him.

“...Do we have any cocoa beans? I want to try making chocolate milk,” she asked finally after a moment of hesitation.

“Hm… Don’t think we do… I don’t think we even found a proper jungle yet,” he answered, but still tried to search his memory for something that could help.

“Oh. That’s alright, we’ll find one soon!” the cat hybrid concluded. That’s when Fundy’s face lit up as he remembered something useful.

“You know what I do have, though?” he asked. She looked at him with curiosity as she waited for him to explain. “...I have a flying machine almost ready for takeoff. If you help me get some glue, we could probably finish it today! And then, we can fly it to find a jungle!” he realized, a bright smile appearing on his face as he formed the plan.

“That’s awesome!” Crumb gasped. “I’ll go look for some glue!” she decided, quickly running off to start her search.

“I’ll be by my base!” he called after her before heading there, filled with newfound energy to finish the machine.

Unlike what he heard in the morning, the machinery was far louder as he watched the sunset. He wasn’t too surprised though, the flying machine seemed a bit scuffed from the very beginning. Still, it took off first-try, so as he watched the sun hide behind the horizon, he put that on his list of things to be proud of. He did amazing, he and everyone else who contributed to the build.

Despite the loud sounds, it was relaxing to sit up there and watch the world from above. And despite someone already threatening to throw someone else off, it felt peaceful. Fundy found himself smiling, this was great. He couldn’t think of a place he was happier at, he’d be lying if he said it wasn’t Cogchamp.

This was home.

Can I please ask for a crumb of build up this season

It took a WEEK for them to introduce the idea of nukes and then straight up whip out an entire nuclear arsenal. What?

Imagine your internet is out for a month and you can’t watch streams.

L’manburg is still very much alive! Well and kicking! You finally get everything fixed and rush over to catch up on streams and, what’s this? Nukes on the Dream SMP??

How many plot points have happened during the first 19 days of 2021? How many of them hit even half as hard as when Wilbur blew up L’manburg, when tommy traded his discs for L’manburg’s independence, or literally ANYTHING that happened before 20201?

Do they think we’d like this more? Quantity over quality? Are they worried about their precious viewer retention?

If they did literally all the exact same plotlines over the span of three months instead of three weeks, I know nobody would have these kinds of problems. Characters turn on a dime because the concept of time is completely twisted within the Dream SMP.

I’ll take a step back and say that I’m not really that mad. I’m slightly upset by what feels to me like wasted potential. We all loved Wilbur’s arc for how relateable it was, even when he made himself the villain and blew up the place he built from the ground up. It was heart wrenching to see him fall down that spiral.

But now? With Nikki and Fundy’s “villain” arcs? What’s even going on? Maybe it’s my own fault for not watching every stream from their perspective, but there just aren’t enough hours in the day to keep up anymore.

And I’m sorry, nukes? NUKES??? Nukes took centuries of innovation before anyone even thought of the POSSIBILITY of splitting atoms. THERE’S NO ELECTRICITY IN MINECRAFT AND THEY MADE NUKES???????

Whyyyyyyyyy tubbo whyyyyyyyyyyyy would you even- waaaaaaahtubboooooo yes its a texture pack but they’re gonna treat them like real nukes in rp waaaaaaaahahahaaaaah

Technoblade and Dream essentially nuked L’manburg, but they used technology that was actually available to them. What are they even planning to nuke? I’m so lost man-

I’m losin it chief I wish I could drift away from the smp but unfortunately the hyperfixation is too strong

Let’s hope this is just that one bad season that every good TV show is apparently required to have

week 5!! no week 6 bc pixel art hard (that's a bit of a lie I have a few plans about maybe doing it, but I wanted to post this set haha)

We have Christmas themed outfits!

I had to redraw fundy's sprite to make the pose I wanted work, but it was worth is bc look at he,,,, (also I know, the speakers don't have the lights on them, I just,, I couldn't find a transperent png to steal and I Really didn't feel like drawing it myself like I did with the original speakers, so I left it. Sue me /lh /j)

5up was easier, bc I could just edit the sprite, it was the fastest edit, contested only by the Prime Bell edit, which I also just had to edit the drawing for.

bee boys timmeee!! its really upsetting that weirdChamp shippers took the name "End*rb**s" bc it would have been a great duo name :( But I couldn't even use the old sprites for major reference on this one, or even the original sprites! The pose for this one is unique to better fit their personalities (and to keep it more visually /p) and it took the longest, im really happy with the end result tho! I think this and Prime Bell are the drawings I'm most proud of in this set... and week 5 fundy I mean look at him!!

(tw for a pistol for this one, if you've seen the game the og charas are actually holding Santa at gunpoint in the mall to steal his chair for... style points ig)

And finally, week 5 Prime Bell!! I've mentioned it twice already on just this post but I have thoughts about this one. It was mostly a quick edit, but I had trouble with where to put the eyes and teeth. I'm still not quite satisfied with how it turned out, but I think it's kind of funny, and I had to a) settle or b) come up with a new idea. And I came up with the week 5 prime bell concept before I even designed the normal version! I was not letting this go (though maybe I should've haha)

no rambles at the end this time, bc I've said most of what I wanted to say on the first post. I'm sad I couldn't desing a Christmas outfit for Crumb and Sam tho,,, they deserve it. (not dream sorry dream you were here out of necessity)
