#even though the creator is LITERALLY a black woman
Text
Hey y'all welcome back to the hit show
'You MFers Be Racist!'
I'm your host, Roman and on today's show we're gonna be talking about how Miguel, a Latino man looks... Latino.
*audience gasps*
Now audience, what if I told you there's literally people mad they made Miguel darker in ATSV 😭😭
They're saying it's racist because 'if a black character got turned white-'
Tumblr media
Like they ain't even change his ethnicity. Just the fact that he's darker makes them angry.
Same hair color same eye color but he's like four shades darker
Oh my god the creators are so evil for making a *checks notes* brownskin Latino man
Tumblr media
Someone said they prefer Miguel's ATSV design because of the brownskin Latino rep
- and they got called an Anti-White Racist (me and Hobie cackling in the next room) and then anon tried to explain how ethnicities and races in Mexico work
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y'all do not understand how pervasive racism is in the Spider-man community.
It goes to show how so many 'allies' work and cheer for black solidarity UNTIL black or brown people do something they can't relate to.
Oh, Hobie might wanna date black girls to bond over the shares experiences of racism and anti-blackness? NO THAT'S RACIST how dare he hold parts of his blackness so dear that he wants to be able to share it to his partner with complete understanding? Race shouldn't matter at all to him!! And if it does he's a racist and so are you!!!!!!! You holding your culture dear is not allowed.
For the racists in the fandom, It's racist and upsetting to imply that POC might have a stronger connection to a black character than them.
Oh, brown Latinos are happy that Miguel is brown skin rep now? NO THAT'S RACIST how dare you change the characters skin color by four shades darker even if he's still the same ethnicity and nationality.
How dare you give rep to a largest part of the demographic he's always been apart of
Y'all are the mfers that gave Zendaya - a mixed race self-described Black woman - a hard time.
Yeah mfer I ain't forget that shit!!!!!
Tumblr media
Back when casting Zendaya as MJ was seen as racist and 'race switching' and 'what if they made Miles white that wouldn't be okay so this shouldn't be okay either'
even though there's already a white Spider-man but no black canon spiderman love interest despite the character being around for over half a fucking century.
Because even though Zendaya shares Caucasian ancestory like Mary-Jane has, Zendaya is very clearly a person of color, and since she doesn't look white, that's not enough.
(And don't even get me STARTED on the shit she got for actually dating Tom. Or people who say they want his Black Cat to be white so he can 'get back to' yt women)
Sure, Miguel is mixed - sharing white ancestory with his father. But he's clearly a person of color now, and since he doesn't look white anymore, that's not enough for y'all.
The racism is wild. It's wild and clear.
And that's all from me folks! See you next time on 'Y'all MFers be Racist!!'
Maybe next time we can talk about how Jessica Drew wasn't that much in the wrong. And how she was way less in the wrong than Peter B. And how y'all put responsibility on Black women while also giving a pass to white male incompetency in the same breath.
Tune in next time because trust me these racists will strike again and so will I 😭😭🧐🧐

Round 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda Under Cut
Allura
Lots of people (myself included tbh) ship klance (Keith and Lance). In s8 the creators made Allura/Lance canon (but then they killed her off and left the ending ambiguous it was weird). Anyway the fandom treats her like she's the most terrible bitchy woman ever but all she wants to do is end the war and avenge her destroyed home planet. Yeah she wasn't always the nicest or always the best, but you could argue some other characters in the show aren't either and they aren't treated near as bad as allura. people really just hate her bc Lance liked her. I don't think allura/lance are good together, but I still liked her as a character and thought she was interesting and had a lot of growth during the show. she DEF is not evil like some people portray her as in fic or talk about her in captions on posts. I've seen people say that they HATE her and that she's the worst and I'm like ??? let her live (well sort of ig she is dead now). lots of fic writers use her as the villain which is so interesting to me bc the show literally has villains like use them. anyway allura so perfectly fits the bracket description she deserves better.
I hate to acknowledge my time in this fandom but I hate the way the fandom treated her more. Allura was treated like shit no matter what side of the Great Ship War you were on because she was always a threat to the biggest ships (klance and sheith). At best she got put into Background Lesbian or Consolation Prize Shallura (Space Mom-zoned) (She was not a motherly figure btw. She was just Black). At worst she was violently demonized for being ~racist~ (kinda not cool with the alien race that blew up her planet for a few episodes), complete with misogynistic language hurled at her (she got called a bitch sooo much). Allura was a good and cool character and the show did her dirty but the fandom was somehow worse.
i apologise for speaking the dark magicks, but amidst the voltron fandoms many, many transgressions, there were a particular subset of people who just hated this girl. the infamous klance wars of the 2010s kept this perfectly fine childrens cartoon character in the sights of shippers everywhere, and she (and her voice actress im sure) were subjected to years of petty squabble blown up to global perportions. ive seen hate, ive seen rants, ive seen fanfics that made her homophobic. girls been through the ringer, and even though voltron was never the show its fandom wanted it to be, i believe allura deserved better
Every Supernatural Woman
Supernatural is so mean to women and committed to queerbaiting but it still gives Sam and Dean lovers to kill. The writers kill and villainize them and the fans get the few that remain
wincest and destiel shippers cannot handle the idea of their blorbos having a Woman THREATENING their SHIPS god FORBID
It literally used to be a running joke that if a female character got introduced you knew she was going to die soon because fans would react so negatively to her "stealing" one of the boys away from the big ship, whether it be destiel or wincest

sooo i'm watching james somerton's apology video (an unlisted reupload because i do not want to give him money!) and i'm only 2:31/43:01 in but i already have so many thoughts about how manipulatively worded this video is so i thought i'd make a blog post about it, maybe see what some other people thought.
james tries to frame himself as a wellmeaning, albiet privledged, white cis gay man. he tries to say that he was trying to be a voice for the queer community because he wanted to uplift more marginalized members of the queer community. i think this is inherently false.
the way james repeatedly presented himself to his audience was that he was the only person talking about the issues he was discussing (while stealing other people's words, but we'll come back to that in a second). he literally said "people thought i was crazy until i explained it and then they came around to seeing it my way" (maybe he didn't say it exactly that way, i'm paraphrasing, but you get my point). him trying to say that this is not what he did is so obviously untrue. he DID do that. multiple times. he propped himself up as the only gay creator talking about the issues he discussed, and rarely promoted other queer content creators. if he wanted to be a spokesperson for the queer community, he would have at least mentioned other queer people who talked about issues he found important, rather than just stealing their content and reposting it as his own. it's disingenuous to call himself a spokesperson when he never highlighted the people he was supposedly speaking for.
it wouldn't be bad, per se, if james was actually trying to be a spokesperson for the queer community, though i think that even if that motivation were true, it'd still be misguiding. while allyship from more privileged members of the community is important, it feels like a bit of a white savior complex for him to claim that he wanted to be a spokesperson for the queer community. plenty of other people are much more qualified to be spokespeople for the queer community, and i personally think that if the queer community did have a spokesperson, it would make more sense for them to be a black trans woman instead of a cis white gay man.
and back to the stealing part. if you wanted to be a spokesperson for a community, you'd respect them. you'd credit their work. you'd make it clear where you were quoting them, and you'd promote their content, not just the content you're citing or borrowing from, but other things that they create that you find meaningful or interesting. james never did this. if someone made an intelligent article about queerness in media, he wouldn't promote it. he'd steal it, and use it along with some stock footage with an intro he bought to make a video where the only acknowledgement the article would receive is a vague "based on" credit, assuming they'd get anything at all.
so, no. i don't believe james is telling the truth. he had many opportunities to come clean. he was called out before, and instead of being honest, he chose to lie. and i hope that the best job that he can find in the future is being a fry cook at burger king, where he can experience just a tiny taste of the exploitation that he utilized to make thousands of dollars off of small queer writers.

so im white, lets just get that out of the way, but i wanna talk about the orientalism in windblades design.
this doesnt feel like my place to talk about but if no one brings it up then no ones gonna learn about it or second guess it. im tired of other white people not noticing this problem or thinking its fine. if anyone asian (specifically japanese) has any thoughts or personal input it is SUPER fucking welcome! its hard to find people talking about this.
so transformers has a women problem in general. they set up women in the 80s in one episode and never elaborated on it in that show. they added arcee in the movie. they put a couple in the beast wars era, but outside of blackarachnia (becoming a literal succubus) we dont really get any of those characters adapted (besides arcee) over iterations. never any new ones really.
then the comics get windblade. i havent read the comics, this isnt about anything that happens in them. this is about her design how she comes off as as shes been adapted into cartoons. i wont comment on events from the comics outside of her origin, as i know fuck all about it.
so she was supposedly a fan-voted character, but her 'fan-voted' aspects have nothing to do with the problem (in fact the fan-vote was more of a suggestion because a few things dont end up being true) the voted aspects are as follows:
autobot. jet. fights with swords. red & black. named windblade. female. valiant. telepath. from Kaon.
so here's what that ends up looking like.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so they took some liberties. there was other concepts where she was a european knight etc, but this is where they landed. she has this extremely feminine figure, complete with makeup and sculpted hair. many people immediately mistake this look for a geisha (though supposedly being kabuki) she gets little pump heels, it makes her very human woman shaped. birthing hips and all. thats classic girl robot stuff. its the specifics of it that are an issue.
Tumblr media
so thats kind of a lot of japanese motifs. the makeup, the swords, the hair... why does it look like human hair? thats a very specific hairstyle on a character who doesnt have hair...
on its own, having a japanese inspired aesthetic isnt the problem. i mean, coding characters to be from different places is fine. having characters coded as a specific race could be fine. jazz already exists, and despite being taken by racist creators sometimes (cough michael bay cough) its not inherently bad that he is black coded, specifically when in the hands of black creators/voices. thats key.
so having a transformer who landed in japan and took on some culture from there. you could see that happening. that could work if in the hands of people who were japanese.
but thats not even her backstory. shes not even from Kaon (as was voted), instead she's from another planet entirely, a more spiritual one, which narratively makes her alienated from cybertronians. this alienation adds to the problem. "shes not from here." "shes not like us."
you'll see many people look at this design and think "is that geisha transformer?" and as the character isnt from japan and knows nothing about the culture that inspired her, the media itself never corrects anyone. no one in the text goes "no shes not a geisha shes actually based on a kabuki performer", no one says any words about it, its just how she looks, its just aesthetics without explanation or cultural background. shes not literally japanese, she just looks it. its easy to mistake without cultural context from a western perspective, so calling her a geisha becomes a rampant problem. general audiences arent looking at forum posts form 2014 where someone correctly explains what the motifs are. shes made by white people, and white people are largely the ones consuming the media. its unfortunate, and could have been avoided if the culture shes inspired by was relevant to her character.
so she's clearly heavily inspired by japanese aesthetics, which codes her as being an asian woman in this media but written by non japanese people. and then she becomes so popular that she has to start making appearances in shows.
she shows up in robots in disguise first. lets compare her to strongarm (the only other girl in the show)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
having this japanese woman be far more thin and feminized than the other girl characters is the problem. strongarm is literally the first non feminized main girl transformer (not counting strika) she is much more in line with the men around her, square and broadshouldered, shes the largest car of the bunch. that was an upgrade finally. and then we get windblade. she has ruby red lipstick, human hair, heels, jewellery. on its own? thats fine. but keep in mind, shes heavily japanese coded already. then shes immediately seen as a romantic conquest for sideswipe (though he never gets anywhere, he literally claims ownership) it leans into tropes of sexualizing asian women because she stands apart from strongarm. shes the flirt, shes the very feminine one. is this on purpose? its not their fault windblade looks like that in the comics and strongarm looks like this. but side by side what is it saying? did they intend to say this about their asian woman? no, probably not intentionally. its kind of unconscious bias that tends to happen when you dont have a diverse writers room. no one notices until it hits the audience.
but lets just jump in here with the other weird problem in RID, because shes not the only one who jumped from the comics.
Tumblr media
drift (who while being a samurai in the comics (literal?) doesnt.... LITERALLY wear a suit of samurai armour) shows up. with his two minicons who act as his children (who hes very strict with). theres a heavy overuse of the word honour. he owes a life debt, hes very humourless etc... they also never explain why he wears this armour. he came straight from space. he doesnt even turn into anything big that warrants it, hes just another sports car. bumblebee and sideswipe are sports cars too. but why is drift a sports car? tokyo drifting. drift. you get it.
so drift also is a comics original character. he, however, looks nothing like that
Tumblr media
i will assume that drift looks different for one reason....
Tumblr media
i mean. i shouldnt have to tell you why that was bad, right? you guys get why michael bay movies are bad? (if you genuinely dont please enjoy this series as a starter) ill just assume you do. knowing that that drift is bad, can we also say windblade is suffering from a similar problem?
this show brings in these FOUR new characters and heres how they look side by side.
Tumblr media
so. okay the minicons are raised by drift, they share his aesthetic, okay. we dont know where he got that aesthetic but yeah they share it. windblade.... its unclear in this show if she shares the being from another planet like idw part. shes on a mission from god to be here and thats all we know. but the point is they have no similar origin. yet they all look like they could be from the same place. that they shares a (japanese inspired/coded/stereotyped take your pick) culture. meanwhile our from ep1 mains look like this:
Tumblr media
so that feels. specific.
its not inherently bad to code robots as japanese, however its a problem when it seems to be for aesthetics alone. its stereotyping. they look nothing like the rest of the cast, everything like each other, and are from completely different backgrounds. they literally have the same colour palette? theyre not even like that in the comics.
sidenote, if you add sideswipe (who's alt mode has kanji on it and an asian voice actor so we can assume some coding there too) they look like this. yes they all have swords.... no one else does!
Tumblr media
yes, windblade is the only character with a white face. makeup. yes sideswipe claims ownership over her to fight off one of the minicons. its not wrong to show windblade being harassed by a man, but it is wrong that no one ever says "leave her alone" you know? like thats just whats to be expected of her. it sucks. but at least her voice actress was asian! that wont happen again.
so. moving on to cyberverse, she becomes a central character. character wise? shes great. she gets to do a lot, no one sexually harasses her here, we're free of that era.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
comparing her to the other autobot women, shes more in line now. if thats a good or bad thing overall is less the point (ie theres no autobots built like strongarm was, they are all just as thin and curvy as windblade is) but to me its still very apparent that shes still implying human hair. even with how simplified all these designs are.
like you can see how these red lines around her eyes get lost at a distance, same with the clips in her 'hair'. its clearly just trying to adapt her original design and im not saying thats a wrong choice they made, but i am saying its really busy in comparison
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
maybe thats a nitpick. but here it seems much more pronounced just how specific her head piece is because we can compare her to chromia, who is from the same place. do these two characters look like they have the same culture? not really. chromia and arcee look more alike. maybe thats just because they were designed later, but its unfortunate none the less.
even comparing her head to the seekers, what she is kind of supposed to be, they get the same old starscream mold. maybe she'd look better if they just did that? or something similar? like, give her a helmet. no one has hair. please stop implying hair. we all know what youre doing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
none of this is me saying i find these shows bad or that i hate windblade, i genuinely love her! and i love both these shows! it just feels hard to love her because of how she was designed. its not a problem with having a japanese coded character, its how stereotyped the look is. how othered it is. it leans into racist tropes. its orientalism, using japanese aesthetics to make her look interesting and different. you can tell she was made by white people.
how is it that despite being around for 10 years now, no ones tried to redesign her?
also look at the toys! look at the god damn toys!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
she can take that head piece out to have a FAN. why does she need a fan?? shes got fucking WIND JETS ON HER BACK! its very obvious why they did this. shes a japanese woman, she can fight with a fan to complete the aesthetic! despite her character never having even been there! and no other transformer using a fan weapon! shes so COOL AND DIFFERENT like that isnt she?? holy fucking shit
to go back to those original voted concepts for a second? if we went back to the drawing board?
a telepathic valiant female autobot who can fly, has a red/blue/black colour combo (with yellow accents) uses swords, and maybe even with canonical asian heritage....
could they even do that? is it possible?
...
Tumblr media
OH! wait it SUPER IS! who'd have thought!?
im NOT saying "we dont need windblade! we have a better girl with the same concept!" cuz thats stupid. do not misunderstand, theres room for WAYYYY MORE TF GIRLS! the literal 1:13 ratio is FUCKED! i know windblade had to fight to exist too and that sucks!
i just think it's CLEARLY possible to do this better, and it SHOULD be entirely possible to have windblade (who was LITERALLY holding court as the MAIN girl transformer for years) to be, i dont know, not so racistly designed? i think its entirely possible to fix, i just wish they would have tried already.
and this is just what my white ass has thought about since meeting her and not seeing anyone else bring it up. like going hunting for a real take about it just meets you with the rampant misogyny problem in fan spaces. its hard to find people talking about it in a normal way, but if they have before id love to know.
i just wanted to put my thoughts about it down, maybe get people to think about it more or talk about it more. cuz jeez, i would really like them to fix the problem. like they fixed the arcee problem in idw, right? can they fix windblade next?

Choose: Love or Heartbreak
(A Secret Santa Snippet)
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Once again this year I chose to participate in Secret Santa snippet exchange! This year I coincidentally got my girlfriend @justalittletoocorrupted! I really hope you like it <333
Prompt: Villain x Hero (who is a sidekick to superhero!) and Superhero finds out Hero was dating Villain (or just fell in love with them) and kidnaps them to try and help them understand that's a bad thing and the Villain could save them!
(I ended up doing more villain x civilian (I checked if it would be okay))
Tumblr media
Note! As we are really close I decided to use ocs, this is an au where Dystopia from Dystopian Reflections is a civilian, via the name Cain. Vortex/Blank-Slate is @justalittletoocorrupted’s oc and it uses it/its and he/him pronouns
Tw: kidnapping, arguing, mentions of violence, swearing
“Cain Harlow.”
Cain’s head was foggy. He blinked a couple times, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. He glanced down at his hands, silvery looking threads were slowly unwrapping from his wrists and making their way back to their creator. His eyes followed and they made their way back to a woman, a superhero more specifically.
Looking around, the room almost appeared to be an interrogation room. He was not cuffed, but he sat in a closed room at a table across from the hero.
Nothing was making sense, he last remembered being at the grocery store! He was just shopping! His boyfriend and him were going to have a nice dinner that night and he went to get a few things they would need.. he has no memory of leaving there and ending up with this superhero in front of him!
“…Who are you?”
“The media refers to me as the Porcelain Woman,” the superhero replied simply.
That makes sense he supposed until suddenly the name clicked in his head and Cain realized exactly who she was. And the alias quickly seemed obvious too. Looking at her, she didn’t look like a normal person, well, because she wasn’t. Her body appeared very doll-like with long, curly black hair and perfect makeup. All exemplified by the apparent cracks across her face, just like what can happen to porcelain.
However, even though she looked like a doll, she wasn’t one. He’s heard his fair share of news stories criticizing her for being a hero. And that is the result of many considering her less than human. She is a powerful spirit inhabiting the life size doll. But the spirit, or a “Reflector,” is a reflection of a real life person, given their name. They are typically chaotic entities. …Not heroes. But he shouldn’t make assumptions about their character..
…But it explains how he got there. From what he’s heard, she has some form of mind control ability in the form of a literal puppet on strings. The doll shell she uses is apparently quite fitting. His face morphed into disgust at the thought of how he got there.
Cain took a deep breath. “Why am I here?”
She stared at him for a few seconds before answering. Her fake, glassy, and yellow eyes were a bit unnerving. “You should know why you are here, do you not?”
Ah.
He could only be there for one reason, and if a superhero of all people is involved, he definitely knew. But he also wasn’t foolish enough to give himself away without her stating why he’s there first. “I’m afraid I do not understand why I am here. Considering I was taken out of a grocery store, pardon my confusion on the matter.”
The Porcelain Woman drummed her fingers on the table. “It was necessary at the time, it was for your safety,” she stated, brushing off his comment. “You’re here, Mr. Harlow, because of your boyfriend. Are you aware that your partner goes by the alias of Blank-Slate?”
There it is.
“I do not see why that matters,” Cain answered, trying his hardest to keep his face schooled into a neutral expression.
She stared again, almost as if in surprise. “Your boyfriend has hurt and killed many people, have you no remorse for them, their families, or future victims? It is not a good thing for you to be dating it. Does it not hurt knowing its career and choices?”
He let out a sigh. He knows what Vortex does is wrong, horrible even, but it has never made him feel unsafe.. rather it has made him feel so loved and cared for. Maybe it’s selfish that that is all he cared to think about in this situation but he didn’t care. And it likely makes him a horrible person too, but if it ever asked him to join it in what it does, he’s sure he’d say yes in a heartbeat..
“Blank-Slate treats me with much more love and care than anyone else ever has. What it does may not be considered right, but it has never subjected me to its lifestyle, rather it does its best to protect me from it,” Cain replied calmly, crossing his arms over his chest.
The Porcelain Woman scoffed at his comment. “Do you really believe it loves you? It is a villain, Mr. Harlow, one that seeks to draw any sort of horrible reaction it can get out of someone. That means it will eventually revel in the heartbreak it will inevitably cause you.”
Cain shook his head. “You do not understand the nature of our relationship. You believe that to be true when in reality I am an exception to that idea.”
“No, you are failing to understand. I want to help you, this agency wants to help you. Being in that relationship is only going to bring you a lot of pain. We want to help you and stop that from happening. Loving Blank-Slate will hurt you. It is not someone you should love.” Her tone held a bit of concern, but for him it was difficult to distinguish if it was genuine or fake.
Despite that, this situation was ridiculous, he wanted to go home! He spun a ring on his finger that Vortex gave him to try and calm himself and his anxieties. He hoped to get out of there soon, or maybe Vortex already realized he hadn't come home when he said he would…
Cain supposed he could understand some of her points, he knew it enjoys getting a reaction out of people, but that’s not how it is in regards to him. The amount of times it has seen him vulnerable and treated him with so much love and compassion and respect.. The amount of times he’s seen it so vulnerable.. if it wanted to hurt him, it would have done so many months ago. He’s never loved anyone quite like Vortex and this superhero will not sway him from that.
“I get what you are trying to convey, but I do not want help from you or your agency. Rather, I wish you would have let me just go about my day,” he said more firmly. He was tired of being there now. He hasn’t been there very long, but being in that room quickly aggravated him. Everything just was wrong about this.
“Mr. Harlow,” the superhero interjected, “your safety is at risk here! I am merely trying to offer you a way out of your situation but you are only showing me disrespect for my efforts!”
Cain gritted his teeth before raising his voice. Not only was this aggravating, but he was also talking to a wall. How lovely. “That is because you fail to show me respect! I do not want your efforts!! Let me spell it out, I. Do. Not. Want. Your. Help.” He sucked in a breath before trying to continue, his voice returning to a normal volume. “I’ll get ‘hurt’ in your words for all I damn care. It is not your responsibility to look after me.”
“I understand that it’s not my responsibility, but I don’t want you to be added to its list of victims! Blank-Slate-“
“Blank-Slate,” Cain snapped, “Is the love of my life whether you like it or not. Quite frankly, it has treated me far better than you have, and I have only known you for less than a day.”
“You don’t make it easy to get into contact with you,” The Porcelain Woman sneered. “Your career as a doctor makes you busy and most other times you are spotted with the villain. Bringing you here today in the way I had may have been unethical, but I had no choice. You were free and it was the only opportunity I had to get you here. If you would hear me out, you would understand it was for the better!”
“Oh so you and your band of heroes have been keeping tabs on me? You can’t, you know, send me an email or message that your heroes need to talk to me? You resorted to kidnapping me?” Cain threw his hands up in exasperation. “I’m going to repeat myself one more time, leave me alone. I am happy with my boyfriend. I do not care about your concerns about my supposed safety.”
“That was only a result of trying to keep tabs on Blank-Slate, which is actually incredibly difficult to do. We only very recently discovered you are its partner,” she retorted.
Cain has had enough of all of this. There seemed to be no convincing this woman that he feels safe and loved in his relationship. And really it should be none of her business at all! She’s entirely convinced that Vortex will just suddenly start hurting him one day just because it can. They’ve been dating for quite awhile and it hasn’t done so.
And what’s more, he’s been able to see a side of Vortex that it doesn’t show anyone else. To others it very easily can seem cruel! But to him it has only ever been caring and affectionate and so so loving. But even when he has accidentally caught it doing its villain work, he can’t help but be a bit fascinated by it. And strangely enough, after seeing what it does and seeing it hasn’t done anything to him, it only has made him feel more safe and secure in their relationship.
Cain stood up from his chair. “I appreciate you trying to ‘warn me’ about my boyfriend, but I really do not need your assistance and I would like to get going home.”
“Please sit, we are not done talking, Mr. Harlow. Going back to your boyfriend would be a bad idea,” the hero advised, her glassy eyes watching him stand.
“No, ma’am, I am heading home. Excuse me,” he said while trying to move past her to the door.
“We aren’t done,” she stated, more harshly this time. Silvery threads shot from her hands towards his legs. He yelled a curse before quickly stumbling backwards, narrowly avoiding them.
“Are you fucking delusional??” Cain cried out. “I acknowledge why you may be upset with my decision but that is unacceptable! For a hero especially! Contrary to what you think, my love for Blank-Slate will not lead to something completely horrific!”
“I’m not allowed to let you walk out so easily. I apologize that you don’t get it, but Blank-Slate is incredibly dangerous. I need you to stay awhile longer, I wasn’t even close to finishing on this matter.”
Throughout this whole argument, the woman’s face has been just about completely neutral the entire time minus her tone, and it honestly was becoming infuriating. In the right state of mind he would realize that her being so doll-like didn’t allow for a great range of physical emotion, but in the moment it only ticked him off more. To him it only seemed like she concerned herself with breaking the two apart rather than how he felt.
“No no! I’m done with this!” Cain argued, “You keep talking about me hearing you out but you have not been listening to me. You kidnapped me to talk to me, then you started preaching about how my boyfriend’s and I’s love is invalid, and then you refuse to let me leave!”
“Mr. Harlow—“
A knock sounded at the door.
They both fell silent and turned to look at the sound. The Porcelain Woman answered the door, only to find another superhero he’s never seen before on the other side.
“Mr. Harlow is needed by another hero for questioning, it is required that this continues later,” the stranger at the door said to the superhero.
“Fine, bring him back as soon as they are done.” She shot a glare over to Cain, but stepped out of the way to let him pass.
A wave of relief washed over him to finally get away from her as he stepped past her next to the stranger. He didn’t know where he was going but hopefully it would be better. If it entailed questioning, maybe not.. but here’s to hoping.
The two walked through the corridors of the unfamiliar agency. After a minute or two, the stranger spoke to him. And as soon as he did, it practically made him want to fall into its arms on the spot.
Ensuring no one was around, the stranger shifted into a different person, returning to the form of his boyfriend. Telepathically it spoke gently to him, “Are you okay baby..? I’m going to get you out of here, just play along and act as if I’m one of the heroes.”
“I’m okay..” Cain mumbled, watching as Vortex shapeshifted back into the hero, “Thank you for finding me.”
It telepathically reassured him that it would always find him. It noticed that he never came home on time and wasn’t answering any of its messages alerting it that something was wrong.
Being fully disguised as a hero, Vortex escorted Cain safely out of the building without alarm. The pair headed home where they could have a relaxing evening like they originally had planned.

Let's talk more fashion: who are your top ten fictional characters with the best style 🥰
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Right off the bat I have to go with Carrie Bradshaw. She annoyed me to no end for most of the series (apart from that one episode where she went to a house party and someone stole her shoes and she insisted that the guests pay her back for them) but I'd be lying if I said that her outfits don't continue to be iconic and they are always going to be a huge chapter of costume design and fashion. Patricia Field really is THAT woman.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Rachel Green my forever girl has to be number 2. I love so many things about her style and how it evolves throughout the seasons. In the early days it was jeans, T-Shirts and overalls but in such a chic and 90's way and then as she starts working in fashion and growing more into a more grownup version of herself she has an amazing office wardrobe that I still take inspo from. I also love all her slip dresses.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Meave Maisel. I started watching The Marvelous Mrs Maisel mainly because of the clothes and the fact that it was written by Amy Sherman Palladino and I stayed for as long as I did for the clothes as well. I believe the plot got a bit tired and the creators got distracted by the fact that the budget kept getting bigger so therefore they thought the show should be getting flashier instead of more human and funny but you'll never catch me complaining about the costumes because, well look at them!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Lisa Fremont. LISTEN. The costumes in this movie (which is Rear Window, directed by Alfred Hitchcock) are my Roman Empire. Especially the black and white dress combined with Grace Kelly's incredible beauty makes it one of the most iconic fashion moments in cinema history and we should give Edith Head (the costume designer) her flowers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Fran Fine. It took me a while to realize what an absolute fashion icon this woman is because I didn't watch The Nanny as a kid or teenager (I still haven't watched all of it and I plan on making it right eventually) but omg the absolute serve after serve after serve AFTER SERVE. Plus, that body is bodying. And a special mention to this particular outfit which is all of my dreams coming true:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Issa from Insecure
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This show's entire costume department deserved all the Emmys, Oscars, Tonys, just everything but Issa's style was always my absolute favorite because it was so versatile and reflected on her character journey as well. Plus I loved the fact that even when she had a casual look on, there were still so many smart details about it. Argh I miss Insecure so much I need Issa Rae back on my screen immediately.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
7. Daisy Jones. This character has had a tight grip on my heart ever since I read the book and I knew I'd love her when I watched the tv adaptation but I didn't expect to love her to the point I spent all of last spring trying to find pieces to recreate her entire cool girl hippy wardrobe. And also I just have to mention this "gold dust woman" moment because it was arguably the most iconic outfit of them all
Tumblr media
8. Holly Golightly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think I need to say too much about her to be honest do I? Audrey Hepburn is literally a work of art, in this movie and in general. My maybe somewhat unpopular opinion is that the pink outfit is my favorite one :')
Honourable mentions:
Monica Geller/ Blair Waldorf/ Cher Horowitz/ Zoe from Grownish (I hate the show though)/ Devi from Never Have I Ever/ Hilary Banks from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Sorry for the wait, I just realized I needed to get my brainrots in order (?) and I have a few to share today:
- Canon Ranni and the Tsaritsa are a lot alike, divine-adjacent royalty associated with frost/Cryo. Also, Cryo users all seem to have a contradiction or irony in their life, i.e. Kaeya being a Khaenrian who protects Mondstadt, Diona a bartender who hates drinkers, Rosaria a nun who doesn't worship the gods, Aloy a Sony character in a Chinese animesque game, etc. The Tsaritsa is a goddess of love who has no love left for her people, a god who is (possibly) rebelling against the very order that usurped the Dragon Sovereigns and propped her kind up in the first place. Ranni (and by extension Ranni!Reader) is an Empyrean, chosen by the Greater Will as a potential new vessel for their will, for the Order they have forcibly imposed on The Lands Between, yet Ranni turns her back on them and forges her own path, no matter the cost.
All of this to say, imagine R!R and the Tsaritsa properly meeting for the first time, each laying their cards on the table (to an extent) and oh, finding something of a kindred spirit in the person opposite them. I can just imagine R!R saying:
"I think we shall get along just fine, sister."
Word spreads, and R!R proceeds to never clarify if they meant it literally.
- So the original gods of Teyvat were the Dragon Sovereigns. Let's assume the Creator made them as well. What if their form reflects that?
I imagine R!R initially wakes up in Teyvat in their original body, AKA the flesh they once discarded during the Night of Black Knives. When they recreate the events of that Night with some poor fool in Godwyn's place (I know I orginally said Focalores, but lately I lean towards Raiden or the imposter themselves) their new doll body more closely resembles their original form - you know, red-haired and Just Big like their parents (still with four arms, though). Half of their ghostly face is sort of overlaid on their physical one, like a spookier Phantom of the Opera mask.
Again, all of this to say: imagine R!R with spectral horns and a spectral dragon tail. Now they match with Adula. R!R would be imposing even without them, but with them, they command attention, perhaps even fear.
- Speaking of Adula, I wanna expand on that one brainrot I sent - in Teyvat, Adula has a half-dragon form, tail and horns and claws and all. My idea was 'Rhaenyra Targaryan, but pale and scary apex predator with white hair.' And as I was playing my catalysts only Genshin account, I realized something - the face I was picturing would look remarkably similar to Neuvillette.
Like, half-dragon Adula would be much scruffier than him - imagine the Lazuli Robe, but with a good portion of the skirt unevenly torn off, and something like Rennala's leggings underneath. No gloves or shoes, just simple cloth wrappings. A veritable ragamuffin of a grown woman, the Creator’s draconic equivalent of Scary Dog Privilege, but between the white hair, stoicism and intimidating aura, she looks like she could be the Chief Justice’s long-lost daughter.
Rumours spread, and Neuvillette neither confirms nor denies them, because - well, he doesn't remember, and for all he knows, Adula is related to him somehow.
I've run out of brain juice for the moment, so I will pose you a question: how do you think Neuvillette feels about Furina? I don't mean shipping, but like, what does he think of her as, in relation to him?
Thanks, and well, that's a good question.
Exasperated, maybe. Furina is an Archon, and very much flamboyant. Neuvillette is devoted to his duties and the nation he works for. To me, I see Neuvillette as sort of a tired, almost fatherly/brotherly figure to Furina. Sure, you can hear the annoyance, but I'd like to think he's gotten used to it. It's just his Furina shows herself to others.
Side note: I don't really mind people shipping them. I can certainly see it, though; it's just not for me, really xd
Thank you again for your thoughts! :D

Anon: "If someone writes black slavers who victimize white people, blocks everyone who dislikes it and speaks over POC, that's hypocritical of an End OTW Racism supporter since that goes against their principles."
One of the comments, immediately: "You shouldn't judge people for what they write."
So we've hit the point where you can write something that totally goes against your stated views and the stated views of a group you're in and the "correct" thing to do is for all of us to pretend that it's not hypocritical? Or are we just supposed to look at "anti-racist" people in fandom who do racist things and go "well the racism isn't worth mentioning" because it's in the writing as well as the non-fictional actions?
This bugs me because anon never pulled a EOTWR "cancel this person" or "she shouldn't be allowed to write". They just said "hypocrisy is bad and makes your movement less credible" and somehow fandom is such a hellscape that at this point even that is a contentious statement... but why? Literally why? Your writing being the kind of thing you'd drag someone over the coals for if anyone else wrote it is bad. This woman got famous off of calling a nonbinary Jewish creator a Nazi sympathizer and then reblogged white supremacists on Twitter. And people aren't supposed to notice her saying "End OTW Racism!" and then writing out every POC other than her OC in her fanfic? We're not supposed to mention the massive gap between someone reblogging "if you don't write enough POC two of them pass a Black Bechdel Test you're doing it wrong" and never writing anything that passes a Black Bechdel Test?
I see this a lot, the idea someone's writing should never be brought up, criticized, or even just said not to be to one's taste, because that makes you an anti. But not everything that's not praise is dangerous anti style talk. The writer of the Captain Planet episode telling people having more than two kids is doing damage to the planet has five. If I notice that, I'm not moralizing his work or decrying him as a person. I'm not even actively analyzing anything. I'm just simply programmed as a human being to see that five is a bigger number than two.
The idea that if someone says something is bad and you're a bad person for doing it and then they do it, you can't say anything is a big part of what makes fandom shitty for black people. We're expected to not point out two is bigger than five. If you say two is bigger than five, then you must be part of Stitch's batshit insane fandom, you must not know the different between fiction and reality, you must want to cancel people based on the content of their writing, etc.
I know white fragility is a thing but if you say "only a racist would write X" and then write X, white people, please know that even if we don't say it, we notice. We see what you're doing.
It may not be "correct" to see what you're doing, though, I guess. Silly problematic me. Oh well.

Ya know, it's becoming real clear that there are some fans who only value Miles to the extent that he is in service to Gwen and their headcanon(s) of her. Whether its conscious or subconcious, Gwiles' fans dialogue around Miles shows that for them, Miles' existance, his story, etc. is meant to primarily give Gwen her happy ending, to help Gwen have her epiphanies so she can live her best white life. He's only good and uwu to them, to the extent he benefits her. It's partly why the creators making the creative decision to have Miles' be so infatuated with Gwen when, in the comics, Miles is not pressed for Gwen at all, annoys me a lot. They risk perpetuating these fans miguided idea (and reinforcing racist real world views) that Miles exists to affirm Gwen's desirability and she can do with that what she wants, his job is to wait on her and tell him when he can move on with his life. It also ties in with the same fans outright dismissing Margo. To them, there's no way Miles could actually find Margo, a Black female attractive and intriguing - even though Miles loving and strongly desiring woman of color in the comics is absolute canon. To much media has reinforced a false narrative that black men and women loving and desiring each other is rare and not enough. And so, in their eyes, Margo can't be an actual threat for Miles' attention and affection, she also must exist in service to Gwen, to show that Gwen has complex feelings and can get jealous too. Miles feelings, his identity, his desires, his safety, his mental and overall health, his community, his family, his hurt, his trauma, his pain, his full potential, all of it should be pushed aside because to them GWEN's feelings, her angst and struggle should take priority, and he should just understand that his suffering is worth it because she gets to grow.
From what I’ve heard Miles and Gwen in the comics have gotten together a few times, and were even married at one point(somehow across dimensions???) But like you said he mainly dates girls of color, Black girls even, and we don’t usually get that. I was disappointed we didn’t get to see so many Black girl characters in the first movie
I don’t really care for shipping aspects, but all I know is that ITSV showed these two having a slight crush before forgetting about it, because there were more important matters on hand. And yknow, that all felt natural
So seeing Miles go into this crush on Gwen even harder, to the point where he practically forgets about the other Spiderheroes from the first movie until he sees them again? It didn’t seem right. It went from “I want to see my friends who understand me, and also helped me when I needed them” to “I really miss Gwen, sad angst teenage hours”
And yeah I was pretty annoyed how much the movie focused on Gwen, to the point where I questioned if this was her movie or not. There were some aspects I enjoyed, but also stuff that felt unnecessary given how little information we still had. Simple flashbacks would suffice to get the point across that Gwen was in trouble and she was taken in by the other Spiders. The first movie does this
We could’ve spent this time exploring different Spiderverses and the new characters. It just dragged on for so long, that by the time we get to Miles, I nearly forgot he was in this
I’m not so into this fandom that I can say I fully understand the shipping dynamics here. But yknow, if this is literally like every other fandom, then I don’t see why I can’t believe a good amount of Gwen stans make the experience unbearable

A Silly Rambling Segment
Tumblr media
@sonicranger1 well if you insist >:] (sorry for the @ tho I hope I wasn't disturbing you TvT)
I'll be info dumping about my silly ridonkculous story au thing I made when I was in 5th or 6th grade (a.k.a it's cringy) so read at your own will.
Tumblr media
INTRODUCTION :
The story starts out with a human girl named Tiara. She shares her love for art and is a skilled artist. However she was struggling with finding a job she likes. Even though she can make money from her art, it's not like it'll be enough for her living expenses. She didn't want to be stuck with a boring office job, or meet sketchy individuals from behind the 24/7 convenience store cashier, or get a complaint that the pickles were suppose to be on the right side of the bun from a middle aged woman.
However one day she accidentally go transported into another world called Shaydeon (don't ask about the name, I used a name combiner tool on google to get that). The world was filled with anything you can imagine, literally. As long as it has been on paper or any art medium it can exist in this world.
THE HUMANS :
If you've ever made art with your full heart and passion, then in the world of Shaydeon you can be called a creator. They're usually artists like painters, illustrators, sculptors, etc.
THE PEOPLE :
The citizens of Shaydeon are essentially fictional characters and creatures that have been made by humans/creators. Rather than people they're usually called characters. They're born because of the care and love they get from their creators. They say the more attention you give them the more lively they get.
THE HEROES :
In this world there's a specific job that everyone always praised, that is being a Guardian. A character can enroll to a Guardian Academy and train themselves to become the next protectors of Shaydeon. In a way they're kinda like the army or police, just more flexible? However their number one enemy has always been the Corruptors.
THE MONSTERS :
Corruptors can be born in 2 ways (atleast from what I remember). They're either born from drawings that were made with hatred or drawings that were scrapped and thrown away. When they're born into the world of Shaydeon they'd attack any character and then feed off of them, or a saying that's popular in Shaydeon "corrupt them". Reason why is because inside they feel empty and incomplete. Their desire to feel loved urges them to feed on any character with the most love to fill that empty void.
THE MAIN CAST :
Like I said the story had 4 main characters. Originally they were Tiara, Molly, Cuphead and Bendy.
Tiara : The Human Girl
Tumblr media
Cheery
Out-going
Curious
She's the golden retriever of the team and also plays the leader role. After finding out about Shaydeon she did not hesitate to explore more and end up training to be a Guardian herself. However at times she can find herself in a sticky situation cause of her lack of self-awareness and overwhelming curiosity.
And I hear you asking "what's up with the cat features then?" There are no lore related explanations for that....it was a phase okay :,D
Molly : The Moon Angel
Tumblr media
Studious
Perfectionist
Goal-oriented
The nerd of the team a.k.a Molly. She wears a black dress, a black and white scarf around her shoulders, and a blue pendant around her neck. She also usually does her hair in pigtails.
She's very passionate when talking about her future of being a Guardian, being honored by characters from all around Shaydeon. She trains her agility, strength, and intelligence everyday, wanting to surpass all her peers and be the best. But that's what made her competitive and sometimes even think lowly of others around her.
She also likes baking, so yee :D
Bendy : The Ink Demon
Tumblr media
Charming
Talkative
Nonchalant
Inky boy Bendy, as we all know. In this universe he's a popular performer or widely known as a beautiful singer. His outfit changed through time but he always wears his iconic white bow. He's very used to the fancy celebrity life that whenever he goes on a mission to defeat a corruptor he'd be the most scared one out of the four.
Not gonna lie, his motivation on why he wanted to be a Guardian was because he had a crush on Molly. Which at the time really made him look like a simp.
Cuphead : The... The Cup Man
Tumblr media
Okay I'm not even gonna bother giving him key traits cause most of the time his story was just sad.
Instead of accidentally killing Mugman like Q!Cuphead, he accidentally killed grandaddy kettle cause of his recklessness, and that made Mugman leave him. News about a character killing his own kind spread and made people hoped he was a corrupter's next victim.
He turned to the Devil's casino cause no one else accepted him, which made his image worst. Because of this he never liked socializing with people and was scared to use his powers. He hated whoever created him and wished he could take everything back.
But after being a Guardian he did became more confident, alongside with Tiara's emotional support. Which lowkey made me liked the ship.
"It's not that I hate you, you're just a good candidate for unnecessary trauma" - Me at the age of 12
What Happened to the Story?
This story filled most of my childhood and has evolved through time. Some of the concepts and lore I've told has actually been scrapped and or rewritten.
I remember I wanted the remastered version to become an animated series one day. So I replaced Cuphead and Bendy with my own OCs.
Candlewick, which I've shown before
Tumblr media
And Peter
Tumblr media
I can definitely say they were far more developed. However I haven't finished the story due to burn out and lack of motivation. Which is why I haven't drawn my own OCs for a while.
So yee, have this remastered version of the Shaydeon gang to end this info dump post (Peter is not here cause I haven't gotten around to draw his remastered version yet)

Gelda Screen-time (plus her character)
The second I saw this fine ass woman pop out of the stone I freaked my shit OKAY? On the first frame I was literally like "and then you get this picture, and then I take her to my penthouse and I freak it" BECAUSE IT'S THE TRUTH. We know nothing about her character (besides the basics and a small bit of backstory) and it IRKS ME. I'm gnawing at the bars of my enclosure Gelda content nakaba please I'm begging you. But, because we know nothing that gives me and other nnt creators to magic up some character complexity (her and elizabeth have been besties since before they met the boys. how do i know this? i dreamed it up in my mind palace and i’m actually nakaba). She's one of my favourite nnt character just from 20 minutes of screentime and the magic of maladaptive daydreaming. Oh you're a vampire? A species in nnt we know next to nothing about? Oh you're vampire ROYALTY? An even more mysterious class of vampire? Suddenly I'm a black haired midget. She’s so mysterious and I think that adds to the character attraction, but even though the mysterious facade is necessary (not really) I’m pissed at her lack of screentime. Let bad bitches be bad bitches okay? Nnt has a problem with bad bitch screentime and letting them flaunt their abilities and that comes down hard and heavy on Gelda. Nnt make Gelda content challenge go 🗣️‼️‼️

Like yeah, I know John had a wife, but sex still played no role in his films, just pure love. So it was disappointing for the first episode of ‘The Continental’ to have three sex scenes — one happening off to the side in the most lifeless 1970s New Year’s Party I’ve ever seen (people looked more shuffling than dancing), then young Winston has one mostly kept offscreen, so I though ‘okay, that’s a little better’, but then they have two detectives outright naked, showing their backsides and doing the act onscreen for a solid minute, and I was like WHY. This is the ‘John Wick’ franchise. You’re appealing to the wrong people here, we really don’t need to see that. It literally had nothing to do with the plot. And my non-asexual friend hated it too, so I know it’s not just an ace thought in this case. The opening fight was pretty good though.
So I have not seen any part of the Continental TV show, nor will I ever watch it, so I can't give my 100% Verified Critic TM opinions, and thus I will be going off your testimony, Anon. And uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah. It sounds exactly as bad as I expected it to be.
First, just for context for others who maybe haven't seen the films - sex is not at all a thing in JW quadriology. There are no sex scenes, John has no love interests, I don't even think there's an instance where a character catcalls or makes a reference to getting laid. The most sexually charged scene, arguably, is a quick shot of Ares touching John's butt during a patdown. Even the scene where a woman removes all her clothes is written and shot intentionally un-sexually charged as possible and is instead far more sad and tragic. So yeah, throwing sex scenes and sexually-charged nudity into a """""John Wick"""" tv series is. fuckin stupid.
The real problem here, though, isn't that the creators are making unnecessary sex scenes, that's a symptom of a bigger issue. The issue is that the show is not at all interested in what made the John Wick movies work. The John Wick movies are pure action camp, they are over-the-top depictions of guys fighting each other in brutal and violent ways, just done artistically. Rule of Cool is law, and that makes for some of the most stunningly gorgeous visual cinema to date. The JW films can be summarized as "pretty man in suit do murder" and as long as it looks good, that's all that it needs to be. Sure, Kolstad and Stahelski added some crazy worldbuilding that gets more and more ridiculous as the movies go, but again, this is just an excuse for Keanu Reeves to get in a black suit and pretend to shoot a fuckton of stunt guys. None of this needs to make sense. The world John lives in does not need to be logical or realistic, it just needs to service the next action scene. Because, let's face it, this is a classic Greek tragedy unfolding before our eyes, John nor anyone else is gonna have a character arc, there aren't subplots that need to be tied up by the end. We're just here for the spectacle. And that's ok.
However, we live in a disgusting timeline where studios feel the need to a make cinematic universe out of everything, so instead of just fuckin…. giving Kolstad or Stahelski or literally anyone the money and resources to make more projects, they try to come up with shit from an IP. And all Lionsgate really has going for it right now is The Hunger Games and John Wick, so they want something with JW franchise names we know. Hence, a backstory about Winston and the Continental, which literally?? no one asked for?? ever????? If anyone actually cares about Winston's original rise to power, or what John did to hide Sofia's daughter, or what exactly happened in the three-men-in-a-bar-with-a-pencil story, we fanfic writers have already gotten to work on that, I don't need a panel of executives doing that for me. And a part of the appeal of the John Wick underworld is that it's there, it exists, it's just how the world works, and we do not question it. The moment we start asking questions about how it works proves that we've lost the point, which is YO BRO JOHN'S SWORDFIGHTING THE IRON CHEF GUY WITH KATANA IN A GLASS ROOM THIS IS SO SICK
So. yeah. doesn't surprise me at all the sex scenes felt out of place and don't work for a John Wick spin off. Nothing about this premise works as a John Wick spin off. Put shit in, get shit out.

Round 1
Kayano Kaede
shes genuinely a really tragic character who had potential for a really compelling, effective arc concerning grief, identity, healing, and finding trust again all while going through the inherent ordeal of being 15 years old….if she werent a female character in a shonen anime 😭😭 instead she gets sidelined during the show up until her big plot twist reveal after which shes immediately sidelined again. whatever i still love her and know her to be a character of all time who has suffered more than jesus. in my experience shes perhaps the female character who like. ive seen most *obsessively* hated due to her “getting in the way” of the ship b/w the male protagonist + deuteragonist (bc of her proximity to the both of them) u woild think shes the devil incarnate and not just. 15 and traumatised
She had a crush on Nagisa and they kissed and a lot of fans ship him with Karma so theyre mad that Kaede is there. She is super silly and nice but the fandom hates her for standing in the way of karmagisa.
she's a sweet person that was an actor and loves her sister. she is the main love interest of the main character but doesn't interact with him more than most of the other characters for a majority of the story. Often I have seen them removed from the story only to become some homophobic jerk that's desperate for the main characters love instead of letting her keep the good friendship that her and the main character had before the romance.

Since I’ve been seeing this topic swirling around the interwebs, I’m curious about your opinion. Feel free to not answer though cuz I know it’s a weird subject for some people. How do you feel about TikTok starting the whole “boo alpha cc” and “yassified infants”? Being a young black woman, to me it seems very…micro aggression. From what I’ve seen it’s always aimed at black creators that use alpha cc. Not all. And it’ll be the weirdest comments like “your sim looks scary” and it’s literally just a realistic looking black sim. Just curious cuz I’ve seen a lot of people getting unnecessarily dogged over it and I think it’s sad people can’t just enjoy their damn game and show their creations in peace. If you don’t like it, keep scrolling. Anyway lol sorry, I asked for your opinion and went on a rant.
Racism, micro-aggressions and anti-blackness are everywhere.
AND I believe in letting people play their damn games the way they'd like. I also believe in folks minding the business that pays them. If its not your jam, keep scrolling.
I personally love a good mix! I love how versatile we can be with CC. Indya was born alpha okay? But she birthed maxis mix babies lmfao! Don't be sorry, I peeped CS's thread about the comment's they're getting on tiktok and its sick and disgusting. We can't escape the three things I mentioned above even in our hobby of playing life simulation games.
Or when we use body shapes that creators don't know how to make meshes for because they cater to skinny sims (yes, this is me bringing up old beef because I'm petty like that).
In the end, my opinion is stay out of other people's games and play the way you want to play!

It’s kind of disappointing that you’re not using your platform to call Sim Vault (one of Mack’s closest friends in the community and a creator) out on her blatant racism. For the record, Sim Vault is the creator who “exposed” the doxxing ring. Not because it was the right thing to do, but because she was rejected by the group of creators for being considered untrustworthy. That hurt her ego and she decided to lambast them. She‘s been being dragged on Twitter for her racist comments and has since deleted her Twitter account altogether to avoid the heat:
1. Telling Black simmers that we don’t can’t complain about being called “black simmers” since we call ourselves that — which literally no one ever complained about. This was in response to the leaked screenshots of Sunny/Mack telling a friend that Black simmers need to stop crying victim and get “over it.” SimVault’s dumb ass thought the racism part of that was in calling Black people…Black. I guess she is using the logic that we shouldn’t call ourselves the n-word if we don’t want others too; which again, the fact that she’s equating the two speaks volumes. She referred to us as “you people” and also poked fun at BLM.
2. Told a Black Simmer that SHE was continuing racism by…talking about it. More specifically by calling Mack out. “You want racism to end? Stop talking about it. You’re continuing racism.” Straight out of conservative’s playbook. She lacks the mental bandwidth to have a nuanced conversation about racism so I won’t waste my finger stamina unpacking that bull shit.
3. Made a thinly veiled threat to report a Black simmer’s legal cannabis business by saying “I hope it’s legal” and “Funny…because I can’t find your license to distribute CBD on your state government’s directory.” Which a) is doxxing b) is racially motivated to assume that a black woman would not be licensed c) a clear threat to someone’s livelihood.
There are other examples that others have captured both on Twitter and Tumblr but Sim Vault is a coward. She’s deleting things just as quickly as she posts them. Receipts can be found @artistalchemystic on Tumblr as well as on @SSimflower Twitter (who is the Black woman whose business was threatened by Sim Vault).
SV and Mack are close friends. This now should satiate any doubt that Mack/Sunny/Solar Pirate is indeed a flaming racist. Even her longtime gal pal, Simbelene, has turned on her and is seen liking a ton of Twitter posts dragging both Sunny & Sim Vault. Though your hands ain’t clean either Simbelene: you knew, as a Black woman yourself, exactly who she was and you never called her out. Publicly nor privately and I know that as I was in the private friends’ server. You rubbed her back to make sure she knew she wasn’t racist all so that you could have a stake in the anti-paywall popularity race. Shame on you all.

I've gotten a few asks about this subject so I wanted to put them together.
Side note before I get into it though: the part about it being disappointing I'm not "using my platform" to talk about this is rude. I answer these asks when I can and give my opinions on topics but I am not some simblr paragon of justice as much as Mack isn't and it's not my job to write a callout post on everyone on this site. I didn't even know who this person was until I got these asks about them. I appreciate people coming and telling me things, but I'm not a machine or a news outlet. Try to be kinder.
Anyway, here's the asks I've gotten and all the proof. So more of Mack's friends are blatant racists? Color me surprised. It's all terrible, but the third point is especially sickening. I kept hearing mentions of someone being doxxed but couldn't find any details. To threaten someone's business in the first place is gross, and to actually take the time to find out what state they're supposedly in and look up a directory is so strange and violating. It's no wonder that all these racists used to run with the paywallers bc they all have the same MO. I have no idea how they managed to turn and get a good reputation here. Especially since their turns all seem to be based on hurt egos. SimVault and Mack both weren't good enough for the paywallers, and so they turned against them. It was never about paywalling, never about the community, never about the doxxing and harassment. It's about them. It's sad.
To anyone reading this: please be careful. I hate to say it, but it's hard to trust people here and they will try to use your personal info to hurt or threaten you. When I was younger it was standard to not use your real name, important email, etc online and I would encourage that here as well. Don't tell anyone your detailed location, or even your state if you're from the US. It's incredibly easy to find someone with just a small amount of info these days. Be safe.

Just watched the Postal movie and it got me entertained, confused and braindead at the same time.
———— SPOILERS WARNING ————
The movie is so messed up yet goofy, and to me, Postal Dude is more relatable and a bit kinder than the Dude in Postal 2 even though they both share their irritability with the people in Paradise. Like imagined being treated like shit by people around you constantly (being questioned by the office with stupid and nonsensical questions to be accepted for your job, got cheated on by your nagging wife multiple times, never got your place due to the welfare office closing down RIGHT when you reach to the counter and being locked in a cell by some religious fanatic who dreams of world extermination etc.), I would have been fuming MUCH that I had the urge to kill whoever did me so wrong or leave the town like Dude wishes to. I like how the movie references the wanted poster and couple photos of Dude to the Postal 1 version of him, makes me think that Dude married his wife before / during the events of Postal 1. Long-haired Zack Ward looks great. I like the appearance of Vince Desi, the creator of the Postal series, who plays as the Krotchy Doll. He just talks shit to Uwe Boll who’s the director of the Postal movie. I like Desi’s protectiveness of his series and at least Boll is aware of the atrocity he’s making on his films.
Now to the stupid and crazy parts — in the Little Germany park scene, all CHILDREN are shot dead. Some adults are killed but after all this mess, almost all of the people killed are CHILDREN. The welfare officer, the same lady who closes the office as Dude goes to the counter, got hit by a truck and treated like a video game ragdoll. And I never forget the scene where a woman in shock just leaves her baby in a trolley and escapes from the van (which Dude is driving) while her baby gets killed by the same vehicle. Like girl, are you fucking stupid??? Leaving your baby in the middle of the road????? I don’t know why Richard (that annoying bastard, I can’t stand him and his fruit fly mess) begins kissing Uncle Dave for no reason after revealing his plan, then the guy whom he kissed says that he’s now gay —> later gets shot by the same guy and says he’s bi while touching one of the lady’s breasts. That same Richard guy also initiates an incident when the tiny entertainer gets r/ped by a thousand monkeys according to Uncle Dave’s bible. What? What’s going on here? And the two ladies after the shootings of the Taliban (after Dude escapes from the cell with a peace sign shirt and guns) just killed each other, after one of them admits she’s faking her stupidity. Then, Dude and the remaining two ladies move on without any care for the dead ladies. They must be pretending they don’t exist. At the later end, Dude is now targeted by many groups of people in Paradise who despise them. I was literally on a rollercoaster of mess.
Sometimes I have problems with the film. Some shots of the movie are cut off too early which feel kind of weird. I wish Dude gets his iconic black coat like in Postal 2 so as to complete his look with the shades and peace sign shirt — that will make his appearance more badass.
Anyways, I don’t know how to rate this movie due to how crazy and stupid but hilarious it is.
