John 4:7-26 (NKJV)
A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”

The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”

Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”

The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”

Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”

Holy Bible, the most powerful and spiritually dynamic book in the world. How much wisdom and light it transmits, what vitality and newness of life it communicates to the blessed believer. The Bible is a free gift from God, firstly, so that we may truly know ourselves and God aright, that we might receive of the fullness of His love and love Him back. Second, that we may be even-tempered, upright, abounding in virtues, flourishing in graces, fruitful unto every good work, holy in all our ways and wise in the wisdom of Christ Jesus. Of course, there are other reasons for why the Bible was given to complete us and gladden us along the journey of life but these reasons can’t be ignored or disputed. In summary, the inspired Bible is a book uniquely qualified to equip the righteous for the everlasting enjoyment of God the Father in glory.

The Inevitability of Life’s Harvest

Don’t be under any illusion: you cannot make a fool of God! A man’s harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows. If he sows for his own lower nature his harvest will be the decay and death of his own nature. But if he sows for the Spirit he will reap the harvest of everlasting life by that Spirit.

What Is Eternal Life?

I have often had people ask me ‘what is eternal life?’ and most will say it is living forever. But that definition is not quite right. It is true every person born on this planet will live forever. The question is, where will they live? In heaven or in hades? Eternal life in scripture has two meanings; first, in John 3:16-17 it is being free from the condemnation which comes from sin. And then also in John 17:2-3 when Jesus tells us what eternal life is, he says it is to know the father and son. The word ‘know’ is used in Hebrew in the Old Testament when the scripture tells us Adam ‘knew’ Eve. It is not saying he knew her intellectually, he knew her intimately and she conceived a child because of it. For the believer we do not need to wait until we get to heaven to have an intimate relationship with God. We can have it right now, and the sooner you start the sooner the Holy Spirit will conceive great things in your life. Everyone can know God, from the least to greatest, all you need to do is confess Jesus as your Lord.
I wonder how many dreams can be conceived and brought forth if we would simply be intimate with the God who saved us?

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 17:2-3 (NKJV)
as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

After I became a born-again Christian, I always excited about meeting Jesus face to face but one problem was Christ is already in me. Once I receive Jesus into my life and me already receive eternal life. No one will see the Kingdom of God without being born again. Christian must have a one on one relationship with Christ because your pastor will not pray for you. It is by you who must pray to Jesus Christ.
