not to sound like some guy who takes kids shows way too seriously but was anyone else really upset by those cartoon episodes that were like “omg actually everyone hates the protagonist bc theyre annoying and their lives would be better without them and thats the punchline” growing up.

rewatching s1 of broadchurch even tho im halfway through my first watch of s3 because i have an obsession with rewatching things and DAMN there are way more hints at who ended up being the killer than i originally thought, and a bunch of moments that are really ironic in hindsight

ep1 - joe and ellie talk in the kitchen after hardy makes the statement to the media

joe: do you know what happened? i mean should we be worried for other kids?

on first watch, his tone of voice and body language here just seem like confused and worried parent, but on second, there's definitely a hint of panic in his voice

ep2 - joe, tom and fred in the cafe

joe: this is a terrible, unspeakable thing thats happened. but nothing like it will ever happen again here

tom: you cant know that though can you? you cant be sure

then after this joe's facial expression looks SO guilty like he can't think how to respond

ep3 - hardy questioning tom with joe in the room

hardy: can you think of anyone who would want to hurt danny?

THEN THE CAMERA IMMEDIATELY CUTS TO JOE. ik near the end joe swears he never wanted to hurt him but this is still a rly clever piece of editing, i love when shows do this. also the fact that in every scene where he's questioning tom, joe's in the room and occasionally talks but he's never in the frame of the camera hardys using to record it. he was literally right under their noses the entire time and they never suspected because they were focused on other people too much

ep4 hardy goes to the millers" for dinner

this scene hits so much different on second viewing holy shit. at one point they're talking about marriage and work and how hardy's divorce was partially work-related and:

Karan and Achi beyond the mask

okay, so i am not okay from the last episode of Cherry Magic Thailand. i personally relate to Karan and Achi a lot, and i felt like writing something on this.

so, in ep 1, we saw Karan to be this perfect guy in the office: winning the awards, getting better oppurtunities and being a great cheerleader for everyone. but, we saw the "mask" shatter when Achi heard his thoughts.

our thoughts, which are so personal in real life and usually are so restricted to ourselves - its hard to imagine what they might get out of it. and, the fact that Karan, while being so perfect, is so mysterious and private of his feelings, really hits hard when you see him internally squealing over being so close to his crush. And, that is why, his crush made us go:

As we moved on from episode to episode, we are seeing the said mask get shatter every moment or as shrek goes:

and we first see that reflect once we understand how Karan feels about having those feelings for Achi. which he thinks is beyond shameful. but isn't love something we are told to cherish so fiercely? and thats where i related it with my initial feelings of being queer. societally, we have been told us much on not being gay that when you actually do feel it, it feels guilty. it feels wrong to have these feelings; its a shame to have them because its only just you who has it. (but it is not like that)

Karan, in his whole life, has only been perceived as a mask. a mask of good looks who somewhat can do the job. he's perfect, mysterious and flawless. but, unknowingly, he's very sad and tired of it. so much so that he was scared for Achi to discover that he reads manga. his life, beyond his office is comparatively lonelier.

then the incident happened. his first year of working with the company: in a meeting with his seniors to learn all about the trade. he has prepared everything, he did the research and practiced what to speak in front of the client, only for his boss to reduce him to "the junior who has good looks."

Achi noticed that and later, was the only one who saw beyond the mask at his lowest. Achi said things which made sense to him, because he understands how bad it is be reduced to that mask because Achi goes through that low self esteem every day. however his kindness doesn't let him get it to others around him. for him, he is okay to be behind the scenes, as along it makes him feel happy.

cheering up Karan wasn't something Achi did in order to get something out of Karan. he only did it because he wanted Karan to feel better. and Karan saw that.

to like someone who sees you beyond what anyone is willing to show to the outside world and doesn't demean for it, means a lot to someone like Karan. and that's why, Karan's small acts of care for Achi made sense. because Achi's small acts of kindness towards the office is so similar to what Karan does for Achi. that's why, even though Achi doesn't believe it yet, but, Karan and Achi are similar in a lot more ways than he thinks.

so when Karan gets so close to Achi, he starts feeling so so special. initially, he was so happy with this small acts, it would make his day when he could just interact with Achi. but as Karan and Achi got to know each other more, with Karan's feelings out there for Achi to know, Karan also started feeling so special to Achi, even though the uncomfort lingered around.

with Achi's mask of being the ordinary, clumsy guy as the world sees him, his esteem made him fear the love Karan gave him, as he got closer to him. but he didn't understand how his ideas of buffers actually left Karan feeling so unacknowledged of his place in Achi's life all of a sudden.

so even if Achi knew Karan's feelings way before than Karan expressed it to him, he still didn't know what to say 'cause his heart couldn't reassure him of the genuinity of the feelings he felt for Karan or Karan's feelings for him.

with that post it note, Achi figured out the sincerity of Karan's love.

and for me, that is both of them reaching out beyond their masks and come out of their comfort zones to embrace the said love.

Okay everyone I just finished ep 6 of Blue Eye Samurai, And now I wanna talk about Mizu’s gender.

I made an earlier post about Mizu’s gender which just plainly said that he’s trans, but I don’t necessarily think thats the case anymore.

Mizu started life as a woman, but was forced to pretend to be a boy to hide from bounty hunters. He lives like this for years, even binding his chest once he goes through puberty. He maintains his masculine appearance, and continues to present as a man up to the current day.

So its cut and dry, right? He’s a trans male?

Wrong.

In episode 5, “The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride,” we see more of his backstory. At first we see him as the Ronin, a man who is consumed by his hatred and swears to wipe out the phoenix clan, much like how Mizu swears to kill all four white men who were in Japan during the time of his birth.

Throughout the episode we see Mizu gradually changing from the Ronin to the Bride.

Mizu marries a disgraced samurai and tries to be the perfect wife, but he’s just not suited for it. The only joy he finds in the role of the traditional wife is chopping vegetables, which no doubt reminds him of his sword training and/or making blades (bot traditionally male crafts). He even breaks in a horse better than his husband. They spar and Mizu wins. It’s clearly supposed to be friendly and Mizu kisses Mikio, he calls him (Mizu) a monster.

This coincides with the Ronin and Bride narrative, where the bride dies and becomes an onryo, a demon. Compared with every male in the series there is something soft and feminine about him, and compared to the women there is something hard and masculine about him.

The point of the story is that he cannot be fully female the same way he cannot be fully male. I think that if he was in our modern era, he’d be closer to nonbinary or gender non-conforming. Especially because the Bride is transformed into a demon, a creature that has no gender.

the video NCTmentary EP3. Empathy is literally about how the dreamies are conected to each other thru dreams. and theres a scene where jisung says "last night i had a dream"

and then we get jaemin saying he had the same dream as jisung and that he thinks he was "lured by something" and felt like he was "wrapped in smoke", which is interesting because the other dreamies talk about how they think they saw each other in their dreams but none of them say they were actually there or lured by something (none of the other dreamies shared a dream with jisung, just jaemin).

also !! when the members talk about the dreams they had about each other they are together in reality, but jisung is the only one thats alone on a room writing about it on his diary instead of actually talking to someone (another member or the camera).

when jaemin talks about his dream with jisung, jisung is also not there, and the scene we see of them together are the scenes of the dream (theyre wrapped in smoke). so jisung is never seen with the members in the real word.

and then on EP.4 Synchronization of Dreams is when we get this scene

the full scene shows jisung entering the room, the rest of the dreamies were already there watching the tv not moving at all.

on DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #1, jisung is the only member that immeditely assumes theyre trapped on a dream, with little to no proof, he just remembers (and we see someone kept a diary, im sure it was him, again) and he's the one to tell the members "i think we're locked in here"

on EP5. Back to the Reality, they explain to us that reality is "a world with limits" and so the dream lab was "created to break these limits in reality". they also say one of the stages they can reach its called "dream in a dream" where "the dream can influence reality".

now we get kun telling us about a dream he had where he saw a door and we get these scenes:

thats jisung !!!! on the inside of the dream door !! like-

which is something we ALSO get to see on EP3. Empathy, while hes writing about his dream on his diary (he's the only member ever shown by the door):

and when the narrator explains how to come back to reality they show a bit of jisungs dream with the smoke but this time is on reverse, as in deleting all their progress.

NOW all of those are actual canon events on the nct universe so whats the theory.

theres a lot of versions of the same thing but they all conclude the same: jisung doesnt want the members to leave this imaginary realm/time loop/dream theyre trapped in.

why ? the main theories ive seen are:

-the dreamies are not real and jisung made them up as imaginary friends but this dream in a dream state that can influence reality made them lowkey real ?? but they dont exist in the real word so to leave the dream world would mean to lose them.

-the dreamies died and jisung has them trapped on a loop where they dont get to ever die. jisung can come in and out of the loop/dream but the members cant.

in every version of the dream in which the members are aware that theyre trapped, they want to leave. either because they don't know what would happen if they do or because they just want jisung to let go and get to have a real life without them.

at the end of DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #2, the members solve all the puzzles to get out of the loop correctly but right after they leave the dream world thru the door the day starts again with jisung saying theyre trapped on a loop.

this implies jisung is succesfully controling the realities where the members exist and that even if he reveals to the dreamies that they are trapped in a dream, they still wont be able to leave.

so jisung is using the dream lab to break the limits of reality by keeping the members trapped because they wouldnt exists if not for this.

and then i think all the different universes we've been seeing the members go thru as 7DREAM (like all the chapters of DREAM-VERSE or Production : Stranger Seven) are realities jisung is making up to keep the members together forever, but it probably gets more and more difficult each time.

maybe we get to see them scape this comeback ?? i mean its literally called [DREAM( )SCAPE].................

As a child, Riddle Rosehearts was taught to never cry. Over the years, he had built up a wall and gained tolerance to things that could make him cry.

When he begins to cry, you won't even notice the tears forming in his eyes. But when they start flowing, his tears are loud. Riddle wails like a child. A heartbroken child who cannot stop crying. He cries forever and ever, and you don't know if he'll ever stop. Because he's been hiding those tears for all of his life; and now that he's started, even he doesn't know if he'll stop.

Trey Clover never had a great reason to cry besides stress. And boy was he stressed a lot. Baking cakes and tarts every day on top of schoolwork was not what Trey would like to be doing his entire high school career.

Trey usually cries over whatever he's baking not turning out correctly. He gets angry when he cries, sometimes throwing the pastry onto the floor in distress. He rubs his eyes with his hands that are covered in flour, immediately screaming before rushing to the sink.

An internet sensation, Cater Diamond has forced himself to learn how to not cry over the years. To always be 'a face of the public'.

When Cater cries, he's silent. Airy breaths come out of his mouth and he shakes. He shakes quite a bit, acting like he's trying to stop from heaving forward. Unfortunately, Ace still cries too. When he feels tears well up in his eyes, Ace always ruffles his hair with his hands trying to shake the feeling. Even worse, he cannot always shake it off. Minus the wailing of a child, Ace cries like he's five again. He cries like his brother stepped on his foot because he was being a brat.

Deuce Spade was not much of a crier as a child. His mother provided the best for him and he was always grateful for that. He did cry once because of his mother, though.

When he overheard his mother on the phone talking about him, Deuce cried a lot. Clasping his hand over his mouth, Deuce's lungs constricted as tears rolled down his cheeks. He couldn't breathe between his hand over his mouth and his lungs constricting. So he ran. Deuce Spade, both 15 and a delinquent, ran when his mother was worried for him. He cannot bear to see the people he loves in pain. And when he hurt someone that badly, it's even worse.

kobd: the wildbreak theory

So, let it be known Mercy loves this piece of shit show - only for the Stunticons and specifically Wildbreak 

He’s my favorite character ever, only because every time i see him i go: “omg same” 

HOWEVER, the Wildbreak appreciation post comes later - I got some damning proof this fucker is a KOBD child.

This is fucking long. And only me being obsessed would produce this masteriece.

Buckle up BUCKAROOS- 

So, to begin. 

The famous fan theory in Transformers is that Wildbreak is the love child of Breakdown and Knockout from TFP. 

It’s so popular that everytime you see domestic KOBD art, there’s a good chance a tiny little Wildbreak is in there. 

Usually comes from the fact that TF:RID 2015 is a sequel series to TFP, as well as Wildbreak has an image likened to both of them. He is a Stunticon like Breakdown, but has similarities to Knockout. blah blah, someone already made a shorter post that explains the appearance factor- 

HOWEVER MORE EVIDENCE- I have it. 

Let’s talk about Wildbreak’s Weapon. 

Cutie pie does not get a lot of screen time, in fact, all he gets is five episodes he appears in and one dedicated to him and Dragstrip mainly.

So this episode is all we get of him + Dragstrip + Dragbreak 

In the ep, Dragstrip and Wildbreak stole Windblade’s weapon stash and are being chased down by Bee and the gang. They only get one fight scene and its as Dragbreak [Wildbreak/Dragstrip combined]. 

So when I saw that Dragbreak had a weapon in the form of a HAMMER ON A STICK - I thought huh, sounds too good to be true.

Because isnt it funny that KOBD weapon combo would be a hammer on a stick. 

Let’s assess. aka let mercy ramble at 2am

At first im like, that couldn’t be KO’s weapon [”a shock stick”] cause his is notorious shaped like a “trident” and its extendable.

[lol it has to be the toy model cause TFP’S LIGHTING IS SO DARK I CANT GET A GOOD SCREENSHOT OF IT] 

Until....

I sped it down by 0.25 and i see it transform into this

my ass lifted from the seat AS I WAS LOOKING AT A HAMMER AND A TRIDENT STAFF- THAT IS EXTENDABLE-

AND ITS CONFIRMED TO BE WILDBREAK’S WEAPON BECAUSE

this is Dragstrip’s weapon

its even seen with DRAGBREAK- 

AND NOTHING ABOUT IT CHANGED! IT DIDNT BECOME ANYTHING DIFFERENT or combo with Wildbreaks- ITS JUST DRAGSTRIPS GUN

Which meannnsssss THIS NEVER BEFORE SEEN, HAMMER ON A TRIDENT STAFF HAS TO BE WILDBREAKS. 

I even looked into the older G1 Stunticons for further reference and saw that all Stunticons had guns p much, especially Dragstrip. And I looked at G1 Wildrider and Breakdown since thats where Wildbreak’s namesake came from and...they both have guns. No hammer or staff. Which means-

abbott elementary season 3 ep 1 & 2 REVEIWWWWW

idk why but I thought y'all might wanna hear what I thought about the season premierrrrrr!!!! it was so good and so chaotic. so many things going on at once.

when Janine walked out and revealed as district, I HAD A HEART ATTACK. but then the context helped. im just a little confused because didn't the Manny the district guy say Janine could go back into her class 1-2 days out of the week to teach?? or was it just to go around about hearing feedback?? it was so sad to see Janine's kids not caring about her presence and the super mean substitute. But, that one little boy, Alex, made my heart just warm!!!! It just reminded Janine why she's doing what she's doing!!!

omg and Janine and Gregory?? the way Janine HAD THE CONFIDENCE to go talk to Gregory about her feelings at the beginning of the school year??? like where did that bravery come out of, and she handled the rejection so well. like honey. I would have DIED. but also.... the way Gregory just... moved on???? well, I get why. bro has to protect himself, but like come on greggy boy, don't tell me YOU DONT just feel a little of love for Janine???? but I love the way writers handled it at the end. they didn't leave the awkwardness for the season and that is something I APPRECIATE. and at least we know that Gregory and Janine still want to be friends and still miss each other platonically.

am I being paranoid for being scared of Manny the district guy???? Like my boy Jacob had a point. Manny WAS giving me some crush vibes and it doesn't help how nice and genuine he is. LIKE IM LITERALLY FALLING FOR HIM. and his mom was a teacher??? I would love to see him more, but just not as another pawn in Janine and Gregory's relationship. but, I knowwwww better. and my girl QUINTAAAA will make us wait.

I think Janine is getting really confortable and friendly with the district crew and it's kind of scary me because if she gets TOO comfortable, she won't want to leave. I think when the fellowship ends, they'll offer her a permanent spot on the team and she'll want to take it but still teach at abbott.

Barbara was so cute this episode, with her makeup. and with how honest she was to the district. as some who works at a high school and has been dealing with a particularly horrible district and administration, Barbaras words hit too close to home. but she realized that the whole district team is essentially just 4 Janines with the power and position to make things happen. and I think she's really opening up to relying on the district more.

omg my girl Melissa. honey., I was so scared every time Gary made a marriage joke. and when he proposed I HAD A HEART ATTACK AND FOR A SPLIT SECOND I THOUGHT MELISSA WAS GONNA SAY YES and the rest of the season would be wedding planning. but as embarrassing and heartbreaking as it was for Melissa, she stayed true to herself and was mature to end the relationship. and my girl just crying made me cryyyyy omg. she looks so sad even though she was the one to break up with Gary, AND I KNOWWWWWW SHE'LL STILL BE HEALING. I don't think this is the last well see of Gary since he goes to the school every Thursday, but I think it'll be the end of their relationship permanently. but now that Melissa knows fs was wants to date and knows she doesn't wanna get married, I think she's gonna be in her exploration phase. HOEEEEE PHASSEEEE. god please send Melissa a gay awakening PLEASEEEEE. she needs a rebound and no better rebound than a woman. that would be so fun and so true to her.

but yeah thats all I think so far. and it was a great epsidose and a great start to an already unpredictable season!!!
