the Americas really popped off with potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, maize, and winter squashes, and most beans, and cocoa. if I had to choose only crops native to the old world vs crops native to the new world I would pick new world in a heartbeat. there are native onions and grains and rices that are not endemic. the loss of wheat would be a tragedy but the world without tomatoes would be so so so dark

Calling out specific fandoms is not the move

The people who play so-and-so game also watch so-and-so show and support so-and-so streamer. Everyone hops interest to interest and their attitudes and biases follow. The borders of online communities and tags and forums are imaginary.

There is no one group to blame, there is no gas leak source, there's no villain, its everywhere, its societal, not a unique symptom of one sub-culture over another like please dude cmon.

Hello all,

I’ve spent pretty much 20 to 21 hours of each of the last three days sleeping due to pain. I only woke for brief periods between for food, bathroom, and taking meds.

I didn’t get to the bare minimum of $237 I needed to, so the check for the plumber bounced and I need to pay the returned check fee. Amusingly, that is how much I had raised, so the total hasn’t changed, and I just applied it to the account.

I really need to get him paid, so he’d be willing to work with me in the future if something happens again.

Hiya Folks

So initially I did my update at three in the morning, while in a lot of pain after finishing a really long day. To recap:

Three trips to the hospital, not counting trip to see the eye doc for the pre-surgery recheck

One cat passed away and had to be taken to the crematorium

Winston has a sprained leg I’d like to get checked but haven’t been able to

Spent yesterday trying to fix the water, after the on/off broke on me, after I had already cut the line, so I got drenched and so did a lot of stuff.

Now then, I had gotten a quote for $400 last night, then today, I was able to get it fixed for $208, as long as I get it paid today, we’re good, as they came and fixed it. I’m barely awake, so will need to work on this further after another nap.

a/n: hey so um ik i said i was ONLY gonna write havik, but i really wanna write something fluffy and cute soooo here’s some raiden x reader and rain x reader. i probably won’t do these often, since my goal of this account is to write havik and give my boy more rep. so my account may be 30% mk1 men and 70% havik from now on.

“i’m home, my love!” raiden called out, walking into the home you shared with him. however, it was quiet. too quiet.

“…where are you, my love?” raiden nervously called out, searching around for you. usually you’d greet him as soon as he came home, and would offer to spend time with him. a pit formed at the bottom of his stomach in fear. did you possibly get hurt, or worse, killed?

“i’m in here.” you croaked, on the bathroom floor.

raiden let out a sigh of relief at the sound of your voice, then immediately ran to your side.

“beloved? what’s wrong? are you ill?” he asked. he noticed your hair slightly disheveled, and you were clutching your stomach.

“no, i’m feeling great.” you replied, sarcastically. “i don’t think i’ve been in this much pain before. i’m on my period.”

“oh… i see.” raiden sighed. “i wish you didn’t have to feel this way. is there any way i can help you feel better?”

“thanks, but your support is enough for me. i don’t think there’s anything to do about my cramps.” you gave him a small smile, trying to ignore the pain.

“no, there must be something i can do.” raiden mumbled. “stay here, i’ll be right back.”

you looked up at him in confusion, as he gave you a quick kiss and left.

he returned a few minutes later, with a couple bags in his arms full of treats and pads.

“would this be enough to ease the pain? or at least distract you? i can always go back to the store and buy some more-“

“no, no, this is enough. i really appreciate it, thank you so much raiden.” you interrupted, engulfing him in a hug.

“it’s the least i can do. you’re in a lot of pain right now, i want to help you feel better.” he explained.

he picked you up from the floor, and led you to a couch in front of the television.

“let’s watch some movies. maybe johnny’s got a funny film to keep your mind off of the pain.” raiden said, as he tucked you in the couch and made sure you were comfortable with a blanket and snacks.

you sighed. “i don’t deserve you, raiden.”

“i should be saying that to you.” he replied, starting the movie and pulling you in for a kiss.

rain sighed as he walked inside your house, looking for an escape from his shitty day. you usually helped distract him from his bad days, and he was always relieved to come home to you. but this time, he didn’t see you at first.

“i have returned, my dear.” he called out. but he got no answer.

he didn’t jump to conclusions, and thought you were most likely asleep, since it was quite late. you usually stayed up just to greet him, but rain assumed you decided to go to sleep that night.

rain took off his shoes and got into more comfortable clothes, prepared to join you in bed and go to sleep. until he noticed you weren’t in bed. the only thing he saw was a small stain of blood.

did something happen to you? were you injured and taken away? did he finally receive karma for his wrongdoings, and you were punished for it? no, it couldn’t be. he must check the house. you had to be somewhere.

“darling? are you in here?” rain called out, trying to hide the slight nervousness in his voice. he is no stranger to loss, but he could not accept the loss of his beloved.

“i’m here, zeffeero. don’t worry. i’m sorry i didn’t wait for you today. i just.. feel terrible.” you explained, as he found you curled up next to the toilet.

“i was terrified for a moment. you made me think you were horribly injured.” rain sighed.

“i might as well be, since i’m on my period. my cramps are so bad, i haven’t been able to move from the toilet. i threw up a few minutes ago.” you admitted. rain’s expression softened.

“i see. my apologies for getting mad. so.. did you stain the bedsheets?” he asked.

you didn’t answer, in embarrassment. you just nodded.

“no need to be ashamed. you didn’t mean to. please stay here, i will take care of it.” rain reassured, as he stood up and went to clean the bedsheets.

a few minutes later, he returned and led you back to bed, tucking you in to the newly washed sheets.

“try to go to sleep. perhaps your pain will dull by morning.” he advised, as he turned and went to sleep next to you. you tried to go to sleep as well, but the pain was too strong. you couldn’t sleep, no matter how hard you tried.

after what seemed like an eternity, rain woke up in the middle of the night. he turned and noticed you were still wide awake.

“you haven’t slept, have you?” he whispered.

“i tried.” you whispered back.

rain got up from the bed and left. he returned a few minutes later with a cup of tea he made.

“drink this. it should ease your pain, and help you feel a bit drowsy so you can sleep in peace.” he explained, handing you the tea in bed.

“thank you, zeffeero. you didn’t have to.” you said, giving him a kiss on the cheek as he crawled back into bed.

“well, i’m certainly not going to let you be in pain the whole night, am i?” rain replied, and you both sat in comfortable silence as you drank the tea slowly. you did feel slightly better, and decided to go back to sleep. he wrapped his arms around you and held you until you finally dozed off.

although rain didn’t get the comfort he desired that night, he felt a different type of comfort. by taking care of you.
