Thoughts on Zero One and Kiramager so far + extra (Spoilers)
Man it has been a while since I’ve done this. I was a bit uncertain to really come back and speak my mind on these since I feel what I say doesn’t really matter, I tend to fear what I say could be an unpopular opinion and get flack for it. I’m still hesitant on writing but I felt like wanting to write again after so long. I don’t know if I’ll bring this back but we’ll see. A lot has happened with Toku that’s surprising, I’m surprised how much Toku has been slowly getting itself up to be official over here thanks to various services like discotek and Shout Factory, in an age where you can officially watch the original Kamen Rider series and Kuuga online, If you told me that 5 years ago, I wouldn’t know what to believe.
Recap:
Been three years since I’ve done this iirc, but here’s My thoughts on the seasons I never wrote my full thoughts on.
Kyuranger: This was an up and down series for me. When I first started, I was hating it, due to awful pacing and was doing an awful job of establishing characters, especially Lucky who was hitting the marks of why I disliked Right and Takaharu, thankfully the series picked itself up around the second quarter with Scorpio’s arc and introducing Tsurugi. Would later go down and up with each arc but In my opinion, ended on a decent note. It does suck it never had a crossover with Zyuohger but I did enjoy the Space Squad crossover, which utilized the strengths of the characters really well and was ultimately satisfying.
Ex-Aid: Ex-Aid was a series I was a bit skeptical by but was one over by the end. I enjoyed Emu and his adventures and I give props for the show having two female Riders (Nico counts, fight me!). If there’s an issue, it’d be that I wish they’d just end with the crossover movie cause I feel the V-cinema’s felt like tacked on alternate endings, I do give them credit for trying to connect it to other films.
Lupinranger vs Patranger: A series I’ve seen that’s either enjoyed or disliked. I’m in the former and do like that they experimented with the concept of two different teams. I dig the idea that the Lupins are influenced by more modern Sentai that get the gimmick of the episode while the Pat’s are more akin to classic seasons where they just focus on the Monster, also doesn’t help that Japan has very low views on their justice system so the Lupins are more favorable. Plus I loved the way it ended on an open note, much like how Sanjo tends to do in his writing.
Amazons: Another divisive series and I’m leaning towards those that dislike it.On its own, it’s alright but as a series that uses elements from a classic series, it mostly is superficial in how it uses it cause the original series was remembered for how violent it could be, but there was more to it than just mindless violence. Also doesn’t help the producer’s comment on how “Recent Rider’s aren’t interesting, this series will give it it’s fangs back” saying the shows before it were not good when they were enjoyed by a lot fans. I do give the series credit for trying to write a gray moral type of setting but its flimsily written that it can come off as irritating,, especially around Season 2. Though I’ll give the movie credit for ending the series on a decent note.
Dino Force Brave: A miniseries that caught a lot of fans by surprise, since Korea commissioned a miniseries/continuation for Kyoryuger given how popular it was. It seemed promising, then I saw who was producing and writing it, instead of Sanjo returning. we got Ninninger’s writer. it retcons things like Torin’s not dead and Devius isn’t mentioned (the latter I don’t mind). The series is short which is both its strenght and weakness because for a miniseries, it isn’t given much time to flesh out the new characters, since they only have 12 minutes for each story, shows like the Ultra Fight series work since its serialized and can work as a movie, this not so much but unlike Amazons, I consider this harmless, its nothing too bad and there’s some merit to it (even if they tried saying it was canon in the last Taisen film)
Build: Now this was a series I was actually surprised by, this series is probably my third favorite post Decade Rider series. The series blends the right amount of silly and mature moments. It has a lot of memorable characters and one of my new favorite villlains in the franchise, Evolt was a great villain that really brought the stakes and made you think how this series was gonna deal with him. I remember the ending being divisive but I was ok with it since it does give an explanation for how Build could interact with the other Riders in future crossovers with how the previous seasons (minus Amazons) could connect. plus the V-cinema’s were well handled from an ok one like Cross-Z to a surprisingly Amazing one that is Grease’s V-cinema, now this is how you do a continuation.
Strongest Battle: Now this was a miniseries that caught me by surprise as well since they brought back returning actors to lead up to the next season. Seeing Arakawa still got it and made me hope to see him return writing someday (hint hint). The cast they got surprised me, some I was glad to see return and some I wasn’t too happy with like Takaharu and to an extent Kagura (but too be fair, she wasn’t as bad as Right), but I was intrigued to see what Arakawa would do with them and I was ok with how they were written here though still dislike Takaharu as a character.
Ryusoulger: Ryusoulger is a series that I’ve seen that is pretty loved from what I’ve seen but sadly I’m on the opposite side, I don’t think it was that terrible but more or less disappointing and somehow boring. Strongest Battle setup a lot of things for Ryusoul to follow up on that it felt like a downgrade, like Gaisorg being underutilized that you can tell they didn’t know what to do with him. The writing was all over the place that it was hard to be invested with the characters, who did their best with what they were given but their wasn’t much stakes. If there’s one thing I enjoyed, I really loved the ending arc for giving us not only a Female big bad but also blowing my expectations and breaking status quo, with Red not being the one to finish off the main villain. The ending arc was great yet at the same time was upsetting that the rest of the series wasn’t up to par with it. But now its gonna be the next adaptation after Beast Morphers. With Hasbro in charge, I’m intrigued to see what they do with it.
Zi-o: From the same minds behind Dino Force Brave and Amazons comes what is meant to be a big celebrate/closure of the Heisei era, but threw logic out the window for what is ultimately a fun kind of mess. I don’t mind continuity but I was iffy on how Zi-o retconned the previous seasons as not connected since that’s what they were trying to do until this series went (rip paper) whoops it broke. The series does have some merit with the idea of the Another Rider’s and showing the development of our protagonist and his attempt to defy fate. I also enjoyed when the series stopped time travelling but instead met the characters in the present day cause then the arcs were written better like in Blade and Agito’s tribute episodes. I haven’t watched Geiz’s V-cinema yet but also heard from the producer’s twitter that Woz’s V-cinema isn’t happening, which sucks cause there’s potential in it.
Now that those are done, here we go.
Kamen Rider Zero One:
Now with the start of the Reiwa era, I was hyped since we had Ex-Aid’s writer returning and we got not only a cool awesome secondary but a surprising Female Rider early on and is our third Rider. The first arc starts off strong with Aruto wanting to save the Humagears from Metsubojinrai. Things were looking good until things went downhill thanks to a certain Gold turd known as Thouser, before I get to my issues, I love his suit and how his finishers have a trademark, but that loses its charm when you see him everytime as he’s a very arrogant and obnoxious about his views on how “Humagears aren’t necessary” almost every time. There’s character’s that are meant to be hated, but then there’s characters that you just want to see go away. Once the arc ends the series thankfully pics up with Fuwa getting Rampage, Yua quitting and the return of Izakuchi and Naki. I’m interested to see where things go from here.
Mashin Sentai Kiramager:
Now this was a series I was cautiously optimistic by, since Arakawa returns to write a new series and after my disappointment with Ryusoul, I was nervous but thankfully this series is off to a good start, was surprised we started with episode 0, which does a good job setting up the main 4 before the red shows up. I was a bit skeptical on Juru since he screamed a lot of traits that they could’ve easily screwed up. Thankfully they’ve been doing a good job with Juru, he’s cheerful and imaginative but not a total idiot (what Right should’ve been) and the series has been doing a good job giving everyone their own center episode while not being afraid to take a few risks. I also enjoy the villains like Garza and his rivalry towards Juru due to having a similar ability to his brother that he despised, especially the fight in episode 4 being a highlight. I like that Juru wasn’t sure if he was qualified into being the leader but saw that his passion could help the team in his own unique way. Another thing I love is the Monsters with them going for a Showa aesthetic on mask based Kaijin but with an added twist of a Kaiju counterpart for them to fight, it’s a nice change of pace from just having them grow. The series has done a great job at bringing back an old style and breathing fresh life to it. Was scared hearing what happened to Juru’s actor but thankfully heard he’s doing ok and I’m excited to see what the series brings next.

hiii babes !!! my name is mar ( 23, she/her ) and i’ll be playing this smol dumbass who goes by the name juno.
『  jeon jeongguk. twenty-two. cismale. he/him. 』 yeah, i’ve met juno rhee before. they’re a junior studying photography & dance, right? they’re a scorpio, and they remind me of acoustic song covers, never being happy enough with your self-care, & doodles on notebooks and napkins. i saw them on campus the other day, walking around, and i swear they were singing along to fire on fire by sam smith.
TRIGGERS WARNING:  ( depression tw. eating disorder tw. pornography tw. )
jaehyun rhee, better known as juno rhee ( his mother changed his name when he got into the acting industry )
born in south korea, seoul, his family comes from old money
his mother decided to control every step he did, so as soon as he got older, he was pretty much forced to follow an acting path, despite how much he despised it
however, knowing he couldn’t do anything about it, juno worked hard, even if his mother never seemed pleased with him
juno’s father was a blurry image for the most part of his childhood, because he was always too busy to be with his family
depression kicked in when juno was around 16. he was getting tired of having a camera pushed in front of his face all the time, his mother was making him eat less and less, because she claimed he was gaining too much weight and that meant he wouldn’t be able to get more roles
in two years, juno was merely a shadow of the young boy he used to be, always tired and most of the times fainting during his shootings. one of the producers took him to the hospital when he had enough, despite his mother being against the idea and once everyone learned how badly his health was, they decided on making him take a long break
there was a huge fight at home, but no matter how hard his mother tried to get him roles, nobody wanted to put juno’s life in danger. so she couldn’t do anything else but agree on a six months hiatus
with his hiatus coming to an end and his mother wanting him to get back to acting as soon as possible, juno came with a better idea
he wanted to dance, rather than acting, so he leaked a sex tape with him and another guy, pretty much ending his career because his mother didn’t want her son to continue acting, finding the whole thing a disgrace
she disowned him too, but for the first time in years, juno’s father stepped in and together with his son, they decided it was best for him to leave south korea and get as far as possible from there
that’s how he ended up in michigan not longer after he turned 19 and enrolled to pembroke, hoping no one would know what he did in order to get away from his mother’s claws
now he’s a third year student and he’s living a pretty good life, but he still has episodes every now and then

Blue to Red
19 Days fantasy AU / Zodiac AU / Enemies to lovers
Part 1
Guan Shan hated him. The crown prince of the lands of Scorpio, second son in line to the throne and keeper of the coin: He Tian. And now he sat here, across from the man he despised, as his political prisoner.
His captor’s eyes glinted like the dark depths of the sea far below the cliffside stronghold and he smiled an infuriatingly fake smile. Guan Shan wanted to punch those shiny white teeth out. He Tian offered him wine.
It was a plan so like secretive Scorpios, the house that kept it’s affairs deliberately vague. It was too clean by a half. Keep the prince of Aries locked away in the strongholds of Scorpio and watch Capricorn continue their climb, trampling everything in their path.
Guan Shan glowered at his captor and refused the offered wine.
“We could go for a walk through the cliff gardens today.”
Can I push you off the cliff? Guan Shan had made it abundantly clear that he understood his position and was waiting for any chance to escape this hellish place. And for whatever infuriating reason, He Tain wouldn’t drop the charade of treating Guan Shan like an exalted guest. He Tian accompanied Guan Shan everywhere, fed him well and offered entertainments of all kinds.
Guan Shan forked a piece of fish with a little more effort than was necessary, choosing not to make eye contact with those inky-dark eyes.
He Tian sighed, tossing a napkin to the side. “I’ve given you every comfort and dignity and yet you’re stubborn as a Taurus.”
Guan Shan stabbed another piece of fish.
“You sulk and refuse to negotiate. You even refuse to apologize for your house’s destruction of hundreds of Scorpio’s merchant ships.”
There was a clatter as Guan Shan threw his fork down. His skin started to prickle and singe with the heat of fire and a thin layer of wisping flames covered his arms.
He Tian continued. “Yes, make a rash decision my little Aries pet.” The word rankled Guan Shan. “It’s mercy you’re here under my protection and not my brother’s or father’s. Your house’s actions are reason enough to take your head.”
The words had their desired effect. Guan Shan stood abruptly, his flames leaping. The ever-present guards at his back tensed. “Why don’t you just do it already?” The words were harsh and pitched low in his native tongue. He Tian cooly cut off another piece of fish, popped it into his mouth and chewed, savoring it. “It would be in bad taste to do so before we have the backing of the council.”
Damn the council and damn this place. Guan Shan planned to be long gone before the next house council meeting. “I’m not going out to the gardens to be stared at like some exotic pet.”
He Tian snorted “I don’t have you on a leash. Believe me, you’d know if you were a pet.”
Guan Shan flushed. He always lost these exchanges with He Tian. He didn’t have a mind for deception and pretty phrases. “That’s not, I wasn’t saying–”
“Of course not, you made your stance very clear the first night we met.”
A memory of He Tian pressed close and running possessive hands over the planes of Guan Shan’s body burst through his mind.
“Why would I fuck you?”
He Tian leveled a look that said Guan Shan wasn’t the one who would do the fucking. “We’re of the same rank and distractions are far and few between.” He Tian’s tone was arrogantly sure. You have nothing to do and you’re pretty. Why wouldn’t you want me in your bed?
Guan Shan turned from the table with a sound of disgust and stomped out. The guards followed him like ever-present shadows.
Back in He Tian’s quarters, he took up his usual game of cards with Brother Qui. They were both fire-born. It had surprised Guan Shan to see someone from the House of Leo working in a such a high rank in the House of Scorpio.
“Ready to lose again old man.” He shuffled the cards and dealt them out. A seagull call rang outside the window. The air was always a little damp and chill. Guan Shan chafed against the long flowing layers of robes he had been given to wear, clothes in the Scorpio style. The colors were deeply intense in a muted way and the layers rolled and shifted like the water-born’s fighting style. He ached for his own Aries clothes, tunics that stopped at the calf and the shoulder allowing for easy movement and keeping cool in the summertime heat. He wondered if there ever was summertime heat on this cursed cliff.
Qui was passive and they played in comfortable silence for a time. Guan Shan was losing badly but didn’t mind, he was gambling with money pilfered from He Tian’s drawers. He couldn’t fathom why he stayed in the prince’s quarters and not locked away in some other room or deep in the dungeon. It hardly mattered though, He Tian was almost never in his room. He barely slept and Guan Shan usually had the large, immaculate quarters to himself.
“You shouldn’t provoke the prince.”
Guan Shan scowled at his cards. “Is he your prince?”
“He is now. Him and his brother.”
“He wants to take my head off.”
“Your fate will be decided by the council.”
Guan Shan threw the cards down “Then why am I here? He has no proof that I burnt his precious merchant ships.”
“I don’t pretend to know the prince’s plans.”
Guan Shan stood abruptly. He didn’t want to talk about the damn prince. “I’m going to the practice ring.”
Everything here seemed to be inside. Practice rings in Aries were open to the air and floored with packed dirt. The main practice ring in the Scorpio keep was tiled on the walls and surrounded by water. Carefully treated wood made up the floor and soft light came from moonstones set throughout the tiled walls. It made Guan Shan feel like he was in a cavern and he didnt like it. He liked it even less when he rounded the corner and saw He Tian. Guan Shan turned on his heel but it was too late, the scorpion saw.
“My little ram, why don’t you join me?” The voice was drippingly sweet. Guan Shan knew better than to trust it.
“I don’t want to train next to you.” He turned to leave again when He Tian said: “A friendly spar then.”
Guan Shan stopped in his tracks. He had been itching to fight the prince since he’d been taken here. “You want to fight me?” It was more a statement than a question.
“Unless you’re afraid of getting wet.”
Guan Shan stalked forward. This pretentious prince didn’t know what he was asking for. His control over water might help him navigate the seas and heal wounds but everyone knew the water houses were wet sops. Their strength came from the sea’s depths. In a real fight, He Tian had no chance. The only reason Guan Shan hadn’t fought his way out of this place was the sheer amount of armed guards he’d have to fight through.
He Tian looked cool and comfortable, not primed for a fight. This would be quick. Guan Shan pushed the top layers of his robes off so that they hung around his waist and his chest was bare. The robes hung low around his ankles, lower than he’d want to wear for a fight but there was nothing he could do about that.
He Tian raised an eyebrow, watching Guan Shan half strip. “I’ve always wanted to fight a fire-warrior. I’ve heard so much about your barbaric style.”
Guan Shan willed himself to stay calm. He wanted to singe the prince, not obliterate him. They squared off a few paces from each other. As a polite courtesy the prince didn’t deserve, Guan Shan didn’t call on his fire before the fight started. He simply stood poised and ready, taut with tension. He Tian was calm as ever. “Let’s make this a little more interesting. If you yield, you have to go with me to the garden party tonight.”
Guan Shan snorted. He didn’t want to play games. “Fine. And when you yield I’m free.”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that.”
“Then how about I never have to see your ugly face again?”
“Deal.”
The call was given and Guan Shan burst into flames. He Tian was taller and had a better reach, but Guan Shan’s fire would give him an advantage if he could get in close. He moved forward in a flurry and found, to his surprise, that He Tian wasn’t there. A flow of water obscured his vision. He cut through it easily to see that He Tian had side stepped. Guan Shan followed again, breaking through water sprays head first as he would cut through flames lobbed at him in his home practice ring. He Tian simply side stepped and side stepped again.
It was infuriating. It wasn’t a sparring match so much as it was a push and pull dance. Nothing connected except for harmless sheets of water breaking against Guan Shan’s fire. It felt like He Tian was taking Guan Shan for a leisurely stroll up and down the practice arena. He Tian was trying to tire him out.
“I can do this all day. Stand and fight.”
He Tian smiled that fake smile “I’ve been waiting for you to bring me a real fight.”
Guan Shan took a deep breath and lobbed a ball of fire around the sheets of water, forcing He Tian to change his footing. The water prince wanted a fight? He’d get a fight. To hell if he got burned.
The pace picked up and Guan Shan advanced flinging fire in a flurry that would overwhelm most opponents. Somehow, He Tian still looked cool, his eyes impassive slate grey. Guan Shan closed into the distance that he had wanted from the beginning and arm collided with arm in a sparring tete-a-tete. He Tian was surprisingly strong but Guan Shan had the upper hand at close range. His fire sent He Tian stumbling and a little fissure in the cold prince’s composure cracked. Guan Shan closed in again for the final blow, knocking aside weak sheets of water. He bore down fire, reaching for the hold that would force He Tian to yield, when suddenly the prince wasn’t there, like so many wisps of smoke.
Guan Shan whirled in time to see the wall of water come for him and the sick truth with it: He Tian had been holding back the whole time.
He felt his head snap back with the impact and he fell into the depths of the water surrounding the ring. When he surfaced, He Tian’s smug face was above him. “Cooling off? Looks like I’ve won, my little ram.” Guan Shan cursed and hauled himself out of the water.
“I was hoping for more of a fight. I guess water does beat fire. I’ll have clothes laid out for you for this evening. I think you really will like the gardens.”
Steam rose from Guan Shan’s body, drying what he could of his soaked cloaks. He Tian could have easily pulled the water out of the clothes, but he didn’t.
Guan Shan had to escape this place.
***
The garden was nestled in a cliff hamlet overlooking the cold, dark blue ocean. It was pretty if a bit sparse and ordered, not at all like the lush, sprawling gardens back home. And, just as he thought, Guan Shan was a spectacle. Highborn Scorpios asked barbed questions, feigning niceties when the entire time they simmered with distaste. It was clear that everyone in the Scorpio kingdom thought Guan Shan was personally responsible for the merchant ships that had burned to a crisp. It was heinous, forcing an unarmed sailing crew to choose between fire and water. Burn or drown. Death on all sides.
But he hadn’t done it. None of his people had done it. And he hadn’t the slightest clue why He Tian, why all of the Scorpios, were so set on believing that he had any hand in it. Guan Shan looked down over the side of the portico. The waves were so far beneath them they could barely be heard. He was in a quiet corner, eating in as much peace as he could find.
“Could Aries rams climb these cliffs?” Guan Shan tensed at the deep voice wrapped in silk. Somewhere in those silky folds a dagger hid.
“We don’t climb cliffs.”
“You’re not very good at small talk.”
“Why would I need to make small talk with you?”
He Tian smiled and lifted a drink to his lips. “The council meets in a month.”
Guan Shan didn’t want to be needled again today. “What could I have to gain from burning your damn ships?”
“I would think that’s obvious.”
What was obvious was that the House of Aries was poor. It had been a lesser power for several decades now and was on the brink of bankruptcy. In the past, his proud warrior people had turned to plundering to get what they needed and to establish their wealth. But that was a long time ago. And anyways, they had never gone after ships on the treacherous seas.
“It would burn up. Whatever those ships were carrying, it would burn up or it would fall into the sea. And our lands are nowhere near the coast. That’s a lot of effort for nothing.”
For once, He Tian didn’t have a smart comment waiting. He looked like he was digesting something he didn’t like.
“Anyways, it doesn’t matter what you think.”
He Tian blinked from his reverie. “I assure you little ram, it does matter.”
“Only to you.” And with that, Guan Shan heaved a gulp of air, pushed himself up onto the balustrade, and launched himself over the side.
Notes: I wrote this in a day and I’ve got chapter two a quarter of the way done! But uh, please don’t get too invested because my life is mayhem and I never know when I’ll have time to write 😣. I love the enemies to lovers trope, and the Zodiac signs and meanings fascinate me. Hit me up if you like it! 💕

There are good guys (the Renegades) and the bad guys (the Anarchists). Both have powers and both want to take the other down. The Anarchists hatch a plan to infiltrate the Renegades. Huge cliffhanger on the last page and the next book isn’t out yet I’m sorry.
Across the Universe Trilogy by Beth Revis**
Godspeed is a spaceship sent to find a new Earth. Scientists and soldiers have been cryogenically frozen to be woken up when they land. Meanwhile, many generations have been living aboard Godspeed so they’ll have colony when they get to new Earth. A scientist’s daughter accidentally gets woken up too early and befriend the future leader of the people of Godspeed. What follows is so many twists and turns and cliffhangers you’ll have to finish all three books as fast as you can.
Sekret Machines #1: Chasing Shadows by Tom Delonge and AJ Hartley
Like 7 main characters who don’t meet until the very end. They each are somehow wrapped up in the whole Area 51 UFO conspiracy and it’s a wild ride. There’s a massive cliffhanger on the last page, so just a fair warning.
The Body Electric by Beth Revis**
A girl can see into peoples’ dreams and memories and meets a boy who says they used to be in love and sees his memories to know he’s telling the truth. Which means... someone has altered her memory. (Takes place in the same universe as the Across the Universe trilogy, but no background knowledge of those books is needed)
The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
This trilogy is a wild ride. The books are set up as collections of found files and documents and emails and it makes for a truly immersive reading experience. Spaceships with AIs that won’t listen and just make everything worse and kill people. It reads like a high stakes space movie and it’s thrilling and incredible.
Fantasy
Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
A girl collects teeth for a chimaera who grant wishes, for a price. Black handprints appear everywhere around the world, left there by angels. The girl gets swept into a battle she didn’t even know existed and falls in love with an angel, but everything comes with a price.
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
Lazlo Strange grew up researching about a lost city called Weep. Then he gets the chance to visit it and help solve its problems. Meanwhile, Sarai is a godspawn and yearns to be human, but in the meantime must be content with watching their dreams. The two eventually meet and craziness ensues.
The Prestige by Christopher Priest
This is borderline sci-fi too, but it’s about magicians so like... I gotta put it in the fantasy category. Very similar to the movie (go watch it!) Focuses on two rival magicians both trying to perfect the same trick, but they go about it in very different ways. Nikola Tesla is a character and is played by David Bowie in the movie. The ending is wild and crazy and a little creepy, but all in good fun.
The Nightmare Affair by Mindee Arnett
About a girl who can see into peoples’ dreams and goes to a boarding school for magical beings. She and her reluctant partner have to help figure out who has been murdering students.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer Trilogy by Michelle Hodkin**
This one is a little creepy. Mara Dyer can kill people just by wishing it would happen. She meets a boy who can heal people just by wishing it would happen. Of course, nothing is what it seems.
The Great Library Series by Rachel Caine
Literally a book about loving books. In this world, only certain people get to read books and take care of them, but of course, that has its own dangers.
The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
This is about the fictional island of Thisby, where every year deadly water horse come out of the sea and the islanders race them. This year, Sean Kendrick, the undefeated champion, is racing to buy his freedom. Kate “Puck” Connolly is racing to save her family’s house, but sadly, only one can win.
Realistic Fiction
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy by Jenny Han**
This series is adorable and makes me smile so much. Lara Jean writes her crushes love letters and then hides them in her closet and never sends them. Well, they get sent. And who is her most recent crush? None other than her older sister’s boyfriend. So, to counteract the letter, Lara Jean enlists the help of a past crush to be her fake boyfriend until it all blows over.
This Adventure Ends by Emma Mills
This book made me laugh and cry! A girl moves and befriends a set of brother/sister twins. Her and another friend track down a lost painting and her father is basically the book’s version of Nicholas Sparks.
I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak
This is about an underage cab driver who accidentally stops a bank robbery and then gets playing cards in the mail and has to figure out what to do with them. It features a dog named the Doorman who only drinks coffee and a hysterical narrator. This is my all-time fave book.
Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas (NA)
The main characters have been pen-pals for years but have never met, though they are both hopelessly in love with each other. Then something happens and the boy stops writing. The girl doesn’t understand what’s going on. Meanwhile, there’s a new kid at her school that she can’t seem to stay away from. This story is very gritty and angsty, but wonderful.
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (NAish)
The two main characters are both the assistants to co-CEOS. They share an office and absolutely despise each other. They always play games to see who will cave first and to find out what makes the other tic. Obviously, they have a lot of pent-up feelings and anger.

I don't real believe in Horoscopes/Zodiac Signs, but I want to make a list of opinions on people in my life based on their sign so here we go. Disclaimer: don't take offence this is literally just me ranting about people in my life.
Aries (March 21st - April 19th)
I don't actually know that many Aries, but I think I know a few in passing and they seem like pretty chill dudes. Kinda relaxed, they're good for a chat sometimes.
Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
This is me! I like other Taurus, they are p cool. That's all really. We're kinda quiet actually.
Gemini (May 21st - June 21st)
My little brother is a Gemini and half the time I want to throw him out the window because he's an annoying little shit and the other half he's very charming with good intentions.
Cancer (June 22nd - July 22nd)
I get on really well with Cancers. They're very introverted, a bit obscure, and probably have a mental illness but they are so loving and understanding and funny you could hang out with them in silence for hours and it would never be awkward.
Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
They are...scary. The main Leo that I know is very opinionated and always thinks she's right and claims to be neutral but she's really not and is a talented artist and acts quiet but in reality she will cut a bitch. Not literally though. Verbally or emotionally.
Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
I have a love/hate relationship with all the Virgos in my life. Most of my crushes throughout my life have been on Virgos, and also my mum happens to be a Virgo. I love 'em, but I hate them.
Libra (September 23rd - October 23rd)
As far as I know, I actually don't know any Libras.
Scorpio (October 24th - November 21st)
My ex was a Scorpio and he was a nice dude but he was a bit too much for me, it was kinda overwhelming. I've also watched Glam&Gore (Mykie) and she's a Scorpio, and again, she seems lovely but just too much for me to handle.
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
I despise Sagittarius with every fibre of my being, they are selfish and loud and egotistical, and I hate them. Specifically the ones born in late November, y'all can stay away from me.
Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
In contrast, I've always felt very fond of Capricorns, they're funny and honest and I like 'em a lot. I've had close friends that are Capricorns that never stabbed me in the back, but they've never let me get away with shit either.
Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
I'm kinda neutral for Aquarius, although y'all are kinda annoying. Actually, on second thought, I believe my cousin is an Aquarius and he's cool so y'all are okay.
Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
All the Pisces I've ever met have been charming and selfish and two-faced so pls stay away from me. This includes my father, an almost-ex, and a close friend.

Astrology Prejudices: Scorpio Pt.2 - Jealousy
Oh the Scorpio, Othello of the zodiac signs. Yes, I have to give you that one; I’ve met some pretty horrendously jealous Scorpio boys and girls. They blackmail emotionally, try to control you, throw ugly tantrums (and not just in private, unfortunately), and more or less, make your life pretty difficult if you’re with them. Even worse, they make your life difficult even if they’ve simply got crush on you.
But it’s not the entire truth of Scorpio jealousy, of course. Let’s examine the developed Scorpio.
Scorpio is a sign that likes to be in control. That said, this enormous self-control includes mastering your own tumultous emotions. Another thing: it’s a voraciously proud creature, this Scorpio of yours. He/she is full of self-confidence and incredibly aware of magnetic powers he/she owns. Scorpio can be a very loyal partner in relationships, but loves to mesmerize every single person available. So, in their minds, there is this incredibly strong awareness: I can have whoever I want. And after all, why would you leave me for someone else while knowing MY bedroom skills are the best thing that happened to you, like, ever?
(Yes, they ARE full of themselves. Forget about the Leos. Leos are just show offs. Scorps MEAN it.)
So, contrary to the popular opinion - no, Scorpio doesn’t get so easily jealous. Maybe sometimes, in a lovely, small way, to make you fall in love even more, to show you he/she cares. But losing control over it? Letting him/herself think that someone could beat him/her down in love area? It’s downright hilarious for a true Scorpio. Which said, don’t even think this coolly controlled arrogance makes Scorpios naive. They will immediately know who likes you and who is the person you consider attractive. They will have it under control without you even being aware of it. The only fuck-up is: there is no chance in hell they will let it show.
But hey, if you thought that there is a twist to the story, of course you were right. The strongest Scorpio you’ll find can get insanely jealous - that is, if he/she is not in a relationship with you.
If they have fallen in love with you, and whatever circumstance keeps you apart - you’re not together, you’re not seeing each other often, but your Scorpio guy/gal feels the desire for you (yes, it’s usually mutual), he/she could get internally jealous. And by it I mean, really fucking jealous. They will literally envy the air you breathe. They’ll tolerate your parents, or siblings, or children, maybe, but everyone else, people who work with you, your friends, colleagues, acquintances, they will all get on their nerves. It’s their desire working. They want to possess you, and they will instinctively want to push to sides everyone who could be a threat to that ambition of theirs. If you’re in a relationship, yes, they will probably secretly despise your partner, but these occasional jealousy fits will have their ups and downs. Scorpio will look at your partner from all sides. He/she will find his/her weaknesses in no time. Oh, that girl you’re with, she’s a bit clingy, isn’t she? Come to me, and I will give you the freedom you crave, says the Scorpio. That boy of yours, well, he doesn’t even BLINK, he is so socially awkward! But I, your Scorpio, I can be the charming prince/princess of your dreams that talks to guests smoothly on every party and fancy dinner you throw. Where your partner is weak, Scorpio will strengthen - only to get you.
You will caught their moments of jealousy from time to time. It will be a small furious glance or a hurtful, vulnerable remark. They will do that to show you they care for you and want you passionately - like no one else. Which is, at the end of it, probably true.
