Can we please talk about the moment in 03 when Ed is finally faced with the truth of his intervention in Liore, and falls to his knees in front of the graves of countless people who died as a result.... As though the weight of this understanding is too much to bear and he buckles under the consequences of his own actions

Mustang didn't tell him about the outcome of Liore because it was too big for Ed to handle, but there is only so far Ed can run before he is inevitably confronted by it: he fucked up so colossally that he will never even know the full extent of the damage he caused.
