sae would be so done. i mean....he walked out on a literal interview, so what makes you think he won't walk out on a photoshoot? he probably hates the very idea of plastering his face all over billboards and magazines. but his manager said that he was in desperate need of good publicity, especially after that stunt he pulled with the last commercial endorsement. if sae was forced to model though, he'd definitely be as stiff as a board. no facial expressions whatsoever and always sticks to one pose. oftentimes, this involves him facing the wall and only showing half his face. if the photographer wants a full frontal, he's going to have to deal with sae's "i don't want to be here and i'm being held hostage" face. even if sae does try smiling, it looks more like a grimace. the only redeeming quality here is that he is good-looking. if you look at the official art, he doesn't even have to try to get all of you drooling over him. that face card does not decline. like ever. so the shoots usually wrap up pretty quickly because out of the 100 images taken, at least half are going to be usable. he's photogenic from any angle.

He thought for a moment, looking at the team and back at you, coming up with an answer. "I do not mind cooking dinner tonight. I see that everybody likes it, so sure." He smiled genuinly.

"Oh... "

Suddenly an idea came into mind, "Why don't I help you cook dinner tonight?" You grabbed Zane's hand with a grin painted on your face.

"Have you ever cooked before, Y/N? I do not think it would be a good idea for you to-" "Of course! Everyone cooked something in their life. Even though it may or may not have burned over 50 times- Just come on, I think it will be fun!"

You and Zane aoomed out of the living area, leaving the others in confusion. "If Y/N burns down the kitchen, Zane will be the only one cooking dinner for now on." Jay spoke before looking back to his Nintendo, the others nod in agreement.

Zane stood in the kitchen while you grabbed all the instenils.

He looked to the clock on the stove and read, 8: 56. It was 9 at night and you had this much energy in you?

"Okay!" Your voice caused the Nindroid to reaturn to reality and walk toward you. "What are cooking, Y/N?"

"I don't know." You shrugged, "I went shopping couple days ago and I grabbed this steak." You took out a pack of steak from a bag and tossed the bag in the trash. You placed the tray in the sink and put the steak on top of it. "Cole said something about being skilled in cooking steaks? I would like to that in action."

Zane blinked a couple of times before smiling.

"Let's get started." You grinned as you handed him his pink apron. "What kind of cook cook's without his apron?" You winked as you bowed, raising his apron in the air.

He chuckled quielty before taking it from your hold and put it around his torso. You put your's on right after and you both got to cooking.

Oven was set to 500 degrees, the pan was on the stove and with gloves Zane grabbed the piece of steak and slowly placed it on the oily pan.

"What makes you steak so special, Robot-man?" You asked, saying the same you called him first meeting him. He smiled at the name but replied, "I don't think my steak's that speical then Cole anticpates, but I'm glad many like it."

You nod in understanding, sitting on the counter by the stove. Zane was anxious about that. Your hand was close to the burner and his eyes were locked on your hand. For a while, I mean.

"I don't think that's wise." He spoke up after moments of you not moving your ahdn. "Hm?" You asked but realized was he meant. "Don't wory about, I'm always careful."

"Kai said the same thing last time we was in the kitchen and he managed to burn his entire arm. And no, It wasnt because of his Elemental Power, he wasn't careful." Zane spoke, locking eyes with you which caused you to laugh nervously.

"Zahane. I swear, I'll be alright. I'm nothing like that hot-head, I'll be okay." You hopped off the counter and grabbed a cutting bored from the cupbored and a small cutting knife.

Zane nods his head, believeing what you told him.

You bob your head to a song you were singing in your head by F/S. You were cutting up some onions to put around the steak. You were so into the humming of your song, your hand slipped off to the side and the knife sliced your finger.

You gasp at the feel of the cut before dropping the kinfe that had barely zero blood on it. Blood dripped from your index finger and onto a piece of onion. You grabbed a towel nearby and turned away from Zane when he heard your gasp on pain.

"Y/N? Did you cut yourself?" He assumed, leaving the steak and made his way to you. Your back was away from him and you laughed nervously. "Wh-whaht? Me? No-no, I'm okay. Just a close call-" Zane gently grabbed your shoulder and saw you cover the finger with a towel.

He looked at you with a 'really' look and you smiled sheepihsly. "Hehe- I tried to be careful?" Zane sighed, taking your hand and guides you toward the sink.

"Zane? Zane, come on, I'm fine. It's barely bleeding."

"I don't believe you." He replied and you sighed, allowing him to unroll the towel to reveal the wound.

He turned the the tap and waited for the hot water to pour. Once it did he slowly placed your finger under the water, "This miht sting, I'm sorry." He whispered in your ear. He was stood behind you, his arms wrapped around your body as he cleaned your wound.

You hissed at the pain when the water hits the wound, but when he added the soap you grabbed his arm to pull him back. "I know." He spoke softly as tears stung in your eye.

Seconds later he turned the water off and cleaned your woun with the towel to stop the bleeding. Quickly he grabbed a bandaid from the first aid kit in the bottom drawer and placed the bandaid on your finger.

"Thanks." You spoke after a couple minutes of silence while Zane went back to cooking the steak. He nods before walking back to you. You were sitting on the chair and table by the side of the kitchen. "You're welcome, Y/N. I told you to be careful, and you manged to cut yourself seconds later. That doesn't seem 'careful' to me."

You chcukled to yourself, "I'm so glad my knight in shinging titanium armor was here to help." You joked, but you didn't hear Zane laugh. You looked up at him to see a hint of light pink on his cheek.

"No way. You're blushing?" You laughed as Zane pulled away from you. "I'm unsure what you mean, Y/N?" He smiled to himself, going back to the steak.

You grinned, "Don't fuck with me, Robot-man. You were blushing, I made tou blush! And that quickly too? Wow, you are one easy Ninja to fluster. I though Jay was wor-"

Suddenly, you felt a pair of cold lips collide with your's. Your eyes widen when you realized it was Zane? He was fully into it, eye's shut and all. His hands were resting on your shoulder as your neck was streched up to reach his lips.

He pulled away after moments of kissing, and without knowing, a blush a red covered your cheeks and nose. It was like the middle of your face was covered with dark red paint.

"I'm sorry? You were saying something?" He teased, butterflies in your stomach started to form and you giggled uncontrollably. Zane smiled at you and went back to the steak.

Dinner arrived around 11 and everyone was seated around the table. They all got their plate and began to dig in. You made some side dishes such as mashed poatoes, salad, and you even made poutine, with Zane's help of course.

Everyone seemed to enjoy it x10 then before when Zane made dinner. "Woah. Zane, you've outdid yourself with this steak. It's delisious! What's in it?" Nya smiled as she took yet another bite as she asked.

You and Zane looked at each and you replied for him, "Well, I'm glad you asked Nya. You see, I was cutting the onions but I accdentily cut my finger and maybe a little bit of blood may of slipped in there. That may be what your eating?"

Suddenlt, everyone but Zane and you spat the food out while MAster Wu silently grabbed a napkin and spat it out in his white napkin. "Ah, ew! Y/N blood!" Jay cringed as Y/N and Zane chuckled to themselves.

because well, he loves you, and samatoki most certainly isn’t no one

i mean, you were the love of his life! samatoki wouldn’t have dated you if he hated you

he can’t entirely stand people who wallow on themselves, to be honest. he doesn’t give pity easily, so admittedly, toki does begin getting ticked when you start voicing such thoughts

because first of all, no. you are very much capable of being loved, and samatoki would probably beat anyone up if they said otherwise. he very much needs everyone to appreciate his girl

and secondly, what about him? he loved you. were you doubting him? because samatoki hates that

did he mean nothing to you? all those times he’s cooked you dinner, muttered ‘i love you’s before bed — did they not hold any meaning to you? well, that fucking hurts him so

he loves you a lot. he really does. but god this was so frustrating. he felt so undervalued and under appreciated, as if you couldn’t see how much your boyfriend loved you, what he’d do for you and only you

and well, samatoki isn’t quite good with communication, so the anger definitely builds and it turns into a confrontation more or less

he doesn’t mean to snap — he can never do so with you — but samatoki is hot-tempered. so it inevitably happens one day after a rough day at work and coming home to you. his patience was already thin, and he’s had it by then

why would you even say that?? you can see the hurt in his eyes, how he wears his heart on his sleeve at this very moment. was he not doing enough for you? he already lost nemu; he didn’t want to lose you too, the other important girl to him

it is eye-opening, as frightening as it also was to have your scary boyfriend snap at you (he was something else when pissed, and he never thought you’d be on his bad side, ever)

he was right — he did do a lot for you. everything samatoki did showed how much he loved you. and it’s not as if you didn’t know that, but simply put, anxiety was a bitch

you thought he deserved better, that he’d realize it all one day and just leave. honestly, it was self-perpetuating at this point and hard to break out of — a habit of sorts

but as samatoki just spills himself, how he feels like you can’t see how much he fucking loves you and what he does for you, it does hit you

and even if it simply worsens your anxiety at the moment (it tells you that that’s the exact reason why you’re so unloveable), it does put things into perspective. i mean, samatoki was still with you after all this, and surely that meant he loved you. he wasn’t a man of pity

you do apologize, perhaps getting overwhelmed yourself and explaining all your anxieties and feelings, but samatoki is quick to shut them all down (perhaps in a bit of an overtly aggressive way) and tell you that none of that is true

he loves you a lot, and that was final

samatoki doesn’t get it, but he tries to, to an extent. he doesn’t get your anxieties, and while he tries to be understanding, there’s definitely a limit. he can only do so much before it becomes, well, much

you do have to promise him that you won’t say such things again, that you do realize how much samatoki loves you and how he tries for you

mutter an “i love you too” back at the end of it all though, and samatoki will be content

he’ll sigh and scold you though for saying such stupid shit, but it’s a bit more of a light hearted tone this time

though self-love definitely is a long journey, toki would be by your side, reminding you time and time again how much he loves you

and even if you didn’t love yourself at the current moment, thinking that you were so unloveable, samatoki certainly did. and that would be enough for now

Honey I've seen how you write for taehoon and I must say that you're really good at doing his characterization.

I personally think that, because he's someone who has quite a hard time expressing himself and with relationships, he would actually not put that much efforts in his relationship with reader. Like not trying to respect others' boundaries and working for the relationship to work, because for him of reader knows he like them and they like him why do anything else ? It'd be a waste of time. That is until reader is fed up because he's doing the bare minimum and wants to break up. As soon as reader says this, he feels something beating and throbbing in his chest. He's scared. In a way he didn't feel since a while. He can't lose them right ? He can do better! He just got to show them! So when reader let him a second and last chance, he becomes the best partner. So much that it's not easy to believe he didn't put any works at first. But it's weird because it actually doesn't really bother him. When he see how reader smile when he just sit next to same and enjoy each other's presence. Did they always smile so brightly ? Now that he've seen how a relationship work he's gonna do his best to not let reader down again.

I build a lot of his maturity based on the trauma of losing Dowoon. In my hc, I cannot overstate the impact this has had on him. He's healed somewhat, but it's an ongoing journey and he has learnt a lot from it.

With Taehoon losing someone so close to him (and seems like the only friend he had), he makes the effort to be a little bit kinder to you if you manage to get close.

Kinder is subjective though.

But he's had the experience of pushing someone away, and then it resulting in the worst possible outcome so he's not likely going to repeat that mistake again.

Of course he is an asshole to everyone, you included but he tries.

He's not a complete robot. He's smart and perceptive af. Taehoon knows how other people sees him, the effect he has on people, he just doesn't care.

In a relationship though, he would show he cares. In his own way. He gives you a little bit more leeway, does a bit more for you, tries to make himself a better partner for you.

Note - partner, not person. He's not going to fundamentally change who he is, but he will learn to read you a bit better and if there's something he does that genuinely upsets you and doesn't clash with his morals/principles then he will give it a go.

Honestly, I think if he's doing the bare minimum with you then your relationship is on the way out. He's not going to put in the effort if he doesn't want to be with you.

Then again, Taehoon imo is the kind of person that would just straight up tell you that. He doesn't mince his words.

What fear of rejection can cause

The first time Impulse caught a glimpse of you was during 3rd life.

His first feeling towards you was confusion. You were collecting wood at a random forest just by the time he was passing by it, some people would call it fate.

You were talking to your chat, small creatures that resembled allays, each of them with different personalities and distinguishing features. It took him a few seconds to remember who you were, he had never seen you before, having found out about you through Grian when he told everyone he had invited an old friend of his to the 3rd life server. Looking briefly over your features which matched with the ones his avian friend mentioned was all it took for him to shrug it off, not yet deeming you an enemy.

As expected from him, he went to chat with you, introduce himself and link a face to a name. Your chat seemed pleasantly surprised with his sudden appearance, excitedly chirping while spinning around your head and his, their little sounds unintelligible to his ears even though you could hear them yell his name very clearly. Impulse caught on to what they were doing quickly, having already gone through the same situation many times with other people. He smiled at the small beings and waved.

The first conversation of you guys was okay, awkward, if you were to describe it as anything else. After that the both of you just decided to keep to yourselves, having mutual allies and friends who kept you two together, sometimes saying "hi" when you crossed paths. Nothing else was going on between you other than that.

Impulse was curious, something about you just wouldn't let him be in peace.

Sure, you guys didn't quite click when you first met, but there had to be something about you, right? Grian was friends with you for years, the others, your newfound friends, seemed to nearly mirror Grian's bond with you despite having just met you, despite not knowing you as long as he did.

Impulse should have been guilty, it couldn't have been right to follow you around like that, in secret even. But to be fair, he was guilty at the start. He even gave up following you the first time he decided to do so, but the second time… The second time he figured he had a reasonable excuse. He wanted to know more about you so that the awkwardness wouldn't happen the next time he tried to befriend you! So that you guys would click like you did with the others, you eventually would.

Hesitation kept him from even approaching you, he got used to just seeing you interact with the world and the others around you from an outsider's point of view and imagining himself going through such situations with you according to that. He didn't want to ruin the fantasy or his chance at befriending you, he knew you were a kind person, but one could only ruin so many chances, so for now, he would stick to learning more about you.

At first, this was all there was to it, curiosity, then, you started seeming like such a good friend! Perhaps your kindness was what charmed him even more, treating his friends kindly brought you some extra points in his book, the one you knew nothing about.

Kindness could only get you so far, you had come across Etho as he was messing with redstone, the redstone Impulse recognized as the bunch he had brought to him. You seemed very interested in the ore, asking a lot of questions, questions Impulse himself could have answered to you had you just directed them to him, him and not Etho. Still, a victory was a victory. The still hidden man quietly cheered behind some random bush as you two spoke, too engrossed in the matter to notice a grown man almost jumping around in giddiness as he found out a new thing you two had in common. Something that could possibly bring you two together!

All good things must come to an end. It was hard seeing you reach your red life and die before him and not even be able to help you, the only thing he was able to do was avenging you, bringing your killers down. Still, it was all fun and games between friends, that was, before he noticed that was it. You weren't a hermit, you were on this series because of Grian but Xisuma was the admin of the Hermitcraft server, the things there were different and Grian could only do so much considering Xisuma didn't have the least of clues about who you were.

When that dawned on him, all hell broke loose, you guys weren't close enough to keep contact and neither was it normal for him to just ask his friends what server you were at currently or for your communicator ID. As much as he could do so, he also just couldn't, or at least that's what his brain told him. Was this what fear of rejection felt like?

He brainstormed a plan right off the bat. He had to convince Xisuma to white list you. And the most natural way for doing so was to bring your mutual friends to convince him. All members from 3rd life, that was enough to bring you back to his reach, where he could learn about you, much to his delight. Keeping you at arm's length was just way safer than letting you wander around servers he didn't trust or know.

At this point, he couldn't quite deny anymore that something was wrong. Despite trying over and over to think about it from all perspectives, the way things were going was alarming, at this point even you could feel something was wrong. Feeling eyes on you even while you were inside your base, in a peaceful server like Hermitcraft, it couldn't have been normal.

The pile of excuses became bigger as Impulse's pupils dilated in pure affection, snapping the picture of a perfect moment, the very first one of many to come, a soft smile blossomed at his face along with redness following from his cheeks to the tip of his ears as you brought your first pet home, smiling from ear to your beloved animal's form despite whatever it was. He wished he could have had that memory with you, that was the excuse, not only was it a one time thing but it was also important to him, the photo would work as a memory of you together. Despite him not actually being there, he decided to delude himself to believe it was like he was there anyway, taking a selfie with you as if you were aware of his presence.

Only, it wasn't a one time thing.

He had a whole collection.

It was only right, right? It's not like you can only have one single memory and call it done. Memories are supposed to be kept in group, it's a prettier word when said in plural! That's actually something you said once, he wrote it down in his little notebook of you.

That's what he would have told you to defend himself when you first saw his special 'collection of memories'.

You stared at the many pictures of you in the chest. It was a double chest full. of. pictures. of. you.

You rested your face against the palm of your hands, releasing the wooden lid which closed with a soft thud. You didn't mean to find this chest, you didn't even remember what you had come here for in the first place. The first question that went through your mind was how on earth did he have the time to take all of those pictures, like, what. With a bad feeling in your gut you moved to look for a place to sit, just now noticing how big of a place this was. It's impossible for Impulse to be able to function and have the time to not only stalk you but also build such things, this base seemed like one of his biggest he had ever done, even if more hidden than normally.

Good thing he thought ahead and hid his actual favorite photos well, well enough so you didn't see them yet, he would show them to you later, sure, but right now it wouldn't be a good start to your new relationship. He hoped you would be quick to accept this new "arrangement". It's not like he's letting you go soon, anyway.

No, no. Not really. Now he has all the time in the world to get closer to you, he made sure to fill this new house of the both of you with all sort of things he knew you liked. Now he has all the chances in the world to befriend you without awkwardness, eventually it's gonna be impossible to feel awkward with him when he's the only one you have to talk to, right?
