Ooh where are you watching hikaru no go?? It looks so cute!!

It is the cutest and I am loving it so much! I just finished episode four this morning and the characters and relationships are spectacular! I love how conflicts have been resolved too, it’s so heartfelt...

I’m currently watching it on YouTube, where iQIYI has the first seven posted. I guess once I get to the end I will have to figure out their app?? I haven't used it before, but the show doesn't seem to be up on Viki or Netflix.

I just got a flashback episode out of nowhere in Sleuth of the Ming and OMG!! Like, those incompetent fools were already sabotaging our precious boy at his graduation! Yes, it probably made his life easier not being in the spotlight, creating humbleness, yadayada, but STILL!! Sui Zhou being extremely competent and all the guards go, 0_0 ..."Dage"! And last but not least, Wang Zhi appearing like a fairy godmother to the orphans!! Honourable mention: The Ladies Army.

The flashback episode is one of my favorites! The way it showed exactly how Tang Fan, Sui Zhou, and Wang Zhi ended up where they did... Just beautiful!

Tang Fan has always been a danger to those in power! They knew it would be bad for them if he was close, given that his sense of justice and fairness matches his intellect. Tang Fan is such an interesting character and his focus once turned on a case is more powerful than these political norms. We love to see it!

Sui Zhou... he’s AMAZING even as he is running from his pain, keeping busy to prove himself, that he didn’t just get the job because of his aunt. But also coming back from war and finding some way to continue to serve. He has to outrun the nightmares he has. And then he is caught in an explosion just... he can’t catch a break and needs a hug.

With Wang Zhi, we see him watch the failings in the system that lead to this mess. When he is put in a position to start working to make sure it never happens again, he is all in. It makes his behavior before the flashback make even more sense. But also the fact when he gets some power he helps those kiddos? Gosh. Love that.

I started Sleuth of the Ming the day before yesterday and I am now at ep 20! I reaaallly like it! But man, those officials are so corrupt & incompetent, I kinda respect the emperor for putting up with it. Was very pleased though when he finally threw their bullshit evidence back at them, saying something like "I fact-checked all of this and it's rubbish!! You incompetent fools!!"

It’s so satufying when the scheming officials get the told off! Some of my favorite scenes are those were these high up men get their dirty work thrown back in their faces. And there are many more to come!

Ooooh, you are entering the “time to hate Tang Yu’s husband and in-laws” plotline! Also, Duo’erla and Wuyun just following Tang Fan around is so good I love them SO MUCH. They are family now! How could they have family dinners otherwise?
