It's the last day of Nitpick November and I wanna talk about the 'canon compliant' additional content for RWBY.

First of all, it's incredibly annoying to hear that it's 'canon compliant' that Team RWBY worked with fucking Batman in another dimension and that's never once come up somehow in the main series, and it's impossible to hear 'Amity Arena is a game that exists in Remnant-' Like WHAT?!

But on top of that, I think media in general but RWBY especially would benefit from non-canon alternate universe content that experiments with fun concepts without having to worry about canon.

"This series of short animated episodes focuses on every day events and conflicts in a world where the war never happens." That would be great.

"In this manga, we see what would happen if the teams we all know and love never got together. Yang is partnered with Pyrrha, Ruby got saddled with Cardin, Jaune is partners with Blake, Nora is partners with Weiss, Ren is partners with a new character introduced for it that seemingly existed in the backgrounds as one of the shadow people." Awesome, sign me up.

"This special released web cartoon is a coffee shop AU where Ruby and Yang are both working at Ozpin's Coffeehouse in Vale and they keep meeting people from the show and it's all comedy driven and fun and cute and quirky." Sounds like a dream.

"Roleswap AU where the main hero characters are Emerald and Mercury and Ruby and her team are evil followers of Salem who need to get redeemed." YES PLEASE.

"Comic where Team RWBY actually suggested the 'use the staff to create bridges to get to Vacuo' plan when they first realized Salem was on her way, but because Cinder still showed up to try to wreck everything, tons more people fell into the Ever After and now we're going to follow the wacky shenanigans of Ruby attempting to get together all the Atlas people including still good!Ironwood, Whitley, the Happy Huntresses, the Ace Ops, Team FNKI, etcetera and get them all back home." I would definitely read that.

Instead they're like "Do you want to see Team RWBY go on some missions in Atlas set during a montage in season seven while they fight a union leader?" "How would you feel about watching VTuber RWBY talk about making microaggressions against Velvet?" "This arc set in-between V1 and V2 is about Weiss being anti-faunus in a dream where she has to be rescued and it will never come up in the main show.'

Talk about missed opportunities. I may not like additional fan content very much, but I'd like it a whole lot better if it was experimental fun concepts and less 'no see, this actually could've happened off screen.' Enough of Ruby already happened off screen, I don't need to add Batman into that list, thank you.

Joe Hills - 7/10 he doesn’t really consider himself part of the community but he has a sparkledog sona and dresses up in his homemade diy fursuit sometimes. he respects furries deeply and does not tolerate hate towards them

Xisuma - 8/10 totally a furry he changes his skin all the time to dress up as the latest minecraft mob. he already has a “cringe” oc (evil x). he doesn’t even know what a furry is i think but he probably owns a fursuit anyway because he thinks its neat

Hypno - 3/10 he’d say no but give him cat ears to match with max and he’ll be wearing them every stream from now on

Keralis - 2/10 pretends to not know what a furry is but he does. he does.

Mumbo - 1/10 logically he would know of furries due to his young age and activeness online but i don’t believe he does, he has never heard of a furry and never will

Cleo - 6/10 with enough encouragement she’d wear a fursuit. maybe if joe made one for them. she’s got a vtuber avatar so this is just next in the pipeline i think

Stress - 2/10 i think she’d find the idea of furries cute and funny but wouldn’t be one

Zedaph - 9/10 you’d see him rocking up to furcon. his fursona would be a weirdass sheep worm hybrid

MAN you have no idea how happy I am that they really keep reminding everyone of what Eggman is really like in recent official media. I'm feeling so vindicated when stuff like this blatantly proves that my analysis, interpretations, and understanding of him are correct!

It's so nice to see all this after stuff like IDW making people believe Eggman is a lesser evil, has hidden secret good-hearted motives where he cares about how his goals benefit others, and that it's possible for him to change.

Nah they said he's the most dangerous threat, reminded everyone of his true selfish motives and goals of having control and being the center of attention, and emphasized that him changing his ways is a silly unrealistic concept! This is the real Eggman that I know and love with all my heart 🥰

With Sega reminding everyone of Eggman's truths in both English and Japanese in this and TailsTube + the real Eggman I love and missed so dearly finally returning in IDW #50, recent official media just keeps saying and showing everything that I've been passionately rambling about forever, sometimes almost word for word! :'D

And how Sega is providing the story, backstory, and plot beats while Flynn does dialogue combined with all these recent events, I'm feeling a lot better and less worried about the Eggman portrayal in Frontiers, whatever his role may be. I think it's gonna be alright 💜

so, without further ado… hello! i am, unsurprisingly, the lich queen vtuber known as ialdabaoth (pronounced like yal • da • bay • oth, or yal • da • both if you’re a fast talker). i have a great many names; my enemies know me as the withering queen, and twitch dot tv dot com knows me as OGDemiurge (for the time being, anyway; the name is subject to change. stay tuned for info about that). but you can just call me iald, if you want.

little known fact about lichdom: maintaining it can be real damn hard sometimes. it’s not easy to be a literal rotting corpse, and to walk around on the street in search of souls to fill your phylactery, without people running away screaming from your spirit halloween lookin ass.

even the queen of england couldn’t keep up the act forever! you really gotta put in the work, and that’s not a particularly easy thing when you’ve focused completely on necromantic spells, and failed to add a little bit of enchantment and/or illusion and/or transmutation to the pile in order to keep your shit covered. turns out, there is such a thing as having too many cool skeletons in your cool skeleton army. and i, unfortunately, found this out the hard way.

honorable mention: a LOT of different archetypes, but Cyber Dragon, Ruin/Apocalypse and Familiar Possessed come to mind. big big fan, but it just barely didn't make this list

5: Evil★Twin/Live★Twin. I don't play the archetype but. lesbian vtuber gamers who moonlight as lesbian phantom thieves. I can't not stan them.

4: Galaxy/Photon. I just think they're neat and pretty. The 2000 ATK focus is kinda cool, but the whole "anti-XYZ" dealio always felt underwhelming.

3: Odd-Eyes. I love Yuya and I love Yuya's archetypes and Odd-Eyes is probably my favorite. I'm a huge sucker for archetypes that play a bunch of different summoning types, even if they often end up playing messy.

2: Sacred Beast. I also could put Earthbound Immortal here as a shoe-in nostalgic archetype for me, but Sacred Beast's structure deck support makes them so fucking cool and fun to play, even if not really competitive. If EI got support like that, I'd be over the fucking moon.

1: Qliphort. Could it be anything else? They're Jewish kabbalah computer program airships. I mean? they're basically designed for me djhfbgjhb

nikolai was vtubing on genshin in his beautiful basement i mean lab with hi beautful basic vtuber rig. he had developed a genshin related gambling addiction but we sacrifice a lot for the grind right

"chat for the last time im not telling youm how to make explosives" he said sayingly.

grem came downstairs with a handful of mail and a glass of bourbon. whether is was for them or nikolai is up to the viewersimaination. nikolai cant fuckin drink to save his life tho

"hey honey" crooned grem. "we got mail and other stuff."

"thats lovely" replied nik. "here that chat? we got maik"

the chat startedpogging as grem gave nik a kiss on the cheek (briefly fucking up the vtuber model) as e read out the mail.

"evictio notice... eviction notice... soebody else's eviction notice... fan mail... my IP adress.. grocery store coupon... and a strange letter."

izou and salieri start a new stardew valley multiplayer game w arjuna bc the new update is coming up and they need to catch him up on current mechanics/events so he can appreciate it

arjuna creates an incredibly complex private minecraft server for him and salieri and izou in return for letting him play stardew with them. respawn with no item loss, a bunch of retextures, QoL mods. they have fun after the initial battles over a small patch of spruce trees.

this is separate from the giant minecraft server that all of chaldea is in (state of constant warfare most toxic thing youve ever seen) and the 100 club server (not actually exclusive to them but its a lot smaller and youre allowed in if you promise to be mostly chill)

salieri writing and producing merlins vtuber stream intro and outro for the low low price of all of his desserts as long as hes in chaldea forever and ever

merlin is not invited to stardew multiplayer because he ""plays the game wrong"" (read: he is more focused on heart events and story stuff getting done at his own pace then min/maxxing or being sure to get all the fish in a season)

arjuna is a sonic speedrunner in my heart forever so he dedicates a lot of time to that but doesnt stream it, just records without player sound. no one else is running sonic currently so the entire leaderboard is him against himself and he still gets so frustrated abt it. its sad but also moe.

murasaki and oberon have their own stardew multiplayer game but oberon has used cheats to get them 99 of every item so they can just relax and play all the character stuff at their own pace.

scathach fighting game grind never stops shes in the arcade shes hogging the ps4 shes kinda rude about it but shes really good. square up.
